Not a bad little place. One of those sort of hodge-podge places where you can get Mexican, Greek, burgers, breakfast, or even stir-fry. I went with the dinner special of a gyro, fries, and coleslaw, added in a side of cheese sauce. The gyro was good. While they were sort of smaller than what I was used to from my usual place in Chicago, but they were still a good size. The tzatziki sauce was good, the addition of the feta was great. The fries were good, decent potion. Coleslaw was, meh. But I don't really like coleslaw. Cheese sauce was good. Overall the meal was good. There was only one waitress for the dinner service, and she is waitress, hostess, and cashier. But the place wasn't overwhelmingly busy, so it wasn't a bad thing. Overall, I'd come back for the gryo, might do a platter though.

We saw a billboard for the place on our way into Muncie one day, and because we watch way too much Futurama we immediately started making Viiiiictor (season 2, episode 10, "Put Your Head on My Shoulders") jokes. We also, however, vowed that we needed to try the place as soon as practical, because gyros! We finally stopped by last weekend. It was a quiet time of day, and as CK A. noted, there was one person being run ragged doing everything, but she was friendly and made recommendations when asked. We got the tacos (pork al pastor, chicken, and another pork, if I recall correctly) and the burrito and split it all between us. The tacos were similar to what we've seen in Chicago--just a little bit of filling, enough to be able to fold the tortilla without stuff spilling everywhere, with lime and hot sauce on the side. They were very tasty, if a little dry. The burrito was humongous (as the waitress had told us) and was a pretty significant meal even split between us. It was good, but not as awesometastic as the chicken and rice burrito at Roast Beef Fast Food. Overall we enjoyed our experience and want to come back to try the gyros and breaskfast.

It wasn't very busy and it was a good thing too. there was only one waitress who was also the greeter who was also the cashier. She disappeared in the back for awhile, so she might have been the cook too for all I know. Nice salad bar. They don't keep it very full, but they keep it fresh that way. Good sandwiches and specials. They serve breakfast, but don't open until late which seems kind of silly to me..

Mary B.'s review below is right on the mark. Having moved to Muncie from Chicago, I was sad that I could not find authentic Mexican tacos anywhere - most "Mexican' restaurants serve the Americanized variety. If you don't know what I'm talking about, stroll down to Victor's and get some. Corn tortillas, onions, cilantro, lime wedges.... Lengua (tongue) are my favorite, with pastor (seasoned pork) a close second. The gyros are also very good. Beyond that, they have everything else you'd expect from a fairly standard American diner on the menu. ... It is locally owned, and Victor is a really nice guy! ... SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS (and get a really excellent taco too!)

Gyros and pancakes to be had without a Greek in sight! Formerly a Donatos and Skyline Chili, this place is much needed addition to Muncie's midWestside. All your basic burger and pancake fare is present, but the gyro was the missing link from Muncie to civilization. I had one of each. Gyro, served dine-in, came wrapped in foil, no garnish. Moist lamb and whatnot topped with a bit of onion and less tomato and a smear of tzatziki on a hot pita. It's all I wanted. The pancake was just that. There wasn't a single ala carte pangcake option, but that didn't faze me or our server. She charged me for an English muffin. The menu is laughably bad, but that's always half the fun. Order of pita dread, please! Mexican linecooks, tidy bathrooms, lotsa parking, and hopefully later hours in the future will make this joint popular with the insomniac Family Kitchen set of our salad days. It's across from Taco Bell and all that sht, so you've no legitimate excuse for not knowing where it is. Next time, I'm gonna have rib tips and French toast. Because I rule.

I've probably driven by this place a thousand times in the year and 2 months I've lived only a few blocks away in Muncie, but never paid any attention to it, as I'm not a gyro fan. But they recently put up a big sign advertising their breakfast specials, and that got my attention, so after finding one good review here, the missus and I thought we'd give it a try. We were a little surprised to see how late they open: 8am on Saturdays (and I guess Sundays), and 9am (!) on weekdays. But our breakfasts were quite good. I got the 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and 2 strips of bacon, and they were all pretty decent. The bacon isn't the best I've tasted, but it was far from the worst. The scrambled eggs were cooked just right, and the pancakes were on par with IHOP (I like them much more than Sunshine Cafe's, where I often go for breakfast). My wife got biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and sausage patties. I tried what she had, and they were all good. The sausage was kinda middle of the road, but the biscuits and gravy were top notch. And this is coming from someone who used to live in the South. It's much better than Bob Evans' and I like the biscuits better than IHOP's. And the prices were very reasonable. We ended up paying a good bit less than we usually do at either IHOP or Sunshine Cafe. Anyway, we definitely plan to go back.
