Typical western theme and menu. There is nothing spectacular about this place, but I will say I was surprised my steak came out as requested (med-rare) as most restaurants of this caliber tend to overcook the food. Rest of the meal was acceptable. Our server was also great.

This is a steak house. The decor is southwest, which is fine, I love the southwest. But now I remember why we stopped coming here. The food just isn't that good. I ordered sauted mushrooms as a side. They were not sauted. The arrived in a bowl, and whatever they were sitting in was so salty I could not eat them. It was probably brine from the can they came in. The waitress took a few dollars off the bill. I didn't ask her to, it was her idea. The steak was bland, the baked potato was ok. The Texas toast was soft. Our waitress was delightful though. We have no complaints about her.

Good service and the salsa is really good steak not to bad ether. Good for something different than what you have day to day.

Stopped by after visiting the Maple Festival Medora, IN. Not what I was expecting!!! My wife had the cheeseburger which was served without cheese and was unseasoned...it was just plain bland! I had the Jr. Burrito which came with rice and re-fried beans. The beans were uneatable as they were dry to the point a fork could not be inserted into them. The manager in charge never visited the table so we left. Had we had more info about Seymour we would not have stopped here, but rather a place with a better food and reputation. Never visit again!

I almost feel bad writing this, like kicking a man while he's down. Maybe I should just think of it as shooting a sick horse... Never before have I wanted to physically harm a line cook. My wife, two kids and I stopped in later on a weekday evening. We were the only table there. Perhaps that should have been our cue, but we were hungry, and it was late. The waitress was sweet and helpful. But when we ordered guacamole, she brought out a bowl of brown. When I pointed it out she said bashfully "Yeah...I saw that." Then why did you bring it out, I thought. She took it back, and had them make new. It was OK, and actually had chunks of avo. When my twice baked potato came out, the cheese that melted off the side was rock hard. It had been sitting in a broiler or under a heat lamp for quite a while. My wife had a brisket sandwich. The meat tasted good, but was like jerky. It too had been hanging out in a broiler all day. Plus, the bread was ICE cold in the middle. Lastly, we ordered a margarita (25oz) and split it. It tasted good, but was pretty watery, AND filled with ice. At least do one or the other! Nevertheless, we were hungry, so we ate most of the food, paid in full, and tipped well....just so we could tell the manager how terrible our experience was, and she'd know we meant it. I could tell she was as horrified as me, and was upset I had already signed my bill. She offered to make it up to me, and I told her she could make it up by immediately firing the cook. Overall, we spent about $60 (including tip, two adults, and a toddler) for some of the worst cooking I'd ever had. I should have picked any other chain. Live and learn.

So, after I was seated and checked in on Yelp, I earned the Mavrick badge for being here. Awesome you say? No. This means they have not-so-nice reviews, and I took pride in not having that badge yet. Have they seen me yet? Crud, here comes the server. Oh well, chalk this one up to not reading the reviews first.. Perhaps the management took notice of the reviews and made changes, because, honestly, I had a very good experience. I wasn't a fan of the item I ordered, but I rushed looking at the menu and wasn't that jazzed about the description anyway. Here's the short and sweet: Hostess: friendly. Seated immediately Server: Very nice. Attentive. Kept drinks filled without being around all the time. Food: Came out fast and hot. I didn't care for what I had, but my dining companion liked their food quite a bit. A solid three-star review in my opinion.

Tasteless food. I paid $10 for a wrap that was the size of a small taco. No dressing or veggies were added. Only meat, cheese, and avocado slices. The chicken was so heavily seasoned with black pepper it was inedible. My husbands burger was big, but flavorless and bone dry. From the kitchen all we heard were cat calls passed between employees and loud laughter. When we tried to leave several employees, and their friends, were blocking the exit and did not make any move to let us pass. We had to push our way through even after asking to pass. We felt like we were at a singles bar hangout instead of a upper price restaurant. Where is Ramsey when you need him?

I went here last night with my boyfriend's family. Although the experience started out decently well (the host was nice and we were seated quickly), unfortunately things turned sour pretty quickly. The waiter that came to our table asked what drinks we wanted and took over 5 minutes to bring them back. At this point he apologized, complaining that "they gave me a bunch of tables at once." I don't care how many tables they gave you. If you took too long, apologize and move on. Don't complain, especially that close to the host stand. Next time you won't get any tables. Once he took our orders and walked off, we sat waiting for an incredibly long time. The waiter did not stop by to check our drinks, that is until my boyfriend asked him if we could have some chips and salsa (this should have been complimentary and been given to us quickly). About 30 minutes after we ordered, we finally got our appetizers. The people I was with warned me that the service was going to be slow here, but I had no idea just how slow. It was ridiculous. Our food took another 20 minutes to come out. My boyfriend got the beef tacos, no tomato or onion. The waiter didn't notice they had tomato and onion until he was setting it in front of us. He took it back and got fresh tacos, but considering it took him less than 5 minutes to get the new tacos, it seems a bit ridiculous that it took so long to get all of our food ready. The only think really keeping this place from getting one star would be the food. It's not bad. Not great, but not bad. For some reason, they put parmesan on their tacos and their queso was clearly made with yellow cheese. The meat was flavorful though, and their potato skins were tasty. The last thing I'd like to mention is the noise level. This is definitely a family-friendly restaurant. All the tables around us had loud kids and multiple times the conversation at our table was interrupted by crying and piercing screams. End result: Won't go back if I have a choice. Service and loud atmosphere ruined the experience.

First time I ate here I would've given this place a 5 stars without hesitation. I hesitate to give it 3 now. Service and the waiters I received is great yes but I've noticed such a decline within the few times I've been there. I've noticed a few of the waiters a bit rude to other customers. Food is ok, taste changed a lot though.

It pains me to say that the spot I once thought was Seymour Indiana's best place to dine has declined so much. They switched their food provider in the last year or so and the service staff is now lacking. The drink prices have went up over to be some of the most expensive drinks in town. They fired their number one server for some reason and the remaining staff needs a hospitality lesson. Bottom Line: If you are wanting a bite in Seymour or a place to grab some drinks after work, you might want to drive down to the local chili's. The cheese dip is still good and the salsa is still decent, but not worth putting up with the declining service.

My family and I came here and loved it! They have great chips and salsa for an appetizer, the meals we ordered were very good, and the service was great. They have the place decked out western style, which we all liked and the place is very clean. It's a little bit of a drive for us, but we will be back again!
