Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Went in thinking this would be one of those great little places that I've been missing out on. The reviews looked good, we pulled up and the building was clean, walked in and got our Large Sausage Pizza to go.I was excited to have a great slice of pie, bursting with flavor. Was it as amazing as I was hoping??? Unfortunately, not so much... Crust was just ok, heavy on the flour is an understatement. Sauce was nothing special at all, thick, too much of it and lacking in flavor. To me it just seemed like tomato paste, nothing else too it. Sausage topping did nothing to add to the flavor at all. I guess after 5 years even a set of solid 4 star reviews goes stale... kinda like their pizza here. Alas, at least we know we didn't like it I suppose...

I used to work out at Gators and then it turned into Fuel Fitness. After my work out I would walk down the stairs and I would be hit with the most amazing pizza smell! It was almost a feat to get out the door. One day my husband and I couldn't take it and we ordered!! We were hungry and when you are hungry, food should taste better! Man we were so disappointed!! The sauce was pretty blah but the crust was terrible, lacking flavor!! The cheese was okay and honestly I pulled the cheese off and ate that! I most likely will not give it another try, sadly. I hate giving pizza joints low stars because I'm a fan of pie. I have heard a lot of people say this pizza was kinda crummy and expensive so I'm going to skip giving it a second chance.

Great pizza! Delivery is usually pretty quick. On Sundays, they don't open til later which is pretty stupid during football season. Their pepperoni is really greasy- I won't order that again. I usually order a sausage and green pepper pizza which is really good. Friendly service also.

tried this pizza while attending a catered event. all kinds of pizza was there, and I'm not one for pizza much, but I ate 4 slices back to back. really good pizza, cheese and sauce perfect. you can even buy it by the slice.

Northwest Indiana has a pizza joint that I love to order from because the pizza there is spectacular and I can't get enough of it. I'm talking about their Sun Dried Tomato Pesto Pizza; mozzarella, garlic, sun dried tomatoes, pesto, and with or without bleu cheese. Wow! Now I've lived in San Diego where pizza specialties such as bbq chicken pizza, pesto pizzas, etc are great and I loved those back there. Here we have your traditional Chicago style pizzas which are out of this world. With Sicillian Joes I get both. The only drawback is it's a bit pricey, but worth it.

I wish this place was by my house. I had a slice of sausage and it was awsome. The flavor and the crust with the spicy sauce. I couldn't get enough. The place was a little dinky. But I ain't here for the atmosphere. They have a large menu. But I'm hooked on the za.

My husband and I love Sicilian Joes for carry-out pizza. The inside and ambience is nothing to write home about (which is why we always carry out) - but the pizza is great! They always get our order right - my husband and I like different toppings, so it's usually "1/2 with this, this and this ..... and the other half with this and this." I hate when you get home and discover that it's not what you've ordered. But at Joes - they get it right every time! They have daily specials and the kids that work the counter are friendly. Great pizza at a fair price!

After 3 months in my new house and kitchen, I finally caved in and ordered pizza on a busy Friday, from Sicilian Joes (it took 5 months to finally break down, under utilize my kitchen, and make a frozen pizza). I was pleased... great place, yummy pizza that doesn't make you down a gallon of water afterwards, excellent crust, and family-run service.
