I have been here several times since this restaurant has been opened and they just cannot decide on a menu. I was there 2 weeks ago to a nice menu of fish, burgers etc. I go last night and it is just pizza. They give you a small slip of paper where you checkbox your pizza. You also cannot remove topping from your pizza which tells me they are frozen/premise. There are no other food options. The waitress told me it was Bc they were now a traditional brewhouse. I was confused Bc I thought they were a brewhouse before. The pizza was tasty but for the price ($12.95-$14.95) I would have went to a different location to meet my friends for dinner. The waitresses also felt 8:30 was a great time to shut the tvs off and start putting chairs on top of tables. Nothing like feeling rushed out. I just really don't feel like this restaurant will be around much longer and that is sad.

We visited last night and had a very relaxed experience. Our server was spot on and super helpful. We took his recommendation on the White Chicken Bacon Alfredo pizza, along with the Buffalo Chicken pizza, pretzel with beer cheese and a 1/2 order of nachos. Don't judge, the pizzas were small and there were leftovers. The chicken bacon alfredo pizza was very flavorful. Will definitely get that again. The buffalo pizza wasn't as saucey as I'd like. I asked for a side of the hot sauce for dipping. That did the trick. The nachos were good. The chips appeared to be homemade. Basic beef with queso, sour cream, blk olives, salsa etc. The pretzel was good, although a little on the hard side. The beer cheese dipping sauce was the star of the show. Really tasty. Beers - one of theirs and then one of Taxman Brewery beers. Ended up with a growler of the Taxman to go. If you are into Stouts, it's worth trying. I thought the atmosphere was light and airy. Plenty of TV's. There is a bar area and a family area for those that want to bring kids. Definitely worth checking out. I am a big fan of Black Swan (across the street), but the menus are very different. Both boast a "more than bar food menu", both succeed in their own way.

We stopped in based on prior experiences and meeting some friends. What a complete shock that the entire menu had changed. Although the food is still really good, the fantastic french onion soup is gone along with many other items that were fantastic. It's a very basic menu and not many options for a diverse crowd. This is truly disappointing as they have a great location a great atmosphere. Not sure we will be returning now based on all the changes that have happened.

We have lived in Plainfield almost a year and we are just now discovering this place. The brewpub is always busy with locals, so don't come here if you want quiet. The beer is good and the food is good. I recommend giving this place a shot if you're in the area!! I have had their rattlesnake pasta dish and their chicken wrap. The pasta dish was so good, but VERY spicy. The chicken was just OK. My husband loves the breaded tenderloin. Oh, and don't miss out on the pub chips!

I've started this review two or three times now, but I'm at an absolute loss for words. Upon being greeted by our waitress, she informed us that the kitchen was not accepting anymore pizza orders because they were too backed up. Then so nicely stated she "hoped we weren't too hungry". It's 7PM on a Thursday night, of course I'm hungry! The menu in general isn't all that great to begin with. It's ALL pizza (and over priced at that). No appetizers, nothing. The beer isn't my favorite. I typically enjoy blonde ales, but their Beatnik Blonde is my least favorite of all the blondes I've had around town. I love local. I love supporting local businesses. However, I cannot put a good review behind this place. It appears they really have some soul searching to do and hopefully they get it figured out before they lose their entire customer base.
(1)Dave P.
Just another Pizza place. They used to have a great menu with ok beer selections. Now all they have is pizza, nasty meatballs and salad. Unfriendly staff and crappy beer. We wont be back.
(1)Lisa E.
This was my first trip to Three Pints. The service was excellent, the burgers were great. Their pricing was a little high compared to other "local pubs". And when placing an order, no list of specials - but they told you "what we don't have today" and these were common leader items. They were also out of a certain craft beer that was popular. If they could improve those issues I may go back and update my review.
(3)Michael H.
Food is slightly better than it was before they revised their menu, however the service was terrible. Had to go up to the bar to order more beer and get refills when our waitress disappeared for a while. There are much better local breweries in the area, we will not be going back.

This place has gone from a 4+ Star eatery and pub to a ZERO star BOMB!!! Whoever has made the decisions to (A) change the menu, (B) Take away the lunch hours, & (C) Offer this "Pizza Only" menu needs to be recognize the errors of their ways. I used to absolutely love this place and it pains me to write this review. For anyone to take time out of their day to tell it how it is, hopefully will demonstrate to the owners of his once fine establishment, the obvious errors of their ways. Here's "Food for Thought". If you think that these decisions will not harm you in the long run , think again. There is still time to turn this around, but I fear that these poor business decisions may be set in stone by unqualified individuals who are blinded by foolish logic. We'll see what happens from here. It's a sad day in Plainfield.

I visited Three Pints Brewpub specifically to taste all of their brews via two flights. From other reviews, I knew their menu was lacking, so I ate prior to my arrival. Beer is very subjective; however, I can speak from years of experience drinking craft brews. I can honestly say that I liked 10 of the 12 beers I tasted. My favorites were the Chocolate Raspberry Stout and the H.I.L.F. I visited on a Friday evening and sat on the patio; the place was dead for the 2 hours I was there. Our server was very professional and attentive; I never had to wait to get served. I would definitely recommend Three Pints as a place to go and drink !
(5)Chuck M.
Great beer, excellent pizza. I had the pale ale, soon to be renamed Three Pints Pale Ale. Very tasty, nicely hopped. Well balanced.
(5)Chris D.
This location is closed. The building is for sale. They tried to generate business by having trivia and giving gift certificates as prizes but that failed.
(1)Big John D.
Good food and beer. I have had a couple bad experiences here with waitresses, though, where they've tried to short me on my change. Their beers are very good. My favorite is the Scottish.
(4)Peter P.
This review is for the brewing operation only. If you want to read a horror novel, check out my review of the brewpub. The beer is mediocre at best. No flavor. Flat. The stuff of homebrewers. And not good ones either. The servers are not very knowledgeable about the beers that they serve (and not just about the character/flavor/finish/etc., but whether or not they even have any). Everything about this place just seems like a couple of buddies from high school thought it would be a good idea to get into the brewing business because they thought it would be fun and because they like to drink.
(2)James G.
Great atmosphere, great service and great food - nothing but good things to say about this place. Not being familiar with their house brews, I described what I like and they let me try a bit, and they nailed it on the first try. I ordered the "Burger got the Blues" for dinner. What a great meal- and perfectly cooked to order. Pricing is more than reasonable. I would highly recommend this place, and plan to return at every opportunity.
(4)Dean B.
I really used to like Three Pints, sort of. I really tried to like them. But ever since the remodel and a change of business model, not so much. The menu just isn't working. The beers have gone weird. And they are just too pricy. The new BJ's Brewpub, even though it is in Avon will eat 3P's lunch. Sorry.
(2)Mary B.
I visit Plainfield every couple of months to visit my best friend. We used to love this place as our favorite brew pub in the area with the burgers, the appetizers, the pot roast sandwich. Now the menu is nothing but pizza, and expensive pizza at that. $14 for pizza to serve one person? I think not. Black Swan - thank goodness you still have a full menu.
(1)Jennifer R.
By hap chance my boyfriend and I were looking for a quick bite near our hotel before heading to a friends to watch Sunday football. I checked the yelp reviews as I was sitting at the bar and everyone said to try to pot roast sandwich- they were so so so right. This sandwich is ridiculous. It may be one of the messiest things I've ever ate but I enjoyed every messy minute of it. My boyfriend ordered the fried tenderloin sandwich which was great too. He eyed my plate so much I had to give him a bite and ever got my food back as he finished it. If I ever found myself on this side of Indy again- no doubt I would be back. Now, to find out if they ship to Florida.....
(5)Roxanne T.
This place used to be awesome....Now it sucks!!!! The menu has gotten smaller (less than 20 items) and the food has also diminished in size! Got rid of all the good appetizers and their burgers used to be fresh, now they are pre-made patties:( The fish before had you full, unfortunately we all left hungry:( If you like beer only,it is OK at best, and the staff is very rude...WON"T be returning again:(
(1)Lane P.
Three Pints does what they do and they do it well. We came in for lunch and were promptly greeted by our server. Service was prompt, courteous and attentive. The staff knows their beer selection very well and are able to make quality recommendations. We ended up ordering the Beatnick Blonde to drink. It was very nice and light. They do rotate their beers seasonally, so there's always something new to try. We have had their nachos before but they offered many more options to customize this time. We opted for beer cheese nachos and weren't disappointed. The portion size was generous and there were plenty of toppings to keep it going. We also ordered the jalapeño bites. They were delicious and actually spicy, something Indiana typically doesn't do well. If you're looking for flashy or gourmet this isn't your place, so just turn around. But the food is consistent and good. The beer is quality and delicious,
(5)Sarah R.
The beer flight is a fair price and they have some really unique choices. I loved the beef and beer chili, especially since they didn't shy away from the spiciness like a lot of places do. The service, on the other hand, was sub par.... Good thing the food made up for it.
(4)Amber P.
Made a quick stop at Three Pints on the way to visit my dad yesterday. He was running late at work and I was hungry... and well... thirsty too :-) Drinks and food are very reasonable. Ask about their pint holder's club if you're local to Plainfield. You can thank me later. I had the fish and chips which was NOT a big ball of batter like many places I've gone. The fries were super crispy and flavorful. My waiter's name was Andrew and man was he on the ball. Thanks for a great experience guys!
(5)Elisha S.
What the heck happened to the menu???????? It use to be a place you could get good food and beer. Now it's no different than black swan which is terrible!! I guess from now on we will eat a Taco Bell and walk over to 3 pints for the beer. Who ever came up with this new menu needs to realize this is Plainfield!! We like our nachos and pizza at a pub!
(1)Bob C.
Not familiar with the area so we found this place on Yelp. The place wasn't very busy. The beer was good but the menu was very limited. Pizza, meatballs and salad was the only selection. I ordered a meat pizza without steak but was told they couldn't accommodate a special order like leaving off one topping. Instead I had to order s pizza and pay for each topping I wanted separately. The reason given was there are high school kids in the kitchen so they can't do special orders. The pizza was pretty average at best. Access to this place is very limited as well. This wouldn't be a place I seek out for a second visit.

Boy, was I surprised to learn that Plainfield had a craft brew pub. I had no idea. I was pleased that it was a good experience. This seems like a local favorite, so be prepared for it to be busy. I would say it is worth the trip though. I had a beer sampler and the Pot Roast sandwich. Get the pot roast sandwich, with the caramelized onions. Darn good sandwich. I had the Three Pints spuds (deep-fried baby potatoes) but I was underwhelmed. Definitely a different side dish nest time. My companion had the Patty Melt burger with sweet potato fries. I had a bit of the burger and it was tasty. The fries weren't bad either . Of the beers, I enjoyed the Yoshi's Nectar and Plainfield Pale the best. The Buffalue Black IPA was interesting, but not my thing. I would recommend checking this place out if in the area. Definitely nice to have a local option in that area.
(3)Samantha P.
We happened upon Three Pints because a friend was throwing a surprise party here. Turns out we showed up during Oktoberfest. This meant that they had a limited, mostly German food menu. No biggie, I could tell a few of the party-goers weren't super happy about this, but my husband and I didn't care and are always willing to try new things. But most importantly they had an AMAZING beer special. 34 oz. mugs of beer for only $12, you get to keep the mug and refills are only $6. It was awesome, but maybe only for the 3 day Oktoberfest. The beers we tried were also very good, we tried Oktoberfest, Yoshi's Nectar and a wheat beer, I don't remember the name. We got the bratwurst special to split and all the food was pretty good, especially the bratwurst but nothing super amazing. This experience was enough to make me be willing to go back and try it on a regular weekend! Hopefully it will be just as good!
(4)John W.
We went here last weekend. Everything was just ok. Now the hand breaded tenderloin was pretty good. They have downsized their menu quite a bit. The cheese ball was good but pretzels not so good.
(3)Elizabeth V.
I had the beer flight sampler and loved them all. I think they just redid their menu also, so go check it out!
(5)Laura B.
Beer was pretty good, but options seemed limited. I do appreciate that they make their own beer. The food was mediocre at best. I got a soft pretzel and it was very dry. The beer cheese sauce that came with it was pretty terrible. I prefer Black Swan, which is just down the street. They have both good beer AND good food.
(3)Mark W.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and the growler refill's are discounted on Tuesday. I will be back for the Plainfield pale ale. Make sure they fill your growler to the top.
(3)Margo F.
Not great to put it mildly. Ok nice waitress...slow but nice. Are you surprised that a "grilled" chicken club is cold? Cold strips of chicken, cold bun, slab of cheese "sorry no bacon" (that's ok cold bacon is gross)..truly disgusting. Fries are nice. Fried green tomatoes garlicky but tasty, tenderloin average. Great they are closing because facelift needed and not cosmetically.
(2)Danielle S.
Three Pints is a good place to come for a local brew and some bar food. I tried a few of their beers, and the Beatnik Blonde was my favorite. We were able to sample a few for free (it was like a ketchup cup full). They have a menu with your regular bar food - we ordered the wings and nachos. Both were good, not the best I've had, but good. The wings could use some more sauce. The atmosphere is a little dark with some TV's, a bar to sit at, and some tables/booths. It's not horribly big. They have an outdoor patio too.
(4)Ethan H.
Those who know me know I hesitate to knock a new brewpub. But Three Pints is pretty watered down, especially compared to its competition. Of course, there's no accounting for taste -- so if you like Three Pints, I'm happy for you and for them. But I'll take my business to Black Swan across the street. First, the positive: I love the decor and the general feel of the place. Very laid back, casual, non-obnoxious sports pub kind of place. Also, the patio is nice ... at least, in a "suburban, beautiful view of the strip mall parking lot" kind of way. Also, the prices are very reasonable, and at $6, the lunch special seems like a particularly good deal. On the other hand, the beer was largely uninspired. Nothing full-flavored and nothing really interesting. True, I can be a bit of a hop-head. But even the IPA was missing something, and the whole selection seemed, well, watered down. And the pizza was terrible. Really, no better (and possibly worse) than the boxed, frozen pizza you get at the grocery store. A few people have told me that the pot roast sandwich is exceptional -- and the picture on the menu certainly looks inviting. But if I went back to try it, what would I drink?
(3)Larry E.
Have been here several times and like coming here. This visit was a little different in that they are supposedly changing their menu and were out of or no longer offered several items we tried to order. Sandwiches are good. Good beer options.
(3)Billy G.
The craft beer is excellent! The food is very good and big portions. The price is fair. If you leave hungry or thirsty it's your own fault. Make sure to talk to the manger Bob. He's a great guy and really cares about patrons satisfaction.
(5)Steve S.
Fun place, good beer, good service, pretzel with beer cheese is damn good! Pot roast sandwich and fish/chips were big hits....all in all a much better experience than I expected - would definitely go again when in the area - good for some beers with a group and really good food!
(4)Rick G.
Three Pints shows a lot of promise, however, I think they need some work in food and service. Service...we went for dinner because they were having a fundraiser for a local animal rescue, and were please to get a meal and have the proceeds go to the rescue group. When we arrived, we told the hostess we were there for the fundraiser, and she said "Are we having a fundraiser tonight??"..not an especially good sign. We were seated, had our meal, and after dining, found out that the rest of the diners there for charity were seated on the patio, and we were inside. It would've been nice if the staff was aware of what was going on that night. The food...Holly REALLY liked her meal quite a lot. I ordered the breaded tenderloin, and it was...not very good. From the rest of the items on their menu, I expected a hand breaded tenderloin, but what I got appeared to be just another pre-processed, frozen fritter. VERY disappointing. My onion rings were stellar, though, and I wouldn't hesitate to order them again. After being seated, our service was OK. Not great, but not terrible either. I'll certainly go back and give Three Pints a try just to give them a fair shake.
(2)Carrie W.
We received menus after 10 minutes, then left 10 minutes later after no one came back. They won't ever get my business. Beware!
(1)Lauren H.
I like that there are 2 sides of this place- a family restaurant side and a bar side. They just recently started serving their micro-brews, but I was not a fan of the IPA's. Word on the street is there is a great California beer, but I couldn't order it last time I was there since they were running low on it. Now it seems to be one of the more popular beers they make, you think they could plan a little better and brew some more of that so people could actually order and enjoy it? They also serve other local micro-brews, so I ended up ordering Sun King last time i was there. The outside seating has improved since they built a pergola over the cement slab, it gives it some character now. I have seen corn hole boards, but haven't played there. Will be better once they get the hang of what to brew and have it available! And yes, the secret ingredient in the cheese dipping sauce is cheese-whiz.
(2)Jared B.
Small, quaint, good feel brewpub with decent food, above average beer selection, and suspect service. I wish I could give 3.5 stars. I have been 8 or so times and half those times I have had TERRIBLE service. The female server was borderline mean, inattentive, augmentative, and somewhat rude. I actually heard her at another table recommend Bud Light because a woman was having trouble deciding on a beer. She said, "Just drink what everybody else drinks, our beers are for unique palates." WOW! The other half of the time I have had someone different and they were always MUCH better. The Beatnick Blond and Retired Red's Ale are good in house choices, plus they have a guest tap full of mostly other Indiana beers, which I find SUPERB! They have a good soft pretzel and their hummus and pita bread is amazing. The Three Pints Spuds are very good too! Their pot roast melts in your mouth and is worth the trip alone. Their pulled pork is very good, but their Shepard's Pie fell short. No lamb in it at all!! What?! Should be called a cottage pie! I will continue to go back, but pray I don't stuck with the server of doom. It's a gamble, but worth the risk.
(3)Marcella K.
I like this place. They have decent beer, good bar food, family friendly with a friendly staff. No competition really on the west side, so it's nice to have a brewery around.
(4)Keith M.
Found this on our drive back from Pittsburgh when we hit Indianapolis. This place brews it own beer, the Retired Red Ale is very good. The ribeye was great as was the freshly mashed potatoes with the skin still there. Friends had the reuben n fish n chips, all were very satisfied n full afterwards. We had a great waiter, Donald, who was great help with the menu and beer choice from their micro brewery.
(4)Dave O.
The beer was good and the service was friendly. We were there late on a Sunday afternoon. Felt more like a biker bar to me at the time we were there because it was a warm Sunday afternoon and there were several harley motorcycles in the parking..
(3)Tim N.
Went today and ordered a black n blue burger. Great service and the burger was cooked as I asked (medium well) it was just average nothing great .
(2)Samantha T.
We've been here a few times and each time the service has sucked, but we've had the same server every time. It would appear that the rest of the staff is working hard and people seem to be satisfied but the girl we've had is AWFUL, like, the worst you can get. Non attentive, not friendly, argued with us about a drink special, just plain bad. It's enough to not get our business unless someone else really wants to visit. Other than that the food is pretty decent and the beers are good. Nice local place but it could stand to be a bit bigger.
(2)Holly G.
We were invited by friends to attend a fundraiser at Three Pints and we were excited to help support a good cause and try a new restaurant. We got there at the beginning of the fundraiser and the hostess didn't know there was a fundraiser going on since her shift had just started. That was a little disconcerting, and we really hoped that our purchase went towards the fundraiser, because when we left the place all the fundraiser diners were in one spot outside. Oops! So they seated us and we started checking out the menu. I knew I wanted to try a few of the beers and they have a couple of options to let you do so. You can get a very small taster cup for free, or you can pay for a 4 oz. sample for $1 - I thought that was a pretty fair shake, and I'm glad I got the free taste. I REALLY liked the McClearen's Scottish Ale. I expected it to be heavier and it really wasn't - just pleasantly dark and surprisingly refreshing. It went really well with the beer battered fish and chips I ordered. Instead of regular fries I ordered sweet potato fries and the beer complimented them both very nicely. Our dinners came with soup or salad and we both opted for salads. They were plain tossed salads, which is fine, but the pieces of lettuce were WAAAAAAAY too big! They need to tear them into smaller bite-sized pieces. The fish was cod - buttery and crisp - very nice flavor. The coleslaw was average. My sweetie ordered the tenderloin and was sorrowfully disappointed. It's not a breaded tenderloin at all. It was a pork fritter. Yuck. And although the menu did not expressly indicate that it was a genuine breaded tenderloin, he went with his gut feeling because of the other offerings on the menu. Boy, was he wrong! He got the onion rings and they were STELLAR. We also shared a dessert that was above average. The service started out GREAT but faded fast as more customers came in the restaurant. And it's not that they were slammed or anything...she just didn't speed up to keep up with the demand of more customers. Overall, I think our experience here was good. I'd love to come back and try more of the beers and some different menu items. They do a lot of cooking with beer here and I love that, so I'll definitely return to try more of the fare. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and you can watch TV without shouting to be heard.
(3)Rich L.
the pot roast melts in your mouth; the burgers and pizza are great; and the pretzel with beer cheese will make you wanna slap your mama!!
(5)Kelly M.
Good food with unique recipes, great beer. Although they have a full bar do yourself a favor and try one of their beers. They have a wide variety that changes frequently.
(5)Drew K.
Stopped in for a beer after work. They only had an IPA home brew on Tap so I had a Sun King which I was glad to see on Tap in Plainfield. I didn't order any food, but looked over the menu. Nothing really caught my eye. The place hasn't been open long. I think they should have finished construction before opening. I guess they had some permit problems or something with their brewing. Overall.....I guess I'll try it again sometime.
(2)Jonathan M.
Finally got to try this place. Just was not a good environment to me. Everything was a little off. They were the first place in plainfield to get their own brew out. I was not impressed with their IPA. It did grow on me though. I would give it and some of their other stuff a shot next time I am in town. They also had a red on tap that was theirs. 3 sun king handles, 2 upland and 1 oaken barrel, atleast they are keeping ot local. The food seemed to be the semi average bar fare. I did not try it because I want something different. The staff there was interesting to say the least. Lots of potty mouth coming from the kitchen and the 2 bar tenders spilled all the beans about their entire lives. Just was not my bag of tea. Will try again, if they stay open.
(2)Sara S.
Wow! Great food! Our group had pot roast sandwich, cheese burger, pretzel with beer cheese dip, potato spuds, sweet potato fries, and of course beer! Beatnick Blond Wheat - great taste! The pot roast sandwich was AMAZING. No complaints on service either. Definitely a new favorite!!
(5)Chris M.
God this beer was pretty awful. It was hard to drink, and I'll pretty much drink whatever as long as it doesnt have cherries or raspberries in it.
(2)Andy J.
The only thing keeping this place from getting a 1 star review was the pot roast. The pot roast was delicious and only $12 for a decent portion. Now the bad. Service sucked. I was the only person at the bar for 90% of the time there and I still didn't get good service. I ordered a crock of French onion soup and about 5 minutes later i ordered the pot roast. After 10 minutes no soup, but my salad showed up. Ate the salad and still no soup. Soup finally shows up and 35 seconds later my pot roast showed up. The Soup sucked and by the time I got to the pot roast it was half cold. Bartender never bothered to remove my finished plate, a passing waitress eventually did. When my meal was finished I sat with an empty beer for close to 10 minutes waiting for my tab. Finally the beers are $5, which seems awful high.
(2)Jennifer E.
We used this restaurant for our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. I had eaten here once before and I loved the food. Their fish and chips are wonderful and large portion of fish. I love their Spuds as my side dish. Beers are all good and great atmosphere. They were able to accomodate my large group of family and friends(45 people in all) and they got everyone's order correct, no waiting for anything and prices were great! Three Pints will get my business anyday due to their great food, phenomenal service, and awesome beer!
(5)Andrew M.
Went to a new restaurant in Plainfield today for some lunch. It is located where Woodfire Grill used to be. The place recently opened, and has a great menu beyond what you normally find at a small brew pub. Being that it was lunch, I wasn't able to sample any of their in house brews, but a followup trip is definitely warranted. I had the Pot Roast sandwich. It was awesome. I would definitely recommend Three Pints to anyone looking for a good meal in Plainfield. Lunch was around $10.

Great APA and IPA
(4)Debby R.
Took my son and daughter-in-law to this pub on Saturday afternoon (7/28) because they had not been there before and my husband and I have had great food and service in the past. So disappointed ... took over 30 min to get our drinks and over an hour to get our food and then it was wrong (and the place was not busy). I asked waitress what the problem was and she said she was training and so was a cook. When we finally received our bills (2 separate, one for us and one for son), we both paid with credit cards. When I checked my bank statement on Monday, BOTH meals had been charged to our credit card and my son's did not get charged at all! So embarrassed for recommending this place. Will be a while before we even think about returning. It's too bad because we really enjoy the food and their beers.

3 1/2 stars. We've been to Three Pints twice recently and I'm happy to report that we had good food, service and beer both times. Perhaps sitting at the bar is a better spot for good, prompt service as we sat at the bar during each of our visits. Besides the bar area there is a separate family dining area and also a pretty large covered outdoor seating area. On both visits we ordered entrees and were pleased with them. The fish & chips came with a huge piece of crunchy fried hand-battered fish and the meat was moist & flaky and definitely not frozen. The house rib-eye was grilled medium as requested and was well seasoned and juicy though the steak wasn't particularly thick. And, the rattlesnake shrimp pasta was terrific. I'm not sure how many calories & fat are in this dish but..........it's worth it! The sauce is a tequila cream Alfredo sauce that is spicy, cheesy & gooey and wickedly satisfying. The pasta also included a generous amount of large grilled shrimp, crawfish, spicy andouille sausage and slices of fresh jalapeño. The food items that other patrons were receiving looked enticing: large fried catfish & breaded tenderloin sandwiches, towering platters of nachos and hot wings that were chanting my name. Really. Three Pints just recently began serving their own house brewed beer. We've sampled several so far and they're all pretty good. Their IPA is not extremely hoppy but it's a respectable IPA. They also carry some guest taps like Sun King, Upland and Goose Island were available when we were there. AND, they serve their drafts in 20 oz Imperial pint glasses! Our 2 dining experiences were positive experiences and I'm sorry to read the unfavorable reviews for this establishment because I just can't confirm these other reviewer complaints.

I go to Indy once a month for business and no matter what I always make time to go to Three Pints Brewpub for dinner. I have been there about 5 times and it is always good. On Friday night you better get there early. The Rib eye steak is as good as any I have ever had. Beers are tasty and not over hopped. Burgers are juicy. Awesome chicken wings. Onion rings are a must. Please try it out. You will not be disappointed.

I thought the food was great. I had the dusted shrimp. Good sized and great flavor. My mom had the chicken kabob and said it was a little dry. the beer was great. Only downfall is the server really had no idea what she was talking about and didnt provide us with very good service

NOOOOO!!!! So weird. We went and it happened to be the 1 year anniversary so the lot was full. We thought this was a good sign, it was not. Walked in and a woman with a female version of a Cosby sweater and state fair hair, who I thought was a patron, was the friendly hostess. We just came for drinks and she checked the bar for us and what luck, there were 2 seat available. The interior by the bar reminds me of the bars in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, but just a little off somehow. The bar was small, which I like, only about 8-10 seats. We ordered a flight of their 6 beers on tap. The Yoshi's Nectar which was a CA common, a wheat, a red, IPA, an English ale, and a Scottish ale. $6 for the flight. When they were set in front of us the only beer that was distinguishable was the wheat. All the others were basically identical with a slight variation in clarity. The CA common ale was the best of the bunch, we drank all of that one. Although the wheat was a little weak, it was still drinkable. The other 4 we took a drink each and pushed the basically full glasses to the bar rail. The 2 guys next to us at the bar were eating wings and a quesadilla. The woman to our right was eating wings while wearing a homemade napkin bib tucked into her shirt and drinking white wine. Her cohort was drinking a Coors light and his buddy was polishing off a Bud Lt. while one of the 3 or 4 bartenders twisted open a fresh one for him. The woman across the bar was trying the red and the IPA and said, "Which one is the red? Huh, this one is more red than the Red!" We ended up leaving some cash on the bar and getting out of there.

Service. Wow. I'd have to agree with the previous poster about the terrible service here. My girlfriend and I went here in the middle of dinner service on a Tuesday. The place was not very busy, less than half full on the bar side and essentially no one on the restaurant side. We waited 5 minutes by the hostess station without acknowledgement from anyone so we left. As we walked to the car, a waitress opened up the front door and yelled for us to come back. Didn't happen. Food and beer here may be very good but I'll never know.
