Marlene calls it Wolfie's, and who am I to argue with or contradict or in any way harsh one of the most selfless, hardworking, and dedicated residents of South Bend, Indiana? Wolfie's knows a thing or two about breakfast on a Sunday, even if it no longer happens to be Sunday morning when you eat breakfast here. The food is good, although everything can be a bit on the salty side. The portions are large, and the ingredients are very fresh. The service is good, and Wolfie's is generally easy on the eyes, although the chairs had a temporary feeling. We did come not long after they opened, so I'm sure they're still working the kinks out. Despite its newness, there was a communal, welcoming, familiar feel here. Families, couples, friends were spending time together on a cold Sunday afternoon, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Michiana has so many good choices for Sunday breakfast, and Wolfie's adds to the difficulty of deciding where to go. Fortunately, your odds of picking a winner are pretty good. If you do come to Wolfie's, tell 'em Marlene sent you.

Discovered this NEW hidden gem here on Yelp while looking for a breakfast place over the weekend. Stopped in on Monday and the place was empty but NOT because of their food or service. Server was polite and friendly, as was the chef who stopped out to check on me after I was served. I ordered the panchetta & mushroom omelet with pastrami hash. Both were AMAZING! Coffee was hot and served with real cream...nice touch as were the cloth napkins. Locally-owned....new business....give them a try. You won't be disappointed!! *See photo

The food was good and the server was very friendly. The prices seemed to be pretty random, like $4 for orange juice and one of their breakfast items was $19 for a sirloin (which at a steakhouse would be a large meal with two sides). It was unclear if any of the entrees came with sides (the person I was with was not charged for his side but we didn't know that until the bill came and the menu didn't state what was included). The omelette wasn't very large for $9 but it tasted good. It didn't meet our expectations for breakfast - we expected larger portions for the money spent and left hungry.

Loved the chocolate crepes! The restaurant is like a hidden gem, it's easy to miss but definitely worth trying! The service was very friendly. It's a simple, small restaurant with incredible food.

Great local spot for breakfast! Stopped in on a Thursday for a late breakfast and the place was empty. However, I had a delicious Greek omelet with spinach and feta and a side of pastrami hash. Very generous portions. Decor is nothing special, but clean. Nice find!

Best and most tender steak I've had in years. Excellent menu selection with unique offerings. Great prices for higher end breakfast and lunch dishes. Great atmosphere, local chef, brand new menu, fancy yet surprisingly affordable. Delicious!

First time there, was excited to hopefully find a new breakfast spot close to home. After looking at the menu, we found it to be an interesting mix of breakfast and lunch items, however a bit pricey- I've eaten at places in Chicago and been ok with spending $4 for a 12oz glass of orange juice, but here it just seemed silly. I ordered the Wolfie's Benedict and my partner ordered the Spicy Pork omelette. My partner really liked his omelette, definitely was spicy and he liked the pastrami hash that accompanied it. I however wasn't a big fan of the Benedict dish which consisted of smoked salmon and a spinach and onion mixture. Mine was priced at $12 but the smoked salmon mixed with the hollandaise made it salty and I could taste that the spinach came from a can. This dish would've been MUCH better had they used fresh salmon and fresh spinach. Overall, service was ok but will go back to try their lunch menu.

I like what they are trying to do. We were there for breakfast and have only been there once, so this is strictly a first impression review. The waitress could not have been nicer. I like the interior, being more upscale dining than your standard breakfast-lunch nook. But for the price of an upscale breakfast, all four were average at best. All four came cold, and our over easy eggs were definitely over hard. Two of us had the specialty pancakes, one regular pancakes, and the fourth the hash. The pancake breakfasts consist of 3 five inch cakes at a price of 6 to 7 dollars. The were tasty, but again, cold when they got to us. I wish our group would have been a little more experimental and tried more of variety. As a pancake house (which the don't claim to be) this is a fail.

Have eaten there three times now. The food has been excellent and the service has gotten faster each time. I recommend the potato pancakes.

Nice local hidden find. My mother had the Wolf's Benedict. So delicious and came with fried mashed potatoes. I had the blueberry chocolate chip pancakes - delicious! I added a side of bacon which was cooked perfectly. I hope more people discover this place!

The Wolf's Den was an awesome find hidden in a snug little corner of downtown Mishawaka. We had an excellent experience! Their menu was simply laid out but everything sounded delicious so it was hard to choose! So, between the four of us... we tried a little of everything. We had a chicken pesto sandwich with sweet potato fries, a mushroom swiss burger with regular fries, and a breakfast plate with eggs, sausage and toast. The pesto chicken had a little TOO much pesto but the sweet potato fries were to die for and I can't wait to go back for more. The burger was great too. Breakfast was delicious with what appeared to be hand pressed sausages that were just the right mix between savory, sweet, and spicy. We will be back!
