Saturday afternoon at Brewskies on November 1. I'm sure that 11 folks at 3 PM were the most people they had as customers all month. We stopped here after a wonderful fall hike at Stave Hollow and it was an experience, to say the least. I know we overwhelmed the staff but they did a really good job of trying to accommodate us. The menu is the basic bar food, although all the burgers and waffle fries were really quite good (and inexpensive considering). The big drawback was the smell of smoking (allowed) and urine. Definitely need to clean this place up and get rid of the smoking. Maybe, if I were staying at the Econolodge I'd eat outside next time in warm weather.

Don't let the stench of stale beer and the crush of smoke deter you from venturing to Brewskies. This little dive gets the job done, especially if you're passing through Seymour for a night. Great prices on the menu and a wide variety of selections and favorable drink specials. The food absolutely did not disappoint. The wings are PHENOMENAL and at .45 cents a spectacular deal. Ordered the bbq and garlic butter flavors; most surprised by the size and fullness of the meat. Definitely left impressed and with a full stomach!

When I opened the door my first thought was 'NOPE!!.' We ventured to the bar anyway because if you are in this town you already know there are very few options and even less after 9. The only beer options are domestics and while the menu looked ok the intense cigarette stank and all around sh@tty vibe caused us to flee.

From just opening the door, Eww! Be prepared to smell of smoke. I ordered a 3 piece chicken tenders, got 2. They were ok. I've also never been able to count the number of fries in a basket but here, there were 7 fries. 2 tenders, 7 fries, $7. I like dive bars, but this was too deep.

Brewskies is the essence of hanging out! Great bar for people in the real world. The food is excellent home cooked specials and the bar selections it flawless. The atmosphere of Brewskies is unforgettable. It's that rare mix of relaxing with friends and party bar. It has that race ability to be a cool spot to chill out one minute and then ramp up into the crazy party bar the next. You can smoke so you non-smoking pushers can take it to the curb. Bottom Line: If you like cold drinks and good times than this is your place. Steak night is absolutely worth your time, the food is superb for a pallet partial to home cooking and greasy spoons. If you are a pompous non-smoking buzz kill then go to Applebee's.

Quick Grub and Beer -- that's about it. A local "right off the highway" place that serves up a cold cold beer and good food. Not much to say about the ambiance, it's a bar. The service is Stellar and honestly the best part of the place. Don't let the motorcycles out front scare you off....like I said they are hometown folks that will say "hey" and leave you alone. For those non-smokers....you probably won't like it inside. I don't smoke and you will leave feeling like you did anyway. I didn't lift a cue stick but the pool tables looked nicer than some of the booth seats... I'd stop again for a cold one and some food.
