Best burgers in town. Nacho burger is awesome. Specials are always good, especially the Polish dinner or the fish all you can eat. The people here are friendly and inviting.

I'm a SB native who never ate at this place when I lived in the mid-west. I came home for Thanksgiving and after reading the reviews and hearing from my family and friends, I was pumped to FINALLY try Bob's 19th. What a disappointment...First of all, why are the waitstaff such assholes? Is it considered good service to limit your customer interaction to 5 words? When I asked my party what the deal was they both said "oh, it's just how they are here, don't get offended." Noted. My food was bland, I had a burger and it was something I could have made in my own kitchen. My husbands food was bad. He got a different burger that came out cold, super small and the cheese wasn't melted at all. Overall - Nope. Won't be coming back here.

I never have a bad experience when I go here. One of the best local restaurants on the west side. The owner is always seen walking around and conversing with the regulars who come in. The servers are attentive and down to earth. The food is nothing necessarily unique, but it's consistent and satisfying. Overall a welcoming atmosphere! Try the twice baked potato!

This place is a small town bar/grill just outside south bend. I've been there a couple times now and feel that it is a mediocre spot for eats and drinks. Decently priced drink specials and an extensive menu. Salads looked huge and they should be for 10.00. Most of the items seem a little overpriced. Burgers are 10.99 and fairly small. Everything i've had has been par or better but i've seen some disasters at my table as well. (I.e. sesame salmon?) Service is ok but they can be very passive with their attention. I will prob go back but not by my choice.

The special was a Philly cheese steak. I ordered that with no onions. Sorry sir but there are no "substitutions" on the specials. Huh? That is not a substitution. So I ordered a cheese burger instead. Asked for medium. It was way over cooked. The beer was warm. Probably not going back,

I went there for lunch with my uncle on 8/6/11, and he said that they have good burgers. I had the patty melt, twice baked potato, and applesauce. The twice baked was really good, served in a cup, but had good flavor. The applesauce had real apple chunks and cinnamon flavour, and I liked it. (But i'm a big fan of cinnamon). I'd go back again. It's about the only restaurant half way between south bend and new carlisle.

Food was excellent and service was speedy. Went with a party of 5. We ordered nachos as an appetizer, and they arrived about five minutes later. Despite every ordered something different, our food all arrived together about 8 mins after putting our orders in. I had the French Dip sandwich, which is colossal and delicious. My side was vegetables. My girlfriend had the Ultimate Burger (I think that was the name). It came with the most bacon I've seen come on a burger, without asking for extra bacon, and the patty was seasoned perefectly. Only the fries left something to be desired. They were overcooked, and in comparison to all the fresh tasting entrees, I think they should go for skin on or homemade fries.

I have been trying really hard to limit the number of 5-star reviews since I feel I have been way to liberal with them.... but then I went to Bob's. The service here is really good and quick. Even though it seems to always be packed at lunch time your in and out in no time. The food is amazing as well. The menu has that nice home cooking flare. The first time there I got the Ham and Bean soup and it was as good if not better than my moms (don't let her know!!) The second time around I got the sausage Philly on special... again amazing. Honestly, the best part of this restaurant is the side choices... it's just like I'm a kid again! Cottage cheese, applesauce, cole slaw.... Not to mention the potato choices; fries, twice baked... and POTATO PANCAKES!! I love potato pancakes and they seem quite hard to find at restaurants, so I took advantage and was not let down!

These are probably the best burgers in the area. Everything about them is perfect. Not too big or greasy, perfectly cooked, on quality, tasty buns. The potato sides are also excellent... twice bakes potatoes, or potato pancakes? Very nice. Everything on the menu is really good, except maybe the giant taco salad bowls designed for human livestock.

Wow. The worst experience I've had in a long time. Walking in the door the floor mat was rolled up with no warning right in front of the door and I tripped on it. After that the waitress was rude the entire meal to my father and myself. She told us we needed to hurry because there was ONLY an hour before closing and she never said you're welcome even after many thank yous. No water refills. The food was fish and it was dry and it seemed nothing was cooked appropriately. For the waitress alone I would avoid this place. Red hair older lady.

The food is reliably good and somewhat basic. Not gourmet but basic Midwestern. Tried the polish plate once and it was OK. Would not recommend the twice baked potato unless your arteries are too free flowing. Some of the excellent waitresses have been there 20+yrs.

Place was very packed!!! We had Great service & great food here. I ordered the Chef salad it was great and huge!!! Very filling don't underestimate the Chef salad here :-) the prices were kind of pricey BUT it's not bad for the amount and quality of food you get, the prices are very fair!!
