Good Cajun, cheap price, OK ambience, clean restrooms. Opened Jan 2013. Has sister store in Champaign, Illinois. Kinda a Disney version of a Cajun restaurant. I prefer my Cajun a little raunchier served up by a rough & rowdy crew. But hey, maybe that is just me.

Food was excellent ! It was like being in the French Quarter without the beignets . The drunken chicken and gumbo are a must.

I am impressed by the quality of the shrimp Ã©touffÃ©e. Not surprisingly, the majority of the customers here are not terribly with Cajun food so the menu is not that big. Still, for southern Indiana it's pretty good.

My first review on Yelp! I use the app all the time during my travels and am not much of a review writer, more of a reader! Anyway, I had to leave a review for J. Gumbo's, as this will be their first review, also. Great food! Clean! Friendly staff! Wide assortment of Gumbos and they let you try samples before you decide. I highly recommend! I am writing this review as I am eating and all the sudden a young man whipped out his electric guitar and started playing some blues! This place is cool! Wish they had beer, would go great with the spicy gumbo and tunes, as I sit here sweating! A++++++
