My family of 6 and I have only recently discovered WB Pizza. We have been tremendously impressed by the friendliness of the staff, food quality, timeliness and pricing. Most of all they have vegan (& nut free) options that don't translate to zero taste as is common. I highly recommend it.

Yay! Finally a pizza place I like in Indy! I wanted to try something new and my husband wanted pizza so I looked at yelp and found this place. We ordered the Chicago style cheese pizza. It was ready really fast. I was worried at first because I am used to Chicago style pizza from Lou Malnati's which is in Chicago and that pizza has to be in the oven for quite a bit of time. Either way the pizza was really good. The cheese was good and the dough was good as well. It was a little more doughy than crispy but that is probably because its cooked differently. My husband liked that alot! We cant wait to order from there again

Great Pizza. Looking forward to the 86th shop opening for a closer commute.

It's not very often that a business of any kind can violate one of my core values as a human being and still receive a 5-star rating. Now then, to be fair to WB, they don't so much violate this value as they dance right on the edge of it. That value? Accessibility. While the restaurant itself is pretty accessible, WB is located in a small strip center at the corner of 62nd & Allisonville Road along with a Subway, a nail place, and I believe a liquor store. I believe there's a wheelchair ramp on the liquor store end, but not on the WB end and no where in the middle of the building. Accessible parking is also fairly minimal. In short, someone truly dependent for access would need help to access their business. I hate that. I really do. I'm also in a wheelchair, but I'm pretty adaptable and mobile. So, I can make it work. I typically park at the end of the building closest to WB and there's a small jump up the curb that most folks in manual wheelchairs could make. It's definitely more challenging in the winter. There's outside seating for 3-4 tables and, again, when these are taken it can be a bit challenging for a wheelchair to get through (though it has improved a bit). There's a single glass door into WB and an open concept dining area that has multiple spots a wheelchair can use. So, once you get in you should be fine. WB is a surprisingly small establishment. I'm aware that a second one briefly opened up on West 86th Street, but it shut down rather quickly. I'd love to see them in a better location, but I also do like the coziness of this place. They also offer delivery. As you've already learned from other reviews, they offer both vegetarian and vegan options and they are clearly marked. I went for lunch today and it seemed like they'd expanded their menu to include more appetizers, more sandwiches, and a brand new triple-layer chocolate cake. They have lunch specials M-F, but not on weekends. So, I ordered a personal sausage pizza with an unsweetened tea for right about $9. They have a couple different varieties of iced tea. For my money, there's no question that WB offers one of the best pizzas in town. It's definitely one of Indy's best kept secrets and I can't imagine a reason that a vegetarian or vegan wouldn't love it as it's fresh, quality food that meets the dietary requirement. I've got a friend who's a vegan who swears by the place. The service is always solid, though not necessarily in the "y'all come back now" way. It's friendly, efficient, and helpful. The guy who owns it has 30 years experience making pizza and it shows. This is not your cheap chain pizza, but an affordable yet well made pizza. It'll definitely set you back a little more than the chains, but it'll also leave you happier and healthier. Ordinarily, I'd be inclined to dock a star over the accessibility concerns but I have to say that in the case of WB it's worth a little hassle because I always enjoy myself and the food is always good. There are no distracting televisions, etc...this is a place where you go to dine and spend time with friends and loved ones. The decor is simple yet warm and always clean. When you talk about the best pizzas in Indy, there's no question that WB is on the list. Every kind I've tried has been top notch and it doesn't matter what day I arrive or what time I arrive, I'm always treated well and treated to a great meal.

Above and beyond customer service. Last night when I picked up my order the breadsticks were forgotten. I pull out and sat at the stop light, next thing you know the man was running out to in street to give me my food! saved me a trip back! I was so appreciative! I'll be going backon

Delicious thin crust pizza! The 12" inch size is perfect for two people, the sauce is very flavorful, good amount of cheese and the sausage is delicious! If you are looking for quality pizza, check out WB's! I am not local to Indianapolis, decided to try WB's based on other high reviews and we were not disappointed!

So I just moved to this side of town and am a bit under the weather so instead of cooking I decided to order in. I randomly picked this establishment since they were right down the street and delivered. That is one of THE BEST decisions I ever made. They have an expansive menu and also deliver Beer and Wine as well (double win!). I ordered the delightful Sausage Roll and severely underestimated The Grant Park deep dish. I could only eat 2 pieces and that says alot as I am a Hefty Mama that can put away alot of food shall my stomach allow. They have created a new regular!

YEEEEEEEUCK! I went there one time and that was the last time I would go. The pizza was burned on the bottom and tasted HORRIBLE! I have a friend that swears by this place. I think she needs to be checked in a Betty Ford because I hated it!!

As a vegan, I was thrilled by WB Pizza. The menu items clearly state which items are vegan and our server/waiter (it was a one-man show on a quiet Saturday evening) was very friendly and knowledgeable. Vegans can choose from breadsticks and a couple of other options for appetizers, and a plethora of pizzas/pastas and a stromboli option. WB Pizza offers Teese, which is a great vegan cheese alternative. (Teese is well worth the extra cost as a "topping".) WB also offers you the option of made-to-order deep dish, which is great because many deep dish pizzas already have the cheese baked into the crust. My wife and her sister got a regular cheese deep dish with some veggie toppings which they enjoyed as well. Drink refills were fast and though the decor was plain, the place was clean and that's all you could ask for. Would come here again, no problem.

How can I possibly be expected to stay healthy when wb's has vegan pizza and garlic butter sauce? Zero chance. It is so good and the staff is so knowledgable and helpful. It's really refreshing to go to a place that not only serves vegan food alongside the nonveg food and the staff is informed about these items and does not just guess. The seating area is small, yet comfortable, but if you're feeling lazy or don't want to venture out in the cool they'll deliver to you. The best part? Along with your pizza they'll bring beer and wine right to your door if you ask! Perfect for sweatpants and netflix marathons.

This was a really nice dining experience. Family enjoyed the vegan options. The crust was amazing on the pizza. I tried the turkey tetrazzini pizza and it was exactly what I had hoped and anticipated. Good beers. Not a moment wasted. Good service. I would come here again in a heartbeat.

Had the evening to myself and decided to try WB Pizza as recent reviews suggested it has one of the best deep dish pizzas in town. While I did enjoy the meal I think much of the praise is hyperbole. PROS: The meal was called in for take-out and the staff was very courteous, casual, and informative. They gave a 20 minute pick up time and the meal was ready as scheduled. While the exterior of the building is simple and unassuming, the interior is quaint and comfortable. It has a Brady Bunch meets San Fran hipster dive quality with mood lighting that comes through from the wood paneling and the diner tables. The stuffed bread was excellent; crispy outside and moist inside with spinach and bacon. The pizza (Le Marche) was flavorful and fairly fresh with a tasty wheat crust. The cannoli filling was soft and heavy on the cream (eggy) and a decent size. The shell was crisp but not cracker-like or mealy. One of the better cannoli I've had in the city. The take-out option is very nice. They even deliver! CONS: Although the deep dish style I had (Le Marche) was decent, the crust was soft and fluffy enough to give the illusion of 1/2 inch thick toppings. Not really 'deep'. The pizza was cooked well and flavorful but I feel as though I've had better deep dish in this city. The cannoli was advertised as being dusted with powdered sugar and ground chocolate. As seen in the pictures, there is no confectionery garnish. Not a significant issue due to the pleasant creaminess of the filling and the crisp shell. The price is debatable but I believe adequate for the quality and uniqueness of the dishes. The next time I choose to stop by I'll be dining in and choosing something wildly different if only because of the numerous options. Many of the entrees look/sound delicious. The specialty, specificity of the dishes, and the attitude/ambience will definitely bring me back.

If you ever wanted to feel the warmth of a good person (like your mom) and a really good pizza rush out to Kathy at WB Pizza. The food is awesome from the salad to the craft beers to the Italian sausage deep dish that is worth driving from Chicago to Indy. Indy's best kept secret ...that is if you want to feel all warm fuzzy from the inside...Family owned !!!! And you become part of Kathy's family as soon as you walk in.

OMG I finally found a truly delicious perfectly balanced pizza pie in Indianapolis! It's no wonder! Wb's owner is from Hammond, that close to Chicago you gotta know your pizza! The thin crust was delightfully packed with very fresh quality ingredients. We ordered one large (14") pepperoni, mild Italian sausage, and bacon pie. The food came out in great timing. The 8 slice pizza was fresh from the oven, with stringing cheese and a fresh sauce with visible bits of tomatoes and onions. Perfect amount of toppings and light in crust but the crust that was there was yummy. I'm still thinking about it. If I had to complain it's that there wasn't more of it! We frequent Roselli's in Carmel and they have a larger pie but the 4 inch difference is mostly crust.

WB's is my favorite place to eat, and favorite pizza. The food is delicious due to Will's (the creative chef) talent putting together tasty savory combinations. Love the super thin crust minis: chicken/pesto, "Monterey" (chicken/roasted red pepper/artichoke) & "Rave" (sausage/red onion/rrp). So many selections; so little time. I've dined at WB's 4 times in the last 6 wks. TLC attention from Will, Cathie and Michael is unmatched for friendliness and attention. This little Bistro may be small but it's big on personality and ambiance: cool vibe of 70ies rock and sophisticated yet simple decor. Cappuccino walls are adorned with original art. Tables and booths' ebony colors contrast nicely with the rest. Love the pasta salad which I have each visit - linguine & penne with healthy servings of tomatoes, red/green peppers, olives and fresh mushrooms, marinated in red pepper dressing. Don't forget to get a few of their delectable little bread sticks: fresh out of the oven, soft, HOT - served with either marinara, cheese or garlic butter sauce. How could you make a simple garlic butter sauce yummy? Don't overlook that one. So...if you made it through my chatty comments, know that I'm picky. Very picky. Eating at WB's is like eating at your Italian Grandma's home. Feel the love and go home feeling like you got a warm hug. Lisa

Don't drive by, stop in and grab a pizza to take home and be a hero. Scalloped crust edges. Double layer of cheese with toppings in between. Free packets of cheese and hots. Nice people inside, very friendly and helpful. And, without reservation, the best pizza I've had in Indiana.

I love the people here and all the vegan options. The staff is extremely friendly and really helpful when discussing vegan options. Their pizza, honestly, isn't the best I've ever had, but for the price it's pretty darn delicious. They have a soy cheese option (not daiya) and their garlic bread is DE-licious.

The menu says, "Substantially Better." I'd be hard pressed not to agree. Fresh ingredients make all the difference. This pizza tastes like people who care made it. The sauce doesn't have that metallic twinge like it's "fresh" out of the garden o' cans. Salty meat and tender veggies waltz harmoniously with gooey cheese on a sturdy yet pillowey stage of crust... That's it! I've used up all of my imagery for this review. . ok, but seriously. The menu is jam packed with flavorful appetizers and crisp salads and mouth-watering sandwiches and wonderful desserts... Trust me, "Leave the gun. Take the Cannoli." This cannoli is soooooo good, my wife and I opted out of a wedding cake and had them make an outrageous number of them in in mini form.... Of which we still didn't get any. As far as local pizzerias go, WB is among the top of my list. You'd be foolish not to stop in.

I've been here like a million times, I can't believe I never posted a review, I thought I already did. But anyway this is our favorite pizza joint in town! It's my favorite by far, everything is fresh and it's locally owned and operated. I highly suggest the bacon and the sweet Italian sausage! The sauce is what really makes the pizza here, I think that and the dough are excellent!! Sometimes when I bring people here they complain about the prices, but you're paying for quality and excellent ingredients over franchise pizza which is made with a bunch of byproducts. Also they have a carry out special I believe for pizza and breadsticks.

We got a 9" Chicago style. It wasn't traditional Chicago style when it came to the crust and sauce but it was still pretty tasty. I got a slice of cheesecake which was divine. They have a really cool discount card that earns you free food!

I decided to check this place out after reading reviews. I ordered the Napoli 9 inch pizza for pick up. The pizza reminded me of Chicago.....it was great. Went here with a friend and was impressed with how accommodating they have were to vegetarian and vegan diets. Vegan olive loaf? Yes! We ordered a vegan / meat lovers side by side pizza to save money and they did a GREAT job making sure the two sides were separated. The food was very good. If you're vegan and you "miss" pizza, this is a place you can check out in a group without making your friends feel like you're trying to hippy-tize them. On top of this they carry some local brews, I believe only in bottles though.

It's so easy to drive past this place and not notice. Located in a small strip mall on Allisonville and 62nd St. We usually stop at the other pizza place very close to this location. Can't believe there are two awesome pizza/pasta places in such close proximity to each other! Is that legal?? We started with the olive loaf with marinara and garlic butter sauces. It was olives tucked in pizza dough and baked.... wasn't too impressed...but the marinara is excellent. I like the fennel in it... We got a deep dish upside down San Diego on stone ground whole wheat crust. Usually jalapenos on pizza don't have much of a kick to it and in a few bites I am reaching for the red pepper flakes. But not this one.... the crust was perfect not too doughy pizza and the sweet marinara and spicy jalapenos really complement each other. I saved room for cheesecake and boy was I not disappointed! Got the blackberry cheesecake, it was light and not too sugary sweet.

I can't lie: I was sold by the Yelp reviews. While I hear the the deep dish is amazing, the regular crust is kind of mediocre. This wasn't just coming from me, but the others at the table who all ordered 9" pizzas. The pros are that the sauce is amazing; it has a depth of flavor that tastes like it has been cooking all week. I did like the soy cheese option as well as it had a better flavor than Daiya(I think it is called Teese). Our diner counterpart loved the chicken parm, and had enough to eat for the next day as the portion was huge. This is a very small local pizza joint, but alright. I think that the deep dish is where it is at as most of the reviews point that out. I like that they have vegan options. I think that they need to have beer on draft. Worth another trip as I know what to order now.

The food is very good. However, don't waist your money on the breadsticks. I've made that mistake, they are tiny and costly. You pretty much pay for crumbs. But other then they they cost a bit too much money but have a okay preferred customer program. Nice people and fantastic food, excluding serving size.

This is one of the best pizza places in town! I have had the regular crust AND the deep dish and had a smile eating both! NEVER have to ask for extra cheese, it just comes deliciously cheesy already. The sausage roll is absolutely to die for, and worth coming back to life if you get sauce to dip it in lol I will go back to this place again and again and again! It beats Grambolis Pizza like the Pacers beat the Knicks! lol Corny but its all I could think of right now...too much WB on the brain.

I was so glad to find this place-- one of the few pizza joints in Indy that have multiple vegan options! Called in my order but when I stopped in, I was told the pizza got a little burnt. No biggie, they started on another... but then realized that one was a size smaller than what I had prepaid for. The manager ended up giving me a nice discount AND an order of vegan breadsticks, leaving me very impressed with their customer service. Usually soy cheese tastes pretty crappy, but this was actually quite good... I'll be back!

This is, hands down, the best pizza in town! The food is fresh and delicious - they even have vegan cheese on the menu. :-) Deep dish pizzas can sometimes take a little longer to come out, but they are definitely worth the wait. The owner's wife is a joy to visit with and the classic rock station is a plus.

Quality, fresh ingredients. Great lunch specials. I took my mom once and she loved it. That's saying a lot, because she typically goes to chains.

We went here looking for a good pick your own pizza topping and style after just moving to town. Seeing all the good reviews I figured it was worth a try, and I was not disappointed! Really good pizza dough and sauce. Good topping list with usuals and surprises like Italian beef! The staff was very friendly, they were slower when we went in and it was nice being able to chat and come up with a good pizza idea. Also amazing cheesecake. A real home made surprise. I would go back just for it, or for pizza too! We have been here a few times now, and in terms of a non fancy pizza this place is awesome. The tomato sauce makes this as good as it is. The crust on the thick crust is doughy and delicious. Also their pumpkin cheesecake is still to die for. Not fancy but tasty! The sausage roll is cheesey and delicious too! Ask for a side of sauce though.

One of my favorite, if not my favorite, pizza places in Indianapolis. Food (get the "Grant Park" deep dish, and substitute bacon for green peppers) is always good, atmosphere and decor is odd (think Jackson Pollock-style paint splatters on linoleum floors) but somehow comforting (and I like that they always have copies of the Broad Ripple Gazette), and service and staff (there's been very little turn over in the 5+ years we've been going to WB) are awesome.

Ate here for the first time tonight. Happy with everything! Great service. Husband had Le Marche on thin crust. Crispy bottom and enough char for flavor. I had puttanesca, which was awesome. We'll be back!

I don't like Canoles, but I decided to give them another try after reading review. Their canoles are AWESOME and I will only get them from WB's.

I love this place. I was a loyal customer for the past five years and got to know the owner and his family pretty well (they even sent me a Christmas card!). Now that I've moved to Minneapolis, this is the only dining place in Indy I miss. Indianapolis is not known for good pizza, and most people in Indy wouldn't know good pizza if they had it. But, if you are fan of real, traditional pizza (not a chain, not trendy, like Napolese), you will absolutely love WB. The good food doesn't stop at the pizza, though. The stuffed bread sticks are amazing, as is the turkey pesto sandwich. The from-scratch cheesecake is the thing that dreams are made of. A typical order for me was the upside down Chicago style pizza (with pepperoni and spicy sausage), stuffed bread sticks and a slice of cheesecake (the pumpkin and black raspberry at amazing). Yes, it's a bit more expensive than other pizza places, but when it comes to pizza you get what you pay for. Plus, you are supporting a family that has poured their life into this place and who are genuinely happy to have you there. This is, hands down, the highest quality, most delicious pizza south of Chicago.

Very friendly and welcoming service. I had the sourdough cheese bread and took home a deep dish pizza. The cheese bread was soft and warm. The pizza was thick with flavorful sauce. They also have a frequent discount card. I would return and try some of their menu items. Recommended.

I love this little place, as it's small, but easy to get a table and very family friendly. My 6 year old was handed some paper and markers to occupy her. The menu features salads, stromboli and calzones, design your own pizza (and crust) and suggestions of several pizza favs, along with desserts, beer and wine. I ordered the chicken pesto 9" and 2 personal cheese pizzas for the girls. The very thin was just perfect with toppings all the way to the edges. I enjoyed the sauce and ample portions of chicken chunks. The kids personal pizza is pretty small, so you might consider adding a pasta side. I'll certainly opt for a salad and side next time. The bottled beer was icy cold, just as I like it. We had to run, but our waiter was quick to offer assistance, to go boxes and take out cup for my daughter. I was impressed with the quality, taste and service, gladly accepted the discount card for regulars.

Several weeks ago, I received a "Welcome to the Neighborhood" mailing from W B Pizza offering me to try a medium two topping pizza...FOR FREE! I'm thinking...yeah, what do I have to buy to get the free pizza. Well...nothing! Last night I was going to my daughter's house for dinner and offered to bring a medium two topping pizza :-)))) I called W B Pizza and chatted for a few minutes and decided to upgrade to a large pizza with tomatoes and black olives to pick up. I arrived about 15 minutes early and my pizza was still baking away, so I started talking to the woman working there about their appetizers. She was so nice and helpful that I ordered an Olive loaf with two dipping sauces to go with our pizza. I also learned that their dough and sauces are made fresh daily. When the owner came in, she introduced him and they welcomed me to Indiana! Wow...you don't get that kind of greeting in many places. 20 minutes later I was on my way with pizza and olive loaf. My daughter had made a salad and we enjoyed our dinner. I was glad I got the large because now my son-in-law has pizza for lunch today :-) I will definitely come back here. Although it isn't walkable from my home in Broad Ripple, it is still only a short drive. If you haven't experienced WB Pizza yet...whattayawaitin' for?!

This was the first place I ate in Indy and it was love at first taste! Their ingredients are fresh and literally everything on the menu is awesome! Their breadsticks, pizza, cheesecake, sandwiches, pastas, and even dipping sauces are delicious! The service is always outstanding! When my parents come from out of state they request wb's. My boyfriend was legitimately upset that it took a month of him living here before I showed him wb's. Their BBQ chicken pizza is the best I've ever had! This place is the best and even though I've moved much further away I'll still be eating there regularly.

Shucks. I totally mis-ordered! Usually mis-ordering (def: getting the jitters, unsure & hungry & just ordering something) happens when I'm in a rush, in person, thrust into an environment I don't know and I just go willy-nilly for something. This time... the rarity happened: I read every review of the place, I parsed the menu, and thought I chose wisely. Like Erin T, New York pizza is the only pizza in my book; well, unless a spot does Chicago style exactly the way it should be. So reading that they didn't do New York style here... I went with the next best thing... Chicago. Ummmm... this isn't Chicago style pizza. Chicago is borderline grandma's best apple pie but with sausage, cheese & tomatoes instead of the apple: where the crust is dense but relatively thin & then filled in with toppings & covered in tomatoes. This here... this is a doughy ten pound box of dough. With some, key word some, toppings. Albeit the toppings were delicious (bacon, mild fennel sausage onions & tomatoes)... there just wasn't enough. The damn thing is all dough; there, I said it. The whole wheat, pesto option sounds amazing. I'm not giving up on this place... but this was major bummertown.

We got ourselves a deep dish San Diego pizza as well as a slice of the cheesecake. The pizza was great, with a fantastic, chewy crust, and the cheesecake was great, although it tasted like it was sitting in a fridge for a while before we got our hands on it (the flavor seemed a little off). I was happy with everything until I realized how much it all cost - a 9" pizza and a slice of cheesecake rounded out to just shy of 30 bucks. That's...a little excessive.

Very clean. Atmosphere is casual but very tasteful. Great for a date or family. I echo the previous gourmet pizza comments. Four styles of crust, four styles of sauce, and more than just standard toppings, including several kinds of olives and peppers, chicken, and shrimp. Eat in, take-out, or delivery. They serve wine and beer, but there is no "bar area" so it's not bar-like. Prices seem higher than other mom-and-pop pizza places, but are in line with the gourmet nature and high quality. Service is attentive and friendly.

Good pizza, great service at Allisonville & 62nd. I have lived near WB's Pizza for nearly 2 years before I checked it out. I went with some buddies from work, and we ordered a lot of food, as well as some appetizers. I have been back several times since then, and I will continue to go here. My favorite pizzas were the Grant Park: Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions & green peppers and the Uptown: pepperoni, green peppers & shredded Parmesan. They were listed as upside-down Chicago style, and at first I thought it was a definition on the menu. I remember them both with cheese on top, so I think they're claiming to make Chicago style pizzas upside down. They run about $12-16 dollars. The place as been halfway to moderately full each time I've stopped by. Their wait staff is very friendly, and remembered me after my first visit. I enjoy catching up when I do go there. If you live near, or are around the area, this is a great little place for pizza.

Best. Pizza. Ever. My hubby and I discovered WB Pizza while on a work trip to Indy. We were blown away by the delicious pizza and the friendly service and came back as often as we could before returning to Washington, DC. We chose WB because they offer vegan cheese. We highly recommend the vegan upside down Chicago style pizza and the garlic bread is great too! I love that they offer a vegan buttery dipping sauce for the bread.

I love Pizza! New York thin style folded over and a bit greasy. Thick crust Chicago style with the cheese covering all the goodness underneath.. Pizza is amazing. Now on to WB's, I have been going for over a year and I have to say the regular crust any toppings is my favorite. The thick crust can be a bit to doughy and the thin is just to "thin" for my personal taste. The thing about WB's is the quality of the ingredients and the sauce. I happen to like both here. The red sauce is fresh, the veggies are always crisp and the meats are balanced and not overly fatty. The restaurant it not fancy and I like this about it, you focus on the food and not pretentiousness that you get with some many overpriced pizza places in the area. Give it a try and enjoy!

Good vegan pizza! The crust was baked so well and tasted so damn good. The soy cheese was okay. I've had better but I've had worse. If I'm ever in town again I will try other vegan items on their menu. Also the guy who served me my take out was very nice.

hand's down, they are in the running for top 3 pizza places in town. i get the basic cheese pizza...amazing! for some reason our significant ladies don't care for it. no problem, we just hit it up on guys night. my only complaint is that they won't deliver to my house and i know for a fact they deliver 2 miles PAST my house. i guess that's what happens when you live on the fringe of the ghetto.

First, if anyone can find better service in Indiana, I'd like to know about it. There's something about service that goes above and beyond every single time I'm there that will keep me coming back. My husband and I have been to WBs at least 15 times in the past few years and I have never had a less than wonderful service experience. They are kind, friendly, and consistently go above and beyond. Can't beat that. Second, the food is outstanding. Really. Great quality, freshly prepared. My husband loves the deep dish Grant Park, I love the vegetarian options with thin crust, and we're both always happy. I also love the calzones. I usually do spinach, garlic, and onion. Delish. Their appetizers are unusual and delicious (take my word for it garlic-lovers, the crustini appetizer will make you sing arias). The cheesecake (freshly made in-house) is stupidly good...and if you chance upon the pumpkin, don't miss it! They also make their gelato and those are also always great. The space is in strip-mall (but there's little in Indy that isn't) across from the Speedway gas station at the intersection of 62nd and Allisonville. I love it. It definitely makes my top 5 in Indy.

5 stars for a perfect little pizza joint! I keep coming back for the delicious ultra-thin crust pizza (they also have regular and thin crust dough) the crispy, juicy garlic bruschetta and the veggie stromboli (really!) with a yummy chianti. Are you vegan? You can request vegan cheese to top your pizza pie! They have plenty for you meat-eaters as well... They have great pizza, sandwiches, pasta, salads and gelato. I can't help but order the delectable gelato for dessert. There are NO TV's here... Just really great 70's music. We love Will and Cathy and Dan!

Been here many times, never disappointed. Everything is made in house and the pizza options are endless. Thick, middle, and thin crust. Regular or whole wheat. At least 4 sauces including wonderful pesto. Many cheeses, including vegan! Dozens of toppings, all fresh. Nice array of appetizers, large salads, soups, calzones, sandwiches, pasta dishes... Housemade gelato for dessert - the chocolate is fabulous. Small, cozy place with clean restrooms and free parking. Owners are great people who don't mind if you linger. Love it!

I returned to this town's best-and-only vegan comfort joint with a devastatingly, monstrously hot date. I finally got the deep dish with teese cheese, garlic, kalamatas and spinach. It is a LOT of pizza. I could only finish two slices and I was very hungry. I think it's my favorite yet. The server was really sweet as usual. She complimented my hair, wrote us notes on our pizza boxes and otherwise went out of her way to engage us. I love you, WB.

if this place was in california then i'd probably give it 2 or 3 stars. i could've gotten all this stuff easily in the area i live but in indiana... this is like a progressive pizza joint. they had vegan garlic bread and really, really good olive loaf! the garlic sauce is vegan but it just tastes like papa john's garlic butter sauce. which i mean, isn't a bad thing but it could've been done better. the vegan pizza was just a cheeseless pizza with lots of veggies on it. i was kind of disappointed but it was still delicious! the dough was great. for indiana eats, this was the only place that came close to satisfying me. needless to say... i am glad i am back in california.

A friend and I were driving to his house planning on stopping off for beer and getting pizza delivered. We stopped at the liquor store down the strip from WB and after finding out neither of us had tried it, decided to just get some carry out to take back with us. Wow am I glad we did! We got a quarto formaggio pizza with the deep dish crust and the WB sticks. All were excellent. The crust was the right level of thick and doughy, and there was the perfect amount of white sauce and cheese. We waited in the restaurant for about 20min for our pizza to be cooked, and during that time I noted several vegan items on their menu. I'm always happy to see vegetarian items marked, and I'm ecstatic to see vegan items! The waitresses working were very nice, making sure we had glasses of water while we waited for our food. The dining room was small, but very clean, and the bathrooms were clean as well. The prices also were not outrageous, which is what sometimes drives me to get chain pizza. It was around $15 for a 12" deep dish and order of sticks. This ended up being more than enough food for three people. This was a MUCH better choice than delivery from a chain, and I will definitely be taking advantage of their delicious pizza again.

WB Pizza at 62nd and Allisonville in Indianapolis offers a cozy atmosphere and pizza known for its fresh ingredients. The dough and sauce used for their pizza is made daily using all natural ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the sauce on my sausage and pepperoni pizza as I could tell it had some spices in it, and my waiter told me it is the fennel they put in the sauce that sets it apart from others. I also really liked the mild Italian sausage I got on my pizza as it had a decent kick to it, and they even offer hot Italian sausage for those more adventurous than me. The only thing I regret about my trip to WB Pizza is that I got the original thin crust as opposed to the deep dish. I found out after I had already ordered that the owner is from northwestern Indiana, and that WB Pizza's deep dish pies are their specialty, with the Grant Park (pepperoni, hot Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers) being the most popular. They also offer a Di Napoli style pizza that I would like to try, and they have a lot of Vegan dishes as well. The only potential negative I see about this place is that it doesn't have a lot of seating inside, but it does offer carry out as well. Overall, I was very impressed with my first fist to WB Pizza and hope to return to sample some more of their pizzas very soon.

The best pizza place I have ever been to!!! We were visiting from California and they had great vegan thick whole wheat crust, and they were not shy with the veggies! The roasted broccoli and spinach were really good and so was the sauce. The workers were so awesome and very knowledgable in vegan cuisine. Stan was an awesome server and we will be back every night to see him. This place has very good vegan cheese too. Thank you WB Pizza for making OUTSTANDING deep dish pizza! I will be dreaming about this place until our next visit. If I can change one thing about the menu, it would be to add kale as a topping. Your friends from Los Angeles.

Let me start by saying the people working at this place are about the friendliest, most helpful, and genuinely enthusiastic people I've run across in some time. Because I'd never tried WB pizza before, I thought I'd give both the thin crust and the Chicago style a chance before offering my judgement. The verdict is...it's just not for me. The ingredients seem fresh, and care is taken in the making, but the crust on the thin crust isn't quite the New York style standard I'd hoped, and the Chicago style crust wasn't the cornmeal dusted, pastry flaky fried bottom I prefer on that type. The sauce on both was the same, but instead of chunky, bright tomatoes in the Chicago style, it was more chunky onions with occasional bits of tomato skins and maybe some fennel(?). Housemade, which is fabulous, but just not my cup of tea. The same was used on the thin crust, when I was hoping for a thin, ladle smeared sauce that showed off the tangy fresh tomatoes. I chose the ubiquitous pepperoni topping, and found nothing to complain about in the ingredients, but nothing to cause me to sit up and take notice of. So please give them your own try, the service is phenomenal, and perhaps it will hit your sweet spot even though, regrettably it didn't hit mine.

Not a bad choice, but as a certified pizza snob, I'm gonna have to not recommend this place. It's leagues and yards above the chain stores, but it's no Some Guy's (which is right across the street). Thin pizza has a lovely braided crust, and that crust is just delicious (something Some Guy's lacks). But their sauce is overly sweet, and over applied. The toppings are under the cheese, meaning that the cheese slips around on the sauce; a real annoyance. There chopped salad is overly chopped; if you don't like tomatoes or onions then you better specify, cuz you can't pick them out. Finally, the meat in their pasta sauce is just cooked ground beef, thats it. Sad really. Tastes like cafeteria pasta. The pasta also made my wife really burpy. And to top it all off, it's crazy expensive for what it is: a bit of pasta, the total volume of a baseball was $10. Acceptable it it was delicious, but it wasn't. Garlic bread was great, but really, can you mess up garlic bread? There are better choices for the money.

Great red sauce - very fresh flavors. White sauce good too and the artichokes on the za weren't tough as they so often are at most places. Very friendly, great casual feel. Could do with a fresher soundtrack. Overall I highly recommend.

The BEST pizza in Indy. I'm not sure why it seems that Some Guys Pizza across the way does more business than WB (and it pains me to admit this observation... because the food at Some Guys is so hit and miss, I never understand why it does as well as it does. I quit eating pizza there years ago... the only thing consistent there are the salads). My theory is in the NAME -- if WB and SOME GUYS were to swap names, I bet WB would do even MORE biz than Some Guys is doing now (or maybe they should try going for another stupid, trendy name such as NAKED PIZZA or PIZZA IN THE BUFF...? Is that really what it's going to take to pull in the masses of Indy?). Anyhoo... trust me. If you are a pizza aficionado, and you do NOT like WB Pizza, then you are simply an idiot. Stay away from the trendily named mediocrities like "Some Guys" -- "Bazbeaux" -- "BeBop" and the appalling joke that is "Hot Box" and try some real pizza, dammit. The pepperoni (ONLY) on their regular crust... I challenge anyone in this city to find a better pizza than this one.

Lisa

Quality, fresh ingredients. Great lunch specials. I took my mom once and she loved it. That's saying a lot, because she typically goes to chains.

Disclaimer: I'm from Chicago, so on one hand, I'm a tough pizza critic. On the other hand, I regularly eat frozen pizza, so I'm not a total pizza snob. For the money, skip WBs Pizza and get a Jacks. WBs toppings were plentiful and 80% delicious, but the mushrooms were canned. The crust...the crust is where it went downhill. It was too thin to support the toppings, so they kinda slid off the pointy end. They say "pizza is like sex, when it's good it's really good. When it's bad, it's still pretty good". No thanks...I'll be skipping this one.

  • Katie F.

The food is very good. However, don't waist your money on the breadsticks. I've made that mistake, they are tiny and costly. You pretty much pay for crumbs. But other then they they cost a bit too much money but have a okay preferred customer program. Nice people and fantastic food, excluding serving size.

Also the guy who served me my take out was very nice.

if this place was in california then i'd probably give it 2 or 3 stars. i could've gotten all this stuff easily in the area i live but in indiana... this is like a progressive pizza joint. they had vegan garlic bread and really, really good olive loaf! the garlic sauce is vegan but it just tastes like papa john's garlic butter sauce. which i mean, isn't a bad thing but it could've been done better. the vegan pizza was just a cheeseless pizza with lots of veggies on it. i was kind of disappointed but it was still delicious! the dough was great. for indiana eats, this was the only place that came close to satisfying me. needless to say... i am glad i am back in california.

I love you, WB.

hand's down, they are in the running for top 3 pizza places in town. i get the basic cheese pizza...amazing! for some reason our significant ladies don't care for it. no problem, we just hit it up on guys night. my only complaint is that they won't deliver to my house and i know for a fact they deliver 2 miles PAST my house. i guess that's what happens when you live on the fringe of the ghetto.

OMG this place rocks!!! i order the " Vegan pizza" chicago style with Vegan cheese (teese) it was to die for , I also order the olive rolls they we're delish , and the vegan pasta salad was a typical pasta salad no complaints though. VEGANS/ VEGETARIAN MUST COME HERE!!!

I decided to check this place out after reading reviews. I ordered the Napoli 9 inch pizza for pick up. The pizza reminded me of Chicago.....it was great. I don't like Canoles, but I decided to give them another try after reading review. Their canoles are AWESOME and I will only get them from WB's.

  • Sophia H.

We got a 9" Chicago style. It wasn't traditional Chicago style when it came to the crust and sauce but it was still pretty tasty. I got a slice of cheesecake which was divine. They have a really cool discount card that earns you free food!

I can't believe it's taken me this long to review WB. This is my favorite pizza in Indy both regular and deep dish. The service and food are both spectacular! They have loads of toppings and other entrees if you're not in the mood for pizza. I love that WB is small and owned by locals. Once you try this you'll be saying Bazbeaux who?

The pizza is absolutely wonderful and the staff is amazing! Everyone who works there is so kind and they really care that you enjoy their food, which isn't hard because it's delicious!!! I wish I lived close enough for delivery because we would have it every week!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
