I went here for lunch with a group, and Ruby Tuesday was somebody else's idea. Personally, I am not a big fan of the place. The only location where I live, about a 45 minute drive from here, closed years ago and never came back. The last time I went to a Ruby Tuesday's was a couple of years ago in Florida, and I had a bad experience. But here I go with a large group for lunch, hoping it turn out OK. I opted for the salad bar, which they call a Garden Bar and emphasize that when you order it. I thought it was the best option based on my previous visits. Ruby Tuesday's salad bar is not bad. Not great. Not memorable, Just not bad. The items on the bar looked fresh except for one of the salad choices looked brown. otherwise the salad bar was well filled, clean, and fresh. My lunch companions ordered salads either from the menu or the bar. The salads with chicken, either fried or grilled, looked good and came with a lot of chicken. One person ordered a cheeseburger and it was not served correctly. Apparently "with cheese only and nothing else" has a different meaning in Kokomo. And for the record, the server was new and being trained by a manager. The manager helped her every step of the way, and besides the mistake on the cheeseburger order, everything else was fine. The food came reasonably fast, and for a party of nine people we were served and finished eating in less than an hour after being seated. However, the place was not super busy so that would have been the minimum expectation. Just because of my history with Ruby Tuesday's, I doubt I would go back. It's just an average restaurant serving average food, although the prices are reasonable.

Bad experience from beginning to end. The hostess ignored our seating request to waiting far too long to take our order or serve our meals when they weren't that busy including a slow but very friendly waiter. Then the order was wrong and while the waiter offered to correct it by that time we had had enough. Not going back there.

The service was okay, prices reasonable, and the salad bar was good. I've heard the ribs are really good...so if you go there, try that out. Unfortunately, I made a bad choice and ordered fish - in Kokomo. We're not by an ocean, so I don't know why I thought it would be good...but it was served to me completely frozen & raw in the middle. I never send things back, but this wasn't edible. So the chef reheated the same piece of fish and brought it back to me on the same plate. It was gross. I wish I could've ordered something else instead, but I didn't want to make a scene so I just ate salad bar stuff instead. They didn't give me a discount on the bill. I'll never be back even though friends keep telling me how good the ribs are. I just don't want to risk it!

I've been to this location twice. The first time the service was good, and so was the food. I was impressed. The second time not so much. The salad bar the second time was pathetic! Brown lettuce in a salad bar? Ew! Our waitress seemed completely disinterested. For the restaurant being almost empty our food took way too long. Won't have to go back to this Ruby Tuesday again.

Ruby Tuesday never seems to get the first impression right. Hostess was too busy talking to friends when we arrived. I thought she was a customer. Finally sat us down. Server was very good, helped to recover from first impression. Salad bar was excellent, as usual. We both ordered the petite sirloin. Steaks were very good, maybe just a bit over salted. Sides were fine. Restaurant was not well managed. A large party with lots of kids had just left as we were leaving. That area was not cleaned up until after our meal was served - must have been 20-30 minutes. I guess nobody wanted to tackle the mess. I almost left after visiting the bathroom. I have not seen a bathroom that bad since I was at a ball park in the middle of the summer.

I do love me some Ruby Tuesday--their guacamole is delicious and I crave their salad bar ever since the RT in town closed down. Sadly, this RT doesn't quite live up to my expectations. The last time husband and I went, we ordered a guacamole appetizer to share and each got the soup and salad bar. My soup was almost inedible; it was chicken tortilla and tasted like a recipe gone wrong. The salad bar wasn't refreshed the entire time we were there; the crouton bowl (mmmm, Ruby's croutons) was empty. Our server was pleasant enough but didn't want to be there. Overall it was a disappointing night, as we drove from Lafayette just for this.

The Ruby Tuesday in Kokomo offers your pretty normal Ruby Tuesday experience. The service is courteous if normally a bit slow. I've never been big on their "famous" salad bar, but the burgers are pretty good. Recommended for a cheap night out.

The famous salad bar was good, but I didn't think it lived up to the hype. One of the best Spinach Dips I've ever had at a chain restaurant.
