One of my favorite places to get some work done or catch up on some reading. Their baristas are friendly and quick to get my order completed; however, their drive-thru is a mess. Don't park close to the front door or you will get blocked in.

I love this Starbucks location. I've been to just about every location in NWI and this one is my favorite. Everyone is always super friendly and nice. the coffee is always at Starbucks standards. I enjoy the free wifi. What else could I ask for? The decor and seating is plentiful and comfortable. I only give them 4 stars though due to parking. Sometimes it can be a bit of a nightmare but all in all..... I LOVE IT HERE!!

I don't know what it is about this Starbucks, but it consistently misses the mark with me. Don't get me wrong. It's a Starbucks. I know that. I am not expecting the pantheon of coffee goodness. However, I would like to be able to get in and out of Starbucks with as minimal fuss as possible. Somehow that never seems to happen here. Perhaps it is due to the excessively busy drive-thru (I am a cafe only kind of girl) sucking up all the barista resources? In any case, the less than rapid service wouldn't be so aggravating if they rocked out the tasty beverages. Unfortunately, my latte always seems to be somewhere around the 3/4 full mark (I'm also a no whip kind of girl). As a former barista, I know the standards of how full a drink should be; so the attitude I receive on the rare occasion when I ask for my latte to be topped off is truly not necessary. Other than that, it is a Starbucks: recently remodeled to look like every other Starbucks I have ever visited, playing all the same music, selling all the same wares, etc. One rather pulse-raising difference? The parking lot. Do not park anywhere near the actual Starbucks storefront or the conga-line of drive-thru cars will trap you in your spot for much longer than the confines of sanity permits. Also? The mere act of walking from your car to the door takes an act of courage that exceeds the limits of most suburban dwelling folks. Ah, the Schererville 'bux...if the coffee can't make your pulse race, the parking lot can...

Not a fan of this location. Poor service, ok cleanliness and ok speed.

Omg....do they even know what customer service means. Felt like an after thought ordering coffee....I guess the conversation they were having was more important than a simple thank you

This place has turned around. Great job to the management and staff. I will definitely be coming here more often.

It's Starbucks. They have a drive through. Nothing special. Pretty standard.

This is a pretty typical Starbucks. On the plus side, it's not a bad place to study and there's lots of seating (usually). The baristas are very nice, and want the customer to be happy with their food/drinks. However, I will say that, like most Starbucks, drink quality can vary from barista to barista depending on their skill.

People are friendly but the service is pretty slow for a Starbucks.

I would have to agree with your comment. They did, however do two things I think you will be pleasantly surprised with! 1-The WiFi is now free, and 2-they renovated the drive-thru. It looks great! Although not my favorite Starbucks (Estes Park, CO has the best!) I have to give a modest 3 stars.

Okay, so it's a Starbucks. In terms of serving coffee (either in-store or via drive-thru), I'm sure it's average. In terms of being in touch with the 21st Century, however, this place fails big time. I recently wound up here because I was in town for a funeral and needed to find a place with WiFi. I'm not a regular at any Starbucks, to say the least, and most coffee shops I go to in large cities or small college towns have free WiFi, so I presumed a place as ubiquitous as Starbucks would also have free WiFi. When I entered, I saw several people there on laptops, so it seemed pretty likely. Of course, after purchasing a beverage and realizing that I couldn't simply get online via their network, I asked the barista what I needed to do to access the Internet. Blank stare followed by, "Oh, I don't even know how to use the Internet." She eventually me that I have to pay to do it. I ask how much. Blank stare. She yells over to a co-worker (or manager, I don't know) and asks, "Hey, how much does it cost to get on the Internet and how do they do it?" He responds, "Ooh, girl, I'm still stuck in the '70s, I don't have any clue about that!" After a few minutes of every worker there scrambling to tell me how they think it works, I shake my head and say, "Jesus, Northwest Indiana, you're effing killing me!" The "stuck in the '70s" guy says, "Girl, tell me about it! I wish someone would bomb the whole place. Seriously, I'd light the fuse!" Okay, had I not been so frustrated, I probably would have laughed at that. In fact, I've laughed about that several times since. Anyhow, I head back to the table to figure it out on my own and am able to suss out it's either $2.99 or $3.99 for two hours of service. Kind of a rip-off if you're only going to quickly check your e-mail. The piece de resistance? In order to pay for the service, you have to enter your credit card number over their unsecured network. As a recent victim of credit-related identity theft, I was in no way willing to do that. Therefore, I set out in the hopes that I could find anyplace nearby with free WiFi and, luckily, hit the jackpot with the Panera up the road, which of course, raises the question: "Why is anyone paying Starbucks to use the Internet when a block or two away Panera will let you do it for free?" So, hey, all you numbskulls paying Starbucks to use the Internet: You can do it for free at Panera!

Starbucks is Starbucks. The coffee is mediocre, but sometimes it's nice to go to one knowing exactly what you'll be getting everyt ime. And to be able to order a decaf non fat latte with soy without any snarkiness of "we don't do that here." NWI was devoid of one (or any real coffee shop for that matter) for a long time so when one finally opened while I was in college it was like ahhhhh! The coffee and service is fine. The set up inside is a bit weird. There's a drive thru-which I had actually never seen before this one, and there's a small area to sit outside! Was very excited to see this newer section. However, there were a lot of smokers outside which made me decide to sit inside.

As a regular of Starbucks, this one particularly is poor qualiy. First, on 10/6/13, some of the workers appeared to try very hard not to work. An example, my order was incorrect, and trying to get the attention of at least 2 workers was a big deal. One purposely seemed to hide behind a barista and get swallowed up in the sound of the steam machinery when I told her that they were out of napkins, and I'd like one. Second, the condiment area was dirty-spilled milk, garbage, napkin dispenser empy- a mess! Third, when I finally got the attention of the staff, and kept stating, excuse me, after three or so attempts, she reluctantly lent an ear, gave the napkins, and made it clear that I was a bother; no words from her. Lastly, appears all SB are not giving receipts- hate it! Very disappointing- THIS ONE ALWAYS GETS MY ORDER WRONG!

The coffee is what you expect, Starbucks. As a coffee snob, it is what it is, but the staff are the best. Awesome people, friendly, fast and super helpful.
