Stopped at Logan's Roadhouse for a weekday dinner after reading positive reviews during a trip to Indy with the family. Service was friendly and plenty of variety on the menu to satisfy everybody. My wife and I both had the Logan's sirloin dinner. Steak was grilled perfectly Medium as we like it - still light pink, but not bloody. Lightly seasoned with coarse pepper and salt with a slight hint of garlic, very subtle. Portion sizes were generous and satisfying. Other reviews raved about the rolls. They were pretty good, freshly baked and hot - served with soft whipped butter, but not the best I've *ever* had. Better than the average dinner roll you get at typical family-style restaurants though. Kids thought it was fun to discard peanut shells served from a metal bucket onto the floor. I had to assure them this was okay! The manager/host made rounds through the dining room and stopped to chat at each table, taking an interest in where we were from and where we were headed to. He was cheerful and didn't hang around uncomfortably long. Gave us a voucher for a free appetizer for our next visit. Meals were priced very reasonably for quality and portion and total check was actually a bit lower than expected. All totaled, dinner for 2 adults, 2 kids meals and an appetizer was just south of $50 bucks including my added 20% service gratuity. Here's a link to their website: logansroadhouse.com I'd definitely recommend a return visit next time we are in the area. ~ Johnny

The bread was good! This is a first time being here for us. We stopped on our way home from Indianapolis. We thought it would be like a Texas Coral. We got the cheeseburger and fries. Couldn't find it on the menu but asked and they did serve it to us. The burger had a different flavor. My husband and I don't know how to describe it. It didn't taste very good. We ordered medium /well and mine was cooked a little more on the raw side but my husbands was definitely on the raw side. They replaced his with a better version of a medium/well burger. Still not better tasting. The fries were ok. This will not be on our list to stop at when passing through in the future. We didn't have the steak so not sure if they are better or not. Could be just a steak joint. The service was good. They did replace my husbands cheeseburger and were prompt with drink refills. They were not very busy. It was 3:00 p.m. A little early for a dinner rush.

Being a chain restaurant this place is pretty good. We passed by here on the way to a wedding and had dinner here. Our food was really good and the servers seem to very pleasant and happy to be working here. They are all very helpful. We had steak, lobster tail, and baby back ribs for dinner - and everything was delicious. If you pass here, come to this restaurant, you will not regret it.

We had a really good time at this Logan's Roadhouse Restaurant. The ribs were one of the best ribs I've ever had. I liked their very sweet and totally not spicy barbecue sauce. The soft, yeasty, dinner rolls with sweet butter were heavenly. My husband ordered a chop steak, very, very, very well done and it arrived cooked perfectly for him. Service was friendly and efficient.

I've only eaten here once. Why? Because I ordered the steak with shrimp scampi and the steak was terrible. I took the smallest bite out of it, because I was sawing away at it - it was supposed to be a medium. HOO boy, at least the waitress asked if I wanted a box and was suspicious when I said I didn't want it boxed. I got $10 off my meal price by the manager. That was their saving grace.

Worst steak I have ever had in my life. I am rarely a patron of large chain restaurants, for good reason - the food and service are usually terrible. Logan's does not disappoint in this respect - the service was OK but the food was horrible. I was dragged along as a part of a large group, 12 of us... and not one person in our group enjoyed their food. The steaks were tough, under or over-cooked, the sides were completely forgettable... and of course it was way too expensive for such a miserable dining experience. Eat local, shop local, enjoy GOOD food - don't eat at Logan's. Heck, even Texas Roadhouse is 10 times better than this place.

I totally agreed with Jess H, the food was terrible, my husband had a sirloin steak and i had hamburger. The steak was burn, dry and hard like a wood, side of rice was cold like it wasn't set enough timer in microware. And for my burger the ground beef was burn so deep, dry and bitter burning taste, I was so hungry and looking forward having diner with my husband on Saturday night, but I couldn't finish 1/3 of my burger and few pieces of french fry..The waiter was nice. On the way rushing out, I briefly expressed my experiencing of the food to the Manager, but she said, well, we was busy, maybe the cook put too much wood in the stove. I told her, i'm not complaining but i want to let you know, because i'm in the same food service industry. I also agreed with Jess H., Texas Road house much better.

Excellent food - 2 full steak dinners and 2 kids meals with drinks for just $40! Steaks were perfectly cooked, generous sides and fresh from the oven rolls. The loaded sweet potato was fabulous, with mini marshmallows and caramel - no need for dessert ;) Service was great - fast and friendly. I'd go back.

Not a good night We went on a Saturday night around 6. They apparently were getting slammed. Our waitress was having a bad day and apparently so was the kitchen. Undercooked chicken...Not good. In times past, this Logans has performed well but be careful at hitting them on peak times.

Bad service all around. The hostess/host were not welcoming. Our steaks were both undercooked, even according to the temps listed on the menu. They brought the wrong sides for our entrees, and our drinks were left empty for long than they should have been. Nothing was quality and I have no reason to ever want to go back.

Based on my trip last night, I would never recommend this place to anyone. There were two in my party, and we were never made to feel so unwanted or unwelcomed in a business ever. Bartender did almost everything to avoid or ignore us. Surprised we even got fed. The steak and burger were cooked really well. That is my only compliment. The fries were so loaded with salt. Now they use shoestring fries. For those that are wondering why I didn't say anything while there? No one, including management seemed to want anything to do with us. That also seemed to hold true for the other two or three parties seated in the bar area. I don't think I have ever left zero tip anywhere before. They also appeared to be understaffed and had a little problem with not really wanting to be there, meaning the whole staff. It seems that way when the older blonde female manager is there (the one that ignored me and walked the other way when I tried to get her attention upon leaving).

Service started out terrible when sat ourselves in the bar. There were plenty of tables, but they were all dirty. It was Father's Day people! We started with some nice hot rolls and the "Pick 3" for some loaded potato skins, mozzarella sticks, and onion petals. The potato skins were probably the worst I've ever had. They were tiny and soggy. The mozzarella sticks were ok, but the marinara sauce was cold and watery. My bf and I shared the bbq plate. It was about $17 and not worth the price. It came with a 1/2 rack of dry, unseasoned ribs; overcooked, dry chicken breast; and pulled pork that looked gross (what no extra rolls for it?). For the sides, we had a salad and sweet potato fries. I found it odd that the dressing was already added and not on the side, like it usually is. I also ordered a bowl of Loaded Baked Potato Soup. It was the WORST EVER! There were absolutely no potato chunks in there, not even tiny pieces. It was just the soup base with bacon and cheese added.

Yup. Its food. Not good food, but it'll do in a pinch. My daughter likes the peanut gimmick. That's the only reason we come here. Beer selection is poor. Food was like warm. Rubbery shrimp. I ordered a barrel cut steak. I guess the cooks weren't confident in the temperature because it came to me cut in half. Who does that?

Save your $$$. If you can afford to eat at Logan's, you can afford a MUCH BETTER steak, food, & experience at a *non-chain* W. Lafayette/Lafayette steakhouse. If you are going to stick with *chain,* go to Outback's.

Went to Logan's yesterday and was impressed. Given the reviews on Yelp, I did not go in with high expectations. With that said, here are my thoughts on Logan's: In terms of service, it was excellent. The waitress made sure we had rolls and filled cups on the table at all times. She was also very helpful to us in giving recommendations of what to get. When we received our food, she asked those who ordered meat, to please cut their meat to make sure it was cooked as requested. And since we loved the rolls so much, she gave us each a takeout box with two rolls for everyone in the group (7 of us). The food itself was delicious. The rolls were right off the oven that we kept eating as many as our waitress would bring (alongside the unlimitted nuts on the table) as we waited for our entrees. I had the terriyaki chicken with an order of half ribs. The chicken itself was good, but not memorable. The ribs however were spectacular. Next time I go, they are on my "must get" list. Everyone in my group was pleased with their food, whether it was red meat or fish. They also have a long list of sides to choose from for each entree (you are given two choices). Granted, the 5 stars given are based on one positive good experience at Logan's, so do keep in mind that a considerable number of the reviews do point to poor service, so anticipate the possibility that it may not be as great as I have painted it to be.

My wife and I came here for dinner. After driving up & down the road a bit (we're on vacation) we selected this restaurant. The crowded parking lot contributed to our making this our dinner choice. Overall, the service was friendly and good. During the meal, the waitress and, I guess, a manager, came by to see how things were. When the steaks were brought to the table, we were asked to cut into them to make sure they were cooked to order, which they were. While waiting for the salads to arrive, I munched on the peanuts. A can is provided for the shells. That ain't as fun as tossing them onto the floor. The peanuts were only so-so. Not great and not bad, but something to put into the empty stomach. The waitress brought some bread to the table, but we saved that for the salads. The salads were okay...nothing special, just average. My wife ordered the 8 oz. Black Angus sirloin with mac&cheese. She said it was good. I ordered the 12 oz. ribeye/shrimp combo with fries. The shrimp was not at all crisp nor hot, but warm enough to heat. The ribeye started out okay, but by the time I got to the other end of the steak, it was more dry than it should have been. My wife would have given this restaurant a 3 1/2 star rating. My experience was that it only rated 2 1/2 stars. That comes out as an average, not great, not really bad, 3 star meal. Would I come back again? Probably, but I wouldn't rush back when so many other restaurants exist in the area.

We had a work function here with 20 people with a reservation in the "fireplace room". They assigned one waitress to the whole group. She seemed to try, but failed to keep up. We were there for 25 minutes before she took our drink order. Afterward our glasses sat empty or we went up to the drink station and got our own refills. Meanwhile four Logan's employees were having a peanut fight by the front door. Maybe one or two of the peanut warriors could have helped our absentee waitress. The room was ice cold. During a rare waitress sighting we asked to warm it up, to no avail. The fireplace is strictly for show and puts out zero heat. We asked to substitute grilled shrimp instead of breaded and the waitress told us "we are not allowed to change anything from the menu because the district manager said". Steaks ordered medium-rare were burnt to a crisp. Shrimp showed up raw. Logan's has gone down hill. We won't be going back.

This used to be my 'go-to' steak place in Lafayette. Then I had several take out orders come out totally wrong AND a couple dine in orders as well. Let me just say that I am a meat eating girl and I think a steak should just about be able to moo at me for it to be properly cooked. I will, however, eat a steak I ordered rare that came to the table medium rare and not complain. The last order I placed was for take out. As always, I ordered my steak rare and the sides that came with were more-or-less ok. The steak however was well done. Barf. I have made my displeasure known on more than one occasion and the response from management has been to comp my next meal. This is one freebie that will never be redeemed by me. It's too bad this place has gone down hill so much in the last few years.

LOTS of DELICIOUS food for a very CHEAP price. Humongous portions! It's the type of restaurant where you can throw peanut shells on the floor. Their food is delicious, including their steak. Go there, you won't regret it.

As a disclaimer, I'm not a huge chain restaurant fan. I thought I'd buy my bride a steak supper as a change of pace. We also had our sons with us (ages 2 and 4). It was a Sunday evening 7pm meal and the restaurant was at 35% capacity. I ordered boneless wings and sweet potato fries, she ordered 8oz sirloin, kiddos each got small burger and fries. A few minutes after order was placed the waitress came to let me know that they were out of boneless wings. I ordered chicken tenders instead (which came with fries) and I asked to substitute cheese sticks since I was having sweet potato fries that I'd ordered earlier. When the food came out, my son had sweet potato fries, so we had to re-order the regular fries. I thought the portions were small, even for the price. My bride's steak was quite a bit more spicy than she was used to, but was cooked correctly. I could tell my chicken was frozen, then put in the fryer and over-cooked. The boys didn't eat much of their burgers, but after sampling them I understood why.......I wouldn't eat that salty of a burger either. I was less than pleased with the blinds by our table having dust on them so thick that you could easily write your name on the slats. That's just gross. While I won't avoid the place like the plague, it'll likely be quite a while before I return to a Logan's in any city. It had been three years since I last ate at this particular establishment and I thought things were much better 3 years ago. If you have a coupon, maybe it's worth it. If you're looking for a good meal with quality ingredients, look elsewhere.

Okay. It's a chain restaurant. I don't really expect much, but I'm not overly impressed with Logan's. I've been here multiple times, mostly because it's just a "place to go" and they have pretty good coupons--I've had a few buy one, get one free coupons from there. Last night my husband and I decided to go based on one of those coupons. We ordered nachos, and I also got a half-rack of ribs with a house salad and a baked potato. The nachos were really good, but I'm probably pretty easily pleased in that area. Melted cheese, chips, whatever else--it's hard to go wrong. The ribs were decent, too; not the best I've ever had, but certainly not the worst. I was really disappointed in the salad and baked potato. The "salad" consisted of lettuce, bacon crumbles, and tomato, and was absolutely drenched in dressing. I seem to remember that they used to add onion, carrots, hard-boiled egg, and all sorts of other tasty things to their salad. The baked potato seemed underdone, which was pretty disappointing. The rolls, though--ohhh, heaven in a breadbasket. I almost want to go to Logan's and just get a drink so I can dive into those rolls. The service was pretty good, though our waiter seemed really confused by a lot of the things we were asking. When I asked for onion with my baked potato, he had to be reminded to bring it and then brought out some red onion. I mean, he did bring onion--but it's not really the kind you eat with a basic baked potato. He was on top of filling our drinks, and the food came out quickly--so I really can't complain about the service.

Ordered 2 old-fashioned cheeseburgers and loaded baked potato soup for take-out. Burgers were cold but good and the fries were cold but not so good. I think they had been sitting out for awhile because they were a bit chewy. We also found a mystery marshmallow in one of our boxes.

This place is generally not terrible. Considering you're paying around 15 dollars for a steak and two sides, some bread and peanuts, getting something that isn't entirely shoe leather is an automatic 4. And let's be honest, if you look at the average customer who frequents this fine establishment, you can tell, they'd rather have a full stomach than something particularly tasty, The only real issue I have is that if you go for dinner, they will consistently undercook your food. This combined with how horribly chewy the meat is, can make going to Logan's more of a jaw exercise than a meal. Still not terrible, and the service itself is good though it can be slow. Not the most attentive wait staff.

The family all met at Logan's from all over Indiana and were flabbergasted by the incredibly bad service tonight. First when ordering drinks a margarita came without salt we asked for salt and when we got it back the bartender had dumped a large amount of salt into the drink making it so salty we couldn't drink it. After several minutes for out waitress to arrive to take our order, we were told a long list of items on the menu that were out of. With only a few items on the menu to order I got the Logan's steak which was described as the biggest and best steak on the menu. I ordered it medium rare. It came back so overlooked and also extremely salty that I couldn't eat it and the cut if steak was comparable to a hamburger partty. Te fries that came with it were also stale as they have obviously sat under a heat lamp for quite some time. Every member of the family had something wrong with their meal and no one was able to take more than a bite or two of their food. My mother got sick after a second bite and tried to go use the restroom which she said smelt horrible. She then went out to the car and other family members followed her because they too were sick from the food tonight. I just paid for the meal and we got out of there before anything else happened. We went home hungry and sick tonight. We will never return to Logan's Roadhouse and discourage anyone else from going there.

Not cool! I've had burgers (not good beef, a weird taste) and steak there and I wasn't impressed. First the food: the salad and bread is the best thing, and Outback and Texas Roudhouse are better. As mentioned above, the hamburgers had a weird taste (my friends agreed), and the one time I ordered a steak was a really unbelievable experience. I called to order a pick-up and I asked how much the sirloin was, I was told 12.99, and while I think that's a bit high (6 oz) it's the closest steakhouse and it had been a rough day. So I said "Ok I'll have that well done", apparently she heard "I'll have the 12oz". When I got there, a couple minutes after the quoted time frame, I was told my total was $36. WTF! She told me I had ordered the 12 oz ribeye, and I said nope and she just looked at me like I was crazy (why would I ask how much something was then order something else?). But, like I said it was a long day and I wasn't up for an argument, so I paid. I then proceeded to sit there for 30 minutes. I'm soo pissed! She totally acted like it was done and it seems like it wasn't even started! That being said, it was a good steak but the potato was cold. On to the service. Obviously I wasn't treated to a normal experience, but when I got there the 5 hostesses kind of ignored me, both times I went and once I was with a group. Also, both times I went it was nearly empty. It was impossible to get a refill or to see the same server twice. Finally, I'm sorry but when you have a misunderstanding like the one with my takeout order you go to the manager and ask if something can be done, even if the customer doesn't make a big deal. Instead she just looked at me and asked if I still wanted the order when I told her she had it wrong. Very unpleasant experience in general, and while the Outback is usually more expensive, I'll gladly give them my business.
