Went here for lunch recently....good place, limited menu. Service was a bit slow but the mushroom swiss burger I had was pretty good along with the vegetable soup. Will be trying this place again perhaps for breakfast.

Food was very mediocre. Service was good. Decorations were eclectic.

Great addition to downtown! Great daily specials on top of a good menu. Tried their stuffed cabbage casserole- been craving it ever since. Soups were excellent and place was super clean! This lady will be back!

Hello, FOOD SNOB here. A cool 50s style diner. Good place for breakfast or lunch. Eggs with bacon and corned beef hash. Can't complain. BLT with fries, very satisfying. Plenty of bacon. Heard a friend said to try the Meatloaf. I need to try that next time. also need to try a Burger.

Why only 3 stars Yelpers?! come on! This place is good, friendly, and close to home! It has a rather small menu, but it's a retro diner it doesn't need to be flashy!! And is it just me, or are all Elite Yelpers snobs? I haven't seen ONE ELITE give beyond a 3! Lame! But anyway, back to the review. We ate here last night. Greeted and Seated promptly. They have 2 sides to the place the blue side or the purple side of what I only imagine as the old living room/dining room of this place. It has a great "at home" feel to it. The counter area on the blue side where they made my chocolate malt (omg my chocolate malt was soooo good!) has a picture of a little girl (I'm assuming a grand daughter?) standing at that very counter. I dig pictures like that! I never ventured over to the purple side, but I'm guessing that's the kitchen side since that's where our server kept appearing from with plates of food! Fried pickles, a Reuben, a create your own burger...all fresh made to order! We were going to order a banana split for dessert but we were already full! Plus the boy's coke never ran empty (which is quite a feat since he drinks cola like it's the last thing left on Earth and he's been in the desert for a month!) The fries could've used a little salt, but that's why the put it on the table right? I would LOVE to take my parents here for the nostalgia and trivia they have on the walls/front cove. I will definitely be returning!

This is a recently opened place. They may still be getting the operation streamlined, as it was a bit slow even though we dropped in early at 11:10AM for lunch, and they only had a couple of 6-person groups there. The menu looked to be basic diner stuff and not too large on selections - sandwiches, burgers, chili, etc. The food took a while (I just had a turkey club with a side of chili), and no one came back for water refills. Maybe they will improve over time.

They don't have very many options on the menu. I went in sort of a hurry for lunch and wound up getting a BLT to go because they didn't have (m)any vegetarian options. It was a BLT, so you can't really mess that up. It was what I expected. Staff seemed nice.

Skeeter's Diner knows how to do breakfast well. This is a new place, and it is nice and clean with a classic diner theme. It has music to match the decor, though they do need a jukebox repairman to fix their machine. Booths have sparkly vinyl bench seats with plenty of cushion. The bar stools at the counter are classic chrome and vinyl, but are too tall for the counter -- either that, or the counter is too short. We saw an average-sized woman sitting with her knees almost at counter level. Odds and ends aside, did I mention everything was new and clean? Clean is good. The restroom was clean and new, too. Good. And service was good, too. We had fresh coffee poured quickly and steadily -- and it was fresh, not burnt from sitting on a warmer too long. We had water set up quickly, too. Breakfast was served soon after our order, and it was surprisingly good. A high point was the biscuits and gravy, with light, fluffy biscuits that were lightly buttered before the gravy was poured. I have never had them this way, with the butter, and the flavors were all executed so perfectly that hint of butter made the biscuits and gravy hum.... We also loved the cubed, lightly roasted red potatoes served with our scrambled eggs. They were cooked perfectly, with just a hint of oil, roasted to a subtle crisp, and appropriately soft, skin on. Nice. A "choose your ingredients" breakfast sandwich, a croissant with egg, bacon, and Swiss cheese, was nicely done. French toast served as a side with the eggs (choice of toast, French toast, or pancakes) could have used a longer dip in the batter, but was okay. Portion sizes were just right -- we left feeling comfortably full and not stuffed. We did take half of our order of biscuits and gravy home to enjoy another day. All in all, it was a nice, relaxing, comfortable breakfast, with above average food. If you haven't been here for breakfast yet, it is definitely worth a try. Breakfast is served from 5 to 11 a.m.

2nd time here in as many days. The servers are friendly, the service is fast, the food is fresh. What a great combination! We ordered a bacon, sausage and green pepper skillet with American potatoes (instead of hash browns) and a side of pancakes. The over easy eggs were slightly overcooked but still good. The pancakes taste great even without butter and syrup. The ladies bathroom is quaint and clean. I was impressed that they have a real changing table.

We love, love, love Skeeters! You can get a huge fresh cooked delicious breakfast here for under 5 bucks! The staff and owners are super friendly and provide great service. The burger is a good choice for lunch. The chill is awesome too! They also have really cute decor and it is always clean. Skeeter's will not disappoint!

Diner food "and what's wrong with that? I'd like to know!" BLT was great, burger was so not greasy that it was dry but tasty nonetheless. The minestrone soup was great! Service was good but they forgot the cole slaw that came with the meal. The decor is incredibly tacky. You have to see it to believe it. I will try it again but not on a daily basis.

Was in town for business for a few days and I ate there 3 times in 4 days. Everyone was nice and the service was good. Typical diner food but it was fresh and tasty.
