Visited this donut shop on my way through! I love stopping at little donut and coffee shops when I'm traveling and I saw this one online and made a point to stop there. I got there 30 minutes before closing and the donuts were still so soft and fresh. Great prices and people.

We came right beofre closing at there were 2!!!! donuts left! Slightly dissapointed I had drove all the way from Columbus Ohio I bought them. One was a plain one (something I would never even consider buying, and NOT EVEN SQUARE) and one chocolate donut hole (not even a real donut! but both were the best I have ever had! Ive eaten every donut in Columbus, most in Dayton, and many other places, every flavor you can imagine but NONE were as good as this plain glazed and chocolate hole from square donuts! If nothing else in Richmond is worth visiting, Square donuts is!!

The donuts here are very good, However I was turned off when one of the employees put on gloves, hiked her pants up, then proceeded to pack the donuts wIth the contaminated gloves. No, she did not use the tissue paper either. It will be a long while before I return. Hopefully management will train the employees on safety and sanitation more effectively.

Great doughnuts!! We picked up doughnuts Thursday morning and enjoyed them very much. The shape is unique! I ordered the Peanut Butter Chocolate doughnut and it was delicious. My husband had vanilla with pecans on top. Great with coffee!!

I came here on August 13th, 2014. The donuts were really good! Tasted fresh and you can tell the donuts are made with passion. Great little place with friendly and helpful staff. Was just passing through on my way back to Arizona and I was very impressed!

Small town love and they help a lot of people. Just wish they'd have gluten free options!!

Best doughnuts in town. In the area really. I had a friend come down from Minnesota last year and to this day he asks me if there is any way I can overnight him some square doughnuts from time to time.

I usually take the kiddos down to square donuts a couple times a month. We typically "dine in" if they have an open table. The place is always clean, staff if friendly and the price is right. The three of can get our fill of sugary goodness for about 6 bucks (yes 6 bucks total, not each), including Coffee and milk. The glazed yeast donuts melt in your mouth. The chocolate filled peanut butter iced donut is one of my faves too, its like an inside out peanut butter cup. My only gripe is they don't have a lot of cake donuts to choose from. I'd love to see the pumpkin, chocolate/chocolate and blueberry cake available all the time, but the again if they were, I'd probably weigh 300Lbs... Oh yea the coffee is pretty durn good to although last time I was there all they had was unleaded... ): And they have a drive in case walking 30 feet seems like way to much effort for a donut...

Incredible donuts! And yes, they're square with a round hole! Square Donuts has the best donuts in town and are so darn cheap! I almost feel like I'm stealing as I walk about of there with a sack of donuts, having spend a couple of bucks. The donuts don't usually last long so if you've got the hankering, you'd best get in there early! But they're worth it!

This is the best doughnut shop in Richmond. I would give them a "5", but their buttermilk bars and related items have a slightly odd taste. But I love their namesake doughnut. It is just a plain old glazed yeast square, but it is quite good. They are best fresh, but as the place closes at noon, nothing will be terribly old. They also have quite reasonable prices (pocket-change worthy), and even have a drive though. Oh, there are some doughnuts that you apparently need to order ahead of time (day before), but I have not tried those. Oh, you can pay with plastic, and I don't think there is a minimum charge. They also have good customer service, although you might get a funny look if you only buy two doughnuts at a time. :)

Amazing donuts, especially when you buy them at the crack of dawn, you know they're the freshest at that time. That being said, you must come early in the morning or you risk what Nijole T. experienced and have barely anything from which to choose. They have other types of bars and jelly donuts, but the plain glazed square is my absolute favorite, it reminds me very much of Krispy Kremes.

These are the best donuts I have ever had, and I am a donut connoisseur . I tried these when I was going through town. Wow. The jelly, powdered sugar, peanut butter, cake, and glazed donuts are all excellent. The texture of these donuts are superior. What a find!
