Visiting from California and we found this place with friends. The host was snotty, there were empty booths and he told us it was a 15-20 minute wait. When we asked to speak with the manager, all she did was wave her hands and told him to seat us. Chasity was our waitress and she was great. Great attitude, fun to kid with and our meatloaf was good - but they were out of rolls, out of bison stew and our waitress asked what kind of cookie we wanted because they would run out of those also. Have you thought about cooking more or buying more? Later on the manager came over with this lame excuse about wanting us to experience the meal, the reason for the wait. If I want to experience the meal - seat me in your empty booths! Thanks to Chasity and the good food it was an ok experience -but get rid of your rude host and the lame manager.

Great place to eat for any occasion. A great menu with tons of options. I love the bison buyers, you can't go wrong with any of them! Overall the prices are not bad for the portion size and food quality.

The food is delicious, especially the bison burgers. But the service, oh man. Our waitress disappeared for 15 minutes at a time, and it took 20 minutes to even GET a waitress. There was like two other tables when we got there so it's not like they were packed. It's just "a-ok".

Let me start by saying, we really enjoy the bison burgers and that is the only reason why we go here. My husband loves the french fries and my son loves their option of kids salmon with "real green beans" not that canned junk. We are always able to find something that everyone can enjoy...however I have yet to have outstanding service when going here which is quite unfortunate. We just recently went to this location and we had our two babies in tow which as you know from reading my reviews always is the test for servers and resturants. Our server did great until we got our food and then she disappeared and my husband took the kids outside for a walk while I waited on our to go boxes and check. I think next time we will go without the kids an then it won't be so bad

Would I go back? Maybe. The decor is typical steak joint, dark wood paneling, long wooden bar. Booths and tables. The food ranges from beef or bison steaks, bison meatloaf, sandwiches , salads, chicken, trout and salmon. All come with a side. The steak was cooked to the ordered temperature. The salt and pepper trout came out on a cold plate. So the trout was warm, bordering on cold. The vine ripen tomatoes should not be served if they are not in season. No flavor. The service was adequate and the restaurant was clean. It is nothing special unless you want a bison burger or steak.

Totally disappointed especially since the previous yelpers had good things to say. The table consisted of me, my friend, and her 3 yr. old daugher. When we sat down, it took over 5 min for someone to come get a drink order. We gave it to the guy and then our waiter showed up a minute later and asked for our drink order again.. .weird When the drinks finally showed up the 3 yr olds was in a glass and we asked for a kids cup. We were told they were out and would bring one over if they got some in before we left. REALLY?? I ordered the blue creek bison burger( medium) and "aunt frannies" squash casserole for my side. My meal came as expected and cooked as expected. My friend ordered the 12oz ribeye and was told they were out so she ordered a burger (well done). Her burger was still red inside so we sent it back to the kitchen. They reheated the same patty and put it on a new bun and the owner brought it out. He asked if she would cut into it while he was there to make sure it was to her liking. . . cut into it and it was still red. He was gracious enough to comp her burger but not the drink or side order. Poor way to treat a customer. With so many other steak house options around (including a competator in the sam parking lot) I won't be returning. Sorry Teds.

I have been to Ted's several times and you can not go wrong with the bison burger or even better thr steak salad is absolutely amazing! Located in a good location to grab dinner and catch a movie at the AMC.

That's right, I just gave a chain restaurant 5 stars. I'll keep this short and sweet. The Peppercorn Bison Burger I had was IN credible. I even got it without a bun and with a side of asparagus (heathlier and what not) and it was, dare I say, the best burger I have ever eaten. Now I am not the biggest burger connoisseur as I usually order something a little more waist friendly, but I have had my fair share and this was it guys. I also tried their Bison Nachos (small but delish, no cheese? kind of weird), the onion rings (giant! lightly breaded with amazingly tasty horseradish sauce), and last but certainly not least the seasonal dessert at the moment, Strawberry Shortcake. If they still have it when you go, do not hesitate. The drop biscuit/shortbread was wonderful and the dessert is quite large, so share :) Overall, the food was so great that it doesn't even matter what the rest of the experience was like. It was good though, so that's also a plus! GO EAT BISON. The End.

We were looking specifically for an easy place to stop and have a salad, lean protein and veggies. We ended up here after the Carmel location was closed due to a power outage. Maybe that was a blessing in disguise? We tucked into a quiet booth in the bar, which was awesome. Dark woods. High backs. No kids. The bring out a house made pickle to start and they're good. I think they could just just a touch longer in the pickling liquid, but I liked the freshness and crunch. Kurtis was our serve and he was awesome. Attentive without being overwhelming. He took excellent care of us. Wedge salad was great. Crisp. Fresh. Lots of tomato and bacon. Blue cheese dressing is good. Steaks were great and cooked perfectly. We both went with the ribeye. One beef and one bison. They were both great with the bison being much more lean, of course. Seasoning was complimentary, but you still tasted meat. Veggies were fine. Nothing to sing about. Onion Rings & French Fries are delish. I loved the onion rings because they weren't greasy. French Fries are hand cut in house. We had to laugh because, if you've ever seen the film "Waiting," our server and the manager could have come straight from the film. It was hilarious. Almost to the point that we asked them if they were taking the piss.

The food here was very good as was the service - our server was new so she was very nervous but did just fine. The ambience here is tired - really really tired. This whole dark wood, dark restaurant vibe has it's place but it's place isn't in a strip mall with a movie theater and Old Navy. You can barely see your food!! I had the appetizer sliders as my meal and there were very tasty! Places tend to overcook sliders so I was glad they were moist and juicy. My husband got the salmon salad (which he always orders) and said it was great as usual. The thing that freaks me out about Ted's is there creepy straws. I know they are trying to be ecologically sound and I appreciate that but a paper straw that dissolves halfway through your drink is just gross. They clearly must know it is a problem because they provide a cup of them right on the table. Ick. Overall, we'll keep going back because it's good food and a good value - I can live with the straw thing :)

Hey there, Ted's - we meet again. And I'm liking what I'm seeing (and tasting)! We made reservations for Father's Day just in case and we were promptly seated a few minutes prior to our actual reservation time. I've had great service here before, but Leah was particularly fabulous! Enthusiastic and personable without being overbearing. I stepped outside the box and got the kale salad (corn, peppers, tomatoes, herbs) and it made me rethink kale! Usually not the biggest fan, but the zingy vinaigrette added a little bite to the greens. The salmon was perfect as usual - I got the 7 oz (vs. 9 oz.) and still had leftovers! Served with creamy mashed potatoes, asparagus, and horseradish sauce to add some kick to the salmon (don't worry- this isn't St. Elmo's clear-your-sinuses strong). The asparagus was the dark horse for me - again, not usually a fan but it had some sort of peppery seasoning on it that made me clean my plate! The only downfalls of this particular visit were: -it took awhile to get the check, when otherwise service was speedy all night -the pickles were, sadly, a disappointment. Usually my favorite, the weren't very crisp and didn't have the great flavor like I remember :/ The portion also seemed small for a table of 3, but I'm pretty sure it's a never ending bowl of pickles if you want refills.

Oh man, anywhere I can get some good bison is a good place in my mind. I tried one of their bison burgers and was pretty impressed. The meat was cooked perfectly and the sandwich was delicious. Our server did a great job keeping up on drinks and getting our food out to us quickly. He was also training a new server and did a good job instructing while also taking care of us. The atmosphere inside was nice, but didn't feel formal and stuffy. Coming here was a bit last minute, and I felt a little under dressed in my jeans and a t-shirt. I don't see myself coming here too often, as it's a bit out of my way and a little pricey for a regular visit, but I wouldn't mind coming back to explore more of the menu. Or maybe just order what I got last time, because yes, it was that good.

Go for the Red Rock Bison burger! Yum, Yum, Yum! I'm sure all the bison burgers are fab-o, but this one is a nice tangy flavor with a tail of spice on the back end. I loved the "party on the plate" as my server called it with the option to give the fresh cut fries AND the onion rings...ah, the way to my starchy lovin little heart! Our server was beyond exceptional. She always made sure our drinks were topped off and that we were good on condiments BEFORE we got our food, to make sure we had to ask for nothing once our plates arrived. She was really knowledgeable of the menu which was great for a newbie like me. A really cool little detail about Ted's is their dedication to the environment. You'll notice not just 100% biodegradable paper straws, but biodegradable table mats and menu's. Great atmosphere, and even greater food!

Let me start by saying that Ted's may be the best dining experience I have had in a very long time. From the moment we walked in we were given the VIP treatment. The manager at this location is incredible, and that shows in every aspect of the business. I had never experienced Bison before my visit to Ted's, and I was blown away.... but let me rewind a second here. Shortly after being seated, they brought out a small plate of what looked like cucumbers. I didn't want to give away my inexperience with fancy dining so I waited until our lovely waittress walked away to bite into one, and they were delightful bursts of pickled freshness in my mouth. As you are learning from my reviews, I love a good adult beverage. Ted's did not disappoint in that aspect, either. I ordered a strawberry margarita, and was uncertain when they brought it out because it was on the smaller side of the margarita world. But two margaritas in and I was waving the white flag. Those things packed a delicious, not too sweet, punch that was a perfect pair with my Bison pot roast. Bison blew me away. It was the most tender pot roast I've ever tasted, and it was paired with creamy mashed potatoes... and have I mentioned how much I adore mashed potatoes? Ted's is a place you don't want to miss out on. It's classy, yet laid back, and the food will not disappoint!

A co-worker is big into meat, so we brought him here for a birthday lunch. I'm glad we made a reservation for our group of 12 because they were full. Who knew this place was so popular during lunch? I ordered the roasted beet salad with goat cheese. The main components were spinach, beets, nuts, and roasted chicken. Where to begin? First, the chicken included dark meat, which I do not like whatsoever. Picking around it proved to be somewhat difficult. Second, the beets. Since the salad was called "Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese," I expected there to be a decent amount of beets. I was mistaken. The beets were tiny in size and quantity. The spinach and the dressing was nice, but the dark meat chicken threw me for a loop. The other 11 people who were there ordered burgers and everyone was very complimentary, even the person who ordered the vegetarian burger. Next time, I'll be sure and avoid the salads and try a burger. Service was slow, but there was a group of 12 of us, and we were there right in the middle of lunch, so I blame that on us, not the restaurant. Another item we noticed: carbonated drinks come with crushed ice and water and iced tea came with ice cubes. It was strange. I've never seen two different kinds of ice used before.

This was my second visit to Ted's and once again, it did not disappoint! I was lucky enough to have Lance as my waiter again. He is an absolute hoot! He loves his job, which makes your dining experience so much fun! The complimentary, freshly sliced cucumbers, mildly pickled were a great start to our meal. As for the burgers...um hello? It's bison. It melts in your mouth and is absolutely 100 times better than just a simple beef patty. I chose George's Cadillac. A bison patty covered in melted cheddar cheese, smoky bacon and BBQ sauce. It came with a side of fries and lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion to dress the patty. Ted's has a number of different burger combinations, from the simple Naked burger to the Avalon, a burger with melted Gruyère with a hint of Bleu cheese, crumbled bacon and sweet caramelized onions, roasted garlic aioli and baby arugula. Let me tell ya...you can get pretty fancy up in here. OH! I almost forgot. If you're an ice chomper like myself...ask for their crushed ice with your drink. Da bomb.

My husband and I were on our way to see a movie, but they were sold out and I was starving. I'd never tried Ted's and we did a little loopy loop and trotted into the restaurant. We sat at the bar since there seemed to be a wait for a table (we didn't make reservations, but I would suggest them). The bar staff was friendly and attentive. You can see into a portion of the kitchen and could tell they were all working hard, but also enjoying themselves. I ordered and salad and chili (made with bison) and husband got the bison burger. They were all delicious. Bison tasted leaner and had more flavor than regular beef. If you're hesitant about eating bison, I'd recommend trying out Ted's since they do it so well! I'll be back!

I have been to Ted's for several business lunches and we prefer to take our business clients here. The atmosphere reminds me of an old school restaurant: huge wooden booths, lots of leather, etc. The service is almost always impeccable. Their food is delicious. Everyone raves about their burgers. I went there during Lent this past spring and tried their salmon. It was absolutely delicious, and really surprised me. I like their pickle chips they serve at the beginning of their meals, and their paper straws are charming. I would highly recommend trying an order of their fresh potato chips, as you will not be able to stop before the bowl is gone. A great place for a work lunch or dinner!

Ted's is good food. I almost never eat in. For a family of four, I could imagine spending $70.00 EASILY. But that's because the food is both good for you and it's ethically sourced. That's a good thing. The take out person is ALWAYS polite, with a great smile, that makes it easy to justify a tip, but that's just a "thing" with me.

I ate here on a business dinner with colleagues. The decor was lovely, very warm and inviting and the service was good. But what steak restaurant runs out of baked potatoes at 6:30 in the evening? THAT was a disappointment, but the bison steak was one of the best I'd ever eaten and we would return if we were in the area in the future.

I know it's a chain but this is one of the best burgers in Indy. They are consistently cooked well (medium rare of course), the bison meat really stands out, the menu options are varied and their Mudslide is a perfect (if pricey) companion. Oh and did I mention the best "potato cut" fries basically anywhere? And this location has a great patio.

Located in a mini-shopping mall with a bunch of food options in the area. This is probably one of the best options around there. Ample seating inside and very open -Weird hostess stand though. Hot Green Pepper (Bison) - Cooked perfectly medium-rare. The burger was definitely good but the meat needed a tad more salt. It was very very tender and juicy though. Guac/peppers/cheese were on point. The fries it came with were pretty good as well. I will definitely be back to dine in to try something else. You cannot go wrong with bison here I feel like. It's healthier (I think) and juicier than beef!

The food was okay, honestly don't believe the bison was better than the beef. Wouldn't recommend it unless you just want to try something different. Server was good. Beautiful place to eat. Dim lighting but has lights at table for a romantic vibe or mood. Only thing I didn't like was the place was about empty at the hoster set us by the bathroom... Probably wouldn't go back.

Ted's is a favorite of mine, every time I am in Indy. Love the cucumber pickles and atmosphere. Cadillac bison with fries can't go wrong. Occasionally service is a little slow but usually worth the wait Truly enjoy and would recommend.

Bring your own straw, unless you prefer the taste of paper while sipping a beverage. Service was so slow, I thought my waitress was a TMNT, (minus the ninja). Asked for goulda cheese on my burger, received gruyère instead; this was probably the only pleasant surprise the entire evening. I probably won't return to dine in, if they refuse to get rid of those retched paper straws. I do hope my next order here is to go, and fulfilled much more promptly.

So normally I avoid chains whenever possible. This one seemed to have some good ratings and was across the street from my appointment. Seemed like a good place to meet my coworkers. Big menu featuring burgers with beef or bison. I get grass fed ground bison at a store near my home and really love it. It has a slightly stronger flavor profile than beef but for most people, they wouldn't know the difference. So I get to the America's Cup burger and realize who Ted is. I went with blue cheese & bacon. It was really good. Very moist and flavorful. Great service and while I would love to knock the chain, I can't do it to Ted's.

Pretty good food, friendly service, and a humble atmosphere make for a good restaurant. Yeah it's a chain, but that doesn't mean that it can't be good. The menu is pretty expansive and has plenty of options, and not many places have such emphasis on bison. The food is good and can be healthy, but there are a lot of comfort food items (who says that's a bad thing!). The prices are fair and the atmosphere and service are on par with everything else. Overall, a good experience. Atmosphere: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Food: 8/10

The husband and I met some friends for lunch here while visiting the Indy area and were overall pleased with our first experience at Ted's. This location is a bit hidden in a outdoor shopping mall, but once inside you certainly don't feel like you're in strip center. There is a great bar area to the left which I could definitely see as a fantastic place to grab a drink after a long day. Service overall was great. Our waitress was certainly on her game and never let one of our drinks go empty. The food did take forever to arrive despite the place being fairly empty, but that's not necessarily her fault. The food is pretty good. The menu is predominately burgers but there are a few healthy options on there if that's more your style (fyi - they do offer nutritional info on their website). I believe almost all of their burgers are available with either bison or beef which really sets them apart. Surprisingly enough, my husband and I both agreed that the veggie burger I ordered was better than Blue Cheese burger he went with. The fries were ok but certainly not the best we've had. You can certainly do worse than Ted's especially at the price. It's definitely not a "must" but I would go again if I was in the area.

Old Timey Feel. This is one of my family faves. They have great service, great prices, and yummy food for a great price. I love the paper straws, the pickle/cucumbers, and the powder soap. It all just adds to the ambiance and the fun.

Ted Turner owns a restaurant. And he owns a bunch of land out west. I'm wondering if he supplies his restaurants with beef and bison. Guess I should look that up. He owns a bunch of other stuff too, but I don't know what he still owns and what he sold off. So apparently I don't keep up on what Ted Turner is doing these days. I typically go to Ted's for business lunches. It's a great "guy" sort of restaurant although I've seen plenty of women dining there as well. Ted's is known for it's burgers and you can order them in either a beef or bison version. They are a little pricey, around $12 for beef and $15 for bison. But it's very high quality, so I suppose that justifies the price. Large selection of sides, they always offer a half & half - half fries, half onion rings. They don't look at you like you are crazy if you order an Arnold Palmer. I've never had a bad meal here, but I've never gotten anything other than a burger. If you're in the mood for a burger, then check Ted's out at least once. I'd rate it 4 stars but the service is almost always a little sketchy. Slow, confused, unmotivated....not sure what it is but no one who works there seems to be particularly good at what they do. But it's not so bad that it will keep me from going back for lunch again some time.

This place is like any mid-level steakhouse, but with a twist. Almost all of their menu items are available using Buffalo meat. I got the COB buffalo burger (Cheddar, sauteed onions, bacon), ordered RARE. And while I really really want it rare, I know that it will always come medium. And it did come medium. But it was oh sooo good. The burger was tender and moist and sooo delish. We also got onion rings, I think they were baked and not deep fried. They were ok but I wouldn't order them again for the price. Be prepared to spend some dough for the buffalo steaks! They ain't cheap. And of course... The waitresses are very hot and the brunette hostess was SMOKING hot. The ice cubes were turning to steam in my iced tea.

Well, there's something here that gets in the way of love and not sure what that is. But I'm far, far from disliking this franchise as they really do deliver great dishes. A red meat lover's paradise with top quality beef and bison fare but that's far from all. Very under rated crab cakes in my opinion- some of the best I've had. The apps, salads, seafood, chicken, pot roast, burgers, et.al is really done well. Everything, really- everything is tasty and if not to your liking they'll gladly redo or replace. Maybe its Ted. Maybe its the national franchise. Maybe its me because damn this place is good- great food, service and environment... consistently. Good for a date or family holiday get-together.

I did not realize this was a chain till a friend of mine told me. I ordered the bison burger which is a leaner type of meat. It was very good and not to dry. The menu offers plenty of choices for everyone. I liked the atmosphere and I love that the restaurant is very eco-friendly and clean! This is a great place to take your family or co-workers out for dinner!

BISON BISON BISON!!!! for those have not had bison it is wonderful! its not as gamey as one would imagine and has a subtle sweetness that is not a sugary sweet, but more of a savory sweet. with that being said, i had the Delmonico and it was rich, juicy and i couldn't help but eat every bite, knowing that the deliciousness would be worth the impending food coma. service was average as well as decor, but the food was well worth it!

Servers are unorganized lots of wandering around but fully staffed. Now for the good stuff... Bison Delmonico. Cobb salad, Steak salad and Cedar Plank salmon. This place is frequented by pros for reason. You cannot get more manly a menu. Paper straws are awesome touch along with brass fixtures and 20 muleteam borax soap dispenser. The place is clean and for a chain, somewhat local feel. Took team of cyclists here for a post ride protien refuel, and we rode better the second day. Gracie was our server and she seemed to get lost toward the end, but overall great experience with the boys. Teds is real food and atmosphere. Bravo

While I have been to Ted's a few times before, I had not had the opportunity to sit down and really relax with a beautiful bison burger until this past Saturday on the second half of our "dinner and a movie" date night. First off, I found the service to be just right. Friendly and helpful - and it felt genuine, which is refreshing. Once seated, we were presented with pickled cucumbers, which were light and had a nice garlic taste. A good way to warm up and at least get something green in before the bacon, burger & cheese. We also opted (at the suggestion of my mother-in-law) an order of onion rings, which lived up to the hype. Not too much breading and they came out piping hot. Ah, the burgers. I opted for the "America's Cup" burger, which was a beautiful combo of bison, cheese, bacon, mushrooms and grilled onions. And the fries were fresh-cut and darn good, too. All in all, a very positive experience. We grabbed a table outside and were able to get a nice view of the suburban sunset. (which should be a drink, right? - any takers on that one?)

Their bison burgers are really worth the time. Leaner than beef and more delicious! Also, since it was our first time visiting, we were given a dessert on the house. We had their brownie dessert, and it was exceptional. Only side effect: eating far too much and a food coma that last for the rest of the evening. The decor is a decent attempt at the big western theme, but it still felt somewhat urban. I'm also a fan of their efforts to be "greener" since it shows a bit more corporate responsibility on their part. Overall, a great experience. The food alone is reason enough to come here.

OK.. Here's another review. This time I noticed some new things, and remembered what I had forgotten to mention. GREEN - This has to be the GREENEST restaurants out there. They use recycled straws made out of paper (some might not like this), recycled sheets of paper that they use table covers (on top of the leather). Even the hand soap in the restroom was more "eco-friendly" (I am not sure how, but it was a powder. And the restroom was very clean). FOOD & SERVICE - Took my girlfriends' folks for lunch here yesterday, and they praised the quality of the food too. They had 6 new burgers on the menu and I decided to try the peppercorn burger (bison, of course!). It was delicious. The fries were REALLY good. Our waitress was nice and courteous, and took care of all of us with a smile. She suggested the yummy onion rings for appetizer, and we jumped on it :). The onion rings came with a ranch-horseradish mixture type of sauce/dipping, and I really liked it. I stay away from horseradish, but this thing made me eat more than one onion ring (which is unusual for me). ATMOSPHERE - This place is certainly country. Although I'm not a countryboy, I appreciated the nice country songs in the background. They added to the overall theme, IMHO. Also, there is a HUUUGEEE Bison head hanging on one of the walls. I don't know how I missed it the last couple times, but I was mesmerized by how big that thing was. Kinda made me feel guilty for eating that bison burger, but that guilt was short-lived (my taste-buds took control of my senses and brain :) ) The overall ambiance is warm and inviting. Will bring my aunt and uncle over the labor day weekend as they visit Indianapolis :)

Same predictable (good) food I always expect from Ted's... Abysmal service. Inattentive waiter, slower'n molasses food service.

This was a first. Have previously enjoyed each experience at Ted's location north of Chicago but severely disappointed here in Indy. We were seated quickly then ignored as the hostesses and waiters passed our table without stopping. After 20 minutes without any member of the waitstaff acknowledging us, we took our business elsewhere. So many other options nearby ready to serve us a meal, no sense waiting for Ted's.

Great staff, clean restaurant, reasonable prices. They needed a little more variety on the menu. 15 special burgers are to many. How about the "build your own" formula. Lots of dishes being dropped in the kitchen.

Not a place I would go to often, because it is slightly pricey, but the burgers (beef or bison) are excellent. I had the Canyon Creek Bison & it tasted wonderful! The blueberry jam & jalapenos were a great mix of sweet & spicy. The egg & and bacon were a little too wet for me. My boyfriend got the green & hot beef burger & he loved it! Spicy & fresh! Excellent service! Very prompt!

Ted's is known for their bison burgers, but you can also order chicken, beef, or veggie burgers here, too. On my first visit, I ordered the bison meatloaf and it was delicious! It came with mashed potatoes (that were a little bland in my opinion), a small dinner roll, and I substituted the squash casserole for some tasty onion rings. The second time, I had bison pot roast, a sweet potato, and steamed broccoli. If you are on any special diet, they have nutritional info on their website along with tips on how to order healthier options. All of their soups looked delicious, so next time I come back I will probably try a bison burger and some soup. Mmmm. I applaud Ted's for their commitment to the environment. They serve all natural meat and they try to avoid using plastic. They have paper straws, bio-degradable to-go cups, and recycled paper place-mats. They also make an effort to conserve energy and water. You can read more about it here: tedsmontanagrill.com/eco… . Very cool.

My favorite place for a good burger! They have a ton of different burger options including "the kitchen sink", which comes with an egg on it (my favorite topping for a burger). I've also tried the bison meatloaf and it was great. Not only is the food good but Ted's has made some effort to reduce its environmental impact, with recycled materials and such. I love dining at a restaurant that you can feel good about. I hesitate to give Ted's just 4 stars... you've got to consider Ted's next time you're in the mood for a burger.

The first two times we ever went to a Ted's, we had a bad experience. Well... UPDATE... it has changed its ways. We have had great service and excellent food. I like the BBQ chicken salad and the Chicken sandwich with the "Z" sauce. I love that they have pickles on the table the whole time you are there. My daughter loves them. It is a very clean, classy restaraunt. The staff is timely and dressed nice. We look forward to coming here all the time now!

We met a group of co-workers here for dinner after work, there were about 14 of us. I was prepared to get 'slower' service since we had a larger group, but was I surprised. The manager helped get our tables ready and the waitress was on par with getting all of drink and appetizer orders in. The drinks were good (sangria, and dirty martini w/blue cheese stuffed olives). I had never had a bison burger, so ordered one, I ordered it medium rare and it came as medium, which is fine, but be aware that if you order the bison burger you'll want it cooked less due to it being a lean meat. I was pleased with the flavors. The price at $15 (for just the burger) is a bit steep. I'd say it was a good experience all in all.

Great! I had the bison burger, and it was excellent, you do not leave hungry. The quality of the meat was good, and it was cooked well. The recycled materials used for the various items on the table(the straws, etc.) were great. I'd love to see more of this happen in other restaurants. Overall this place is good. I would have given it 5 stars, but it doesn't seem like there was a ton of creativity put into their menus. The food was great, but nothing that was "Wow, I would have never thought of that!" This is unfortunately a natural side effect of a chain restaurant.

4 stars due to food, service, and service!!!!!!!!! GF and I were famished at the end of the day so we stopped by Ted's for the unique bison meat. I ordered the bison filet and could not finish it. IT WAS delicious and tender. Our service attendant was superb, attentive yet aloof enogh when we were discussing personal talks....He stayed away while we appeared to be in deep discussion but knew to step in and ask for our comments when we appeared to be open for interuptions. Dessert was HUGE, i can still taste it. HUGE apple crisp with icecream. OMG - i can still taste it. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY. Great companion and time at Ted's. I'd return when I am back here. Decor is very typical of steak houses, dark, woody, burgundy, nice interior and private booths. Great place for coversations and long dinner.

My first time at a Ted's and things couldn't have gone better. Staff was excellent. Food was awesome. I had the southwestern crab cakes. My dining partner had buffalo pot roast. Both of us were totally impressed. We even went for the desserts. Again, no disappointment here. Only suggestion would be to expand the tap beer selection. What they have is good, but limited.

Original, unpretentious but amazingly fresh and delicious food. Friendly and fast service. Nice atmosphere. I am a critic and I have a hard time faulting this place. The onion rings are delicious! The fries are fresh cut to order The bison burgers are amazing. The use of natural, recycled and natural materials are a big plus. Try it, you won't be disappointed. .

I've never had a bad meal here and their lemonade is the best damn lemonade I've ever had in my life. It's made fresh every day. Most recently, I was there with my family and when I cut into my burger it was way under cooked. I just didn't want to take a chance to eat something so rare when I wasn't used to it. The waitress was incredibly nice about sending it back as was the manager and he personally apologized for the mishap. The staff is always very nice. I work sales for a hotel nearby and we always refer clients to Ted's. Their food is always good. I usually lean towards any burger that involves mushrooms, onions, or blue cheese. Try them all! You won't be dissappointed.

Ok - so we are in the neighborhood and don't like Chilis. We do however like the bar at Ted's. Ask for Julie - it would be great if she could bartend, cook and wait tables because then you would have what you ordered in the manner your ordered it in a timely manner. How can you mess up a salad. Asked for chopped salad no salami and got home, sat down and they used bacon. I've had this salad many, many times and it has never had bacon. Friday during lent, bacon? Really? Even though you saw no salami? We have gift cert from there from friends b/c they know its in the neighborhood. I would like to cash them out and go somewhere else.

I saw this place while watching a documentary on Ted Turner. While in Indiana, I happened to be staying across the street from one. Buffalo is the big thing here. I ordered a burger while my tour guide ordered the meatloaf. Both of us finished everything. While buffalo is a tad lean, I thought the flavor was good. Seems to be a busy place for business lunches. Definitely better than most casual chains. Service was good, except for the charging for refills which I am not used to. Worth a visit.

This place looks exactly like the Ted's in Clay Terrace, so every location must be identical. It's rather charming in a "manly" kind of way. Try to sit in one of the booths at the bar -- very cozy. This is really a very basic meat and potatoes type menu, which is good if that's what you're in the mood for. Their burgers are huge. Salads are delicious. Meat loaf sandwich very good. Onion rings OK, fries so-so. I do like that you have several different options for the side dishes. The server got our checks mixed up, so we ended up paying for each other's dinner, but otherwise, she was perky and friendly.
I never noticed that this was a restaurant until tonight! For some reason, I always thought it was part of Marsh but I'm so glad it isn't! My husband and I decided to try this tonight since we were in the mood for something different! Ted's offers most of the meals on their menu to be made with bison! I've only had bison once and it was in Arizona so I was looking forward to trying it. We pulled up the menu on our phones beforehand and I was already prepared to order the bison meatloaf. I liked the place as soon as we walked in. I felt like I had been transported back to an old West saloon minus the hokey. It's elegant with tall ceilings, that appear to be tiled, an old-fashioned bar complete with large mirrors, and the dining area is surrounded by high-walled booths, making dinner feel intimate. In between the booth areas, there are also tables. We didn't have a wait but it was still early in the night. Thanks to our early arrival, I was also able to get the bison meatloaf but our waitress did tell me that mine was the last order of meatloaf. Seemed a bit early to be running out but I'll take that risk for the freshness! It did take a bit for our waitress to show up though. But since she immediately brought me pickled cucumbers that were AWESOME, I kinda forgave her. :) The meal was fabulous and I even brought home leftovers and my meal was only $12. I felt that for bison, home-made mashed potates, squash casserole, and a roll, that was a decent price. Also, I thought it was really neat that everything was very eco-friendly. We did have a normal table covering but then we also had a brown paper placemat big enough for both of us, earth friendly straws, which are like cardboard wrapping paper tubes, only thicker - a little strange to drink out of at first, but fun! - and also an eco-friendly takeout box. It was quite an experience and I can't wait to go back and take other members of my family!

This is a great spot to go and get seafood, steak, or burgers. Cool upside, if you'd like you can get your burger or steak using buffalo meat.

Great food! I had a George's Cadillac (BBQ Bacon Cheddar Burger) with a Stella pint draft. Good atmosphere. Service was outstanding and very family friendly.

This is my first time to go here, but I think I like it and I will try again next time. I am not a burger fans, so I only tried their chicken sandwich with remoulade sauce. It tastes good. My husband loves the bison burger. The kids meals range between 5 and 8 dollars, typical kids menu with average quality. If your kids love meat, choose steak. The kids' steak was so good and juicy. The price of the dishes is quite reasonable. Interesting decor. My kids love the dining area. It reminds them of the dining area in the old train. My only complaint was the service - very slow, not attentive, but friendly (???). It was Sunday evening, past dinner time, not busy. The manager introduced himself and apologized for the delay. But it still took roughly 40 minutes to have our meal served. With no house bread served, we were so hungry waiting....

After a number of enjoyable dining experiences at Ted's in the Atlanta area, I looked forward to our initial visit to this Ted's in Indy and extolled the virtues to friends who joined us for dinner on a Friday evening. I was surprised to discover the size of this location was a fraction of the size of the Atlanta locations I had frequented and I was taken aback at how crowded and stuffy this one felt upon entering and while waiting for our table. After a 30-min. wait for a table, we were seated and the waiter took our drink order. So far, so good. However, shortly thereafter, the evening began to quickly head downhill. After being advised the shrimp cocktail (unique Ted's offering with a wonderful sauce and one reason I had selected this restaurant that evening) had been removed from the menu, we scrambled and ordered salads instead. At that time, I inquired about the advertised prime rib of beef and after checking on it, the waiter assured me there was a nice very rare piece available. After receiving our salads, we placed our dinner orders (or at least attempted to). One gentleman in our group ordered the BBQ Bison Short Ribs and was told they had "run out". He then tried to order the Bison Pot Roast and once again was amazingly advised they had "run out". He then asked, "before continuing this game, what else don't you have that is on the menu"? The waiter responded that "everything else was available" and recommended the Bison Meatloaf. We joked about the third time being the charm and he wound up ordering something tertiary on his list. Subsequent drinks were very slow in arriving the remainder of the evening and this was surprising given the relative short distance from our table and the bar. About ten minutes after our entree orders had been placed, the waiter returned and apprised me that they had also run out of the prime rib- yes the same prime rib which I had inquired about earlier and was assured there was a piece meeting my desired specification of rare. Flummoxed, I went ahead and ordered the Crab Cakes as we all sat back and tried to make the best of this growing comedy of errors. As everyone else in my group dined on their food, I waited...and waited...and waited for my crab cakes. Approximately fifteen minutes after everyone else had received their food orders (and subsequently were nearly finished), my crab cakes arrived. The wait was certainly not worth it as they were incredibly dry and overall the taste of all the food on my plate was quite vapid. To the waiter's credit, he did not charge me for the entree, but a $20 credit could not come close to salvaging what had become a very disappointing experience. After finishing the meals, we sat around conversing for about 30 minutes and as a result were one of the last groups in the restaurant to leave. For some reason (normally we would have exited after finishing dinner), the manager decided to approach our table at that point and offered his apologies regarding our inability to enjoy a number of entrees from their already-limited menu. He mumbled something about "making things from scratch" in an effort to explain the mysterious lack of key entree items- no explanation was given relative to the slow service and other operational problems at his restaurant- and offered some credit for a future visit. He may have felt compelled to say something to us as we had yet to vacate but the true reason for his presence in our area was revealed a few seconds later as the group in the booth behind us had a number of complaints which he absorbed. The token gesture of $10 credit for each of us (that is, each of the couples) was typical of how this place is run and I only hope my travels take me to Atlanta or elsewhere as the only chance I would use this $10 credit is if I am at a Ted's in another city. Add Ted's Montana Grill - Indy Northwest location- to your boycott list. There are literally hundreds of other restaurants in town where you will actually receive fair value for your dining dollars and won't have to worry about a third of the entree offerings disappearing early in the evening.

Had a terrible experience here yesterday. We went on our lunch hour, and stood inside the front door for 10 mins before anyone greeted or seated us - and with no apology either. Server with a terrible attitude took our order. Drinks arrived with lemon when we requested no lemon, food took 25 mins to arrive - both orders were cold and had condiments we had said we did not want I.e. onion, tomato.....and no cheese. We brought this to the server's attention and she took our plates away only to bring them back to us with slices of ice cold cheese thrown on top. We asked to speak to a manager and the server wanted to take the food away and hide it, which we did not allow. The manager clearly did not care - offered to remake the meals but by then lunch hour was over. A good manager would have asked us return soon for a better experience. They should replace both of those employees. We ran into a nearby Five Guys to grab a sandwich to take back to the office and the counter person could really teach Ted's a few things about how to treat their customers! What a totally different experience for us between these 2 restaurants!

Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.
McDonalds is the most popular fast food burger restaurant serving different types of burgers in the United States. On the other hand, there are several restaurants such as Burger King are famous for serving the best hamburgers in the United States. Most burger restaurants in the United States often serve hamburgers with French fries and other condiments. If you have a liking for burgers in the United States, then you won't be disappointed.

I tried a bison burger and it was very tasty.

(4)Jennifer R.

(5)Jeremy M.
(4)Elizabeth P.

Da bomb.
(5)Lauren R.
(4)Whitnie E.
(4)Darrin M.
(4)Mary D.
(4)Jacob M.
(4)Jonathan N.

Had a late lunch in the bar. Everything was delicious!! So good in fact, we decided to cancel dinner tomorrow night and go back for dinner. The No. 12 bison burger was the best!!

(5)rod m.

(4)Mary P.

(3)Ari K.
(1)Bob F.
Bison strip steak is killer. So is the pot roast. Service has greatly improved in last couple of months.
(4)Matt S.
Great staff, clean restaurant, reasonable prices. They needed a little more variety on the menu. 15 special burgers are to many. How about the "build your own" formula. Lots of dishes being dropped in the kitchen.
(3)Ellie P.

Very cool.
(4)Matt S.
(4)Lord B.
(4)Kristen S.
(4)Chris S.

(4)Dan M.
(5)Matthew T.
Try it, you won't be disappointed. .
(5)Christine B.
(5)Mary J.
Great service! They are excellent at handling food allergies which is hard to come by.
(4)Ann P.
(2)Chris S.
(4)Richard H.
(3)Kelly M.
Ted's has pretty good Gluten free menu. I had the bison filet and it was delicious! The waitstaff and hostess were very nice and tolerant of my especially grumpy fiancé. I like the novelty of the free pickles appetizer and paper straws. Ted's is pricey, but I do appreciate their environmental consciousness.

(4)Eric T.
Great food! I had a George's Cadillac (BBQ Bacon Cheddar Burger) with a Stella pint draft. Good atmosphere. Service was outstanding and very family friendly.
(5)Swt P.
