Food is good. Service is terrible. Takes over five minutes to get a diet coke- even when sitting at a table in the bar. We had to ask and wait five minutes for a side if dressing. Also waited an unusual length if time to pay. This was supposed to be a quick lunch.
(2)Brian S.
Food ok. Service horrible. Went for late afternoon lunch and had about 20 min wait. Not too long considering it is a new joint but the service was the most disorganized operation I have seen in some time. Probably my last visit.
(2)Mel R.
First time having dinner there and it was very very good! The steak was cooked well, the service was spectacular and the place is very clean and inviting for all ages and couples and/ or groups. Will be back!

Friendly staff. Food came out quickly. Ribs were decent, mashed potatoes were delicious. Very reasonable prices. Would return.
(4)Mark W.
Don't be surprised if this joint goes out of business. Place is nice to look at from the outside. Once inside, you can figure it out for yourself. The place is DIRTY. Dirty floors, walls, tables, chairs, glassware and dirty employees. I saw more than a few wait staff with dirty uniforms. All that aside, food was cheap, but acceptable for the price point. Won't be return customer though. Gross.

A group of us went to Cheddars and the food was great! Service was even better, our waiter was very attentive and drink refills were brought to the table before our glasses were empty. The food was hot, fresh, and reasonably priced. The chicken tenders were some of the best we ever had and the shrimp were fresh. We also ordered the onion rings at the recommendation of other Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed, they were great. We would also recommend the chicken pot pie, it was delicious. We will definitely be going back!
(5)Carlie D.
They have the best ribs and if you like corn.... Theirs is great! My husband gets the chicken strip meal and I get the full rack of ribs and we split it. It's cheaper than ordering the ribs and chicken meal and you get more food. Overall, the ribs are fall of the bone and the chicken is great too. Good and reasonable place to eat!
(4)Derek B.
Nice atmosphere, service was terrible both times I was there and have had others say the same thing. Food is cheap however.

We went on a very busy Saturday night. There was a wait, but we expected it so no stress there. The service was so so. It took a while to get our drinks, and one of us waited a good 15 minutes for a mojito. They told us they ran out of glasses...what!? I'm not sure how that can happen at such a well established chain. I ordered chicken pot pie and husband had a lemon grilled fish. The food was good. Always enjoy chicken pot pie, and this one was not as salty as they can tend to be. Very nice. My Caesar appetizer was passable, but had a bit too much dressing. Our friends enjoyed their lemon chicken and pasta dishes as well. No complaints from them that I remember, except for the long wait time for a clean glass. LOL All in all it was a fair experience. We won't say no to going here in the future.
(3)Michael M.
For an an appetizer we had homemade onion rings for: $4.79 for a large plate full. You can taste the difference homemade and frozen. The taste is so much better. The two dinners we got were: - Lemon Pepper Chicken / $8.99 - Grilled Chicken Pecan Salad / $8.49 - Coffee - Sodas My mother and I split the meals like we always do. The chicken was very good. It was grilled with sear marks which is what I like. The chicken was very tender and juicy. The meat was not dried like other places ive been to. Since I don't eat Red Meat any more. I tend to stay with chicken fish meals. The Chicken Pecan Salad had the rite amount of ingredients. It was very large and filling. If you want good quality food at a reasonable price this is the place for you.

Cheddar is an interesting concept. The ambiance is quite nice, probably on par with or better than corporate restaurants like TGI Friday's or Ruby Tuesday, but the price is noticeably lower. At the risk of sounding like an elitist, the great value offered tends to attract the kind of crowd that can't usually afford full-service sit-down restaurants. I saw a customer with a wife-beater, shorts, and sneakers. He wouldn't be out of place at Ihop or some other diner, but he didn't fit this supposedly more polished environment. My first visit to the place was a disaster. I don't even remember what I ordered anymore because I was really unhappy. We ordered a couple of glasses of water. Three glasses came, one was visibly cracked, and another had something floating in it. It appeared to be a small piece of lemon, but since we didn't order lemon in our water there's no telling where it came from. We sent the cracked glass back and didn't bother with the mystery piece, because we didn't want to further delay the order. We waited for quite a long time, only to hear the manager told us that there's something wrong with their computer system so our orders had to be recreated and resubmitted. After what seemed like ages we received our food, which was good but nothing to write home about. When it was time to pay, I examined the bill (as I always do) and was surprised at the high price. Upon closer inspection they charged us double for everything, which must have happened when they recreated the ticket in their system, they just forgot to cancel the old one. The only positive thing that I can say is that our server was excellent, and she was genuinely mortified at the screw-ups and kept apologizing to us. We left her a standard tip even though our overall dining experience was terrible. It's the only reason I rate the place a two-star instead of one. I blame the management on this. Two MAJOR screw ups (very late food, wrong bill) and the manager didn't even bother to come to the table again and apologize for the bill. I worked in food service a while back, so I know only a manager can fix a screwed up ticket in the system. Despite knowing about two screw ups, they didn't come and rectify it by offering a discount or a comp. Any one of the restaurant managers I worked with would have taken items off the bill to apologize for this kind of fiasco. Not recommended.

We went here the last night our son was in the NICU and it was a pretty pleasing dinner. When I first saw the menu it wasn't really what I was expecting (more homecooked style than deep fried) but it was definitely on par when it came to the quality I was hoping for. The service was prompt and the staff friendly. Cheddar's is certainly worth a try!
(4)Monique D.
I went to Cheddar's for the first time after hearing a lot about it from a friend who had been before, however, this friend went to a Cheddar's in Nashville, TN - that may be what made the difference. My friend raved about the chicken tenders, but I opted to go with a chicken dish that came with Dijon mustard and mushrooms. I like them both but never had them together and now I know why, those two things don't go together in a meal. The chicken was tender and juicy and my sides were nice, but they could've nixed the Dijon and maybe used a different type of gravy to top the chicken that would actually taste good with mushrooms. Overall, I would go back and this time try the chicken tenders

Stopped in for lunch and drinks. Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. Fresh tasting food with excellent service! Never walk away hungry I bet!!

This place stinks. It's about.7:00 on Sunday, December 28th, 2014. I have just.been seated with my party after an interminable wait. Waiting for a table is no big deal. Waiting for a table while watching empty tables go unused is unforgivable. I don't care how the food is. I'm disgusted with the hostess staff and complete cluster of dining room management that the food will not be able to turn this disaster around. Is there a way to give negative stars on Yelp?!! End of meal now. Didn't think it would possible for the food to be worse than the operation, but they came through for me in the clutch. Stay away from this location if you want to save your time and money
(1)Paul R.
There wasn't anything wrong with this chain restaurant. I had not been there before and it was across the street from where I was staying. I had a steak which was cooked as requested and in general the food was good, not spectacular. Definitely worth a try especially if you like Texas and southern food.
(3)Anthony K.
Go to Cheddar's, right now, and get the chicken tenders! They are perfectly crisp and juicy and even the appetizer (4 pieces) comes with fries, all for less than $7. Every time I have been they have been very busy but we still got a table within 10 minutes. The service depends on who you get, a couple of times we've suspected our waitress was high, (and once saw employees taking drugs in the back parking lot) but other times we get very attentive, polite servers that make you feel like you're at a five star restaurant! Really nice environment, now go eat those chicken tenders!
(4)Joe H.
It was good, enjoyable. Menu was a bit formulaic, but entrees were well cooked, served efficiently, and prices were very competitive. Overall, the group really enjoyed the dinner and we will be back at the next opportunitiy.
(3)Derek A.
You use to get a lot of food for the money but the last few times I have gone they seemed to have got away from that, however, drinks are cheap.
(3)Whitnie E.
Overall, I was really disappointed in my visit. My parents and I sat in the bar, and everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) was filthy and down right grimy. From the drink menus, to the salt shakers, even the backs of chairs, there was a slight film of greasy nastiness that clung to everything. Our waitress was nice enough, but she definitely needed a change of shirt. It was gray with old food stains everywhere. Ew. On to the food, it was alright, better than a Applebee's, but nothing that would blow my mind away. I got the chicken and shrimp with rice and everything was....okay. My dad got the baked potato soup which he said was good and a club sandwich, which also looked decent. My mom got the chicken pot pie which looked pretty good. All in all, I felt like I needed to wash my hands after leaving from touching all the sticky stuff. The food wasn't compelling enough to bring me back..

Stopped in just before closing. I was expecting some issues, but there are not any great late night options in this area. The greeting was excellent. Friendly. I was surprised. The server made me wait a bit longer than I liked, but she was taking care of a big table. I asked for some very specific changes in the food I ordered. Darned if she came through! I was a very happy camper with my "custom" appetizer. From then on, I barely saw her. Oh, her big table was now leaving. I needed a water (my choice of beverage) refill after a few bites. There was nobody to be found. I finished it and waited about another five minutes and my sandwich came out - served by a manager. He asked what I was drinking and I told him. He never returned, and I did not get any water. The food quality was mediocre. At these prices, I understand. As I was just about done with the meal, the server re-appeared. No water in her hand. Ridiculous. This place has suffered this specific reputation from day one: Issues with drink refills. Once a meal is served, you will likely not see your server until the check is presented. If a cheap and varied menu is your priority, it's worth the chance. If service matters to you, stay away!

Recently had lunch here and found this place to be fun! Wonderful atmosphere. I had fish tacos which were very good. Staff was friendly and efficient. Place is brand new and was clean which is a big plus.
(5)Les D.
The music was too loud, they got our order wrong, service was slow, and the quality of the food was just down right poor. There were four of us that went, we ordered 2 ribs and shrimp with loaded baked potato and green beans, the shepherds pie, and the spaghetti lasagna dish. Let's start with the ribs...boiled and then smoked and over done...the meat was very dry. The shrimp were good but the "southern" green beans looked and tasted like they came out of a can that had been on the shelf for 10 years...they were pale, soggy, and tasteless. One of the baked potatoes came to the table with so much sour cream it flowed over the sides of the potato and on the other it looked like the sour cream was curdled. On a whole the shepherds pie was good but it was brought out basically cold. I'm not sure what was in the spaghetti lasagna dish looked great but after a few bites my daughter said it tasted funny, so I took a bite and I can't quite put my finger on what it was but it tasted similar to dishwashing soap. I don't think I'll be going back.

The last time I gave them 2 stars because of price and the food. This time that can't even save them. We were reluctantly drug to Cheddar's by my mother who was visiting from out of town; she loves the place and she was the guest so she wins. The last time all of our issues were with the service and this time we lucked out with the same exact server again. This time was worse than last. The visit was at lunch time and we told her I had to run to work by a certain time, an hour and a half would be a crunch but shouldn't be too hard to do at a casual place. The food didn't come out until about 20 minutes before I had to leave and of course my burger wasn't there. That was a similar issue as last time when my mom's entree was forgotten. It took another 10 minutes to get my food out in a box of course because I knew I wasn't going to have the time. Like I had said in the past the food is pretty tasty and the price can't really be beat, but I find it extremely difficult to believe that my service issues are all that unique. Diner beware.

The restaurant smelled like a petting zoo. While waiting in the lobby to be seated, there were a couple people ahead of us, but we had all entered the building at the same time. I saw many employees peek out at the lobby, yet with a nearly empty restaurant, it still somehow took over 10 minutes to be seated. Our server did not write down our order, so he had to come back a few times to double check on what we ordered. It took a long time for our food to come out. I ordered steak, and the server asked me to cut into it to make sure it was done as I ordered. I only noticed after he left that the meat was not the same thickness throughout so while the piece I cut into was fine, half of it was inedible because it was so raw. I am not one to complain to about that (I've seen Waiting), so I just left feeling ripped off. It was an odd experience overall.

Last visit on 3/19. I had begun to feel like the food quality and service was dropping after the past couple of visits. They redeemed themselves well. The appetizer and entrees were done well. As always, portion size is no issue with this place. Our server seemed either inexperienced or incompletent to some degree. Had to coax/ coach her quite a bit. We'll be keeping this in our list of places to hit for now.
(4)Tony L.
Food is average but priced accordingly. The #1 reason I will never rank any higher is because they have the worst tap list I have ever seen. Embarrassing actually. 3 beers...Budweiser, Coors Light and Blue Moon! That's it????!!!
(2)Jessica C.
I went to Cheddars with LOW expectations, given the reviews here. That's probably what pushes this up from 3 to 4 stars. It's not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. If 3.5 was an option, that's what I'd give it. The food we've ordered (especially the chicken tenders) has been delicious! It's really just the service that's lacking. The two times we've been, our servers were friendly. One was on top of her game, the other less so. We waited a bit for drinks (especially the ones from the bar, although the mango mojito tasted great) and for our order to be taken both time, but the food came out quickly. The last time they mistakenly gave me a baked potato for a side instead of mashed and were quick to take it back and bring out the correct order. Paying hasn't been an issue. We've been weeknights for dinner and in and out within an hour. Do I think this place is gourmet? No. Do I think it's good? Yes (and my teenage son really loves it). I could probably never drag my husband to a chain like this that's just glorified bar food, but it's been a fine place to visit hang out when he's out of town and I don't feel like cooking.
(4)J B.
I will say that since my first review when they first opened this new cheddar's it has improved so much! The world greatest chicken sandwich is honestly the best chicken sandwich I have ever tasted! The servers are quick to bring out the food!
(5)David P.
Visited twice. First time was a snowstorm and the restaurant was quite empty. Our server however was quite NOT interactive, especially since he had plenty of time to interact. I think a trained monkey would have been friendlier and made us smile a bit more. The food however was good. On our second visit, the server had much more personality, but was sort of absentee. He and/or the kitchen were slow. But it must have been him because it took 20 minutes to get our check and we NEVER got soft drink refills. Again the food was pretty good. Both times, the chicken strips seemed to be breaded, frozen fried chicken. Tasty all the same. The steak was good, not great, but good. The appetizer sampler, was tasty, but it's also tough to mess up mozz sticks, potato skins and frozen chicken tenders. So far, we're 0 for 2. Not a recommended restaurant.
(2)Danielle G.
To put it simply... this place is busy. Not too surprising for a new restaurant in town. Met up with my bestie for a girlfriend gab session, a couple adult beverages and a meal. We ordered the edamame for an appetizer... our server didn't know how to pronounce it and said she'd never heard of it before. Gave us reason to raise our eyebrows considering SHE was a server and should probably know the menu. We ordered the Asian chicken & shrimp salad with a cup of chicken tortilla soup. Food was pretty good... the service was S L O W. Bartender was friendly as was our server, but they either need more help or more efficient staff. We waited unreasonably long for everything. Our drinks, our appetizer and finally our meal. We both tipped well, but if you do decide to check this restaurant out, make sure you have plenty of time to sit.
(3)Danny Y.
I'm from California and I LOVED this place. Atmosphere, check! Very reasonable pricing, check! Good food, double check! Perhaps the other reviewers on this site are a bit critical but from what I've experienced in Los Angeles and Orange County, Cheddars offers exceptional value reserved for restaurants that charge a lot more. I know a lot of people experienced hiccups with service and logistic of food being prepared but what I experienced wasn't the case. Food was great and came out in ample amount of time. I wish Cheddars came out to California. But until then, I'll have to make my way out to Misahwaka to experience the best value around town, Cheddars.
(5)Paul C.
Should have read the reviews first before venturing into this restaurant. In any case I didn't so here it goes... I will echo what seems to be a theme with this location. Dirty floors and tables. The staff was not very friendly at all. The food was average in taste and appearance but reasonably priced. Will not be back unless someone else is paying.
(2)Angela A.
First off, why put on a review if you YOURSELF have not even eaten there. Yet you put a review up based on OTHERS experiences. That is just idiotic to me. On to my review. Yes, this place is massively busy. It is what is expected when a NEW PLACE opens in the area. Everyone plus their grandmother is going to try it out. If you are not willing to wait and choose to go at high volume times, then I don't think you have the right to gripe. We went at 1:30pm last week and it was still busy but we got seated right away. I had the pick three lunch combo, soup, salad and half club sandwich. The salad was great and had loads of veggie toppings and a perfect amount of dressing. Their croutons they use are good too. Nice amount of lettuce etc for the price if you were to pay for it on your own.. The bread on the sandwich was toasted which was nice, however they LOAD it with butter. The salad came with a croissant topped with honey butter? It was very flaky and fresh. The soup on the other hand was not my favorite for chicken tortilla. The flavor was just off to me. It was as if it had way too much lime juice in it. I will say that it had a nice after kick of spice that seemed to be spot on if that is your type of thing. I also tried 2 of their flavored teas, raspberry and mango/peach. The mango/peach was my favorite. There is not fruit floating around in your tea and I can't recall exactly but am pretty sure that was advertised for those. Those are 2.99 each but you can swap out flavors and not get charged a "new" glass. So basically they are refillable. For that price I expected some fruit. For dessert I had the apple pie. The piece is HUGE and can be shared. The crust was very soft/flaky and extremely buttery. The waitress said it is made fresh there. I'm not sure about that claim. Judge for yourself. On a side note, their alcoholic beverages looked excellent and the price point was below most places in the area but I did not try one. Basically this is just an average place, average food, but prices were good and you got a lot of food for the price. I just didn't have anything spectacular that would warrant another visit, but I do want to go back to try the pot roast. As far as friendliness, we had 2 waitresses, one was training, and they were a riot, funny , friendly and prompt. We even had another waitress stop by our table to just say hi, see how our visit was, make small talk and refilled my guests drink when we were not even her table! In all, good service and I will go back so I can try the pot roast because that looked scrumptious.
(3)Erica R.
Was here recently for my dads b day. Atmosphere was very comfortable. A little noisy but not too bad. Food was delicious. I had the combination plate with ribs and steak. It came with two sides, i tried the broccoli casserole and red beans & rice. All very good! Ribs were tender, steak was tender and juicy. I really enjoyed the meal. What i didn't enjoy was our server. He was inattentive and just didnt seem to care about what he was doing. Had to ask for our silverware and even our dinner salads... If it wasnt for the service i would give it a 5 star rating. But id eat there again.
(4)B R.
Not impressed at all. Hostesses argued about who would wait the table leaving us standing and listening. Not crowded but slow service. Food was mediocre. Drinks were skimpy. I know a lot of people like this place but I would not recommend it.
(1)Josh L.
This place has great food for a good price. I've been here a number of times and have never had a problem. My usual eats are the shepherd's pie and the chicken pot pie. Both of which are very good.
(4)Cody C.
Worst experience I have had!! It took 2hrs to get food. When it came some dishes were cold!! They didn't even bother to offer any comp. the overall service was very bad with very little people in the restaurant. I will not go back ever!!!
(1)Amy E.
I have been to Cheddar's 4 times and although I have nothing negative to say about the taste/ quality of the food, the service is the worst I have seen in a long time!!! The first time I went here was with 3 other ladies from school. Two of us ordered drinks which took 10-15 minutes to be delivered. Our orders came out promptly and the food was amazing especially for the price. If our server would have come around to refill our waters or ask if we need another alcohol beverage that would have been super!!! It also took 10 minutes to get our change back from the bill. You could see her chit-chatting around the corner. Second visit, two of us. I order a drink which took 10-15 minutes to get. I was on a time crunch and was praying our food wouldn't take forever. It def. took a good 20 minutes and we were there at lunch....wasn't busy at all!!! Food was great. Prices even better. Third visit we sat at the bar. I have no idea what they were doing....we both ordered drinks and it STILL....even while sitting at the bar took 10 minutes for them to make it. We also ordered the onion rings (which are delicious) at the same time as the drinks. These took AT LEAST 20 minutes to arrive. When they did arrive the bartender did not give us any utensils or napkins. Took another 10 minutes to get their attention for that. Finally, when we were ready to leave I had to actually yell across the bar to get the check. Which didn't come promptly. The bartender finished what they were doing ...the dishes....before fetching the check. I come first? Not at this establishment. Last night. My 4th time visiting. The gentlemen that sat us tried to sit us at a table that was about 2 feet away from a HUGE party and about 2 feet on the other side away from another table of 4. Plenty of other space in the restaurant. This table was soooo awkward. We asked nicely to be reseated. Once in our comfortable booth our very robotic and completely weird server comes around and says "drinks?" I once again ordered the Painkiller for $5.95 who can beat it and two waters for the table. We also ordered onion rings. The waters came out in approx. 5 minutes but AGAIN my drink took 15 minutes!! Longer than bother other times. It was horrible. Our server came back to take our order and said "are their any decisions you need to make" I just assumed she wanted to take our order bad she is just overly awkward! Salad hit the table before the appetizer!!! Soooo annoying. Never bring entree food before an app. 5 minutes later app is there and 20 minutes later our food arrives. The food was delicious. Moral of the story. You get the service you pay for I guess. Cheap food that is delicious!! Takes forever to get any and everything. Management is RUDE!!!! Servers are terrible. BEYOND TERRIBLE!!! Such a let down for a potentially great place. Hopefully they switch things around and fire 90% of the staff. This would help.
(1)James B.
First time service was slow, but I think it's a management issue of understaffing busy times rather than bad employees. Had the chicken and waffles and its highly recommended. HUGE portions.
(3)Bella D.
This place was alright. The best part is the pricing. Very affordable. The tomato slices on my sandwich were DEFINITELY rotten; not semi-cooked, not frozen, ROTTEN. The skins and texture were old and shriveled up. Not fresh at all. Of course, I never complain out of fear of having a dessert spit on later. I don't trust many restaurant kitchen employees these days. As for the dessert, very good! The best part. My husband and I split a HUGE chocolate cake with ice cream (which only cost $4.99).
(3)Gloria S.
Food was good. Service was terrible. After a long wait time to get in and seated, we waited forever for a server. After we got the menus it was another long wait time. The waiter we had was talking to other waiters, so we know it was not a matter of him being too busy to come refill our drinks and take our order.
(2)William H.
Ate here recently. The food was pretty good and the price was very affordable. Very friendly staff. I noticed several negative reviews for this restaurant. I will say I did eat here with friends the first week they were open and that experience would have rated 2 stars. The food was not good and the staff was obviously new, slow and did not get our order correct. I just assumed they were getting the bugs worked out, this last visit felt like a whole new restaurant. I will be making this a regular stop as long as they keep the quality up.
(5)Michael M.
Decent food and decent service. Nothing special. Not a good option for vegetarians. The menu is large and has tons of dishes to choose from. With so many options on the menu, one would think there would be something for vegetarians. Since I am a vegetarian, the waitress recommended for me to get the vegetable plate. Looking at the menu, the "vegetable" plate wasn't even a plate of vegetables. It was actually a soup served with some side dishes. Here's the thing: all the soups have meat in them. The dish she recommended was not vegetarian friendly at all! Calling a dish a vegetable plate is very misleading when it is actually a just a soup with some sides. I decided to get the Asian chicken salad and asked for them to remove the chicken. The dish came with no chicken just like I had asked. The salad tasted fine. There was nothing too exciting about it. It was definitely a dish anyone could make at home. Nobody else at our table seemed too impressed with their dishes either. However, my brother got the chicken and waffles and really liked them. Other than that, there was nothing special about our meal. This is not a restaurant I would recommend for someone to go to, especially if they are a vegetarian. There are better places in the area that serve better food for a similar price.

Please don't bother with this place. First, this is our third visit. The first time we went to the bar only. Three bartenders and it took them at least five minutes to acknowledge us. They didn't wipe the area down until after they took our drink order (which the bartender promptly forgot and had to ask us again). The margaritas were not that good and mine had a gnat in it. The bartender didn't understand why I wanted it replaced. We didn't bother with food. Second time, we sat in the bar and the service was ok and the food was warm and decent. Which made us decide to come back. Third time, after being seated, it took the waiter at least five minutes to get our drink order (we ordered right then). Then another ten to get our drinks. After about 30 minutes, we got our food (which was all cold). The manager took one of our plates to "fix" the situation. She brought it back in a few minutes - yep, they nuked it and sent it right back to the table. "NUKED IT" - at least replate the food so we don't know you just microwaved the same plate. The manager then didn't understand why this wasn't acceptable. We left immediately after getting the bill (they only took off one of our plates, though, two of us didn't eat the cold food. Not going back and I recommend that you don't either.

I'm quite puzzled by the spate of negative reviews-- this place is terrific! I've been going to Cheddar's several times a month since it opened and I haven't had a single problem. The food is delicious, the service friendly and efficient, and the price can't be beat. Many of the items are as good as "home cooking": the chicken tenders, for example, and made-to-order... this cannot be said of the many comparable chain restaurants on Grape or Main, many of which serve frozen food at a higher price than Cheddar's. Give it a try and decide for yourself-- even if you are unhappy you won't be out too much money.
(5)Ryan S.
The staff was very friendly and did a decent job but we left saying we wouldn't go back with all of the other restaurants in town to choose from. Maybe we were just the unlucky family of the night but not much went right for us on this visit. It started with my wife getting served in one of the dirtiest wine glass that I have ever seen, then they served us food and left without giving us silverware to eat with, then we had an empty ketchup bottle on our table and quickly ended when my daughter found a hair in her food. Again, maybe it was just an off night but we left very unimpressed.

The service as others have said was poor. We were told our waitress and another were in an "altercation" and sent home! While this can happen, the rest of the meal the service was poor. We were sitting in the bar area but not at the bar. I went to the bar to refill drinks for the wife and I. The rest of the bar appeared to be getting similarly poor service since two waitresses were sent home. It would seem to me the manager ahold have made his/her rounds in the bar area to let people know she was sorry. The food is meh. The only thing they have going for them is price point. Also interesting they have no nutrition information on their web site. Not sure if they would have it at the facility if you asked for it.

I am convinced that Cheddars is a microcosm of everything wrong with the United States, but Golden Corral is opening soon down the road. Their "scratch kitchen" did a great job of producing boxed mozzarella sticks, an unmemorable chicken ciabata sandwich, a doughnut-like monte christo filled with Carl Buddig quality meats, and supersweet fountain lemonade. The service was pretty bad, even for a Grape Rd. chain. The host seemed like he was whacked out on heroin. The atmosphere? Sure, the place looks nice. Everybody eating here was either obese or seemed disfigured in some way. I don' t know, maybe I was having a bad day. All I know is that the food here sucks, and no amount of marketing is going to change that.

My wife and I visited Chedders in Mishawaka, IN for dinner on 7/15/2013. The restaurant did not appear to be very busy and we were looking to get a quick meal for the evening. We were seated immediately and the waitress took our orders right away. Unfortunately, the kitchen's response was very slow. After almost 30 minutes of waiting for our food, the waitress returned to apologize for the delay and offered us complimentary dinner rolls. After another 20 minutes or so, the waitress came back and told us that the kitchen was "backed up" and our food would be another 10 minutes. The restaurant was not full and there were no large groups - hence, I was surprised by this explanation. At this point, I asked to see a manager. The manager came and told us that our food would be "coming right up" and that she would personally deliver our food. The manager returned a short time later with our meals - but, unfortunately, it was readily obvious that the food was not fully cooked (i.e. my salmon was still raw on the inside). At this point, we decided to leave and go to another restaurant - after almost an hour of waiting for our meal !!!

I am not usually a chain restaurant eater but cheddar's supprised me. Nice atmosphere, excellent service and the food was very fresh and good quality. I had the chicken nd waffels and the nachos which were very good. I would recomend trying this chain!

We had a good experience at Cheddars. the restaurant just recently opened, and we have been twice. Both times the service was good, but food service times were slow. Prices are VERY reasonable, and that is what we were most impressed with. I had the ribs and fried shrimp which was great, and my husband had a beautiful salmon dinner. another person in our party said the Philly cheesesteak was on par with one of the best he had had. Their drinks are also very good and reasonably priced. The painkiller is HUGE, and I highly recommend the bloody mary. we finished off with their giant cookie loaded with ice cream, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream. More than enough for two people and only $4.00! The total bill for 4 adult and2 kids with 3 alcoholic drinks, regular drinks, and 2 desserts was about $70.00. We like Cheddars!

Great place, our waitress was Marilyn H. She was amazingly friendly, courteous, and a great waitress. My steak was cooked perfect and my chicken tenders were very good. I love their salads with that delicious croissant. It's a busy place because it's new, but worth the wait.

Normally I love cheddars so I thought this one would be great but there were some downsides. I ordered the lunch combination with a half a sandwich and two sides. I got the grilled buffalo chicken wrapper and it was also impossible to eat because they drenched it with buffalo sauce that was overwhelming and just dripping out of the wrap and making it soggy. I also had the Cesar salad and once again they drenched the salad with dressing and I ended up only eating a few bites. I got the chicken tortilla soup which wasn't terrible. My husband on the other hand had the same lunch combination but with the monte cristo which he loved as well as a house salad (not drenched in dressing) and the baked potato soup and he enjoyed those. I will definitely eat there again but get something else on the menu or ask for the dressing on the side. Otherwise the waitress was friendly and timely. Also love the decor in cheddars and their Texas tea drinks!

Good food s l o w service. Lunch at 1:30 so not the rush. 4 guests, two of us got food and the other two got nothing. We asked the waitress so she said someone swiped one of their salads from the kitchen so she didn't want to bring just one out so we had to wait till they remade both. We asked for manager she said sorry the waitress didn't tell her what happened, so salads would be out in a minute. They were. They comped them but it was a really weird lunch.

Nice place for lunch . We enjoyed our food. The server was attentive and solved our problem when the food was too spicy for us. The prices were certainly reasonable. Would definitely come back again.

Cheddar's just opened this week so I may give this place another shot after the place finds its groove (hopefully it will). I will edit my post if I give this place another shot but for now I will tell you about my recent experience. The place was packed and it was obvious everyone was overwhelmed. I was told there was a 15 min. wait, however judging how many were waiting to be seated I figured it was a loose estimate. I was correct because 45 min. later I was seated. I almost gave up and left but after the 30 min. mark I figured I was invested at that point. The interior is very attractive and the seating arrangements are comfortable but it was extremely loud. Our waitress was overwhelmed and not knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered a meal that clearly stated it had to 2 sides, she told me it did not. I pointed to the menu but she could barely hear me and was insistent it was just one side. I asked her what the sides were and she told me, "whatever you want." I chose mashed potatoes. I asked for a side salad and was told there was an extra charge. Fine. On the menu it states that the salad is fresh and comes with their special bread. After a quite a while I started to realize I wasn't going to get my salad. My son overheard another waitress telling the table behind us that they were out of salad. When our waitress came back I asked about my salad expecting her to say they ran out. She said that salad was being made and she would bring mine out but she had a look on her face that was obvious she had forgotten I had actually ordered a salad. The salad came out shortly after that and it was completely doused in dressing. It was so doused the lettuce was soggy and a nice pool of dressing was in the bottom of the bowl. I couldn't eat it. Also, no bread. Have no idea what their special bread is unless its being invisible is what makes it so special. Then our meals came out. My son ordered a philly sub with fries and he said his meal was great. I ordered chicken fried steak and it was just a large slab of meat on a small plate. I asked where the mashed potatoes were. The waitress said my salad was my side. Sigh. She seemed to not get the whole side thing and I was too tired and fed up to try and explain it to her over the noise. The country fried steak was disgusting. More than half was breading and the steak was fatty and bloody. I couldn't eat it. I was going to ask for a manager but everyone was running around like crazy. The waitress said she noticed I didn't like my food. I agreed. I told her how the experience wasn't that great. She agreed and said the place was disorganized. Wonderful. No mention of getting a manager or seeing what she could do to make it right. I wont mention her name here because Im sure she didn't think I would be writing about it on yelp but I would be surprised if she keeps the job. I pretty much felt like I wasted 2 hours of my life and got ripped off.

Everything was delicious. Our server, Barbie, was extremely nice. But it was horribly SLOW. I got my salad before we ever got a drink. Everything took forever. They weren't that busy when we got there at lunch, although they were when we left. Just getting refills on our drinks was a chore. Our server was very apologetic about the delays for everything, but wow. Management there needs to get some organization going on. At any given time I saw at least 3 people leaning against the wall going into the kitchen. As slow as stuff was coming out of there you'd think one of those guys could help with something. I don't know if I will go back or not, I'm still on the fence.

I was surprised to see all the bad reviews on Cheddars, as we had a good meal today. Allison was our server, the service was excellent, very attentive, refilled drinks, check on us many times. Service was also quick, food was out a little too quickly if anything, still working on our appetizer when the entrees arrived. Onion rings were excellent, freshly battered, fried. Similar to tempura, the less time between the fryer and service, the better it tastes, and these were outstanding. I had the "Spasagna" (like lasagna, using spaghetti noodles) which was very good, my wife had the catfish, which was also excellent (we tried each others). Excellent prices, inexpensive relatively speaking. Had the mini-key lime pie in a glass, which we shared, as we were pretty full by then. As for the reviewer who complained it was dirty, no idea what he meant, as the place was spic-and-span, even the bathrooms. Definitely a keeper. The only minor complaint I had was, we were seated near the kitchen doors. We could hear an argument going on behind the doors, as they were yelling at each other. However, no other complaints to report.

We went to this restaurant yesterday to try something new, and boy were we disappointed... first of all when the first impression you get from your server is not her introducing herself but asking us what do we want to drink while -I kid you not- putting lip gloss on while talking to us, you know you're in for something. It seemed that she was the bartender while serving the bar, which its ok lots of places do that, there were other servers taking care of other tables at the bar as well so the fact that our food took long to get to us plus we never getting the garlic bread that was supposed to come with the meal (the server said she would go find out why it didn't came out twice, we never got an answer) is beyond me. She tried to give us a refill of our drink without us asking for it, which usually that's a nice touch, unfortunately she brought something completely different and never came back to check on it.. (we had coke...not a complicated drink) and to top it all she had time to go back to the bar and make drinks, but she had spare time to mingle with a couple that was talking to the manager instead of checking on us or getting us what we needed. The food was OK.. nothing to rave about... now what boggles me the most is how can a restaurant called Cheddar's not serve mac and cheese??! that's beside the point but come on,!! Anyhow , needless to say that'll be the first and last time we go there.

I stopped in her with some good friends to have a few drinks. It was a Tuesday night so not too busy. I ordered the nachos and a drink. When I first got the nachos I picked one up and thinking there was a tomato I went to pick it off and realized it was actually a red sticker! Worst of all it said Monday! The manager did not even agree to comp. the item or meal. I left feeling very dissatisfied and a tad grossed out. I will not be visiting this restaurant again!

5 visits, average service, average food, great price. Our family goes there for the price point, the service does need some work since they are very slow at getting the food out, or even a drink refill. The food quality is a solid 3 star, the price is 4 stars and the service is 2-3 stars. I have found the building typically clean for our lunch visits. The food does seem a little too salty. Cheddar's needs to work on better consistency to survive.

We had an amazing visit. Food was delicious, the drinks were yummy. Yes it was a little bit of a wait, and there seemed to be some confusion, but we were willing to brave the opening week so those things were to be expected. The price of the food was unbeatable. We will be back soon!

My first Cheddar's experience was tonight. Just was craving a burger for dinner. We were seated right away. And then waited. And waited. 9min later as a waitress started to pass by, the wife mentioned maybe we need to go somewhere else. That waitress stopped and asked if we have been waited on. "Nope" I said." Not even a drink order, a "hiya', sorry be with you nothing." So about 4 min later our waiter came by and took our drink order. Nice man, entertaining, and service was looking up. Fast forward to food service. To keep it simple, the wife and I ordered the same. Bacon, mushroom Swiss burger (no swiss, some white american of some sort) and side of fries. Waiter forgot to put fries on the ticket. kitchen added lettuce, tomato, mayo to the burgers, no fries. Second time around, burgers right, no fries. Burgers and a massive bun. Greasy, appeared to be a over seasoned processed patty. Mushrooms were whole, but sauteed nicely. Unfortunately, this combination just tasted like a processed burger you would find in a truck stop food service. I was expecting a hand pattied burger. Not a processed, perfectly round, exact thickness burger from a company that raves about hand made foods all over their menu. I will try Cheddar's again, but defiantly not their burgers.

Went there for dinner tonight as this place has just opened in our area and wanted to give it a try. When we got there, there were a lot of people waiting outside for a table. For a party of three, we were told it would be about a 35 min wait. We decided to go have a drink at the bar while we waited. We were paged for our table after only about 10 minutes, which we were really happy about. I ordered Chicken Tortilla soup and the Pear salad. Soup was just ok. Chicken Tortilla is one of my favorite soups and I've had better at other restaurants. Soup could have been hotter too. The Pear salad was delicious! Was just the perfect size and loved the price. Although I can't judge other dishes they have, they seem to make smaller (reasonable size) portions and therefore have lower prices. I've been to some restaurants where they charge an arm and a leg for a salad and it could feed 4 people and it goes to waste. So kuddos to them for charging reasonable prices for "normal" size portions. Overall I was satisfied with our experience there. The servers were nice too.
