Service was very good. Although the waitress appeared to be pretty young, she was very good at her job and came around several times to give drink refills and ask if we needed anything. I had the half size turkey manhattan, and my husband had the full size beef manhattan. Despite being a half size, my meal was actually pretty big, with two slices of bread, an ample portion of meat, and a large scoop of mashed potatoes, and corn on the side. The meal tasted good, and I thought the prices were very reasonable.

Service is always friendly and fast. Food here is great, and I love that they have outdoor seating! I eat here frequently with my parents on a sunny day

Probably closer to a 3 1/2 based on my first visit and I would definitely like to go back to get a more varied experience. This rating is broken down into two parts because they vary greatly to get to this average score. The food was very good and probably a four. I had the breaded pork tenderloin and French fries. Both were very good and obviously made fresh which is always a plus. The service on the other was not great. All of the seating inside was full so we ended up sitting outside. I think this may have been why the service was slow and why I don't want to totally knock them for it until I have another chance to see if maybe inside is better.

It's an atmosphere that encourages laughs and fun conversations. Such kind serving, and they check up on you to make sure you're enjoying your meal. They also threat every guest that walks through the door like family.

We went for Tenderloin Tuesday and this was the best place to go in my opinion! The tenderloin was big, juicy, and tasty! The corn dog appetizer was good and we got the sugar cream pie which was a perfect ending to our meal. Our waitress kept our drinks filled and was super attentive even though the place was packed. Parking might be a little bit of an issue weekdays at lunch, but they have spots in front and at nights you can use the lot next door for free.

I only heard about this from a friend when I asked her suggestion about the best place to go for Tenderloin Tuesdays for Hamilton County. It was the last Tuesday, some how we missed all of them, but we just had to go. For the special you got a huge sandwich, fries, and pie for one price! The tenderloin was very large. I should have gotten the smaller one. It was probably the best tenderloin I have had in awhile. I got the fried one and it was tender and easy to eat, yet a bit crispy on the outside. We really enjoyed the pie! It was sugar cream pie and we each had our own cute plate. I love stuff like that. My little saucer was the exact same my grandma had! A Corelle one. It was fun to reminisce while we ate our pie. I love how Courtney's is decorated, it was a little loud even though it wasn't super busy. Our waitress was super attentive. You can park in the lot next door for free after certain hours like nights and weekends. There is a sign. Otherwise there were a few places in front.

This place is like taking a trip back in time! Love the decor, the warmth of the staff, and the breaded tenderloin! WOW! I never felt rushed to order, not to pay my check. My server was fantastic, and the service was great! The hand-cut french fries were so good! The tenderloin is in my Top 10 favorites of all time. Perfectly seasoned, with a nice peppery taste that was not overwhelming. Even the bun was top-notch! The sugar cream pie was AMAZING! Homemade flavor and texture. I will be back, again and again!

Really good meals. I really don't know why we go more often. Hamburger was excellent and my brides chicken wrap was excellent as well. Fountain drinks are mixed perfect. Nice to see someone is not trying to save a penny a drink.

I had the Special of the day the meatloaf sandwich. I didn't find anything special about it. This had to be the worst meatloaf I have ever had. It was over baked, hard, and dry. The best part of the meal was the Green beans but the portion was very small about two teaspoons full.

In my experience, this place was good, but "knock your socks off" good. The breaded tenderloin was pounded out way too thin for my liking...it was about the thickness of a cracker, it seemed. Yes, it was tasty, but not outstanding. I prefer a little thicker piece of meat. (That's what she said). The onion rings were really, REALLY good. I'd not hesitate to order those again, they were fabulous! The sugar cream pie was....well, it was good, but I've had better. On the other hand, I've had worse. Service was prompt and friendly. We'll drop by for a meal when we're in the area, but probably wouldn't make a special trip there.

The breaded tenderloin is amazing! The best I've had! The peanut butter pie is also very delicious. Friendly family and customer service is always great!
(5)Holly G.
Courtney's is a quaint little place - very clean - prompt and friendly service - average food. Nothing really stood out to me. It was all pretty basic. Certainly not horrible or unacceptable, but just...ho-hum.

Have been wanting to check this place out for awhile and finally got the chance today! Opted for the chicken pot pie soup and it was soooo(is that too many o's?) good!! I loved that I could order a glass of wine and it was mighty fine, from Brown County. The petite tenderloin sandwich was calling my name so I answered and it was worth it! Perfectly crispy, with a nice serving of mustard, no dinky squirt here folks! The hand cut fries? Yep, you guessed it. Wonderful. We tried the Dutch Apple pie, warmed up and a la mode. Is there any other way?! Yummo! Great local place! Now I need to go try breakfast!!

Outstanding food and service! Certainly the best place to have home cooking in a friendly welcoming atmosphere in Noblesville!! Currently eating a restricted diet and they created a meal that met the need! Can't think of any other restaurant that would do that ! Our family has enjoyed this place on every visit! I forgot to mention the homemade deserts (which I shall miss ). The best!

We ate at this place on a weekday for lunch. It was really busy with nearly every table filled and they only had two servers for the entire dining room. I ordered a burger and fries which turned out amazing... But my other half ordered the fish and chips.... Big mistake! The fish was clearly from a frozen package and looked like Mrs. Paul's... When we asked our server about it she said 'Oh, those are one of the few things we don't make fresh'. If you go, order the tenderloin or the burgers... Decent food in a great area. Next time for the money we may try some place different.

This was my first trip here. Beautiful day for a quick lunch in the sun on the patio here. (Certainly won't be tolerable next month.) Not ready to call it a "hidden gem," but there's potential. "Simple sustenance" isn't a very helpful slogan. Made me think they were going to have a kind of Whole Foods orientation to the menu. That's not the case it all. The lineup is classic Hoosier All-American. However, this seems to be more than just warmed-up food from Sysco or GFS. We kept it simple with chef salads, though the bleu cheese dressing was quite good. I think she said they made it there. Salad wasn't remarkable, but it was not disappointing. Good size portion. It's what I would want to get for $7.95. Also tried the breaded tenderloin strips. I've not seen these anywhere else. You'd think it would be more common. Honestly, they were a bit on the bland side with regards to seasoning. I hope they keep working on the recipe. Lots of potential. Good first experience. We'll be going back. Perhaps they'll get more stars.

The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. And the location couldn't be better with a great view of the historic courthouse. Unfortunately, this is all that Courtney's Kitchen offers. "Simple Sustenance" is used loosely. "Simple," is a very accurate description of the bland menu. And "Sustenance" speaks only to the portion sizes. Very disappointing considering Noblesville offers dynamite Italian (Matteo's) and Asian Fusion (Asian Grill) options. In my opinion, the best American Traditional offering is The Local. Their creativity, farm to table strategy, and ambiance warrants the short drive and longer wait.

My husband and I ate here about a week ago and had a great experience! The place is adorable, and our waitress was very friendly. We ordered the spicy meatloaf sandwich and meat lasagna (both from the daily specials) and we're not disappointed! We didn't leave any room for the pie which is supposed to be fantastic, so I'll add to my review once we've been back to try some! Only negative-because everything is homemade, they were out of a lot of items on the menu. So have a back up order ready to go just to be safe.
(4)Fran K.
Got the breaded tenderloin and it delicious. Would recommend. Great service too.
(4)Abbey M.
Second time we have been here and waited for service without anyone even acknowledging you. Then we ordered and 10 minutes later the waitress came back and said she lost our order. She hadn't even put it in yet. This place does very poorly with a crowd.

This is the most wholsome place to eat in Noblesville. They have beer and wine. They make everything from scratch. And they make it quick. If you havent found them, you haven't been looking for a real meal.
(5)Linda M.
I got their spicy meatloaf special. It was spicy because of the jalapeno ketchup. My group began ordering about 1 hr. before their closure and they ran out of their fried chicken special and corn. I volunteered to get the fries so my companion could have the corn with her meal. However, the waitress got confused and switched that change. We ended up splitting the fries and the corn in order for us to try them. Apparently, I had to ask for gravy on my mashed potatoes. I accepted their chicken gravy which still took them a while to deliver. I like my meal; however, the service could have been a lot better. We enjoyed the patio seating while listening to the live music.

Love love love this place. Awesome food awesome service this is my favorite restaurant. THEY ARE AWESOME! !!!!!!

You're plain crazy if you don't try this place. If you love home cooking, family atmosphere, and incredibly personal friendly service - you've gotta try this place. Everything is scratch made down to the large homemade pie selection. The tenderloin is incredible and the pie will change your life. This might be our new favorite eating spot. Well worth the drive to #hipstoric Noblesville square.

Wonderful service. The special was homemade and the sauce was delicious. Family restaurant with a variety for everyone to choose from. Easy parking next to building and outdoor space too.

Okay, so I want to start by saying that I really love to eat local, and finding this place was like seemed super fantastic awesome, especially since they have tenderloin. I have been twice now. The tenderloin is good. Its thin, but its hand breaded and has a decent taste. Their fries are pretty good too. (Fresh/hand-cut) I knocked two stars off because of the frozen food. I like to dine places that do simple things well. I am not super picky about what I eat, but what I eat should be good and fresh. They served us frozen fried mushrooms (at 6.95) that were absolutely gross, and my boyfriend had ordered the fish and chips, and when it came out, sure enough it was frozen fish. It had a bad aftertaste. I feel like if you are going to have a good home cooking, local place, you should just leave the frozen fare out. There are so many options out there that can still be cost effective and the food honestly made me think twice about going back. I would have gladly paid 6.95 for half as many fresh, hand breaded mushrooms (even if they had used drakes or whatever they use on the tenderloin). Aside-I know this is small/nit-picky but it actually bothers me that it says 'please no sharing' on their big tenderloin. I feel like if they had to say that, they should offer a sharing plate/price and add a side because it really is a large sandwich. I think encouraging people to share and not overeat is a good thing. I gave them three stars because the service is pretty good. If it had been sub-par they would have gotten two. Seriously those mushrooms were gross.

We've eaten here four times in the last month; three times for dinner, once for breakfast. First off, we've never had bad service. Servers were always friendly and attentive. Also, we've always felt that the food was fairly priced and that it was of good quality. The meatloaf with a kick, which I've ordered twice was excellent and the beef manhattan was delicious. However, I can't say the same for the side dishes. On my first visit, I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. Except for the really dry mashed potatoes, everything was great. On my second visit I ordered a beef manhattan with corn as a side and the corn was seasoned with garlic! Bleh! Who does that? They gladly exchanged sides and brought me green beans. No problem. We returned tonight for our third dinner service. I ordered the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and, still grossed out from the corn experience, green beans. The meatloaf was excellent and has become my favorite menu item. However, I won't be ordering it anymore because guess what the mashed potatoes were seasoned with....GARLIC!!! When I said something to one of the owners, she said that on the new menus it will mention the garlic in the potatoes. She also mentioned that the potatoes were homemade and that they couldn't make a garlic and no garlic batch. So, why not make the traditional no garlic mashed potatoes that more people will find palatable! Though I didn't press the issue, the two orders of mashed potatoes I was served on prior visits were not seasoned with garlic. She did offer to exchange my side, but meatloaf and french fries don't go together...at all. So, unfortunately until I can have my meatloaf with no garlic mashed potatoes, I won't be returning.

the food was decent, but the service was 'weird' for lack of a better term. one person in my party got the fish and chips, and the fish looked like it was regular ol' frozen fish filets from the store. a couple people in my party ordered alcohol, so the waitress carded them (typical enough), then someone else brought out the drinks and carded them again. when they mentioned that the waitress had already carded them, she person serving the drinks got a bit of an attitude. i saw they were training some people, so hopefully they work out some of their overlaps in responsibilities. i probably wont return except for carry-out.

(Update: 1/21/2012) First impressions can be misleading when I first went here yes it was the best tenderloin I've had but sadly Saturday night I was in for a big surprise I wasn't able to have the french onion soup but I ordered a grilled tenderloin and it was the worst I've ever had the pattie was paper thin having been tenderized way to much, it was also burnt likely because it was so paper thin. My request for Mayo and Mustard was met with not a little but about a cup of mayo and mustard just poured on the bun I can truly say all I was able to taste was char, mayo, and mustard. Sadly it was not a good experience and I doubt I will be back It wouldn't have been a problem if it was just okay or good because then there would be a range but since it was so horrible I will never know If I'm going to get a bad tenderloin there or a good one and that is one of the only reasons I would go there is for the tenderloin. The service was great in the end the others in my party enjoyed their food I would have complained but I've given up when it comes to complaining at restaurants It never really helps in my experience. P.S: just figured out I could update reviews instead of editing the original.

we went one time....my ears are still ringing..very, very loud. We really couldn't enjoy the food because of how loud it was inside.
(2)Jason W.
Very affordable, great "feels like home" atmosphere, nice service and the food was excellent. What's not to like? Home made ice cream and pies are just the icing on the cake.

Down home cooking at its best. There's not much else to say about this place. If you need comfort food, and you're in Noblesville, give this place a try. We took my 91-year-old grandmother there for dinner, and even she who has always made everything herself was impressed. The owner was out in the dining room several times throughout the night serving food, checking on customers, and even cleaning tables. He used recipes that his family has handed down for generations, and it shows. We had several items that were great: ham & bean soup (fresh, tender, smoky ham!) with cornbread, pulled pork BBQ with homemade sauce (though my grandmother did acknowledge that her sauce is better...I have to agree, but only because that's what you do with family), and a fried tenderloin sandwich (voted #1 in Noblesville, though I'd probably expand that geographical reach, they seemed in no need to push any further than their local community...another reason to like them). The fries, by the way, are just like Penn Station - crunchy and delicious. If you only like McDonald's fries, save the $1 upcharge and just get chips. We finished off with two of their homemade ice creams: oatmeal cream pie (are you serious?!) and apple cinnamon. Both were fantasic, but the OCP (they do give it that acronym) was the winner with little chunks of oatmeal cookie and a spicy sweet flavor. The service was okay from our actual server. She was not overly friendly or knowledgeable, but she was prompt. The owners were by our table several times and interacted with us, though, and made sure we were satisfied. Even the second server on duty was happy to help when we needed some extra napkins. Not every place is like that anymore. I would definitely return to try their chicken and noodles and many other savory dishes. It's worth the trek if you don't live in Noblesville, and it should be on your regular list if you do live there. Oh yeah, and it's really affordable too. The entire bill for four of us (there was a kids meal in there too) was less than $50 with tax and tip.

Decent food, good for lunch. Quick and friendly service. Reasonable prices.
(4)Marissa C.
Worst service I've had in years! Waited 50 minutes for our breakfast and the waitress didn't check in with us once. Food was average and definitely not worth the wait. Won't be back.
(1)Brad W.
Go here for Sunday breakfast, it's amazing! Consistently good food.
(5)Jim S.
Excellent home style cooking. Wonderful pan fried chicken, green beans and mashed potatoes with white gravy. Apple cobbler was perfect finish. Have to go home and sleep now :)

OK I have lived in Noblesville for 18 plus years and remember when a good home cooking place was very hard to find! Great news now we have a bunch to pick from. even better news they are all great!! I base my opinion on their breakfast, lunch, and coffee! I'm from Detroit where a good breakfast will make or break you in a heart beat, next you coffee had to be hot and strong at all time of day or night! Courtney's is not a big city place but a home town charmer on all counts. The room is homey with out be to cute, nice art on the walls with a nice mixes of country with the tables and chairs. The food is spot on good and filling, they feed you not fool you. The home made taste is for real in everything they make. I love their pies, they are fresh and made in house! The coffee is the only thing that need help, it is hot and fresh but could be a bit stronger for my taste! Try it you will become a fan! Remember to live well and to eat well, and please no chains!

We went for breakfast and found the service to be incredibly poor and slow. Less than half of the tables were taken, so I wouldn't say it was due to them being busy. It took over 30 mins to get our breakfast which wasn't anything more complicate than toast, eggs and hashbrowns. The waitress never checked on us or our drinks (I had to ask for coffee twice... they finally refilled it after the second time I asked). When the food was dropped off, they quickly left without asking if we needed anything else. Twice when I was able to get their attention and ask for something, they never brought it. We ended up having to get more coffee creamer off another table when they didn't bring it and I even had to go back to the kitchen to get ketchup that they never brought when asked. The food was mediocre and nothing special. we definitely will not be going back. Luckily there are plenty of other great breakfast spots nearby.

the service was great, the food was not. i got the turkey Manhattan and it was way too salty my mother got the chicken salad sandwich she said it was just mediocre. but like i said the service was fabulous they were very friendly!
