This place is legit. Breakfast all day, homemade pies, down home grub. The biscuits and gravy were awesome and the fried tenderloin represents Indiana well. They have some serious breaded mushrooms, and the service is friendly.

Better than McDonald's. Ordered the biscuits n gravy because of another review that raved about it. But it was pretty bland, but eddible after going through 4 forks to find a clean one. The floors were dirty and servers friendly to locals but ignored us out of towners. Not a bad place for food other than fast food but not great either.

Reuben sandwich is greasy. Don't try picking it up to eat! Fork and knife are a must!

We like going here when we are in Salem. I had a cup soup and a sandwich as my wife had a salad and patty melt. The soup was homemade stuffed pepper soup. It had great flavor, but not as hot as like. However, that is a common complaint when I order soup out. The pork tenderloin sandwich was delicious. It is a Hoosier classic sandwich a breaded sandwich that is fresh made. It is not greasy and has a tremendous flavor. We then finished the meal with peanut butter pie. It was a great homemade pie. We love going here while in Salem.

It lives up to it's name... tasty! Although I've only had breakfast - this is a great asset for Salem!

Tasty House is a friendly, small town, affordable diner with lots of homemade items on the menu. For instance, burgers are made fresh, fried green tomatoes are made in season, and the red tomatoes tasted like they came from someone's garden. I was delighted with the peach cobbler, baked in its own glass plate. We had 15 people in our party and they quickly pulled together tables and served us with no issues. We don't get to Salem often, but when we do we will eat here again.

I really like this place but the best thing about it is the pies! I am a pie girl. I got a piece of oatmeal pie and then had a bite of their strawberry pie and bought a pie of that. It was so good. Definitely a fun family place.
