My stepson was in from Texas and wanted some Asian food. We had been wanting to try this place for a long time. So happy we did. The staff was sweet and helpful, the food was excellent and plentiful. Looking forward to visiting again.

This is by far one of the best places to get sushi. I haven't tried a better spicy tuna roll anywhere else an the service is great. Plus...saki! Oh, and the option to have a small bowl of free ice cream after a meal scores points with me.

For Indiana. . Not bad. Would come again. Not going to brag about it to my friends in Colorado or LA.

Absolutely amazing sushi dishes!! Visiting kokomo for the first time and I was craving for some sushi and found this great little Japanese restaurant. All the sushi rolls are authentic and tasty. Fish was very fresh. Definitely a must visit place to eat at kokomo. I will be back for more.

Green Dragon roll was delicious and I was surprised by the slightly mild kick it had. I also had gyoza and miso soup, both of which were fair. The service was friendly and fast.

This place is amazing. Friendly staff, great good and well priced. I have nothing negative to say and would recommend this place to anyone that loves Japanese food. Best place in Kokomo and even better than any place in my home town of Lafayette.

Wow! Salmon Teriyaki... So light, so tender and melt in your mouth goodness. Don't let formalities hinder your experience just eat and experience. Yakitoris! Rolls! Sobu! Saki! So very delicious! Hope this place is here forever!

The sushi is amazing. Beautiful presentation, delicious food, and reasonable pricing. There are plenty of options, and even vegetarian/cooked options for the less adventurous. The chicken katsu was perfection. Miso soup comes with just about everything...which is good if you love it, but I'm not a huge miso soup fan. Both dining-in and carry-out service was great. I think I've been there 5 or 6 times, and the food has been consistently excellent. It was packed on Valentine's Day, and the food was still fantastic. The chef even made us a little free appetizer because we had to wait a bit longer than normal for our food. I am thrilled to find sushi of this quality in Kokomo! They have booths, tables for larger groups, and (my favorite) you can eat at the sushi bar. They are located behind CVS on Dixon at Sycamore.

The food and presentation was as good as I'd expect from Benihana's or PF Chang's. The wait staff appeared genuinely interested in insuring we had a great experience (no, they're not from Japan). The atmosphere or ambiance wasn't real exciting but its in a strip mall, what the heck! I had the Hibachi Shrimp and it was brought to the table in less than 10 minutes. The price was 1/3 what I expected to pay and I do plan on coming back.

Great authentic Japanese food in Kokomo? You can't be serious! Get over to Tokyo Japanese and check it out. We had a variety of food and shared amongst the four of us. We liked the seaweed and cucumber salad. The maki rolls we tried were good including the sea and green dragon. The salmon combo was good because the fish was fresh but it isn't near as exciting with just fish and rice. The prices and the service was good especially because we got a free scoop of ice cream. Check out the lunch specials from 11-3. The food is 4-4.5 stars and the service and price are 5 stars. I rounded up on the review overall because you can't find anything like this around.

For the city of Kokomo - this is a 5-star place to be. Prices are reasonable to a medium size city. The miso soup was excellent and really hit the spot. Ambiance - excellent. Music (usually oldies) playing in the background. Had the rainbow roll and spicy tuna hand roll. The sushi tasted very fresh on a Thursday afternoon. The spicy tuna had a different color than I'm use to but still good nonetheless. Servers did not speak perfect English but man give them credit for trying to explain what was in each roll to you. Big (+) for effort.

I love this place! I got at least once (or twice... or thrice) a month with friends! A bit expensive, seeing as I'm in college and on a budget but it is a nice little splurge once in a while. I've only had the miso soup, Maki rolls and today for the first time, a bento box! Favorite maki rolls that I recommend: Oh my god Indiana Tiger Excellent service, nice environment, clean! Enjoy!

This is really a top notch place, especially for Kokomo. Probably my vote for the best sushi in town and they have a good variety. It's a bit pricey but they do have coupons often enough and it's worth the money for the quality and variety of options. The restaurant is a bit dark and conjures up images of Osaka for me. It would be ideal for an intimate date, if you have a group I'd get it to go. Their carryout is well packaged. Definitely worth a trip if you love Japanese food you will find something you like here.

The interior design is like that of many restaurants in Japanese department stores, which is fine. Serving the miso beforehand with spoons in it was not the normal Japanese way (I spent 16 years in Japan and was married to a Japanese: miso comes with food, without spoon), but who really cares? The fried gyouza, tempura, and katsudon (the edges were a bit hard) were all nicely done. The staff aren't Japanese, but they do a good job at Japanese food.
