This is my favorite pizza place! We are moving to Munster soon and we are most excited about this restaurant being so close. All Aurelios aren't equal but this one is definitely one of the good ones. Try one with double pepperoni. The bread sticks are awesome. It reheats well too since the pizzas are so big you will have left overs. The pizza has a light sweetness to it that isn't over powering and the crust is delicious. It's a little pricier then 'Pizza Hut' but you get what you pay for.

Pizza crust was soggy and pizza was salty. Not to mention I got sick the next day! We wanted to try something different but was not worth it at all.

I wavered on the stars for this review and I think it deserves comments in three areas: 1. The pizza: the boyfriend loves it, I hate it. We've ordered the thin crust before, which definitely lives up to its name, but tends to come with a pool of grease on top from both cheese and pepperoni that is more than I think is acceptable for most pizzas. The sweeter pizza sauce doesn't do it for me, either. Not what I'm looking for in a pizza - I'd give it a 2, the BF would give it a 4. 2. The other food: We always order mozzarella sticks or bread sticks, which are heavenly even when the order is to-go (sometimes the temperature changes/waiting times are hard to manage with fried bread and cheese). We both ordered a calabrese - which I think is referred to as a calzone everywhere else? - on our last visit, which was good but should come with marinara sauce on the side for dipping. The prices seem to be unreasonably high for those, too. The small is a fine size but if you get anything other than spinach and cheese, you're looking at $13+. I'd give it a 3-4. 3. The service: Horrible. Carry out hasn't ever been an issue but we recently went to the restaurant on a week night and it went from okay to bad pretty quickly. There were 2 other tables filled when we got there and we all had the same waitress. Getting drinks and ordering wasn't terrible, but rather perfunctory. It took a long time for the calabreses to come out; mine didn't have the sausage I ordered on it; the extra marinara took 10 minutes to bring by; and we hadn't touched our plates in at least 10 minutes when the manager had to go tell our waitress, who was sitting in a booth in a different area, that it looked like we were done. Also, I saw the waitress's butt crack on more than one occasion - not the vision I want when I'm eating. The result? 3 stars, but that's really just me being generous to my boyfriend. I'd give it a 2 with the caveat that if it's going to be anything more than that, you have to do delivery or takeout and order the calabrese.

We had the stuffed crust pizza with spinach and mushrooms! It was good! The toasted ravioli were good too. I just wish the toasted ravioli would have had some kind of white cheese (mozzarella or Monterey Jack). But over all a good place.

Best thin crust pizza in NWI. I have always loved eating here mostly always delivery. This pizza is known for it semi sweet sauce that they use. It is on the pricier side for pizza but I always pay it because it is one of my favorite thin crust. I have also tried other chains and they are all very consistent in quality.

Came to this place because I was staying down the street for work. The pizza was good, but my server was excellent! Not only did she apologize to me for being busy (not a bad thing, maybe under-staffed) but comp'd me an item for having to wait. I wish I had gotten her name so I could give her props for being awesome, (all I remember is she had shorter black hair, and super sweet!) I am not shocked at the other reviews since it did seem there wasn't enough servers for the amount of people, but this girl was running her backside off! I guarantee I will be back, should I have to come back to Indiana in the future!

Bada Bing Bada Boom! as always with pizza joints in this area I have to give me review disclaimer: there are lot of pizza places in the area. None of them are to die for. They all have there own little slant on pizza pie try them all until you find one you like and stick with it. Aurelios is one of the better ones if you like the thin crust like I do I also like there sauce its got a little zing to it. the cob salad is pretty good and over all enjoy this pie! If your dining in take the few extra min. and drive over to Homewood to the original location its a fun place to grab a pizza or if you eat at the munster location it pretty much tastes the same just less of a drive for me. Bread sticks are good to! they do seem to take there time at either place but its nothing to keep you from going and enjoying it......

The pizza is always very good but the wait staff always seems under staffed. Took 10 minutes tonight for our waitress to come to our table and then another 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We could tell she was busy but it was only 5:30pm. Pizza was excellent!

It had been nearly a decade since I'd eaten at Aurelio's and volunteered Aurelio's when my parents suggested pizza during a recent visit. The pizza is as awesome as I remembered: the deliciously sweet sauce with that elusive spice combination was in full effect. That said, if Yelp allowed separate ratings for food and service, I'd give the food 4 stars and the service/ambiance 0. Unfortunately, we chose to head there on a Saturday in the summer, which apparently meant that every person from age 5 to 45 in the area who happened to be celebrating a birthday was doing so there. This meant that there were kids EVERYWHERE, screaming like maniacs--and their guardians weren't much quieter. I get that it's a "family pizzeria," but the decibel level was intense. Equally annoying was that our server was so swamped dealing with large parties that she pretty much forgot we existed. However, because I enjoy bizarre juxtapositions, I was very pleased that all of the TV screens in the place were tuned to some Access Hollywood-type show doing a special report on plastic surgery. There's something so right about watching a woman have her thighs lasered or her breasts implanted directly above a young girl opening presents. But since I don't imagine most customers have the same sick sense of humor as I do, I'm betting from the looks on a few patrons' faces, that most were pretty disgusted to watch fat get sucked through a tube while they ate their pizzas. So, yeah, next time in the area and craving Aurelio's, I'll order carryout or delivery to spare my eardrums the screeches of children and adults with absolutely no manners.

Totally concur with the KID factor. The ambiance in THIS Aurelio's is HORRIBLE ageeing with others. Sound seems to AMPLIFY throughout the room and get louder and louder. Any visit to THIS location has always yielded LOUD KIDS. Not a RELAXING place to kick back and eat or have an adult beverage. HELL you NEED an adult beverage to deal with the UN-NEEDED - UN-WANTED dining room drama here.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
