First of all, let me say that 3-stars is pretty generous on this review. This location is new & it still has some major kinks to iron out...so I'm giving them the some leniency that management will step up & get their service issues ironed out (see below). Occasionally,we get in the mood for a junk food dinner of wings & fries. We were excited when we saw that a Wings, Etc was going in in Plainfield because we had been to the one in Avon a few times & liked it (& we loathe BW3's). Tonight we thought we would try the new location. The Restaurant- is clean, well-appointed, & boasts an insane number of large TV's (we counted 30). We might have a new place to watch hockey! There is even a small, open room in the back that might offer a small-group dining option. Two-thirds of the restaurant is family-friendly & the other 3rd is the bar area. Next time, we will sit in the bar area...because there were a LOT of squealing babies at 6pm on a Thursday. Combine squealing babies & the overly loud screechy music playing and we wished we had ordered something stiffer to drink with dinner. Service-- it sucked, frankly. Despite what appears to be a huge number of employees, they were VERY unorganized & lacked the basic fundamental team communication skills that are vital to service. Service was slow, and lacked follow-through. We saw only 1 server who seemed to know what she was doing, & she seemed very frustrated with her work environment...poor girl. A large number of staff members were running around looking frazzled...something is MAJORLY wrong with how the staff was trained. Food- this was consistent with other Wings, Etc restaurants I have been to in it's appearance, quality & portions. Their wings really are a lot meatier. We love their Me-So-Spicy & Tweener glazes. We also ordered curly fries w/Cajun seasoning. A MAJOR gripe I have about this place is that if you request a plate to eat your wings off of (vitally important for someone who has to eat them with a knife/fork)...you are given a 4-inch paper "plate." What the heck? By the 3rd wing my paper saucer/coaster was dissolving & I kept having to pick paper chunks out of my mouth. Gross! The Avon location has Real plates...and I'm hoping this paper plate issue at the Plainfield location is just a start-up snafu. Otherwise, it will probably be worth the drive to keep going to Avon. The service is spotty there to at times, but not nearly as bad as our experience tonight.

I rarely do 1 star reviews, but... We had to wait 30 minutes in between rounds of drinks. It was a Friday night, but not so terribly busy that service was that bad. The server couldn't remember how to divide the three groups of a party of 7. A teacher at our table was asked to go help him divide the ticket at the computer. There also was no toilet paper in the ladies room. On the plus side, the TVs were on basketball games.

Wanted to try something different but didn't want to travel far so we came here. The restaurant is very clean and well laid out. Each table has its own large tv so you can be sure you'll see the game no problem. The menu has a ton of choices for even the pickiest eater. We had the pretzel bites and fried pickles for apps. Both were very good, I highly recommend the southwest ranch! It was Thursday so they had $8 pitchers and .59 cent wings, traditional and boneless. We all tried a different sauce and we were not disappointed by any of them. Beer selection was decent with the usuals and a bunch of locals and micros. Since the pitchers were cheap we just had miller lite. Waitress was very nice and helpful when choosing what we wanted. This is definitely a place we will return to several times!

One of the worst dining experiences in years. Chicken nachos were virtually without taste, and the lettuce was from the end of the head (really, how much is lettuce???). Had to call the search and rescue team to find the chicken under all the molten Velveeta. To top it off, the waitress/bartender was the most unfriendly, indifferent waitress I've run across in my life.........

SLOW service! If you have 2 hours to kill waiting on some nachos and wings then this is your place. Food is hit or miss. Buffalo chicken wrap was good (made wrong ) but tasted good. The nachos were gross ( made wrong) made correctly then but still gross. Margarita was average taste but over priced. Tried this place several times - not planning on coming back.

Seated right away. Wings were great. Appetizers were brought quickly and we're delicious! Drinks were great! Waitress was wonderful!
