This place caught my eye from the road, I had to check it out. I ordered the vanilla concrete (similar to a Dairy Queen Blizzard) with almonds, pecans, and bananas. It was sooooo good, OMG!!! I've never had frozen custard before, but I am such a fan because of this place! I was driving and I literally could not stop eating it; mind you this was in the middle of November, lol. I have not tried the food yet, and I dont think I will. No real reason, I just like it as a dessert spot. Thanks Freddy!!

I used to work there! =] i can honestly say if you want good food that is ALWAYS fresh NO EXCEPTIONS go to the store in derby! i know for fact that the managers there will do whatever possible to insure that you get fresh food and to the best quality! I know i will always go there because i saw first hand how sanatized they keep the store and how much the guest really means to them! they only buy quality food and they only serve quality food. they ensure that your experience is the best that it can possibly be. whether it be the cashier when she greets you the girls in the lobby taking your trays or just making sure everything is looking okay to the cooks in the back insureing you get AMAZING food fast. its not your typical resturant. they take that extra step EVERY time. no exceptions. If you've never tried the place..go there. do yourself the privledge!! id suggest getting the number one!! its delicious!! and while your at it DEFINATELY TRY THE CUSTARD!!! omg if you've never had custard GO RIGHT THIS SECOND! you're missing out! the pbc and b is probably the best! but anyways thats my opinion! go try it asap! cuz you are missing out!

I go to Freddy's everytime I am in derby. The wait on a food order is about 5 minutes but it is most definately worth it!!! I get the grilled chicken sandwich (which is normally a pretty good sized breast compared to local restaurants) and fries. The fries with their seasoning and fry sauce are heavenly! They are the main reason my family keeps coming back! The custard is delicious and so creamy! I love the turtle concrete sundaes loaded with warm carmel, chocolate, and delicious carmelized pecans! I highly recommend Freddy's to anybody looking for a good burger/ ice cream restaurant!

I come to visit Wichita, Kansas yearly on July 4th and there are barely any good reviews on icecream places here on yelp. So I heard from my uncle that this was one of the other good places besides Braum's. We ended up going here, instead of another place. It was amazing! I never tried custard before, or so I think. I got the Hawaiian Delight and it was delicious. I'm not the biggest fan of pineapples but it was still delicious. Although, my cup was leaking it didn't matter. I even took a picture and some even said it looked like a milkshake. Tasty looking and great tasting too! I definately would want to come back here next time I come back. The environment is also pretty clean and the place is huge. I haven't tried the burgers but I would love to in the near future.

BEST burger in Derby. I've never been disappointed with any aspect of my visits. The wait staff are some of the nicest anywhere. They are always pleasant and eager to insure your visit is perfect. Keep up the great work guys n gals. It is being noticed.

Decent burgers, but very thin, so a hungry person is going to want a double. They only put pickles and onions on by default, so you're going to want to augment if you want more vegetables on your burger. The burger and hot dog combo is a great idea if you want a little of both. But, whatever you do, save room for the frozen custard. That's the really unique part about what this place has to offer. It's fantastic.

I visit this location regularly, always friendly service and delicious food. They can be a bit slow sometimes compared with other Freddys locations, food is always more consistent here though so it's worth the wait. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good burger place or to get good ice cream.

I haven't got to try the frozen custard yet, but I was impressed by the steak burger and fries I had. All the food was freshly cooked when I ordered The burger was a very good basic cheeseburger but the fries were awesome. They server true shoestring fries, they were hot and very crunchy on the outside and creamy inside. I will be going back (it's an hour drive) next time I'm in the area or in need of a road trip.
