Edwardo's has to be the best deep dish pizza I have ever had. Good thick crust and great toppings. It takes 45 minutes to make but it is definitely worth it Great Food, Great Service, and Great Company. I highly recommend Edwardo's to anyone in the Munster, Indiana area!

Great thick huge pizza. My husband didn't like the crust. I liked it. It's so thick and huge it takes 45 minutes to cook so don't be in a hurry it takes time. I also had the basil, tomato salad. So yummy. He had the cheese bread. It was okay. The waitress was nice and made sure we were taken care of.

In Northwest IN Edwardo's is the place for the best deep dish, especially the spinach! Too die for. However, don't think that's all Edwardo's is about. Their thin crust is great too. If you're a fan of anchovies ( which I know most people aren't) they have an excellent anchovy pizza. Good appetizers too the spinach cheese bread is great, cut into nice bite sized portions. I don't even make it home with these! If I have to say something negative, sometimes the deep dish is cold in the center from their ovens not cooking it thoroughly. And you have to cut the deep dish yourself when you get carryout.

One of the few dip-dish pizza restaurants in the Hammond/Munster area. I'm a fan of Edwardo's. However, their appetizer menu at their Munster location is extremely limited. No cheese sticks, wings available for order. Only bread. Also, on New Year's Eve I ordered a pizza for pick-up. It wasn't until I got home that I realized the pizza was not cut at all. Just one humungous pie in its entirety. When I called Edwardo's to inquire as to why the pizza was not cut, the lady told me that the customer must request the pizza to be cut into slices. Common sense tells you that the average eater of pizza, whether it's New York pan pizza or Chicago deep dish, eats their pizza in slices. At the very least, please ask the customer whether they prefer to have their pizza pre-cut or left alone.

Good pizza, different from Gio's or Lou's - the sauce was delicious and they use a different type of cheese so it's a nice change of pace. Got a large cheese and a small sausage - both were very good.

If it's carry-out pizza I want, it's Edwardo's I get. Their thin crust 'Ed's Special' is probably the best pizza you can get in the Region. Toppings are extremely generous and the amount of cheese they pile on is almost comical. Deep dish is fantastic too, especially spinach. We don't dine-in often, so I can't give an honest assessment on their service. The atmosphere has never screamed FUN. But if you want an excellent pie to bring home on a Friday night, this is the place.

We ordered takeout for our office this week because we wanted to have something special for lunch. The menu online was not the menu available for lunch; it was a very condensed menu with limited options. We ordered at 11:30AM and was told it would take 60 to 90 minutes to get there! The food was just awful. We all ordered salads and they were not fresh and had cheap, wilted vegetables in them. All of us (4) ate separately and none of us ate more than a few bites. We called to tell the place how disappointing our food was---was told the owner would call the next day. He/she did not. There is really nothing redeeming about ordering here-very limited menu, long wait time for delivery, and poor customer service. Go somewhere else.

(sigh) One of the very worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. I have been to this place TWO times in the past week and the service was very iffy the first time, the second time disgraceful. The first time i went , it was 2:30 , and i was very excited considering Edwardos is my FAVORITE pizza and i live in the south suburbs so traveling all the way to Chicago isn't so fun. The First time i went was just okay. Not bad, Not good. The Food Was excellent though! But the second time was absolutely terrible. My Hubby , My friend, and I were out for black friday and we decide to go get pizza because we all were hungry and i knew this was best place to quench it at the time. We get there and its full pretty much. As soon as we walk in, i go up to the counter and ask for a table for three. We go sit down at an open booth, and as we sit some old lady just stares at us when we sit and even turns around to look at us. Whatever. The waitress comes and asks what we want to drink , my friend orders and i don't. i order the Edwardos Special w/NO MUSHROOMS. and i repeat it. She says okay , Takes The order to the kitchen and that's that. I notice that Every single table has bread on it but ours. and i see other waitresses bringing out bread to people. Wtf? After 5 minutes i decide i should make the pizza larger and it was already in the oven, so i order a small stuffed. As time goes by (about 20 Minutes or so) she brings out the pizza and it has mushrooms on it(alot of them) I already wasn't feeling well so my hub and friend go up to tell them about the pizza. They only got 3 word answers and they didn't even act like it mattered that she messed up the order. The WORST part is when they were walking back to the table, my hubby SAW the chef withOUT gloves , whip his nose on his hand, and then puts his hand BACK IN THE PIZZA DOUGH. -_______- They come back to the table and the waitress comes up with and attitude saying "Do you want me to remake it or just take it off the bill." with absolutely NO apology. I say just take it off. She walks away . My hubby and friend decided after seeing the chef contaminate the dough they want to leave. So before we left, my friend calls over another waitress to ask her about speaking to a manager . "Is the manager here?, Because I'd like to speak with them." "No not at the moment." "Well , Who is your supervisor? "Joe." "Can I speak to him please?" "he's not here." "Well, Who's in charge?" "The Other Waitress." "can i just speak with her then?" She says okay and walks away. Meanwhile, My friend said he saw the girl walk in the kitchen and just talk about it with attitude and hand gestures , while the waitress that served us gave him dirty looks. At That point it was the final straw and we got up and left immediately. So disappointing, the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Whats even worse is this Edwardos was my 2nd Favorite after the Lincoln Park location. I dint even know if i will ever give this place a chance again. for now, its to Lincoln Park i go.

This stuffed (deep dish) pizza literally tastes like an Italian grandma made it for you out of her kitchen. I am the biggest fan of perfect sauces, and theirs is a chunky fresh tomato taste that isn't over seasoned. The crust is warm and slightly crunchy, not too difficult to chew the outer edges. They served it to us too soon without letting it sit, so when it was cut the toppings started to slide, which was why I gave it 4 not 5 stars. We ordered spinach, pepperoni, half garlic and half black olive. Beware of the garlic, because it's thin slices of whole garlic on top, pretty intense. Overall though, excellent true Chicago deep dish.

I love this place because their deep dish is amazing!! I always get the pizza to go because there is so much cheese on there it is somewhat embarassing eating it in front of others. Also, I love to stuff my face and really don't want others to see my inner animal attacking the pizza. Just saying. I love the fact that they offer a whole wheat crust but my general feeling is that if you are having a deep dish pizza, just go all the way. Mow my favorite part, the cheese.... eat the pizza while it is really hot or wait for it to cook because if it is in the middle area, you are likely to choke on the cheese. YUM! The sauce is amazing, most other places in the area are known for sweet sauces. DISGUSTING! The sauce here is amazing! The perfect balance of natural sweetness and tang.

The best stuffed in the area. The ingredients don't seem to be as fresh as the Hyde Park Location, but it's still good. The option for whole wheat crust is great. I went to dine in for stuffed...45-50 min wait for my mouthwatering meal. Up walks the waitress to tell us that they accidentally boxed up our pizza and gave it to someone for carry out. She even asked if we wanted to wait for another one. Ha! The server felt really bad, but her sorrow didn't warm my belly. I still left there hungry. Mistakes happen, I'd still go back, for carry out only though.

I moved away from "the Region" back in 1997; and ever since then I have not been able to find "stuffed" deep dish pizza that is anywhere close to being as good as Edwardo's. Fortunately, my brother still lives a couple of blocks from this place and I can go there anytime I visit him. The prices are reasonable and the food is mmm.... quite filling. Try the stuffed pizza with spinach and mushrooms. You can get full off of one slice and the sauce is uniquely sweet and the cheese is unbelievably stringy. The decor is typical for a restaurant in that part of the country...nothing fancy...but who cares. The place is usually packed on Friday and Saturday nights, filled with heavy-set people who look like they eat there alot, although there are alot of "big people" in Northwest Indiana.

You know what's pretty awesome about Edwardo's Pizza? I haven't had it since, like, 8th grade when my older sister worked at the now defunct location in Libertyville, but it's still exactly the same...Mindblowingly excellent. Consistency is key. This location is an absolute dump. However, if you've read my reviews, you'll realize I have no problem going to the shadiest locations ever in pursuit of good food. Don't let the kind of icky decor deter you from enjoying this pizza. The lunch special is CRAZY cheap. For $6.29 you get a soda, a salad and a personal pizza with one topping. A ridiculously large amount of food for what equals the amount of spare change that is probably rolling round in my car? Excellent. The pizza...ZOMG. Edwardo's seasons their crust something fierce so every bite is delish. I also enjoy the fact that Edwardo's doesn't get hog-wild with the spinach. It's there, but not overwhelming. When the check came, three meals totaled to just a few cents over $20. My sales rep, manager and I looked at the bill and actually laughed. $20? Are you kidding? You could eat out every day on welfare at Edwardo's! This place is awesome.

Every time I travel through Chicago I make it a point to get a stuffed pie. Sometimes it works out great, sometimes not so much. Unfortunately, I found my Edwardo's stuffed pie to be a huge disappointment. The texture was good, the ingredients seemed fresh. The problem is they lacked flavor. My wife agreed that it just didn't hold a candle to the pie I picked up last time through from Spuntino's, a bit west of O'Hare (also 4-stars on Yelp). And don't get me wrong, I'm no food snob. I like bad Chicago pizza, it doesn't have to be awesome to get 5 stars. The toppings were bland - I'm not sure how sausage can be bland, but it was. The crust was okay. The cheese was okay. The sauce was okay. I guess that sums up how I felt about their stuffed pizza... It was just okay (for $25+ per pie!).

Pretty good, nice Chicago style BIG pizza's. Co-worker got a mini, it was still huge. We ordered some others for work. The regulars were enormous and still one more size above them. I got a thin crust Hawaiian. It was very good with a balance between sauce, cheese and meat.

Honestly I think there is better stuffed pizza in the region but Edwardo's is OK. What they do well is spinach so get your deep dish with spinach. The spinach mozzarella garlic bread is awesome. The spinach ravioli is what I eat instead of the pizza. Service is hit or miss. Been going there for years and I can't think of a particularly bad or good service incident.

Living in NWI, the Chicago-style pizza giants (eg Lou Malnati's, Giordano's, Uno, etc) are not present in the area. We just got a Gino's East in Highland, IN last year, none of the others mentioned previously are around (unless you count the Uno Chicago Grill, which I certainly do not), and the locals are hit or miss when it comes to deep dish/stuffed pizza. But I am grateful that Edwardo's has always been around... My favorite will always be Giordano's, but Edwardo's is close second. And this location does it well. It's like Edwardo's is Giordano's extra-cheesy cousin, which is exactly what sometimes hits the spot...Mmm...Melty.... I've been to this location numerous times and the service has always been great. We've had the same server the last two times for our table of 5-6 and she's been lovely...I just wish I remembered her name to give a proper shout-out! Always keeps us updated with the pizza status (remember, stuffed takes 45 minutes!), keeps our drinks filled as well as our cracker-appetizer things...Never had a bad experience at this place...It's pretty plain and simple inside, but I won't hold it against them...Great food, great service, 5 stars!

Boy this place is hit or miss. Tastes like every other Edwardo's - very good thin crust and pasta as well. Great lunch special. But the place is a dark mess and the service was confused and slow.

Leslie S.
Really not good. We got a thin crust b/c we didn't want stuffed and the sauce was terrrible. Processed for sure with tons of dried oregano...just bitter and no tomato flavor whatsoever. I just don't get it. I don't remember their stuffed sauce tasting like this but it's been a while. Won't be back. Also, way too much cheese (usually not a bad thing but quality lacking)...maybe trying to hide that crappy sauce. Very dissapointed.

As I have said before there are lots of Pizza places ( none of them are to die for!) in this area and they all have there own little flare that sets them apart. Edwardo's take on it is the quality of the "ingredients" .......I have been here on numerous occasions with friends. It is not that its so bad you cant eat it but more of a its just nothing special kind of place. Its expensive as far as pizza goes and its just more of the same old same old! I love it when people describe it as amazing ect... I guess I just don't get it and hopefully you will have better luck with enjoying it than I have......

It was not that great. The only plus is that you have the option of wheat crust. The frozen spinach pizza from the grocery store was better and half the price!

This was one of the best places to get a stuffed pizza in the past. Yesterday was my last time going there. I went on Sunday at 6:30pm and only one other couple was in the restaurant. The place used to be packed but maybe some of the new restaurants popping up are taking business. When we go into the dining room the floor is a mess. You would think that three servers with only one customer would have the place clean but you can tell that this wasn't that a customer left and they were cleaning up but it had been dirty for a while and they just decided to clean. We ordered a pizza and some cheese bread. Cheese bread was edible. Not good nor bad. I was on my way to the washroom and noticed that no one was in the other side of he building and when I looked behind the glass and saw more tables in back and the owner (I think, I've seen him in there every time I go) and he was doing some paperwork but no one was seated there either. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned in some time as there was a bathroom vent above the stalls that had about two pounds of dust stuck in there and one of the toilets hadn't been flushed and there was water on the floor. Short version...it hadn't been cleaned recently in the day. Got back to the table and the pizza was there. Cheese was melted nice and when I bit into it the pizza was barely warm. I pulled the crust away and saw that the dough was still raw/uncooked and then scrapped some of the bottom crust and it wasn't done there either. I lifted the pizza up and the bottom of the pizza wasn't a golden brown it looked the same like it hadn't baked. I sent the rest back for them to cook it and they did take $6 off of the dinner. The cook said that if they open the oven the heat may have escaped but this looked like it was cooked at some low temperature and wasn't even browned. When I got home I checked the pizza and it was the same. I ended up having to cook the pizza in my own oven for about 15 minutes at 450 and it was fine then. Place has gone downhill and it's dirty. I used to go there for a personal stuffed pizza for lunch all the time but switched jobs and this was my second trip back since then. It will also be the last.

I am hooked on Edwardo's pizza. The luncheon special is pricey (for lunch) but terrific - a small pizza and salad for around $8. If you dine in, it includes the crispy-crackery things and a drink which does make it a bargin. Staff runs hot and cold - sometimes friendly, sometimes not. The newly renovated dining room is lovely. Call ahead - WAY AHEAD - for delivery or carry out. They start taking lunch orders at 9am!

i havent had Edwardos in quite awhile....not sure why but just one of thoise things....but let me tell you i have missed this place... i think i was in 8th grade visiting an aunt in rodgers park when i had my first edwardos pie....i still remember my reaction when i heard her oredering SPINACH on a pizza....14 yo's dont do spinach lol... but not to be rude i gave it a try and OMG i have been hooked ever since....and then having them open a place in my little corner of the world made me a very happy girl... so saturday me and some friends were at a wine tasting at Santori's Liquor store...and someone mentione lets get pizza and although Beggars is right across the street....we decided on Edwardos....we placed a call and ordered a large stuffed spinach....seated right away when we got there and in a short 20 minutes our pie was placed down in front of us..... it was as wonderful as i remembered....hot gooey cheese, tasty sauce and filled with spinach....a little pricey, about $25.00 for a large, but worth every yummi bite... great friendly service....beers and pizza for four got us out of there for around $50.00 ( yah ok beer after a wine tasting so shoot me lol ) it was like finding a long lost friend.....Edwardo? i hope i dont forget you again....

I vividly remember the first time I went to Edwardo's. I was probably about 7 years old, and I was so amazed by the huge slice of pizza in front of me that I took a huge bite too quickly... and the cheese was in my mouth, down my throat, and stuck to the pizza at the same time. Chicago-style deep dish lovers will know that this happens. Now, I live in Chicago right around the corner from a Giordanos and not far from a Lou Malnati's, but I still crave the Edwardo's from Munster. Simply the best in my opinion!

Good Pizza and probably better Ravioli. They gave my girlfriend and I our own cozy personal space to enjoy ourselves comfortably in a booth, and in our own little area where there was no awkwardness in talking in private. The salad is pretty tasty also.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Amazing pizza! One of my favorite places for Chicago style Deep Dish!

Pretty good deep dish, I had a pepperoni and also tried the spinach. I'll probably be back to try something new.

This place has great pizza, especially deep dish, but it takes forever and is quite expensive. I save this place as a special treat for when I have the time and extra money to spend.

(3)Leslie S.

If you like thick, stuffed pizza, then this is the one.

Friggin Eh!!!! I got a job there just so I could learn how to make Chicago style pizza..... Their pesto is to die for.....
(5)Guy K.
You know the saying, a fish stinks from the head down....that's this pizza place! Gooey, tasteless, and undefined. I've been to the other Edwardos in the city, and this guy does not have it down. Give me Uno's anyday!
(1)Trish N.
One of my top places to go for pizza in NW Indiana. Not much else I can say ... heh! I like the chips they put on your table as an appetizer too. ;-)
(5)Elyse K.
