Tucked away in a large strip mall off of Tipton Street in Seymour, this place cuts an unassuming profile from the view of the road But once inside, you'll find an elegantly layout with soft lighting and colorful yet tasteful decor. Once I was seated, I was immediately impressed with how clean everything was. I know that's something that most restaurants would aspire to be at all times, but everything--the table, the seats, the floor--was spotless. And when I'm eating sushi, that feeds right into my experience. I ordered California roll with five pieces of nigiri and some octopus sashimi on the side. The sushi fish was remarkably fresh. I think most people that enjoy sushi would agree that that's the most crucial detail, and yet many places, whether near the coasts or not, fall short. Not this place. The fish was beautifully cut and gorgeous, The octopus had that perfect firm yet yielding texture that I love (not tough or rubbery--important) and the rice tasted great as well. Also a plus, the nigiri pieces held together much better than some other nigiri I've had. The California roll was a little spicier that I'm used to, but that was fine because I love wasabi. One of the pieces caused me to take about a 15-second pause as the wasabi tore through my sinuses. It was great. If I don't experience at least a little of that when I eat sushi, then I'm not fulfilled. Prices are very fair. The music was appropriate but a little too loud for my taste. My only main gripe is that they didn't have any sake available. They offered Kirin Ichiban and Sapporo beers, the latter of which I ordered, but I also always get a carafe of hot sake when I do sushi. Hopefully that's something they will take care of fairly soon, since I've never been to any Japanese restaurant that doesn't offer at least one basic sake option, and I almost always order some. And hot towels. I really like when the server brings out the steaming hot towels to wipe one's hands with just after being seated. That's a detail that I became accustomed to at my beloved New Japan restaurant in nearby Columbus, now sadly closed due to the owners' retirement. But the food is spot-on. I'm not sure how long they've been open. I feel not all that long since I just heard about them, and everything looked very new inside, but the food is dynamite. With a few more details worked out, they will likely win my vote for the best sushi experience currently in the area.

Whenever I am in the area I always stop by and get amazing sushi. It's gotten to the point the staff knows me when I walk in the door. Food is always fresh and hot. Friendly staff with great service. Try it!

We were traveling through the area and based on the yelp reviews took a chance on this restaurant. We weren't sure about a sushi place in a strip mall, but were pleasantly surprised. Staff are very friendly. Food was very good. I had the shrimp teriyaki bento. My husband the steak teriyaki bento and our daughter the Alaska roll. Thanks yelp.

Very nice environment. Great food for a small town. Prices aren't bad at all. We eat here at least a couple times a month! Hibachi Filet Dinner is a fave in my family, delicious & very filling!

Place was clean and neat. Waitress spoke little english, but we made it through. Rolls were inexpensive. Not a ton of flavor but good. Filet mignon hibachi meal was great. I would try it again and try the specialty rolls.

If you are ever starving, and everything else is closed, and the no insects to forage for food, or road kill to chew on, still do not eat here. Their rice taste like burnt plastic. The hibachi chicken tastes like neither hibachi nor chicken. Hands down the most unpleasant dining experience I've ever had.

Went to dinner here tonight and it was the best dinner in a long time. I had the filet mignon with shrimp and it was perfect. Jeff had the vegetable dinner and he said it was good. I let the chef know how good it was also. I was in the mood for steak and they came through.

Sushi was safe, but a bit unattractive and bland. Something was odd with the wasabi, it's dryness made it very hard to spread. The spicy salmon roll was full of fried bits, definitely off-putting to my taste. I ate it anyway because I was hungry. Not much joy here. I'll pass on this one next time,

Great food. Much cheaper than Kabutos in Greenwood... and it is right next door! Restaurant is very clean, tasteful, new, and modern inside. Service is attentive and friendly. Food came fast. Can't say enough good things about the place. We will be back. You should try it. Suggest the Tokyo roll... It is a work of art and good as well!
