Great view of the lake when you sit out on the multi tiered deck. The menu is very American. My husband and I both ordered grilled fish with roasted potatoes and the fresh veg of the day hoping for lighter fare. What we got was delicious, but anything but light. The fish wasn't flame grilled. The potatoes had been deep fried. All was covered in buttery grease. Again, very good, but not what we'd expected. The staff was plentiful, so it was odd that we weren't even greeted for a while upon entering and then sat at our table for another while before our server claimed us as her table. In the end, we were well taken care of, though.

Greek salad was great, seafood fettuccine was delicious, onion straws were good. Huge portions, so you may want to share! Great view and atmosphere!

The Chop Chop Salad (salmon salad) was delicious! It came with a fluffy breadstick. The service was great and the view is wonderful.

I want to like Ainsley's, but there's just something missing from almost every aspect. The view of the water is nice, but I'm fairly sure there's an outside entrance straight from the dock. This leads to half-naked drunk people stumbling through the place to go to the bathroom (which, by the way, are pretty shabby and messy). The servers are all 18/19 years old and dressed like they're going to jump on a boat as soon as their shift ends. The menu prices do not reflect the atmosphere or the quality of the food. My medium boneless buffalo wings were barely mild, and the breading was squishy and fell off the meat. I got them simply because $8.50 seemed much more reasonable than the $17.95 they were asking for other entrees. The bartender was super nice, though, and there was a decent selection of wine (nothing fancy, just lots to choose from). I realize this review kind of makes me sound like a jerk, but I think Ainsley's has gotten lazy in its popularity and its lack of competition. This place could be so much more.

Nice place to eat. Service is not bad, sometimes a bit pushy to get you the check but all in all a nice place to chill and watch the boats.

OK, the view of the lake is very nice. But this is a very busy restaurant that gives one the impression that you are in the way. It is a joyless establishment wherein you will find lots of competently prepared food, but no one, not the hostess, not the manager, not the busboy, shows the slightest pleasure at seeing, much less serving, another patron. I believe you will find the menu limited but, to be fair, what they do, they do competently, Just don't expect anything innovative. And don't expect to feel particularly welcome. One star for the view and one for the food.

What's not to like? Beautiful location, good food and great service! I've never had a bad dining experience here. Yesterday was no different. The weather was perfect, our server was patient and had a great sense of humor and our food was good. The calamari was really tender, although it needed some salt and pepper to kick it up a notch. The fries were some of the best I've ever had and the bianca shrimp were tender and flavorful. This is a great spot to go with the family or friends, have a few drinks, eat great food and enjoy the view.

Ainsley's Cafe is a great place to enjoy a meal if you're in the Brookville area. The restaurant has great outdoor seating with views of the marina and a decent menu variety. Each year we go to Whitewater Memorial State Park and rent out a group of cabins, Ainsley's is the restaurant of choice in the area when we don't feel like grilling. I went twice this past weekend, the first time I had the wings, which were ok (breaded is not my thing- but I didn't ask) and the second time I had the Yachtsman (re: bacon cheeseburger) which was great. Others in the group had ribs, seafood parm, and cajun chicken, which all looked pretty good. The prices are a little steep, but the quality and service are definitely deserving of an above average star rating. There were about ten servers on the Saturday I went (during the Indy 500) and they were all really cute and helpful. The view is amazing from pretty much anywhere in the building as well as outside. I've always had a positive experience at Ainsley's and would recommend it to anyone in the area. Check out their website for more info on when they're open because I'm pretty sure they're a seasonal restaurant.

I think most folks go here for the view, which is nice, but the food is pretty good. It's a pretty standard American-fare menu. The spinach salad was really good, and the wings were tasty, though the "hot" was...not. Service was good, though I think we got lucky with the young lady who waited on us. My drink was never empty (a nice touch on a hot day on the deck).

Great setting, but you never know which restaurant you are visiting -there is the good fresh restaurant and the stale blah restaurant. Servers nice. Last spinach salad - the spinach was terrible and the dressing was rancid. Over the years, quality not consistent.
