Marci's bakery is our absolute favorite. We love their lunch options which include build your own salad, or panini, and even made to order pizzas that are ready in 10 minutes. The San Francisco panini is the best on the menu. At the other end of the bakery are the sweets which are always so tempting after lunch. The cookies are the best. I highly recommend this downtown south bend restaurant. The employees are super nice and attentive and always very quick.

This is a great place to get authentic Italian sandwiches, chocolates, pasta, and wine. Their food is always hot, tasty, and made to order. Be warned though - this means it does take longer. The workers aren't breaking their necks with pace to make your food, but...it is SO good! My wife and I usually build in time to go here before every ND home game to fill up on some great food before a day of shenanigans. Since my wife is Italian, she likes going here to get imported Italian goods: wine, chilled/frozen pasta, chocolates, and other pantry items. Based on her reviews, the food = awesome and the desserts could use some help. Oh yea, and did I mention that this place is very reasonably priced?! You can't lose here.

Just ordered two of their wonderful cakes. The gal who answered the phone was very patient and took the effort to look for possible decorations to place on one of the cakes. Described cakes in details. Can't wait to eat'em.

I love Macri's. I've been going there since I was little. I'm a huge Italian food lover and I like going there to indulge my sweet tooth on Italian sweets. They have cannoli's, and a lot of imported Italian products that you probably won't find anywhere else in the area. They have a nice deli too. There pasta salads are good. Some might be wary of trying their pickled seafood. But it's goooooood!!! If you like muscles, squid, octopus, or that sorta stuff then you'll like it for a snack. Nice quality of products is all I can say.

It wouldn't be a special occasion for us without a cake from Macri's - especially their white cake with lemon filling and whip cream frosting. We decided to use Macri's for our wedding, but instead of doing a traditional wedding cake, we opted for our favorite - just a plain, simple 10" round cake that our floral designer would decorate with flowers (the flowers and design were more than the actual cake!). Macri's did exactly what we wanted and the cake looked beautiful.

Macri's Bakery is delicious and has so many great dessert choices to choose from! I always get one of the little mint chocolate cakes. It is a rolled chocolate cake with mint frosting inside of it! YUM! You really can't go wrong here whether you are looking for a decadent dessert or something simple like cookies! Must try it!

Excellent cakes... kinda spendy, but oh so delicious. Get the Italian cake. It is awesome.

The all time best thing to do at Macri's Deli is to buy a three foot submarine sandwich and 4 pitcher's of Killian's Irish Red. If you have friends, they will be happy and if you don't have friends, you soon will.

Carmelas is the best Italian restaurant in town. From the arancini appetizer (homemade deep fried rice balls with cheese and Italian ham served with a marinara sauce) to the chicken Marsala, the food is very good. After dinner, head out to the attached Macri's bakery for great dessert. This is our go to place for a great dinner. The service is well paced and it reminds me of a bistro in Italy.

Best ingredients, bad bread. The owner is a good guy, I wish they understand that is they are going to serve such good ingredients they should also get the best bread. Anyway, he is getting old, perhaps he should get some expert to help improve the menu. Best wishes!

This is one of the best deli's I have been to in my entire life. Whenever I am in South Bend or out that direction this is one of those places I force my friends to take me. Wonderful Italian deli treats and the sandwiches are to die for. I also love they don't force feed you french fries. you get pretzels which are nice for a change. One of South Bend's BEST!

My favorite lunch spot- the sandwiches from this deli are amazing. Try the grilled tomato sandwich- their mozzerella is as fresh as it gets and they pick the fresh basil from a plant growing in the prep area! YUM! Their salads and soups are also delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful- it's like having your Italian grandma make you lunch every day :).

From start to finish, Marci's worked with us to make sure our wedding cake was perfect last October! We were out of town planning a wedding, they worked with us to set up a time to meet when we would be in town. They walked us through many different budget options, always making sure we were comfortable with what we were getting. Although the example cakes in their consultation room need a bit of updating, she looked through any pictures we brought to create the cake we always dreamed of. The tasting samples were amazing, it was difficult picking just two! On the day of, I knew we didn't need to worry as she had worked with the Century Center many times. The cake was there, perfect and delicious!

Just spent $13 on a small container of Frutti de Mar with over 75% IMITATION crab. Wtf. Spoke to the owner and was given a "sorry" and nothing else. Two stars since the person who helped me was nice.. but never did drain the oil from the container as I initially requested.

When we went into this place (went with 3 people.) This place shocked me! This place is a two in one. Shop then eat. Or switch it. Eat then shop! But then I got confused. "Why are there 2 restaurants in here? What is the difference?" But I had bacon, sausage, and bacon pizza. The food took 20 minutes because of the meats. They have all kinds of meats! And pizza toppings. Well I got it. I took a bite. "Mmm... This pizzas good." Well it's like that catchphrase. "It's all good in the neighborhood." Its 2X2=4 stars "if I need meat. And lunch. I'll go here!"
