Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

It's the Cincinnati institution here in Indianapolis. Some say it is an acquired taste. I say you either love it or hate it. Great hot sauce and if you are not a chili and spaghetti person then I recommend the burrito. The new manager has made this location a more pleasant place to eat.

My favorite is the vegetarian black bean burrito loaded with lettuce it is truly awesome. I also like the five way chili with a Coney on the side.

Love this place! The food is great and it's always the same every time I go there. I wish they had a drive thru.

Having grown up in Cincinnati it was nice to visit the Indianapolis area and be able to eat at a Skyline. I have not eaten at a Skyline in almost 15 years. I think this review is somewhat flawed because I have not eaten at one in so long. The food was good, and the service was ok. But I love Skyline Chili so this place gets 4 stars!

I'm from out of town and a certified chilihead. I've read about Cincinnati style chili for a long time and this year got to this area a couple time for business. When I saw this was near my hotel, I HAD to try it. A month or two later I was back and ate there again. the Chili hit me the same way so I can say it is consistent. First thing I noticed what the huge amount of cheese. Hey, I'm from Wisconsin and this was more than even I would have put on mine! Now to the "meat" of the matter. I think the predominant flavor is nutmeg. I'd rather not have it but that being said, next time I'm near a Skyline's I will find myself drawn inside and again ordering some five way.

Now the secret is getting out: I was originally a Buckeye. I still love this Cincinnati Treat and it is about the only "fast food" I eat with a smile. And it is a very big smile. I seldom get up near a Skyline but I did last Friday and was entranced, transported, delighted. But I wonder if they have changed the supplier of oyster crackers. These yellow ones did not seem like I remembered. Still I enjoyed my lunch and brought some home for my wife and daughter. I was a hit.

I grew up in Cincinnati where chili is a staple food. I'm a diehard Skyline fan and always will be. This Skyline isn't quite as good as the Cincinnati locations (they each make their chili in house) but it is good. This place has its good days and its bad days but I continue to return. I'm also happy to see Indianapolis resident flock here during lunch and dinner, ensuring that it stays open and I don't have to drive back to Cincy each time I need some chili.

Love their chili! We always get the 3-ways and cheese coneys, and are never disappointed. Service is always fast and friendly, and attentive.

Went to school at University of Dayton way back in the '80s and fell in love with Skyline then. They've been in Indy for quite a while, and our one of my secret, guilty, pleasures. All Chili Burrito is great, and a Skyliner, or two, with everything is a must. Great Sweet Tea also. Cheri, who has been here for a long time, is a great, always friendly, waitress. Nice little fast food chili place.

Friendly service and the typical great skyline chili

I'm sure my meal was like a 1000 calories... but it was delicious!! Got the bean and rice 4 way with habanero cheese!! The small size is plenty of food!! It's layered spagetti with beans and rice and onions and a mound of cheese on top. Ridiculous! It was perfect for the cold weather though.
(4)Collin K.
Stopped in for a 3-way while we were in town, and the food and service were both excellent.

Skyline is a required stop whenever I go visit family in Ohio! The cheese coneys are amazing paired with a Three-way, which sounds dirtier than it is. I just prefer to have my chili on spaghetti without the raw onions or beans! I like this location in particular- the staff is attentive and friendly! Until next time!
(5)Amy D.
Really nice staff and a GLUTEN-FREE MENU!!!!! The chili is so good!!!! I got the Loaded Chili Bowl and a plane got dog on the side.. Yum! Mom got 2 coney dogs that come with the awesome chili on it! Clean place. Good service. Nice job guys :)
(5)Brian B.
Always like going to a Skyline for Cheese Coneys. This one doesn't disappoint. Server was very pleasant, helpful and attentive for a busy lunch day. Coneys were as expected and covered in cheese.

I didn't know they had Skylines in the Indianapolis area. This was a nice treat after running 26.2 miles. It's always Skyline time. Located in a small strip mall type area there is no drive through here. No problem though, it wasn't too busy. I ordered the regular and was on my way within a few minutes.

My boss, who's originally from Ohio, always talks shit about Skyline Chili in general, which made me all the more curious to try it, as I'd never had it before. I walked over from my office at Castleton Park for lunch, and upon entering I was extremely confused. Not once did I see a menu, either on the tables, near the cash register, or on the wall above. The only menu I saw was a laminated take-out menu that looked like it had seen better days. I ordered a regular size three-way, which I think they should probably rename. When I get chili with spaghetti, I don't want to imagine a menage a trois. I didn't specify whether I wanted it for here or to go (they should have asked!), so they gave me the three-way in a to-go bag with bags of cheese and oyster crackers. I specified that I wanted it for here and they were understanding enough. They even gave me extra oyster crackers. The chili looked like shit (not "it looked awful" shit, but "fecal matter" shit), but at least it tasted all right. I was really hungry. As far as the decor is concerned, this place looks like it hasn't had a refurb since 1993. Ivy knickknacks in the kitchen, etc. There were some weird hipster art pieces on the walls by the booths which looked extremely out of place because the rest of the establishment was just so barren and unhappy. Food? Okay. Not really worth my boss' hate, but I do understand where he's coming from. Also, not something to write home about. If I ever get food from this location again, remind me to get it to go, instead.

Not your typical Indy Chili but really good. Mrs. Cleveland rocks

Always good,never a bad time

This is "their" kind of place: The little guys rule here. In this establishment you will find the much desirable 2/3-size chill--- dogs. This is the way "they" like them. Stacked high with about two inches of mild cheese. Very easily covering any sharp flavors. Also it is easier for "them" to finish "their" plates. Allowing the parents to praise them in public. Also leaving room to try things like a few French fries. When I was there, a grandpa was playing a "tough love" stance with a little guy. He didn't have room to finish his food. But the minute desert was mentioned the little guy got hungry and kind of started fussing. Something about he had room for peppermint ice cream (like grandpa was going to have), but not enough for his food. Since he couldn't finish eating he wouldn't get any. (It was a very supportive environment for a grandpa to win). Skyline also has older people who come in. Read one of the many newspapers lying around, with a cup of coffee. It is a very good way to economize.

Well, I finally got to try this place. It had been on my list for a couple of years after seeing it on a TV southern food show. I thought I would have to go to Cinncinati to try it, but found that Indianapolis has a couple of locations. Skyline was interesting in that 1) the chili tasted different than any other chili I've tried, and I'm told it was strong of allspice flavoring, 2) the chili itself was void of beans and meat, and more like a soup, and 3) the servings are kind of tiny. The hot dog or Coney dog was only like 4-5" long, and the small 5-way plate was described as being served on an oval plate only about 6" long (I was advised to get a medium 5-way from the waitress, and which turned out to be just right). Overall, lunch was still a treat. The "5-way" is spaghetti served with chili, shredded cheese, onions, and beans. We also had a bowl of chili, a couple of Coney dogs and baked potato, with both topped with the standard chili and shredded cheese. I didn't care for the chili by itself, but the 5-way was yummy. The chili probably takes a couple visits for one to come around on it, and I will definitely try to visit again sometime.

I ate Skyline growing up and every Thursday in High School for 4 years. I moved away 12 years ago and have missed the chili since. Yeah there are the cans and the spice mixes but it's never the same as when they slop the stuff right in front of you. Welp, 6 years ago when I went vegetarian I thought my Skyline days were over, but wait, there's a "vegetarian way"!! It was pretty yummy and I came back a few times while in Indy for work. So take your meat eating friends and you'll also want to warn them that their stomach might have to get used to the spices in the chili.

Let me start by saying that I am a Buckeye, and I miss Cincinnati style chili. It's not your typical Hoosier chili, but I recommend that you try Skyline with an open mind, and you will have a new favorite chili. I am a vegetarian, and the vegetarian burrito is simple awesome! I have several different veggie chili recipes of my own that I prepare, but none are as good as Skyline. I would recommend that everyone try the veggie burrito, even carnivores are pleasantly surprised. So tasty that you will never miss the meat! The rest of my family are carnivores, and they vouch for the regular version. See if you can guess the secret ingredient! Service is very friendly and lightning-quick. The fact that it's cheap is just another point in Skyline's favor. And the restaurant is always very clean. Delicious....unique.....fast.....friendly.....cheap..........my favorite place to grab a quick and filling meal. I love Hoosier cooking, but chili is one thing that Ohio definitely has over Indiana.

I LOVE skyline. I was so happy to find that they had them in Indy. But I will never again visit this restaurant. One particular cook is to blame; she made our experience awful. Our order was taken by someone who was nice but seemed confused, so when one of the cooks brought us our food, I wanted to confirm just to be sure. She said "The one with the x on the box is the one without mustard." I said "so the other box is plain, right?" She said, "yep, just chili and cheese." We left, and when I opened up the "plain" box, there were onions and mustard everywhere. They made a mistake-no big deal. We turned the car around and told them what happened. The same woman who had just handed me my food and told me it was plain stood there and told us that we were lying. "I didn't say that. And I didn't take your order. Not my fault." I couldn't believe she was telling us we were lying about something that happened 5 minutes ago. It should not have been a big deal. All she had to do was remake them. She argued with us, she called us liars. It was ridiculous and I just wish I would have gotten her name so I knew exactly who to call out. Next time, I'm going to Washington street.

I grew up eating Skyline Chili... I love 4-ways and coneys! Seriously, there is something magical about chili, onions, and cheeesee!! I miss Skyline so much! I wish we had one in California.. But, its must every time I visit Indy.
(5)Morgan D.
OMG, I love having 5-ways with you Skyline. 5-way chili that is: spaghetti, chili, red beans, cheese, onions, mmmmm. Why aren't you in my hometown. I guess I have to wait until next year when I make the annual Christmas family visit to get some more of your goodness. Cincinnati style chili rocks and I believe the secret is cinnamon. If you've never tried it, you must at least once. This is one of my shameful Midwest obsessions, along with White Castle! Sadly, I must admit to smuggling some cans of Skyline home in my suitcase- not even close to the real thing. Yuck, stick with the restaurant.
(5)Jason W.
Awesome 3-way chili. It's sweeter than "traditional" but very good. The server was very good, he brought me a free sample to try it before I bought to see if I was a fan of the sweetness. Will be back.
(4)Neal P.
I had the chili burrito. Pretty good, piled high with lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cheese on the outside. The secret ingredient in the chili tasted like cinnamon and/or nutmeg and/or allspice. Cleanliness was good, including the men's room. Service was quick, and the waitress was there quickly to offer refills. Two TVs in the dining area.
(4)Nichole H.
The service here was pretty good, although that's not saying much when there were only 3 groups in the whole place. I love Chili so I'd been eyeing this place for a while. Finally stopped in a few weeks ago. I didn't realize this was a chain, but oh well. I had a Coney dog and an order of chili cheese fries. I have to say, everything was good - but the chili is weird. It's got some nutmeg or cinnamon in it which makes it slightly sweet. Not really my thing. Everything was fresh and the prices were reasonable... I just didn't dig that taste. Oh well.

For the intormation of the initial reviewer, Skyline is based in Cincinnati...and Cincinnati-style chili is an acquired taste...you either like it or you don't. I got used to it real quick when I first tried it in Cincinnati almost 30 years ago...and applauded its arrival in Indy. It also helps that this Skyline is within walking distance to my work. Skyline beats its main competitor Gold Star hands down. It is fresh and I happen to like it sweet and not watery....the garlic bread is also very good, be sure to ask for it buttered on both sides. Service can be hit or miss...at lunch I've waited as little as 5 minutes or as long as 20. The wait staff and counter people are usually nice, but you may get one or two that isn't. If you're coming into the mall area from the interstate, you'll have to turn left after 2 lights...you'll probably have to bear hellish mall-area traffic most of the day. But it's worth it if you can acquire the taste.
