Only found this place because of yelp and I'm glad I did. Went with coworkers who'd lived in the area for years and had never even heard of it. Harley's defines the term 'Hidden Gem' - it has some of the best bbq I've ever tasted but you'd never notice it tucked away in a quiet shopping plaza. I ordered the "dinner plate" with brisket, which comes with two sides. I went with the mac 'n cheese and cole slaw, which were both tasty. But the meat here steals the show. My coworkers went with pulled pork, and we were all equally impressed. Brisket came dry but was so juicy I really didn't need sauce. Pulled pork came smothered in BBQ sauce. Service is fast and friendly, and you can't beat the price. I think I spent less than $9 for the platter & drink, and left fat and happy. My new favorite spot. Never change!

Thanks to Yelp found this little place when I had to change hotels. Enjoyed talking Q with the owner! Had the sausage, brisket and ribs with Mac & cheese and potato salad. Got more than I could eat! Also got to try one of the smoke wings. Those will be on my plate next time!!! Enjoyed all of the food. A lot better than the chain Q places in the area. Come give this place a try!

Get the chili. It is great! I also ordered the brisket roast and it was fine but I like meat and not fat. mine was half of each in my serving and I am grossed out by fat. I am not going to eat it. Does anyone actually eat the fat chunks?? I can't even imagine that. I put a picture up so you can see I literally mean 1/2 & 1/2. I loved the chili. It has a different taste and I don't know what it is but it is good. I would definitely go back for the chili! Good mac-n-cheese too. Definitely worth a try.

There is nothing better than spinning the Wheel of Fortune also known as the Yelp search engine when in an unfamiliar area to find a new place. In this case a business trip to Louisville put me in the southern Indiana area and looking for BBQ. Yelp said..."Harley's Hardwoodz BBQ". Oooo-kay. Located in close enough proximity to the Interstate (since just passing thru) I found easily enough. Located in a small strip mall; definitely no frills type of place. Yelp sticker on door (in Jeffersonville?!)...good sign. Smokers in back...very good sign. Awards on the wall...bonus. Ordered 3 meat platter (brisket, sausage, smoked wings) and mac/cheese with beans. Only two sauces at the counter (one sweet, one spicy). Food came out promptly. I would only give the meat 2.5 stars honestly. I've just had much better than this. The brisket wasn't cut against the grain (big minus here) and was a bit overcooked. It reminded me more of a pot roast than brisket. The sausage was OK but I suspect was a store brand cooked in the smoker. I did like the smoked wings; good bark and flavor. Just slightly dry. Mac/cheese and beans were serviceable. Overall it was OK for a local place and if I lived in the area I would probably have this on a regular rotation. It's definitely a bunch of local guys that started this up so big props for that alone. Just not a great BBQ meal but something I would try again.

Ribs-Phenomenal Pulled Pork-Great Brisket-Below Average Pork Chili-Delicious. I didn't really know much about this place as I had never heard of it nor saw it. My coworkers actually told me about it and bought some of their pickles for us to try which were pretty great as well. Spicy, but great. Anyway, when I called in my order one day before I left work I actually spoke to the owner and he is the one that took my order. He seemed really nice. When I went to pick the other up later, the owner is the one that checked me out as well. He was super nice, friendly, and really seemed to take pride in his business and food. I definitely will be returning to get some more of those ribs!

Outstanding smoked food. Quick service with helpful staff. They kind of have bankers hours but it's understandable. Wish they had fountain drinks.

I opted for the three meat combo, with (clockwise from top) pork ribs, hand pulled pork, and beef brisket. Sides of Mac and cheese and chili. Considering the price, the portions of meat were very generous (strangely more generous than the sides). The pulled pork was juicy... however the fact that they only add the bbq at the lady minute leaves it trading a bit more meaty and less bbq marinated than I'd prefer. The ribs were of the same design... tiny but dry, but still meat falls off the bone... but served again with no sauce, robbing you if the jou of caramelized bbq sauce on the meat. You have to add your own after. The sauces are great, but can't make up for caramelized bbq sauce you get when sauce is added during the cook. The brisket was the star of the show. Best thing by far. Fantastic smoked flavor, great texture, moist and just awesome. Had I paid more, I would have given four stars, but considering the price, this is am amazing deal, and with a few tweaks, could be untouchable!

I'm not a big BBQ eater, but this place was great! I had the BBQ chicken dinner plate. It was tasty. I also loved the sweet BBQ sauce. And the guys were super friendly! Loved it!

I've been going to Harleys for years now and I felt that the five star rating was deserved years ago. Now I am looking for the sixth star. I believe I was on my 11th visit before I had tried anything other than the ribs. I am happy to report the brisket, big n tasty, chili, and Harley dog are all exceptional. I try to visit Harleys once a week and a lot of weeks that is the only place I go. The restaurant has that hole in the wall feeling but its very clean. I'm so amazed that so many people have yet to try this place. I've taken many people there for their first visit and its easy to get them to go the second time. If your looking for some good BBQ give Harley's a try. If your looking for atmosphere and gimmicks there are plenty of places with substandard BBQ you can try. Honestly the worst thing about eating Harley's is it can turn you into a BBQ snob.

Love the beef brisket and pulled pork...just the right amount of smoke flavor with very good sauces. The have regular and spicy sauce...I like em both. The sides here are very good as well. I generally go for the baked beans and cole slaw but I'm a bit of a traditionalist.

I truly enjoyed this little spot. Need to def go back soon. The wings and brisket is awesome, nice smokey flavor. Love their BBQ sauces too.

Their pulled pork sandwich was delicious! Huge, juicy, and filling. Reasonably priced. The location doesn't do them justice. The decor isn't as flattering as chain restaurants, but chain restaurants don't have as good a fare as Harley's. They have magazines to read, and a chess set if you want to just hang out. We also loved the ribs and wings. We'll be going back again soon. Family friendly.

I can't believe I've just found this place, I've been eating sub par brisket from chain BBQ joints, what a shame. My little brother and I decided to get lunch here, he had the ribs and Mac, and this 10 year old inhaled his food. He loved it. I had the brisket. Brisket so good I literally went back a day later and picked up a pound of brisket and a pint of Mac. You walk in and your mouth waters when the smell hits you. Then you are greeted by Harley, such a sweet guy. Very nice both times I came in and was very gracious and thankful for the compliments on the food. I highly recommend.

AWESOME! Everything was tasty. Ribs, green beans, baked bean and mac & cheese were all very good. Do yourself a favor and go to Harley's. You won't regret it. Price and quality beats the "big name" BBQ places.

I found this gem by accident. The second I walked in, I knew the food was great. You can't mistake the aroma of good BBQ. I had the 3 meat combo with ribs, brisket, and chicken. All were great, with my favorite being the brisket. Moist and flavorful. I also got a couple of wings, too. I NW have a new favorite place!!! Lastly, the customer service was really good too. You can't beat good food prepared and served by nice people.

Arrived in Jeffersonville tonight on our way to Charleston, SC, and looked to Yelp for recommendations for great BBQ. The minute we walked into Harleys, the amazing BBQ smell welcomed us in. It did not disappoint. The sandwiches were wonderful and the side dishes were very tasty. Thanks for our first great BBQ on our trip South from Wisconsin.
