Whisky's is always busy on the weekends, so we try to go during the week. I believe they do not open until 5 p.m. on Saturdays, which is disappointing. We would like to go for lunch on weekends. My husband prefers their ribs to any other restaurant. He always orders the full rack, so he can take some home for later consumption. The peanut slaw is tasty too. I do not care for their add on room (white lattice decor) in the winter. I have been seated there when it is cold outside, and been totally uncomfortable the whole time I was there. I try to ask for seating inside the main building. However, the lighting is not the best there.

Hadn't been in years and won't be back for years. Went with a group of girls to celebrate a few birthdays..... To begin with our server was far from attentive and at times even quite rude. Constantly had to ask for things, like another cocktail (this happened multiple times, hey this is what builds your tab and makes money for your restaurant) , water, napkins, can you clear some plates etc. Salads were drowned in dressing to the point that we had to scrape an appetizer plate full of dressing off the wedge to even eat it. "bacon" was deep fried and burnt on top of the wedge. Lobster shrooms had no taste of lobster were swimming in a boat of greasy/water with crusty cheese on top that wouldn't melt. Fried tomatoes, were red/mushy and tasted like nothing but batter. Crab cakes swimming in sauce as well. Potato soup gelled. So sad, because it's such a cute place with simple basic food/menu that could be done well, without a ton of effort, BOOH!

food was average. service was fast and friendly. seems like a good enough place.

Whisky's is an Indiana staple for us. My husband and I come here to dine quite often, including our birthdays. Everything on the menu is fantastic, but my favorite dish is their award-winning ribs. Try them, you won't be disappointed! For an appetizer, I recommend the fried tomatoes or the fried green beans. And believe me, even if you don't like tomatoes, you'll enjoy this dish. Other must-tries are the peanut slaw and mashed potatoes. And for the parents, this is a very kid-friendly place, one of the few where my son will clean up his plate. The kids' menu is reasonable and offers a good variety. If you haven't trotted out to Indy for a while, take a drive and treat yourself to dinner out.

Never again!.... waited 40 min after we were seated to order.... Couldn't get our waitress attention thank goodness for the buser or we wouldn't have water.... Steak was suppose to be to die for.... Was all fat... Never again

Good food, not amazing but consistent and good quality. Ribs and Calabash Shrimp are the top items/choices on the menu for me. Have the Peanut Slaw if you haven't tried before. Very unique taste (ground dry-roasted peanuts atop cole-slaw).

Best in Lawrenceburg! Very good ribs, but also try their other interesting options. Crab cakes and lobster 'shrooms are awesome starters. Great atmosphere and service. A great place to have dinner before or after visiting the casinos!

As a visitor to the area, my wife and I have dined at WHISKY'S on several occasions, very definitely the RESTAUTANT for excellent food. The wait staff is excellent in every way, gracious, efficient, prompt and very outgoing. Both Roni and Bette have been our waitresses, they fit all the character traits just noted. A delicious meal with terrific service has been the standard of excellence for our visits. I might just add, the steaks are outstanding, yummy!

I came here by chance when Lawrenceburger was closed and my husband and I wanted lunch in Lawrenceburg. It was 2:00 on a Monday, the place was pretty empty and we were seated immediately. They have several different rooms for dining in. We were seated in an area that looked like it used to be an outdoor patio, which was a little different but not bad. I wanted a chicken sandwich and my husband wanted a burger so we were a little disappointed when after looking at the menu we found no sandwiches. Well, it turns out they have this little piece of paper on the table that has their sandwich menu. He got their burger and a bleu cheese wedge and I got their grilled chicken sandwich. Both came with chips, with the option of getting fries for a little extra. All of it was delicious! The waitress was very friendly and fast. I would definitely recommend going their if you happen to be in the area.

Great little place right on the main strip with out door seating and a small bar too. The fireplace is a nice touch! Seats about 40 inside! But YELP needs to catch KETCHUP: it's now the LAWRENCEBURGER!

Have not been here in a while and kinda wish I would stayed away a little longer. There ribs are usually very good but not tonight. Over cooked and very dry. Can not beat the peanut slaw it is always very good. Can't say I will not go back because I know I will. But hopefully the ribs will be like they used to be. Service was very good and the beer was cold, but the ribs not good this time.

definitely the best restaurant in the area. nice cozy atmosphere that is reminiscent of sitting in a cottage (it's a bit dark/dim in terms of lighting.) We went with a group of 10 people and ordered tons of appetizers and entrees but the place is also a nice spot for a date. the peanut slaw is amazing!!! you will wish you ordered seconds. the bbq ribs (fall off the bone), fried green beans (with great horseradish dipping sauce), and loaded baked potatoes (topped with pulled pork) are all wonderful. They also serve one of the best bloody mary's i've had in a long time. we will be back for more!

Not good service. Mediocre food. We had not been here in a couple years and it was never this bad.

Great food! After winning at the casino, we decided to stop by and try this place. This restaurant is a great addition to lawrenceburg. If you don't want to eat in the casino, come to whiskey's.

The peanut slaw is both mind blowing and funky but also quite delicious. A must try especially if you are eating the smoked ribs.

The ribs are as good as it gets... Much better than Montgomery Inn in my opinion. Their cole slaw is the best ever and a welcomed twist. The homemade croutons are exceptional. Cocktails are always well made. In terms of service, I have never had a bad experience. Very attentive without hovering. I've never had to ask for a refill.

I ate here for the first time today. After hearing that the food was good here my expectations were high. I was thoroughly disappointed. First the service was bad. The server was polite but slow. He was quick to take my order but didn't check on me after I received my order. I found this strange because there was only one other table in the entire restaurant. I sat for five minutes waiting on him, or anyone, to bring the check. Second the food was terrible. I ordered the Tuscan chicken. The chicken itself was hot and which is more than I can say for my luke warm pasta. The only place the parmesan cheese was melted was under my chicken. The "sauce" they put on the pasta was bland and tasteless. That's the nicest thing that I can say about it. I would definitely stay clear of this restaurant.

I'm giving this 4 stars for everything but the food. Not that it was horrible but , well, read on... New Years Eve we had made no reservations and drove around calling places to only be told they were all booked solid for the night. Then I called Whiskey's. I was told they were booked but they would squeeze us in. We get there and only have to wait 15 minutes before being seated. Drink order is taken immediately and I am given a FULL glass of wine, not the typical 1/3 glass you get most places. Husbands Rum and Coke was thumbs up too. I let the waiter know I'm vegan and ask, with fingers crossed, can they make me anything. On New Years Eve they have a smaller menu offering so I thought maybe I would be having bread and wine for dinner, no biggy really. But yes, they can fix me up. I get rice with sautéed vegetables, baked sweet potato and a side salad. The food was ok, not great or exceptional. The sweet potato and the veggies were overdone but I won't hold that against them, it was late in the evening. Because of the awesome customer service (and the wine) we will be back!

This was our first visit, my husband and I. He had the ribs and they were excellent, BETTER than Montgomery Inn.. I had the filet mignon medallions. I ordered them medium they came out medium well. Was ok. We had the stuffed mushrooms and I couldn't tell you what they were stuffed with other then some kind of sauce. We were starving so we did eat them. The decor needs a serious up date. And get rid of the nasty carpet. You should never have carpet in a restaurant. I would absolutely go back for the ribs they were great.

Nice local place. You can't get this from a chain. Good food, good service, nice atmosphere
