Best Fried Chicken in town! Every time we're in the mood for a great chicken dinner we go to L&T's. The service ribs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which are good. But the fried chicken is what you go for! My husband likes the coleslaw, but I always get the mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans. As a previous reviewer said you do have to salt your green beans, but better no salt when they get to the table then so salty you can't eat them.

Oh my! I had read about their fried checken. I had the 3 piece meal with 2 sides and a bisquit. 2 thighs and 1 leg. This has to be the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. Coating was crispy and flavorful; chicken was moist inside. Fried okra was really good; potato salad was above average. Be prepared to wait after you order. Nothing is prepared in advance to sit under a warming light. They fry the chicken after it is ordered. And I think the okra was fried after I ordered. The staff is super friendly. Overall a great experience!

The fried chicken is always fresh and love the biscuits. The staff makes you feel welcomed. The prices are good so i would recommend if you are traveling through. Definately prefer eating here than the fast foods off interstate.

Solid food and friendly people. It's worth four stars because of the value more than anything. Goodland has its fair share of American eateries, but L&T Family Restaurant is a great place to come if you like fried chicken. They serve it up for lunch and dinner at very affordable prices. Their first year in business, we used to worry they would have to shut their doors because it was priced so low. That being said, they have lasted in a spot where so many other restaurants have failed. Their fried chicken is the star of the menu-- affordable and piping hot (broasted in style, not panfried if you're a stickler for ultra-homemade chicken). The biscuits are buttery. The mashed potatoes and gravy are homemade. And I prefer to get either baked beans or green beans because corn isn't much of a vegetable. You'll have to liberally salt the green beans and mashed potatoes. They serve Coca-cola products. One day, I'll walk in there and order "four fried chickens and a Coke" ala 'Joliet' Jake Blues.

It was just ok bbq. I've had better, I've had worse. I had bbq brisket, mashed potatoes and green beans. The brisket wasn't bad but it wasn't spectacular. It was just ok. The mashed potatoes were good. My kids had a hot dog and a cheeseburger. My son didn't really eat the cheeseburger, saying it tasted funny. I took a bite and it had some kind of unidentifiable strange taste. My other son ate his hotdog without complaints. The waitress replaced the cheeseburger with a chicken leg which somehow appeared in less than 3 minutes. He said it tasted fine.
