Excellent food, excellent service, small family casual setting. You enter through the bar side to get to the restaurant (not sure if this is permanent). Wait staff very friendly. Full bar and full food menu. Shrimp look awesome. And all you can eat snow crabs for $34.95 including salad or soup and potatoes bread and relish tray. I highly recommend this place.

No better place for all you can eat lake perch, frog legs and bluegill in the area. While the room is dark, the flavor and quantity of the food more than compensates. I have never seen heartier frog legs anywhere, and the fish is beyond compare. What keeps me coming back here? The food is sizzling hot when brought to your table. Servers are attentive and pleasant by and large, and I'm yet to leave hungry!

The food here is good and it's consistent. I usually get the perch and it is very tasty. Keep in mind if you get the AYCE perch not to fill up on all the extras!! I don't know about the crab because I'm allergic to shellfish but hear good things. The bar area is pretty fun, people are friendly and the staff is great. The bartender is a sweetheart and makes one heck of a Long Island. The bar is no smoking now which is a bonus because it is a small place.

Went yesterday for the all you can eat crab legs, and it was great. This place is outta the way for where I live, but worth the trip.

Go for crab night Tues/Wed/Thur Yummy! Beware though they will try to fill you up with 100 appetizers before they bring the real deal out (hey it's a business). Nothing fancy, but the crab legs were mmm mmm good!

S'ville Lounge is a typical NWI Restaurant. They have everything from wings to perch to burgers. Eat in the raised bar booths if you don't mind being in smoking or the dull dining room if you do. The bread basket has this delicious crispy garlic bread. It is probably loaded with fat and calories but is so good. The steaks are okay and while I'm not a fish eater, everyone I go here with seems to like their choice. You get coleslaw, beets and cottage cheese as well as soup or salad with entrees. The salad is nothing special but the garlic dressing is pretty good. The wine selection is pretty mundane but at $4 a glass, you don't expect much. There are always a few specials and they were unfortunately out of the ribs last time we dined at the Lounge. I like the Schererville Lounge and find it comparable to the Town Club in Highland.

Have always loved this place. Go on Friday night for the 2lb crab legs. Fried scallops, fried chicken, and ribs are all excellent choices as well. Be prepared for a gluttony of courses before the meal is served: relish tray, homemade bread served with honey butter, soup/salad, homemade garlic toast and crackers. It's easy to fill up before the main attraction! The bar area is a bit smokey and parking is limited, but it seems to clear out pretty well after 8:30 or so on a weekend night. Overall, not classy or trendy, but good food and nice staff; well worth the trip.

Excellent service, good food. We had the ACYE lake perch for $19.95. It was good quality, not exceptionally prepared but good. Should have had the crab legs, they looked great. Guess we'll try there again.

I've got to update this review. I hesitated because I LOVE the idea of the small business and the thought of having a local "supper club/tavern" with good food really would make me happy. Last night my family and I visited at about 6:00 pm. When we entered, there were about 6 people sitting at the bar, a few in booths and no one on the dining room side. It prompted us to even wonder if the dining room was open. Ghost town. Regardless, we sat down. We were quickly greeted by a waitress who asked us what we wanted to drink. My wife responds by saying "I think we are all good with just water." The waitress responds (in a very short manner) "Should I get you 4 straws?" Puzzled by this question and tone, my daughter 18 year old asks "what?" Waitress responds..."Nobody is talking to me, so I presume you just want one water and four straws." (We were reading the menu and my wife had already spoken for the table) My 13 year old then felt compelled to order a diet coke because she said that the waitress made her feel bad for ordering a water. Strange exchange that was so odd that minutes later she returned to explain why she was so awkward, never apologized, she just wanted to state her position...awkward. My daughter actually asked why we did not just stand up and leave. Then it comes time to order our food. Same waitress returns. She comes to me. I ask what soups they have. She turns to the board, says that tonight they only have the wild rice with chicken which is a heavy cream base soup. Great. But since they normally ALSO have French Onion soup that is NOT listed on the special board, I said "So...does that mean you do not have French Onion?" She responds in a CRAZY rude tone..."I said one soup. That means we (starts chuckling under her breath) only have one soup." Why I didn't walk out then is beyond me. I guess it is because I know that the owner of the restaurant is trying to run a small business and I want to contribute to local places. But I assure you my family was on the edge of their seats ready to hit the door. The food arrived and it was just as it was described in my previous review. Average. Almost blah. We were reminded that if you were going for all you can eat crab or fish fry, this would be the place...otherwise be prepared to be underwhelmed. Sure you get a relish tray, love the beets and cole slaw. But come on... As we got in the car, my family...almost in unison said "Crazy". We agreed that would be our last Schererville Lounge experience. By the time we left, one other table of 6 arrived. They were celebrating a birthday. Outside of that, empty. Could the rude wait staff or the blah food be the reason? Perhaps.

Solid throwback place where everybody seems to know everybody. Great specials from ayce fish (blue goll, crab legs, etc), NY Strip, Prime Rib, and many more. I got the prime rib with frog legs and loved it. Nothing beats some chicken of the swamp paired with a great beef. The server was attentive and nice. The soup was really good, too. My only complaint was that the calamari was literally probably out of a frozen rings and the veggie side was too. If this stuff was fresh, it'd have been a better experience overall. Nonetheless, a solid place that certainly gives you your money's worth.

Great lake perch and shrimp. Thats all I ever get and it meets my lofty expectations every time

First I have to say that I would like to give this restaurant a better rating because the food is great, but the smoke gets me every time we eat there!! The meals are big portions and all include a bread basket, loaf of fresh baked bread, beets, coleslaw & cottage cheese as well as soup or salad. We often split the 2# crab legs and order an extra potato & salad and both leave completely satisfied. I've ordered other fish entrees and enjoyed them as well. Our friends had chicken and steak last night and liked them too. So, I'd say they have something on the menu for everyone! The atmosphere is nothing special. But, it's always clean and the staff is usually friendly & attentive. I only wish Indiana would get up to speed with the times and ban smoking all together! But, the least this establishment could do is install a sealed door from the smoky bar to the "smoke free" or rather "second hand smoke induced" dining room. We ate there last night and I've had to wash all of our clothes including our coats to get rid of the stench! If you can bear the smoke, the food is good.
