I can't leave a review without a star otherwise I would have left the "stars" blank. We were so disappointed with the food, service, and atmosphere. We own a local small business and like to support other local small businesses, but we will never return to this establishment. Our meal came with salads, when they were delivered my husband's lettuce was all brown and rotten and my salad had hair in it. I had the 10oz sirloin and asked that it be cooked to medium when it received it it was well done. My husband ordered the Alfredo and it came out in a wine sauce and His garlic bread was also burnt. We didn't touch any of our food and at that point we decided to leave. The waitress felt terrible and pleaded with the manager to take care of our ticket. He was only going to take $7 off. Then we asked to speak with his boss (the owner) and he was annoyed that we were unhappy with our meal and stated "we were the first complaint all night". The waitress showed him our salads and uneaten plates and eventually he told the manager to take care of it and get to get us moving along. We felt that the wait staff was treated rudely and was dismissed by the manager and owner when discussing concerns that they had with customer service. The customer service by the mangers and the owner is absolutely terrible. We were surprised to see that there were also several light bulbs out throughout the dining room and the overall atmosphere was a let down.

I've only been here once and I'm not planning on returning. One waitress was sitting with an older man and they were LOUDLY conversing, using swear words, laughing obnoxiously, for an hour straight. Our server seemed as if she was brand new. I ordered a bowl of fruit on the side and was presented with fruit cocktail out of a can because they were "out of bananas and strawberries". The meal I originally ordered was sold out of a certain item so I was forced to order something else. The food was mediocre. Not worth the money, and was cold. I'm only giving two stars instead of one because the restaurant was at least clean.

That place is terrible! Wouldn't give any stars!! Service is slow and food was terrible. I got eggs and corn beef hash. The worst I've ever had!! How do you mess that up?!! Just drive by that place!!! Go to Cast away's!

I've eaten here twice. First time was not impressed at all steak was overcooked, service slow, and salad wilted. Waited 2 years decided to try again, glad I did. All you can eat pollock on Friday night for $9 was great with plenty of accompaniments, and sweet potato were very good. It was dead this evening so maybe that is why service was so much better as well

Food was excellent! Well priced and large portions. Service lacked. My coffee went dry and with three kids, I need my fuel.... I tried waving for service and felt ignored. We stopped for breakfast and were surprisingly impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant and bathrooms.

Reasonable selection and service. I've had good and bad dinners here, I'd recommend sticking with Mediterranean style dishes. Some things get over cooked, others undercooked.

My wife has eaten here more than I have, but we've both eaten here at least twice. All our meals have been well above average, as has been the overall service, which seems to be a joint effort. My wife regularly enjoys the Greek Salad, and I've found their seafood dishes satisfactory for a small rural Midwestern town...nothing special, but among the few decent options for sit-down eating in the immediate area. Some other diners we know have complained about the food and/or service. No doubt some will here on Yelp. We think those negative experiences may have been the result of two things: 1. Some restaurants, especially in a relatively barren area when it comes to decent sit-down restaurants, try to be all things to all people by keeping a menu that exceeds reasonable expectation for a locally-owned non-chain restaurant. That may be the case for Symphony. Symphony is probably competing primarily against Applebees, Bob Evans, and Christos' (a local restaurant). The former two produce a wide variety of bland but flashy-looking choices, and I'm sure Symphony feels pressure to keep up with them in menu size. That might be resulting in some dishes being mediocre. 2. People often get used to salty and cheaply-seasoned and artificially spicy food; around here, that is often what passes for "great food." Now, I'm not saying that Symphony is "fine dining" and offering food that will rate highly among those with significant culinary experience -- it's a "family restaurant" setup, and that's okay. However, people who get used to certain types of food might be disappointed at food that isn't overly salty or gaudy with seasoning, so some complaints of "blandness" pop up here and there. Keep in mind that my wife and I prefer Thai, African, Middle Eastern, and Indian food over most anything else, so we're all about seasoning and spices. You'd think that if anyone were to complain about blandness, it would be us, but we haven't really had that problem with Symphony restaurant. We're perfectly content eating here if we want a decent sit-down meal that doesn't require a planned trip somewhere else. Overall, my wife would give this a 4, and I would give it a 3.
