The upside: Good menu with options for all palates including vegetarian. Lively atmosphere - casual dress and inexpensive price points. The downside: long wait for the host to see us and seat us while multiple waitstaff passed us standing at the door without acknowledging our presence, waitress brought salad but failed to notice that we had no utensils. The save - the host saw we needed utensils and napkins and quickly brought them over. We can recommend the catfish and the garden nachos. Ike's Place is a good option for dinner in Abilene but the service could be sharper.

Great place! Been here twice both times passing through, and both times were around 7pm, expected to have to wait to be seated with a group of 11 people, but both times was accommodated quickly! Food was really great too! Nice friendly staff, and great drink and food specials! Had the same waitress both times, (forgot her name-_-) but she was the greatest! Food took a little longer, but quick and at the same time with a group of 11! Overall 99.2%. It's a family friendly place, with a bar atmosphere. There are booths, tables, and bar seating. Awesome environment! Definately going to go again if we pass through nearby. Thanks!

My salmon salad was wonderful! The menu posted online did not correspond to the menu that I now use. Just be aware of that before you go.

The food here is good. It's always been quality, and comparable to an Applebees or something similar for menu. Nice to have in a small town. Only drawback is that it always seems to take FOREVER for food to come out.

Not a san Fran 5 star but definitely a 5 star i70 place. Good burger. Good drink. Justin our young server was wonderful. Ask for Justin's table and tip him well. No I am not his mother!

Great food and service. The Veggie Burger rocked and the Ike's Pasta Salad was excellent. This was a great stop on the book tour and fun to catch some of the football games too. Great server as well!!!

Being just an occasional visitor to the area I love a good local bar. This is a step or two above a dive bar. Food is decent but what you'd expect in regards to bar good. Cheap drinks! Love small town prices.

We have become frequent visitors here, but had a very poor visit tonight. First the potato soup was room temperature to cold. The waitress was very scarce, so I didn't get a replacement for my soup. The meal was actually pretty good. We didn't get asked about refills, and the waitress was again scarce. A manager did stop by the table and ask my son what he was drinking, but she never reappeared with a refill. We had the AHS discount card which stated that we would receive 15% off the entree's. They only took the discount off of one, and again the waitress was scarce and I wasn't able to discuss the bill with her. Sometimes we go and have a great visit, and then there's tonight. I'm not sure why the consistency isn't there. They've been open for awhile now. We may or may not be back.

Wow, I really thought that my vegan options in Abilene would be limited...but not thanks to Ike's! Even my fellow diners were able to get exactly the kinds of food they wanted. I can't wait to get back to Abilene, just so I can eat again at Ike's!

My husband and I went here for a date night on a Friday. The restaurant was busy, but not packed. The menu has a surprising number of vegetarian options, which was great. I enjoyed their side of broccoli slaw with my veggie sandwich. Their bar is fully-stocked and the staff is knowledgeable. Our server, Ashley, had several tables but managed to provide us with adequate attention. In fact, the only thing keeping this from being a five star review is the fact that the service was a bit scattered due to how very busy the restaurant was--it wasn't too bad, though. The environment and ambiance reminded me of a bigger city, which was a fun change. Overall, the experience was quite pleasant.

The BBQ Burger is the best burger I've ever enjoyed. The bread is excellent, the meat juicy, and the saucy mix simply exquisite!!! Wish I lived in Abilene!!

Will eat here every so often, but sometimes wonder why we come back. Food is good for the most part, but often times service is just slow like either they don't have enough help or the help they have isn't capable. I'm not the only one to notice the slow service so can't believe the owners wouldn't hear the complaints.

A hidden gem. Great American food, very reasonablely priced. Very friendly staff. Drink specials daily. Really excellent prime rib. Next table had a large Ruben sandwich. I almost changed my order. 1/2 priced Margaritas on Monday. Our waitperson, perky Hanna is going to nursing school in Topeka. Her Dad has a local Abilene carpet store. If you are in Abilene....
