It's time to eat the donuts! No flashy ads... no flashy anything! Honey Creme Donuts is a little hole in the wall cranking out the goods in the back and selling them in the front. This is a traditional bakery selling traditional goods so, no, don't expect the weirdness of VooDoo Donuts in Portland, OR. The donuts are very good but I tell no lie when I say they have the best apple fritters I've ever had. This is a takeout establishment only. There is no room to sit. There is enough room to order and get out. I've been a fan for years and prefer eating my donuts at home while watching an episode of MST3K. CASH ONLY

Honey Creme may look a bit shabby on the outside but as soon as I walked through their doors I could see that their donuts are the real deal. Their selection was impressive and included donuts, fritters, danishes, and even cannolis. The prices were also lower than most other bakeries in the area including Dunkin and Krispy Creme. I ended up taking home a jelly filled donut, chocolate iced cake donut, and an iced yeast donut with sprinkles. The cake donut was so moist it practically melted in my mouth. The white icing on the others was abundant and very sweet. My only regret from my visit to Honey Creme is that I didn't get to sample one of everything but I intend to rectify that soon.

Small and dark donuts shop. I have been here after reading great reviews. Donuts were average at its best. Nothing extra ordinary. Sorry, not my kind of donuts shop.

Great little donut shop. Came here all the time as a kid. Wonderful owners. Kids love the donut holes.

I thought this place was great. I didn't have the doughnuts though. I had a wonderful coconut pie and an amazing eclair that was over filled with Bavarian cream. Not sure where everyone else is going around town to get this stuff because I thought this was great. Not sure why there are a couple of negative reviews. Maybe I'll try the doughnuts next time but I will be back.

I wanted to like Honey Creme more than I did. I wanted to have the urge to go park in front of its shabby storefront on Fridays and pick up a couple of dozen donuts for the office and have everyone go, "YAY! Honey Creme!" I wanted to become a regular and have the very pleasant woman behind the counter say, "Morning, Kyle! What'll it be?" But in the end, I just wasn't that impressed with the donuts. They were run of the mill and I would have a hard time recommending them if Honey Creme isn't on your way somewhere. I think they may have stood the test of time simply because, until recently, there was no competition for pastries in New Albany's growing downtown.

Oh my God, this has to be the BEST place for donuts on the planet. We got a sampling of different donuts. The powdered donut just melted in my mouth, it was pillowy soft. The chocolate donuts were out of this world. The apple fritters and donut holes were extraordinary. They make the donuts right there. The ladies in the store were super friendly. One of them is a Cubs fan. This is the best donut shop I've visited in my life.

Fantastic! Everytime I come home I stop by. Donuts are inexpensive and delicious. Love this place! They've been around for more than 30 years for a reason.

So I (Bert) search the world for donuts ... its just what I do. I actually was unable to find any reviews for donuts in Louisville, KY. When I did a Google search for 'best donuts Louisville' this place came up with a great review. It started out great. Off the beaten track in New Albany and a dive look to it out front. The woman behind the counter was nice and very amused by our journey there. The cases were filled with a nice selection of donuts and pastries. Even though there were only two of us (Bert and Ernie) we ordered about eighteen things to try. The box was over run with banana danish, apple fritters, glazed donuts, twinkie cream filled donuts, jelly donuts, creme filled donuts, Long John donuts, and coconut topped donuts. Then we grabbed a large milk and water and the whole thing came to $17.50 - a nice price for sure. Once in the car we opened the box up and dove in. There wasn't one item that was original (like VooDoo Donuts in Portland, OR) or tasty (like Old Fashioned Donuts in Chicago: read dana d's review at yelp.com/biz/old-fashion… ). The donuts are better than Entemann's but that's about it - not worth going out of your way but still edible.
