Typical Starbucks. I have heard complaints about this one being slow. I've been here several times & sometimes they are slow, but they always get it right. Plus the staff is super friendly. I like the staff here better thank across town. Plus I normally end up getting the PupCup. My dogs love it & it's just a very cool bonus.

I honestly dread coming to this Starbucks location because of the unnecessary extra time that I have become accustomed to factoring into my visits here. Unfortunately, I am addicted to Starbucks coffee, it may seem, and this location just happens to be the most convenient one for me. I suppose I have no choice, therefore, but to continue to waste precious minutes of my life on an almost daily basis standing around waiting for the employees here to finish their private, non-work-related conversations before they are able to get around to taking my order. On the brighter side, I guess, during these unnecessary waits, I am provided free entertainment in the annoying form of getting to hear ALL about the employee's kids, schools, phones, apps, work schedules, and other useless information! Wait, nevermind, on second thought, I'd rather that they all just shut up already, get to work, and focus on servicing their customers instead of wasting their customers' time.

Love my dark roast from Starbucks. Typical Starbucks with typical Starbucks employees. No complaints here. Drive thru service was fast and painless. Only thing is they really over filled my cup and it was crappy trying to get the top open without spilling coffee all over my hands. Thank God I opened it outside!

This is the second time in the past two weeks that I've made the mistake of going inside this Starbucks store. The problem you ask? Answer: a staff that looks confused as to what to do with people who actually come inside, resulting in a silly long wait. That being said, after finally getting to speak to a barista, they are polite and nice. Conclusion: go through the drive through then bring your order in and sit down.

Now, I know you're wondering why I would take the time to review a Starbucks. "But, they're all the same!", you say. Not true, my friend. Not true. This is especially not true in a small town versus the Big City- Chicago, being the closest instance of what I'm talking about. Valpo has two Starbucks locations. One on LaPorte Ave and one on Hwy 30. The location on Hwy 30 (or Morthland Drive to its friends) is the Bees Knees; and here's why: 1) The friendliest, nicest staff ever - These people greet everyone like they're a regular, and that can't be bought. 2) An Uber-Awesome manager - Tom, the manager at this location, is stellar. If he wasn't super, it's unlikely the staff would be super. He goes outside and picks up litter out of the parking lot, people. Now that's a manager! 3) Good Feng-Shui - No, seriously. Some Starbucks locations are cold. This one isn't. Some locations are noisy and filled with echoes. This one isn't. Some suffer from a lack of seating in general and of comfy chairs in particular. This one doesn't. For its size, it is comfy, well laid out and inviting. Go here. Drink coffee.

There are all the same. The only difference is the staff. My wife stopped going there. She felt like she was being hit on by the drive-thru staff on every visit. I even noticed it once when she was the passenger. So now we only go to the Lincoln-Way establishment
