Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Finally an Italian place in Emporia that I can stand behind. I remember Napoli's and Veronas and they weren't all that great. My fiance and I walked in and noticed that the place was busy. We were a little weary. But the whole staff, not just our waitress was attentive to us and the whole restaurant. We started off with the stuffed mushrooms and let me tell you...these were the best stuffed mushrooms that I have had. They were flavorful and very easy on the pallet as an appetizer. We ordered the Tortellini Siciliano and the Eggplant Parmasagno. The portion sizes were just perfect. I took home half of my Eggplant and pasta. The eggplant was extraordinary. And the sauce on the tortellini Siciliano was wonderful and the pasta tasted homemade. The only complaint that we had was the bread. While the butter spread was good, the bread should have been softer instead of a hard top. They will definitely receive my business again.

The restaurant was nowhere near full when we stopped for dinner around 8 PM. Seated immediately next to a very loud family group with several small, very tired and hungry children. We ordered an appetizer, which we never received. The waitress took several tries to get our salad dressing a correct. Our entrees were good, didn't take too long to come out. The actual restaurant badly needs attention. The AC struggled to keep up and the floors and tables were sticky. Restrooms were very run down, but appeared clean. Our waitress was inattentive and flustered, blaming non-English speaking cooks for the missing appetizer. While the food was average and appropriately priced, the service was such that we likely will not return.

Have Giovanni's another shot. Service was exponentially better, and the food was very good. Could definitely tell food was hand made. Glad I have them another chance. Less then 20 minutes, seated to appetizers and meal.

The food here was absolutely delicious! Coming from Fort Worth Texas, there are plenty of Italian restaurants to choose from and this place was definitely one of my favorites. The food tasted very authentic. Our service was great and correct. I had the tortellini with the marinara and Alfredo with mushrooms added and I ate every bit of it :) the only reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because the place itself seemed like it could use a makeover or at least fix the leaky sink in the women's restroom but besides from this-what a great find in Emporia!

We've eaten there twice. Both times service was great and the authentic Italian food was excellent and served hot. Their hot bread is outstanding.

Food was Delicious. Some of my family got theirs cold but still tasted good. The atmosphere needs some serious attention, but I'm sure they know that.

Went for dinner yesterday early so not busy at the time. Our server was great, she was very attentive. The hot bread was awesome, unfortunately that was the highlight of our meal. I had the manicotti with Alfredo sauce. My manicotti was drowning in sauce, and and completely fell apart and was impossible to cut. It was like soup with ricotta and mozzarella lumped through it, very bland. Chris had the pasta special with manicotti, lasagna, and fettucini Alfredo. When Chris got his dinner the lasagna and manicotti were hot but the fettucini was undercooked and the sauce was cold. We brought this to our servers attention, and she said she would make sure it was fixed. He had the manicotti and lasagna, figuring they would refire the fettucini and bring that out. They brought him another complete platter! This time the fettucini was hot and cooked right. Really, when we left we didn't feel like we had Italian food at all, and we have had truly amazing Italian food before so we know the difference. So, customer service and the bread was great, the meal...meh, I think even Olive Garden can do better. Probably won't return.
