This is possibly the best apple orchard to go to in Indiana! It has a large variety of apples. You can even sample some! It also has a train (on wheels not a track) that runs on weekends, a super slide, a bamboo maze, pony rides, tractor drawn wagon rides, and a petting zoo that you and your kids can enjoy! It has a country store where you can buy fudge, ice cream, baked goods and eat them inside or under the covered picnic area. This place is very huge with a lot of nice scenery great for pictures! My wife and I love to come here for the apple cider. We always buy a jug to take home. We always come here in the Fall, but they are even open during Spring, Summer, and part of Winter. So, if you're looking for a great apple orchard, this would definitely be the place to go!

We've gone to AppleWorks for years and have always enjoyed our time there. This year, they started charging for things they haven't in the past. For instance, for 4 of us to take a 3 minute ride to the pumpkin patch, it cost $5 (side note: you can drive yourself). We asked when they started charging and the answer was this year. We told to him to please take back to the owners that we'd much rather pay a little more for our pumpkins than be nickel and dimed like that. We usually spend quite a bit of money on our day there, and we were happy to do it to support a local business. This year, we were pretty put off by paying $5 to have a chance to BUY a pumpkin that we didn't buy much. A couple of Apple ciders for the kids and that was it. AppleWorks, please go back to how you used to be...a fun family day where we don't have to pull out our wallets every time we turn around. A day like that makes me want to support you...to buy the beautiful gourds, apples, pumpkins and baked goods you have there.

A little hard to find, but once I got there, Apple Works exceeded my expectations. The store had lots more than apples. They sample all the apple varieties, and I ended up buying a peck of Gold Rushes. Had never even heard of them, but they're tasty! Also tried the apple bread and brought home a loaf to eat and a loaf to freeze. Nice big covered picnic pavilion in a gorgeous setting. I'll be back!

Super cute place to drive out to on a fall afternoon. The apple cider slushie and apple donuts were out favorite!! Space is tight and it was super crowed but we got a bag of my favorite Honey Crisp apples much cheaper than you can at Kroger. Major downside is they only have port-a-pottys which is s NO-GO for me!!

Great place to go and just check out if you've never been! The family and I went this past Sunday so we could let the kids pick out a pumpkin in the pumpkin patch. We took the wagon ride to the pumpkin patch which oddly cost money when you're already buying a pumpkin from them?!! This place gets super crowded and is hard to get around in the tiny market. A plus is the apple dumplings with ice cream, very very good! One last thing, in my opinion they need to black top the parking lot and smooth it out make it a tad bigger too!

Place is rad for a date or family outing. Stay away from the places near Indy.

The only free things here is the music, the view, the petting zoo and slide. The pony rides are $3, the train ride is $3 each, the ride to the pumpkin patch is $1.25 for adults and $1 for kids two and over. The price for the pumpkins was 35 cents a pound. The caramel apples were 3 for $5.95. Lots of people at the end of September. You don't get to pick your own apples. Not a lot of space in their shop. Having the apple setup inside wastes a lot of space and I think it should be moved outside. The apple cider is $6.50 a gallon. Couldn't find any apple butter but also couldn't move very well inside the shop. They do take credit cards or debit cards. If you need cash, as there are no atms there, you can ask the cashier for cash back after you buy something at the shop.

We do an annual trek down here and were just there last weekend. The apple crop truly recovered after last year's drought! This years batch is plentiful and delicious! No fighting over those Honey Crisps this year :) This is the only orchard we've found that lets you get a mix of different types of apples in one bag. This is perfect for me since I like all different types and hate to have to pick just one! The baked goods are amazing too; this year we got apple dumplings. They were soooooo good. Flaky, not too thick crust, surrounding a perfectly cooked apple. A little container of dumpling sauce comes with them which is basically cider, cinnamon and sugar, but keeping it on the side until you serve them at home keeps them from getting soggy! I love the store too; must stock up on apple butter for the long winter ahead. I bought some winter squash too; 4 big butternut and acorn for $3 total! Definitely worth the drive down!

Really enjoyed our first trip to The Apple Works. Busy, but to be expected in the middle of October. Great selection of products in the shop, nice pumpkin selection for this late in the season, and a lot of great activities for kids. We went with 4 younger kids and they stayed busy even without paying for the train or pony rides. Definitely will be going back again!

So totally overrun with people in the fall that it was half an hour wait in line just to buy apple cider or apples. And after waiting in line twice for a tractor, once to get to the pumpkin patch and once to leave the pumpkin patch, we left without buying anything other than the pumpkins. That's especially disappointing since they grow such a wide variety of apples. Unfortunately, they seemed to put more time and energy into Disney-fying the experience than on producing good products and then making it easy for people to buy them.

Like Disneyland ... with apples! The ratio of kids to adults here is pretty high, which is to be expected in late October. No matter where you go in this sprawling complex that includes an apple orchard, a pumpkin patch and a petting zoo, you can hear the din of children's voices. This may be music to some of your ears or you may be looking for an autumn outing with your own kiddos--if so, you've definitely found your spot! They have diversions like a tiny train that loops around the orchard and a giant sling shot where you can try to shoot gourds into rings floating in a small reservoir. There were still a lot of choice pumpkins left the week before Halloween, and the grounds are a nice place to walk around and soak up the fall weather. They were making money hand over fist at their little country store, selling pies, sacks of apples and other related treats. The caramel apples were not-too-sweet and I've been enjoying the cider I took away ever since. Four stars for the quality products, and three stars for the atmosphere.

By far the best peaches and apples I have ever had. They have a booth at the Broadripple Farmers market and we always by our peaches, apples and eggs from them. In the fall we stop by the Trafalgar store, it is super crowded. Very very very long lines so be patient but their Honeycrisp apples are worth it. Make sure to get the big bag, you won't find apples this tasty in the grocery store.

I used to work on a new home in the area, and would stop by for cheese, apples and cider whenever I drove by. This place is nice, I recommend.

They have done SO MUCH with this place from when I first remember it. If you are headed to Nasville Indiana, Make sure to take a swing by the Appleworks! This place is perfect for dates and during the warmer weekends they have a barbeque where everything doesn't go above 5 bucks. This includes Hotdog, Coleslaw, Drink and chips. Yum Tastic! They have a series of signs on the side of the building. one says something like "No wonder they call it MENstrel pain".... Ew..... Anyway, Take your kids, bring your dates, Go during the fall. OMG definitely go during the fall! Go on a day where its like 55 and sunny, and the wind is slightly dancing through the air. You can smell the mix of apples, forest and barbeque all mixing together to create some sort of kick ass mix that will make you want to cry. It is beyond amazing. GO and enjoy! When you go, tell them Josh sent you!

This was a very enjoyable afternoon. Very nice for kids. Lots of activities for them: small petting farm (animals all seemed happy and very well cared for with lots if space), kiddie train ride, wagon ride to a pumpkin patch, beautiful walking paths, lots of yummy snacks. The paying process was very confusing and crowded but all in all a great fall outing.

The Apple Works is a hidden gem in central Indiana. During the peak fall season, Apple Works is a bustling establishment. The parking situation is often confusing and overcrowded, so you have to be patient. However, once you get parked and head up to the main building, you will be overwhelmed with the sights and smells Apple Works has to offer. The honey crisp apples are amazing, but if you come later in the season and they no longer have them, try the Gala. The store also features baked goods, including apple dumplings and pies. The pecan pie we purchased was very good. The store also features homemade jams and jellies alongside other canned goods. They also feature amish cheeses, meats, and apple cider in the fridge section. Highly recommend Apple Works both in season and out of season. They still have many great items for sale after the fall rush.

This facility is just wonderful. Between the amazing apple products, and the impressive pumpkin patch, we had a fun-filled afternoon. The facility is full of families and giddy children, so be prepared for that vibe. I particularly enjoyed the amount of pumpkins to consider and the varieties.
