Food was edible, but barely. Window says "brick oven" pizza. I assure you it is not. When we went in, there were a couple pizzas out that looked like they had been there for quite some time, and tasted that way too. Chicken was decent, as was the salad. It was good enough considering the alternatives in town, but we will not be repeat customers. One plus was that they were willing to make us fresh pizzas if we told them what we want, fresh pizzas were hot but still not tasty.

If you are desperate for pizza this technically qualifies but that's it. The crust is like cardboard, the sauce is pure bland tomato paste although the toppings are passable. Forget this place. If you have an oven, go next door to Holiday Foods and get a frozen pizza. If you don't have an oven, go anywhere else. By the way, we asked for hand tossed because others recommended it for a better pizza. Brick Oven had no idea what we were talking about. Nothing "In the Know" here.

Stumbled across this place while down at Holiday World for a few days. It doesn't look like much on the inside and the first thing we noticed was a mediocre looking buffet. Since we needed some food to go, we ordered one of their specialty pizzas with barbecue sauce, grilled chicken, onions and green peppers. We asked for half without the peppers and onions and I thought it was pretty good. The sauce was sweet which is perfect for me and everyone liked it. The surprise for me came the next day when we picked up some ice cream on the way out of town. They had a decent selection and single scoops (which were very big) were unexpectedly cheap and really good. If you are leaving Holiday World and want a dessert for the ride home, head to this place where you can get three servings of ice cream for the price of one at Holiday World. The staff was also very nice as they helped carry ice cream to the car (as I was grabbing it for 6 of us in all). An added bonus is that they are next door to the best Christmas decoration store I've ever seen. It's a great place to check out while waiting on the pizza.

The most important thing to know is this is absolutely NOT brick oven pizza as you would traditionally know it. It is, in fact, just a clever name. Rather, it is a fairly typical, average small town pizza joint that isn't going to wow you, but will probably be better than the chain fast food place you avoided. They also have a salad bar, which consists of shredded iceberg lettuce and a lot of meh. Don't go in expecting gourmet brick oven pizza and you'll be OK.

If youve been deprived of all independently owned pizza places and the Majority of chain ones in the southern indiana/louisville region you might think this is just OK but otherwise id say its on par with a chuck e cheese or dominos pizza. I think digornio delivers better

Is this the best pizza I've had? Oh no no no no,but all in all it wasn't bad at all. The cheese bread was pretty darn good, and the pizza its self was well made and had a generous amount of cheese. The staff was very nice and personable.

BE IN THE KNOW: Not on the menu, but ask for Hand-tossed. Not cardboard and MUCH better...even worthy of a Friday night carry-out!! Salad bar is still good just wish they didn't serve shredded iceberg lettuce!

Not brick oven pizza. I'd rather go to the Citgo gas station right down the street and get food there before I ate the sub par pizza again at Brickoven. If you don't like their pizza they also have the option to eat bland fried chicken that taste like fried cardboard. Don't worry though they have a below average "salad bar" if those options suite you. Will not return.

Buffet was cold and mostly not worth eating. Pizza tasted like frozen. Buffet was not restocked while we were here either. Overall, disappointed with the meal.

If I could add a 1/2 star I would. We decided to try again, since we learned that you get a BOGO with your Patriot Card (local discount card). The sauce actually had some flavoring this time! Unfortunately, the crust was still tough and tasteless. I have heard that the crust is better in the summer b/c they possibly use frozen to keep up with the demand. Maybe they should do that all year long.

If you've been you probably know, but this place is nothing to write home about. Situated in beautiful and novel Santa Claus, Indiana, we assumed incorrectly that we couldn't go wrong stopping to eat beside a giant LED Christmas tree less than a week from Christmas. We were immediately put off but the place itself. It was very dirty, unmopped with unclean tables, and the counters were falling apart. The line to the bathroom was backed up almost to the door, which was unfortunate as it was my first stop. There was no toilet paper or evidence that there had been any time in the recent past. People had been using the paper towels, so there were sort of a mess, and the trash can was overfilled dramatically. I shrugged it off as being an unfortunate bathroom, and a very busy restaurant. Our cashier, however, drove home my one-star review for my fellow guests. He was clearly not paying attention. We had to repeat requests multiple times before he could understand them, requests as simple as "What size is the small?" Finally we ordered our drinks and food and were informed that the cups were behind the soda machine for our drinks. Much to our dismay, everything we had all just ordered was marked with ripped scraps of paper and sharpie bearing the dooming "OUT OF ORDER" in capital letters. We went back to the cashier and asked him why he sold us drinks they didn't have. He stared at us dumbfounded. Finally his manager noticed the situation and instructed him to refund our drinks... Which took him ten minutes after two attempts to give us only about half back, thinking he had given us the full amount. He couldn't complete very simple math or operate a calculator. Finally one of our party who is an accountant explained to him the math that got her the amount we should get back and he gave us that amount. Eventually our food arrived to our dirty table. The pizza that I shared with a friend was delicious, but I heard different from the people who ate a sandwich. They said it was one of the worst sandwiches they had ever paid for. Truly, the experience was shockingly awful, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I'm also editing this to add this note: This is the first time I've negatively reviewed any restaurant on any website. I usually feel like it's not worth the tension to express disdain, but this place deserved the effort.
