Mancinos is a great northside eatery. Their pizza is excellent and they have a huge variety of sandwich offerings. One of their best features is their 21 and over bar area with very reasonable priced domestic, import, and microbrewery beers draft and bottle. My only negative comment would be that service can be a bit confusing your first visit. Order at the cash register (unless it's a beer, that's done separately at the bar i think) then they deliver food to your table but you still get your own soft drinks and condiments, napkins, forks, etc at a self service area. Doesn't bother me to do so it's just confusing the first time.

I was familiar with Mancino's from their Richmond location near the Earlham College campus, a smaller and less busy location that served as a regular stomping ground during my seminary days. With an emphasis on, you guessed it, pizzas and grinders, Mancino's in Muncie is a much larger and busier restaurant but still serves up good pizza at a decent price. I had to chuckle when checking out their website that emphasizes "staff is attentive" while also pointing out "Don't come if you're expected to be waited on hand and foot" and referring to itself as a "self-service kind of place." Um, what? Beyond the horrid grammar, it's a contradiction and it's a contradiction that actually lives out in the restaurant. While I don't expect to be waited on hand and foot, after all I don't have feet anyway, there's a casual spirit in Mancino's that may be part of the shtick but it's a little jarring and abrupt. If you're at the Hampton next door, as I was, wheeling involves going alongside a semi-busy road for a few hundred feet unless you can wheel over the grass and jump a curb. I didn't have any trouble making the trip and Mancino's does have a wheelchair ramp onto their sidewalk. Mancino's is located in a small strip center and the entryway leads to a dining area with a small bar area to the left and dining area to the right. They also have a private party room available. There's a counter where you place your order, though nothing actually tells you this (HINT: This means no table service). There's a huge menu on the wall, essentially a listing of their specialty pizzas and grinders. It's not made clear on the menu, but you can sort of "build-your-own" and the price is reasonable. I ate a 9" sausage pizza plus unsweetened iced tea for under $10. As has been noted, refills, even in-house, are not free. While I didn't sense the staff paying particular attention, they use refills to raise money for charity and request $.25 per refill with an honor bucket on a counter. While I love that they support charity, it would be an awful lot nicer if THEY supported charity instead of expecting their customers to give in their name. The pizza is good. It's consistent with the Richmond location. I have no idea if this is a true chain and it's not really indicated on the Muncie location's website. I enjoyed it and had no problem finishing the 9" on my own but I had also just wheeled nearly 30 miles. I did get a refill and since I have a guilt complex threw in my quarter. The dining area is fairly wheelchair friendly, though it's definitely a somewhat tight fit and I could easily see some challenges arising if they had a full house. They had a decent crowd on this night, but it definitely wasn't full. They also serve domestic and import beer and are active Ball State supporters with a strong sports theme throughout the casually decorated restaurant. While service is VERY casual, I do get the sense that someone genuinely needing help would likely get it. I can't say I found the staff particularly friendly, though the guy who dropped off my pizza at least spoke, but they did have certain customers they seemed to know fairly well. I really wrestled with this review. The pizza was good and I rather enjoyed the atmosphere despite a desire to relax. However, after a long day of wheeling I'd kind of hoped for some friendly faces and really didn't get that here. While they did bring the pizza to the table, dining at Mancino's was more a people-watching experience than a people-connecting experience. I enjoyed Mancino's, especially the pizza, but the next time I'm in the mood for a more human touch along with my meal I'll likely seek a dining experience elsewhere.

This will be the third time I've been to a Mancino's and this was the busiest and best location yet. This one had a bar, as if it was a TGIFriday's or some such. At about 5:30 p.m., it was busy but not full. I ordered a 9 inch Mancino's Pride. It's a bit more expensive at this location and with the small-ish soda, it came to $9.91, squeezing the life out of a $10 bill. It's not horrible, but I noticed that they want you to donate a quarter to refill your drink. It may seem silly, but pressure, mild or strong, is still pressure and need not be applied at all. I filled my drink as far as possible and didn't return for a refill. They have a number of booths and tables, including some 2 seat tables along the outside wall, nearer the parking lot. After a reasonable time, they called my name and I met the worker halfway to get my pizza. It was hot and looked quite nice. There was a reasonable amount of ingredients on it, as you can see from the photo. It was nicely done, crisp but not burnt. I don't usually like the crust to be quite so thin but the taste was quite good. After tables were vacated, no one went to clean them, and being a busy place, they might think that it's okay to ignore them and let the customers sit there but I don't think it's a good way to handle things. I know that they were busy but you can't be too clean in the restaurant business.

I like their nachos. My wife and I usually split an order. All their sandwiches are good, but I am partial to the Italian Combo. I like their "Old Muncie" wall, filled with old signs, ads and even top 40 lists from the Old WERK radio. That was back in the AM radio heydays and the "WERK KREW" knew how to spin those vinyls. I go in that room and I am instantly transported back to a time when the knees did not squeek, I could get up off the floor without making umph noises, and afternoon naps were something that my dad wasted time on. Sign up for their Smartphone club, and you get special offers like half price grinders or four dollars off. You do have to bring the cell phone in and show them though, so don't forget and erase it.

Great food last weekend at Mancinos Muncie. We are already fans from eating at the Calumet City location multiple times. The only suggestion I have would be to get the staff more centered on service with a smile. They tended to be grunters..... All in all, great grinders in a small college town is a gift.

Good grinders but a bit pricey for their size. Sandwich size could be a little larger. Alot of topping and always served hot. Food quality was good. Will be back.

Casual Italian restaurant with a bunch of college student working here. I came here with a group of 18 people, they did not screw up our order. What is quite frustrating is the fact that one of us bit into a fingernail while eating salad. I didn't really make it a big fuss about it, but the cashier promptly refunded the money for the salad.

Food: 2/5 Blech! I got some sort of steak and cheese, the bread was all soggy, the meat all dry and I guess "rubbery" is how I would put it? I'm not too sure, but it was a bad experience, but I will probably give it another chance one day.

Mancino's has nice deals, but their food almost always makes me sick. One gal is particularly surly, though other staff I've interacted with are helpful and friendly. Not the worst food, but not the best either.

Mancino's is great. Price is reasonable and food is good. I'm a vegetarian, I usually just end up ordering a ham and cheese minus the ham. Their grinders (or really, just toasted subs) are great. I've been here several times and their food is always good and tastes fresh. Like I said, I'm a vegetarian so I can't elaborate on how their meat is. But all in all it's great and you can't beat it!

Average food, won't deliver unless you order $30 or more. Poor customer service. Your money can be better spent elsewhere. They won't get anymore of my business.

I really like Mancinos, it's a great little place for a sandwich and a beer if you are into that. They actually have a couple interesting beers on tap. I generally order the Southwest Chicken Salad or the Taco Salad. Pizza is tasty as well, you can order by the slice or by the pie. The grinders look delicious although I've only tried the Veggie, which is really yummy! Service was friendly. Food is not fancy, served in to go containers etc., but it's tasty.

Absolutely terrible! I got the boneless wings. Wow. I'm 99% positive that they were cooked, put in the fridge for a few hours, microwaved, then sold to me for $8! For 6 wings. Wow! Then I asked the manager if I could get something different..I am never one to complain..but this was just ridiculously awful. She told me no, that's what I chose! What!?!? You never question a customer, if there's one thing I know, it's that! Finally, after we argued about it, she said fine what do you want? I said I guess I'll take the Alfredo. And she says, "you should probably taste it first." what kind of manager is so rude to a customer? I have never been treated like that before. I asked to speak to a manager, said no managers are there. This girl was so so do extremely rude, better believe I will be going back. Not to eat, but to talk to that manager! I absolutely don't recommend this place to anyone.

Always a dependable favorite. Pizza's are as good as the best around. I just moved from a city with multiple Mancino's & they are as good here, too. I always take some home to warm up later; its that good, & their other food is to.

We were staying next door at the Hampton and saw this place. We had not had a pizza in some time so we decided to try it since we were in a hurry to go visit friends. Ordered a large Veggie pizza. It was very good with plenty of veggies and cheese. We will have to come back and try some other items because everything smelled and looked so good.

I wish I could rate it 2.5 stars, but I'm gonna go with 2. My fiance has some business in Muncie so we stayed at the hampton inn next door, and unfortunately this is the only place I could walk to to get lunch (except burger king and mcdonalds!) The first day I tried the turkey grinder. It was probably up there with the worst sandwich I've ever had and with the meal it was $8.00, which in my opinion is pricy considering what they give you. The meat was rubbery and it was slimy and the bread was soggy. It was advertised as the "grinder of the day" but the girl never gave me the 10% off.. she was new and it was a matter of 80 cents, so whatever, I didn't complain. The next day, I asked the hotel where else I could go. There's another place I tried to go to but they are only open for dinner, so I was stuck with Mancino's again. I tried the plain cheese pizza (9") for $3.59 I figured if it was terrible I'd just throw it out, at least it wasn't expensive. It wasn't fabulous but based on my first experience I was pleasantly surprised. So if you go there, I would say to try the pizza and steer clear of the grinders.

My wife likes the pizza there, so we end up going fairly often, but I don't much care for it myself, and usually get a grinder. They don't put a lot of meat on their sandwiches, and while I always ask for extra tomato, I almost never actually get it. The people who work there seem nice enough, and one girl at the register remembers my wife's name.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
