Service was excellent, clean, not crowded on a Saturday noon-time. Crab cake appetizers were barely warm; probably needed another few minutes in the deep fryer - kind of gooey inside. The grilled salmon was so-so, a little too done. But the waffle fries are what makes the 4 stars - perfect. The salmon burrito filling was excellent, but the chilled (ok, ice-cold) wrap cooled the filling, so that's kind of not good. Slaw was tangy if you like the vinegar - I prefer the creamy. Quick refills, friendly people - will give it one more shot. Menu selections are way more than I expected.

The first time I visited, it was amazing! Last night though, my date and I were both ill after eating scallops. His were grilled and mine were fried. He was a lot sicker than I was, and this is not acceptable for many reasons. We won't be back here for quite some time. The service is awesome and the atmosphere is fun. I hope this is just a one off thing and I'll try it again eventually but it will be quite a while.

Fresh experience. From the tarter to the lightly seasoned waffle fries, this subtle hidden oasis makes you feel like you are lakeside. It is obviously a local favorite and a must visit for any traveler. They have a full fish menu, even Walleye. Looking forward to returning.

A great lunch spot. I had grilled trout and it was perfect and the portion was generous. The cole slaw was sweet and tasty, too. You order at the counter and then they deliver to your table. Staff also will come by to check on drink refills. Did you know there are other Tin Fish locations in California, Florida and even Minneapolis? I couldn't believe it until I looked it up online. I thought this was just a local joint, though it is locally owned and operated. The staff was very friendly and they have a ton of fish options. I was just passing through town on business, but if I lived in the area I would hit this place up for lunch all the time. I loved that they had 80s music on. I'm not sure if that's an all the time thing, but it should be!

We had a good meal sitting out on the deck. We ordered fried pickles for an appetizer. They are probably some of the best pickles I've had. The clams are great as are the onion rings. The slaw is vinegar based and has very good flavor. The girls are very attentive and kept our drinks filled. If you like fish or chicken strips and don't want a chain restaurant, this is a good alternative.

Great concept; Exceptional delivery; Odd feeling...but I'll get over it! What I mean is upon walking in I was a little taken back seeing the Coca-cola vending cups at tables thinking we were going to some nice fish restaurant that supposedly has a full bar. THEN...sitting there eating and having an overwhelming deja-vu of sitting in mall food courts way back in the day. Having said that...I got over and ended up adoring this place!! The food is decent, the mixed drinks are some of the best in Southern Indiana and the staff is incredibly friendly! My husband ordered a Mahi-Mahi sandwich and I ordered the much bragged about fish tacos (grilled) as well as a cup of "the worlds best" chowder. Now I've been to San Francisco and eaten chowder on the Wharf many times so to say this was the "world best" was a bit off for me, however, my first bite put a GIANT smile on my face and MMMMMM in my belly! My husband and I both loved it and the flavor was amazing. Nice, rich, creamy texture but could have used a bit more clams. The hubs liked his sandwich but was under-impressed with the huge bread roll it came on. Kind of took away from the fish. My fish taco was good but not wow! I'm not fond of the way this area does tacos with flour tortillas and a ton of cheddar on top. That's not a real taco, nor real fish taco for that matter but that is my issue and something I'll always complain about. The fish inside was prepared and flavored perfectly and I ended up just pulling it out to eat by itself. (If you're wondering, I do fish tacos on corn tortillas with shredded cabbage, pico de gallo and cilantro and an avocado tomatillo salsa) As for the drinks...WOW!!! They had a board posted with all of their specials and I went for a mojito hoping for the best knowing that every time I order one in this area I'm usually disappointed. This thing was done as good, or better, that I've ever had. Muddled fresh mint and everything!!! Nice sweet to the tart. PERFECTION! And only $5! Can't beat that! Overall I really liked the place...and so do the locals! The place was packed! Forgot to mention the live acoustic music being played in the "food court" while we were dining. Nice touch!

Stopped in on a gloomy Saturday afternoon. Good fish shack-type place only located in a mini mini-mall. Wanted to try the fish and chips, and they were great. Two sizes, got the small 3-piece for $8.50. Three solid sized pieces, waffle fries and cole slaw. Washed it down with a Tin Man tall boy. How appropriate. Also got the fish taco and it had two nice pieces of fish in it. One taco and some fries would do the job as well. The lobster bisque was heavy on the bisque, light on the lobster but very flavorful, and the price resembles the amount of lobster meat. At least we weren't overpaying for it. Will be back. And definitely try the hot sauce in the generic squeeze bottle. Had a smoky Cholula-ish flavor to it. Same sauce as they put on the fish tacos. Was very nice.

I'm not a seafood fan, but my husband and dad both love it. The Tin Fish is the place to go for seafood fans. I get the chicken taco and waffle fries. Both excellent. My husband raves about the Mahi Mahi, and my dad loves the fish and chips. Nothing is ever the slightest bit greasy, and its all seasoned just right. Great service, very nice people. Great place for a nice family evening.

Good, but not great seafood place. I really wanted to like it--fun decor, personable owner and enticing menu. The fried fish and waffle fries--two specialties--were outstanding and very reasonable. The add ons were not. Chowder very thin and flavorless, crab cake devoid of crab pieces and stuffed with Old Bay. Plastic plates; usually no big deal, but the meals for two of us was $40. We will try again, but this visit fell short.

I cannot say enough about this place. It is the best local seafood business. It has large seating areas both indoor and outdoor as well as party rooms. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The owner is a wonderful person who always greets the customers. The food is outstanding. They have the most amazing fish tacos. They are large and delicious. This place is definitely a must if you are in Newburgh, IN.

The grilled Mahi-Mahi Fish Taco was good-n'-messy. All the ingredients tasted fresh and the sauce was hot enough to be good but not overpowering. The Crisscut (their term, not mine) Fries with seasoned salt were also good. Think Chic-fil-a waffle fries with seasoned salt. The slaw was... different. I don't know what they season it with but it didn't work for me. But hey, who eats slaw. Although it may seem a little pricey- 1 fish taco, fries, slaw and a Coke came to $10.65- I did leave full and satisfied.

The fried platters, calamari, and soups are delicious, but the burritos and tacos are where it's at. Great food and friendly service at a decent price. Best seafood in Newburgh.
