A local chain with better quality than National Chains. Side items are absolutely amazing, and the chicken itself is terrific. No problems or issues in numerous visits.

First time at Indi's the other night. My husband and I had late night cravings for fried chicken which we eat maybe 1 time every few months. We wanted KFC but they were already closed. These reviews helped me decide to try Indi's out. First- drive thru workers are usually kind of rude, but this worker was really nice! Second- I'm from South Carolina, grew up with some great fried chicken and I have to say this is some of the worst that I've had. Got some spicy wings and a 3 piece dinner. My husbands 3 piece dinner was okay, he's not very picky but my spicy wings were so greasy I couldn't even eat them. Trust me I know with fried food, you get grease, but every bite was terrible. On the plus side, the huge wedges were good! Although next time we get fried chicken.. No more Indi's!

Notice: this review is specifically for the Jeffersonville, Indiana location, not other locations. Several times, I've gone here, and had to wait 10 minutes or longer at the drive thru window for my order. While on a short, 30 minute lunch break, mind you. In addition, after about five times going there at 10pm or after and being told they only have cole slaw, wedges and potato salad or macaroni salad available as sides, I decided this place wants no more of my patronage. By the way, they don't close til midnight, and I was told by a female employee that they stop serving regular hot sides at "9:30 or 10:00" every night. How bogus. Won't be stopping there ever again. Had to go all the way across the bridge to Louisville to get to a location that serves the regular sides through closing time. The food is good at all locations I've visited. The service is simply sorely lacking. I also want to add that at the Jeffersonville, Indiana location, in the drive-thru, just before you reach the window to pick up your order, there is a yellow pole planted so close to drive-thru traffic that it is easy to sideswipe and damage your vehicle. I can see from damage on the pole that it has been sideswiped on occasion.

This review is for the Jeffersonville location. I will say that first and foremost I am a fried chicken fanatic. Growing up we ate fried chicken for snacks! No bologna at our house lol. Indi's has some great fried chicken. But it is inconsistent. Some days It's so good, I can't get enough, while at other times it is not worth putting in your mouth. The other big complaint I have which they are pretty consistent with is the size of the wings. They are miniscule! You have to buy a lot of them cause they are so tiny! As others have stated, the wedges are super.

This is Indi-ana fast food, not Indian fast food, in case some were wondering about what's to offer with the name Indi's against the odd colored stripes on the restaurant roof, and one of the local eats that had me panic thinking "what should I do if I can't have it anymore?" if I ever move out of Kentuckiana one day. I normally don't voluntarily eat fried chicken unless someone offers it to me as a treat, but wings are my fav part of a chicken, and when my colleague one day offered me a bite of Indi's spicy wings, it completely hit my spot in craving for Indi's every now and then, and when this place that's nearest my apartment shut down an eternal three months for renovation, just to add a drive-thru for people driving in their pajamas, no alternative wings could satisfy my visceral cry for the one and only bulletproof window protected fried spicy wings in Southern Indiana unless I drive over to Louisville. Now this place has reopened, I'm back! Spicy wings and wedges! How you make my taste buds burst and my stomach roll!

Greasy mess! The spicy keel is what I've ordered twice at this restaurant and each time I was sick within hours of eating. There will be no third time for me.

Indi's is getting better in Jeff! Love the one in louisville but this one took some time. Make sure to keep those wedges crunchy on the outside, wings fresh and sides as well.

In honor of National Fried Chicken Day I finally decided to try Indi's, a semi-local fast food restaurant that is known for it's fried chicken, spicy chicken, and potato wedges. Between my boyfriend and myself we tried the regular fried chicken leg, thigh, and breast, the spicy chicken wing, potato wedges, mac and cheese, and the rolls. The chicken was by far the highlight of the meal. The fried skin was very crispy and delicious while the chicken was all extremely moist. KFC is really no match to this chicken. The other standout item was the potato wedges which were huge and spicy. They are a must try item at Indi's. The mac and cheese was disappointing as it was probably from a boxed mix and the rolls were pretty much a throw away. They also only give you a spork to eat with which is really not sufficient for fried chicken especially when the skin is very crispy like theirs is. Be prepared to eat the chicken with your fingers if you dine in. I will note that the service was excellent at this location. We dined in and the staff came out from behind the counter and asked us twice if we needed drink refills and whether we were enjoying our food. That was a pleasant unexpected surprise in a fast food restaurant. Both my boyfriend and I agreed that Indi's is our new go-to place for fried chicken.
