This location is good. The waitresses are always very friendly and attentive. The usual food from this type of restaurant. I don't think we've ever had any complaints about the food. The warm rolls with the honey butter are too tempting. I don't get the whole peanut shells on the floor thing but people seem to like it.

Great food, painfully slow service. At least a dozen birthdays were celebrated here on a Friday night between 8 and 10pm; every booth and table was filled with hungry families. Our waitress wasn't very good, and despite apologizing for the long delay still didn't do much to appease us. The kitchen was moving at a snail's pace, and by the time we paid the check and left, we had been there a grand total of 2 hours. Two freaking hours! I'm fairly certain the cooks had to chase down the cows locally, kill them, and prepare them for us. What else explains the foodless 50-minute wait the three of us had to endure? The old man and I are big fans of the peanut-shell-on-the-ground steakhouses, and we found our cuts of beef to be delicious. I got mine with a sweet potato and loaded chili, both very good. The blooming onion appetizer was great, and those Texas-sized 36oz draft beers definitely hit the spot. AWESOME warm bread, too--with cinnamon butter! Very reasonable prices, I thought, I'd just do well to steer clear of another Friday night dinner rush. The bread makes the difference between 3* and 4*.

Easy place to go for lunch. The staff is very friendly! I really enjoy most everything I have had. One thing to note, if you want croutons on your dinner salad you have to ask for them. They do have peanuts here so those with allergies think twice! I'm allergic to shellfish but never have had a problem here.

Some of the better priced steak in the area but nothing too special. They don't sacrifice quality for the price either. I could do with less country music however haha, but I get the gist of having that on here.

First time for us to eat here. Worst thing was TC isn't prepared for more than 10-12 people waiting (12+ and you're jammed in uncomfortably, trying to stay out of the way of servers and departing customers). Stick with beef for dinner! One of us had chicken quesadillas, another crab Alfredo and the third a bacon burger and it was the burger that easily rated the best. Service was good and even the busboy was courteous.

Texas Corral is like a Tale of Two Cities, or in this case two restaurants inhabiting the same space. We come here a lot for lunch with our "frequent cow killer card", and a couple of times a month for dinner. I have never had a better piece of fried chicken in my life than I had here once at lunch time, very crunchy and juicy. I get the chicken fried chicken with gravy on the side and it was and usually is great. Their steaks are typically good, but the small lunch version usually is dry. When you go to a lot of places like this for lunch you can always tell about when everyone comes in to work by how soft the baked potatoes are and how warm the soup is, they need to work on this. I really love their salads, they are all fresh large pieces of lettuce and veggies, but I don't think about half or so of the staff understand that you need to drain it or there will be a puddle at the bottom of the plate with runny ranch in it. The last few time I've been there the salads are getting a little small compared to what they were. I, like many others that don't run down the street into a bus stop screaming Allahu Akbar, love ribs. I craved some and got them last night and they were really tough, dry, and with big chunks of fat on them, not anything like the last time I had them here. I really try to get food at a restaurant that isn't typically served from a can, is re-heatable from the previous night (like ribs or baked potatoes), or lends itself to assembly line preparation, like a lot of Mexican food unfortunately falls into, but these ribs had to be a retread. The staff here is usually friendly, but I feel bad for them having to suffer with the architect that thought his remodeling plans were a stroke of genius and just not a stroke. They are going to have to cover and heat the porch so there is a place for people to wait without getting frostbite. Still love the place, will always be our favorite lunch spot!

Very good! Love the atmosphere with peanuts on the table for munching. Menu is diverse and I've not had a bad meal here. Definitely recommend

I know, I'm usually a pretty picky diner who stays away from franchises unless I'm being dragged there and here I am loving the heck of this franchise in Indiana. I ate breakfast and snacked so I didn't enjoy it just because I was hungry. I enjoyed the service, my soup, my bread, and my entree. I really have nothing to complain about. Both my friend and I ate almost everything. I was afraid the food would be gross or would make my stomach upset and instead all one heard "hmm, this is good!!". If I was in the middle of this area again I wouldn't mind coming here again.

Can some one say Heck Yea! Well I will, Heck Yea! This is a great place to have a beer and dinner. I went on a Monday because of the .75 cent draft beer special and found a better deal $2 bucks for a 36oz beer Texas Size. While eating FREE peanuts and throwing the shells on the floor I was getting hungry. I asked What food specials do you have and was told All You Can Eat Ribs for $13.95. It came with soup and steak fries, but you would not expect the ribs to be good but WOW they were great!! I was at the bar the the two employee's there were super friendly and made me feel like a regular!! Thank You Texas Corral :)

This is THE place. You can keep the Longhorn, and the rest of the steak house posers. Although I have a bit of the OCD when it comes to cleanliness, the tossing of peanut shells on the floor surprisingly didn't bother me. Wait staff was friendly and eager to assist with describing menu items and the awesome cocktails. I have been here several times now, and no matter what I order, hot, buttered rolls are delivered to the table. They are like manna from heaven. For lunch they offer smaller portions of their dinner items and some really great sandwiches. Chicken Parm at a steak house is a bit odd though....tasty but odd. The chili cheese burger is incredible. I am tempted to enjoy one each time I drive past the place. The steaks are slightly seasoned and done just right. They have ample sides to choose from and some great appetizers, too. If you show up after 5 PM, you should be prepared for a short wait, the place can get quite packed. Can't wait to get back!!!

Throw the peanuts on the floor. Food is great and they give you a lot. The price is reasonable. Drinks are good also.
