Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

It's pretty good food for Wabash - still kind of bland as you'd expect for a Mexican restaurant in the midwest. That said, every time I've been here (more than just the once I've checked in thus far), everything has been tasty. And the margaritas are delicious! It's definitely the spot to go and you want Mexican in Wabash. The decorations are cool too. That said, it is a bit more expensive than a lot of other sitdown in the area.

When we first arrived to this restuarant, they asked us how many and rolled their eyes. They then grabbed menus from the entry stand and went to the bar area (without even asking if we wanted to sit in the bar). We figured we were supposed to follow them but they never said. When we got to the table, we sat down. After several minutes of looking at the menu, our server brought us chips and salsa and said something we couldn't hear. She then finally asked us what we wanted to drink. She then brought drinks and we did not see her again for several more minutes. We finally got sick of the attitude crappy service so my boyfriend said that he was not getting good vibes here and decided to leave. Unfortunately, since we left so fast, I forgot my phone on the table. I went back to get it and our attitude server insisted we pay for the drinks (sodas!) that we never drank. We did pay for them thinking they were holding my phone hostage for the four dollars. They still insisted they did not have my phone and called the cops. The cops came, looked at the table (by then, of course, the phone was no longer at the table.) I looked at my find my phone app when I got back to my computer and of course, Lookout found it right at the restaurant. These people are thieves along with crappy service and attitude!!! If you decide to eat here, do not bring anything with you and pay cash so they do not steal your credit card. I myself, would never go back here as I would be afraid they would spit in my food for spite.

If you want cheap eats downtown, this is the place. The service is dreadful, but the food is better than the other local Mexican restaurant. If you're not in a hurry, and don't mind double checking your bill and a few spilled drinks, go here.

Shrimp Cancun is amazing. Mushrooms, shrimp and jalapeños sautéed in garlic butter. Impressed. Other members of our party had fajitas which where good as well. Shrimp dishes ftw.

Generic Americanized Mexican food. Nothing too special. But, I haven't eaten here in a few years...maybe they've changed.

After 10 years in CA, I have developed quite a taste for Mexican food. Unfortunately, Ann Arbor is seriously lacking in this department. Lucky for me, my hometown now has one seriously MUY BUENO Mexican restaurant! Everything we've tried has been really, really good!! We now have my Dad hooked on carnitas, even though he "complains" that they give him too much. (hello, doggie bag?) On a recent visit we were thrilled to discover that they now also have a TEQUILA menu. Anyone who knows me will tell you I'm a tequila snob, so when I got a look at their menu and I did one of those cartoon character eyes popping out of my head, that should tell you something. I immediately ordered a shot of Casa Noble Anejo to sip with my dinner. YUM! AND (yep, there's more), at Christmas time, when I volunteered to teach my younger cousins to make tamales, the owner totally hooked me up with some cornhusks, since none of the grocery stores in town sold them. I know, a city of 12,000 in Indiana of all places.....

The stars are for nice decor in both rooms, a full bar and the Poblano chile dish with 4 shrimp on it. It always has 4 shrimp, exactly, and they are flavorful and grilled, not tough but tender and juicy. Also, the owner is a very elegant and well-mannered, gentle man. That said, they use American cheese in their quesadillas and broccoli and mushrooms in their vegetarian dishes, which should be illegal (it is, in the Southwest), the enchilada sauce isn't good (I'll try the green, I've only had the red one), and the service is very spotty. When I ordered something wretched (vegetarian burrito) and it sat uneaten on my plate, then I complained about it, my waitress never asked if she could make it up to me in any way, just took my money like all was well. Another time they charged me extra for asking for spicier salsa (theirs is bland). There are other restaurants in town, where when you ask for something better, you get it.
