Great little restaurant on a barge on the Ohio. Not fancy but good food and fun atmosphere. Great burgers, shrimp and appetizers.

Wonderful service, great food, fantastic atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area of Lawrenceburg Indiana.

I went here today for the 1st time for Lunch. It was a nice day & pretty view sitting outside by the water. I got some great pics of the surrounding scenery & it had some friendly ducks :) I ordered the Fish Sandwich & it was fresh & tasty. The Fries were also good. Pretty good lunch food wise. Our waitress was nice but a bit forgetful :( Overall it was a nice experience & I would return here. Side note: Parking is in a nearby garage. Was free today because they were working on the ticket machine. Also this town is cute & good for photography! :)

Nice location. Covered and uncovered portions to eat on so that was a huge plus! Cleanliness could be better but ok. Had the Maryland blue crab cakes and liked that it was mostly crab meat instead of breading. Maybe fried a bit too much and too greasy though. Mimosas were fabulous. Service was good but it was rather busy. Disappointed they were out of Ahi and Grouper. It is a stand alone place by the levee so you can walk around after and burn off a few calories too.

We ended up at the Riverwatch by accident. Originally drove the 40+ miles to eat at Whisky ' s which was closed on Labor day. I have to admit it may have been a blessing in disguise, as I really enjoyed the crab patty basket with fries instead of chips and the calming atmosphere of sitting outside watching the boats on the river. Food was good and reasonably priced, I will go there again!

The front desk clerk at our hotel suggested dining at the River Watch for their 'fresh fish since they are on the water'. The menu was full of seafood including cod, shrimp, tilapia and Maryland crap. None of which could be found in the Ohio River, that I know of... It was a calm night on the Ohio River as we watched 2 barges float between power plants, logs speed by and ducks consume Cheerios from the vending machine during our dining experience. The waitress and very friendly and the beer was cold. I ordered the Maryland crab cakes. They came with cocktail sauce to enhance the dryness of the cake. The flavors did not mesh well together at all. The atmosphere at River Watch is very junky and tired. Even the multiple pirate statues looked like they recently survived a long winter at sea, I mean Ohio River.

Perfect setting: cool breeze, late afternoon blue skies, open-air seating on the river. Super service from the moment we were greeted by several very sweet and friendly hostesses until we left and others told us goodbye. Very attentive and personable waitress. Asked for and received great recommendations for our order. We tried mushroom burger, mahi mahi, cod sandwich and personal top pick: the Rueben and side of sweet potato fries (and a very beautiful pina colada!) All great!

Come for the whole experience: view, service and food. Food listed last for a reason - fresh, but standard. Sweet potato fries were the most flavorful part of the dinner. Shrimp steaming hot, trapped in a crisp coconut shell (but I kept waiting for a stronger burst of flavor). Very attentive and friendly service, including discrete lid on the right child's drink and fast delivery on a food envy whale: "But I want a shrimp cocktail too-o-o!" (Thank you, Megan!). The surprise came when I felt the earth rocking and thought: "I must have overheated in the mud race today. A couple of sips of Fat Tire should not feel that way". It was just the fact that the restaurant is a boat and rocks every time a show-off speed boat goes by. Overall, great hangout with your friends and/or family, especially in pleasant weather.

For a place that has been around a while, I'm surprised to see so few reviews for this place. Dinner tonight earned two stars from me, but I would give at least 3 for the two people I ate with. This is the sort of restaurant you go to for the atmosphere more than anything. It's on the water, and locals can dock their boats nearby, which is very cool. They have indoor and outdoor seating also. The first impression was very good! We were seated quickly, and given our drinks quickly. Our waitress forgot about us for at least 10-15 minutes, and when she realized it she rushed over to help us and was very attentive after that. She even put our tickets up front, which I greatly appreciated. I think she did a great job in realizing her mistake and tried to make things right. The dishes we ordered were the Cobb salad, the chicken caesar wrap, and the turkey wrap. I was told the Cobb salad was pretty good, and it looked like the chicken wrap went down well also. My turkey wrap was very strange. I have never seen presentation like this and I would never order it again. The ingredients were totally segmented. The turkey was in one section, the lettuce in another, and the bacon in another. It made for an awkward and unpleasant experience. I would enjoy a bite of turkey, and then suffer a bite of strange and bad tasting lettuce. For 9 bucks I would expect better. I would certainly try this place again for a burger or chicken dish, but never for the wrap. Probably worth a try, and I'm sure most of the food is better than what I had. It all seemed a bit pricey, but that's what you pay to dine on the river!

I've been here two times at each time I had a great experience. The first time I came via automotive vehicle on land. We parked high on top of the bank and walked down over the aqua green bridge over to the restaurant. The second time I came, I showed up on a boat! Now this is how all the cool kids do it. Make sure you show up early, either lunch or dinner, because the dock will get busy/full with parked boats. It was one of the coolest if not the coolest way I've ever showed up to a restaurant. The River Watch is located on the Ohio River. It floats above the water and you can feel the restaurant move. They have a very good lunch and dinner menu with a nice selection of adult beverages. I have gotten two different fish dishes while I was here, the catfish and the fish and chips. Both items are hardy and will definitely hit the spot. The service is great as well and everyone greets you with a smile. One of our draft beers seemed to be skunked and they quickly switched it out with a bottle no charge. Whenver I'm in Cincinnati I will make it a point to try and come back here.

Perfect Sunday = a much needed drive in the jeep! We decided to try this place since it was perfect out for a drive.. 40 mins away from downtown Cincinnati and totally worth it! Tucked away so it wasn't crowded at all. Loved the food and beers were cheap! I ordered the coconut shrimp dinner platter.. I just wish it came with more shrimp! Will be back again :)

Eating on the river is great. Ask to sit by the water, and you'll be rewarded with a great atmosphere. Boats cruise by at eye level, and ducks lazily swim along trying to gobble up the food patrons toss in. The food is pretty good and can satisfy any appetite or taste. A variety of choices reside on the menu; salads, burgers, wraps, sandwiches, and sea food. Pepsi products, sweet/unsweetened tea, and some adult beverages quench your thirst. Eating here is more than stuffing your face. So don't plan on dropping by for a quick in and out. Take your time. Relax. Enjoy the views of the river.

The food was average I ordered the chicken tenders basket and my boyfriend ordered the fish and chips basket. Neither one of us were blown away. The real problem was the service. We waited a few min at the hostess station and a lady comes up and without any greeting says follow me. Then we got our drinks and ordered our food with no problem. After that no one came to check on us. Our drinks were empty for most of our meal. We had to hunt down someone to give us our bill and then waited and waited for someone to come collect the money. We eventually went inside so that we could pay and get out of there.

Great food and good service. Hubby and I shared the seared Ahi and crab cakes. The Ahi was prepared perfectly with a wasabi sauce and ginger DIY dip. The crab cake was yummy. Drawback was smokers sitting close by. We had to move to a less shady area to avoid the smell.

Green beans from a can, rubbery baked potato, drama between the servers and eating our meals without drinks. Their food and service were so bad that all we could do is throw our hands up and laugh. No need to go back until owner/manager change happens.

Just an FYI, this place is seasonal. We went there in early March because of the reviews here. Not open that time of year.

Great place to catch some greasy food and cold beer. They have other stuff too but that's less fun while on the river in the summer

What a great place! You're treated like family as soon as you walk on board. The river view is amazing! I could watch the barge's go up & down the river all day. I love the Mahi Mahi sticks & their Burgers are always awesome. They also have a great specialty cocktail selection. I only wish they were open year round!

Stopped by Sunday Sept. 23 for dinner, very quiet but a wonderful mean. View is outstanding, service was great and an overall great meal. Dad went with the bowl of soup special and it was HUGE, I went with their fish sandwhich which was very nice. Had the shirmp coctail which were very good. They will be closing for the winter on Oct. 15 to reopen in April. Give them a try before they wrap up for the season...

We visited Riverwatch really hoping for a great experience. I felt the food was a little pricey and not particularly good, more average.
