Loxy Lady! Best lox bagel at its price point in Indy. I love smoked salmon, but baulk at paying $15 for one at Patachou and the chain-version down the street is suspect at best. I recommend ordering the Loxy on an onion or garlic bagel, to maximize your bad breath; you're already assaulting yourself with capers, cured salmon and onions, might as well go all-the-way. Other than the lox option, I've tried the overwhelmingly gooey Morning Mess, with chipotle cream cheese, 3 other melted cheeses, and egg; tasty, but trouble. Now that I'm in walking distance, I hope to visit more often to try out further menu items, instead of just being a lox-obsessive. The order and checkout lines can sometimes be backed up during busy hours, mostly from customers not knowing where to queue or who aimlessly wander around. The lines make the wait look more intimidating than it actually is. I always grab a Scotcheroo to go; who would order a boring, plain ole Rice Krispies treat, when a soft, delicious butterscotchy, chocolate-covered option is available? I always marvel at how the bagel-makers keep everyone's order straight with the massive amount of menu choices and customizations, especially when being inundated by the Saturday morning crowd.

Bagels are my weakness... when they are warm and doughy on the inside but have a nice crisp to the outside, I go crazy! So when a friend of mine was suggesting we try the Tonya Harding after a night of Halloween celebration, my mouth was already watering. The night began with a house party which led to the Usual Suspects and a long island for me. Then we ventured down to the Casba only to down some Washington Apples and witness a pathetic but battering fight. Then we crossed the street to Ripple and once the doors were open my nostrils were flooded with the warm smell of fresh bagels, pastries, and other delights! We ordered three Tonya Hardings and didn't look back... The staff put up with our late night antics and were very friendly and super helpful. The bagel sandwich was so full of meat I could hardly finish half way through... and I was hungry! So this place is not only good for late night snack.. but also breakfast the next day. Twofer!

This place is amazing! They have great customer service and all the bevel options you could ever dream of. Made right in front of you, look no further my bagel seeking brethren this is your home
(5)Kimberly P.
The food amazing and fresh. You can create your own bagel (or sub roll) sandwich or you can choose from 50+ different combinations on their menu. Staff is friendly. Restaurant is extremely clean. Only downside, small location with limited parking. This is because their demographic is pedestrians and bar traffic. Best tip, just try it you will not be disappointed.

I really enjoy bagels. I really enjoy sandwiches. I really, really enjoy bagel sandwiches. When I found this restaurant, which specializes in bagel sandwiches, I was understandably intrigued. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was the confusing layout. Very few tables. A very long counter with no clear area to order or pickup. And an incomprehensible chalkboard menu with at least 40 options, possibly designed by Guy Fieri. A sausage and egg sandwich isn't called a sausage and egg sandwich; it's called The Egg McMahon. You know. After that guy. Yeah. hold the donkey sauce, bro. Once I begrudgingly ordered my Ed McMahonwich, I'm fairly certain an employee ran to McDonald's to pick up an Egg McMuffin. My suspicion was confirmed by both the unreasonable wait time, and the unreasonable resemblance of my $8 egg sandwich to an Egg McMuffin. They don't make their own bagels. They don't buy good bagels. They don't even toast their bagels, which come out soggy. Their sausage was clearly microwaved, and my friend's bacon may or may not have been Beggin Strips... Anyways, don't eat here.

"I can only take certain people here for lunch" said my coworker as I held up my fingers which were covered in mayo, lettuce and poppy seeds. He was referring to how you can't be self-conscious about eating when you step in to Ripple Bagel & Deli. I admire the chalkboard menu with dozens of different combinations of bagel sandwiches. A whole board was devoted to turkey sandwiches (I got the Boilermaker - turkey, bacon, provolone, lettuce, tomato, mayo on a house Biary bagel) along with several vegetarian and vegan options (which my coworker enjoyed). The biary was good - described to me as a mix of bagel and English muffin along with poppy seeds. I'll have to come back and try other bagels before I can give them 5 stars. With so many options it might take me a while! My only disappointment is that I didn't notice they had salt bagels. Salt bagels are my FAVORITE bagels.
(4)Tim S.
I've been here a few times and have to say that I'm a fan. They've got great options and as others on here have said, tons of them! I got the "Billy," a breakfast bagel with boiled eggs and veggie cream cheese. It was absolutely delicious. It was a bit strange, though - apparently, there's also an option on the menu called "The Philly." This was a cause for confusion, and one I'm sure happens a lot. That's why I give them a four instead of a five: the logistics just don't always add up. I've come before when it's packed, and I'm not really sure why you order in the back before paying up front - are they going for the "traditional deli" thing? For a newcomer, it was confusing, and meant that I stood in line at the cash register before being told I was in the wrong line, then waited in line to ordered and hopped back in the cash register line. Why not streamline the process a little more? Why not more the cash register to the back to allow for people to come in and out? Why not have a sign that says "Order here first?" Just some ideas...

So yummy and unpretentious. Lots of choices. If you can't find one that you like, make up your own. I had the IU which is meatballs, cheese, lettuce and tomato on a poppy seed bagel. All of them are stream heated.
(5)Zach C.
This is my mine and my wife's favorite place! Fantastic food, and cheap too! Never had bad food here. Very fast and friendly service!
(5)Reid B.
This place is a personal favorite. I have honestly never ordered anything I didn't like and I almost always try to swing by whenever I'm in the area. Highly recommend!

From Wikipedia: "A catch-22 is a paradoxical situation in which an individual cannot or is incapable of avoiding a problem because of contradictory constraints or rules." Yup. That's Ripple Bagel Deli in a nutshell. They have tasty bagel sandwiches served in a chaotic, overly-complicated and hard-to-find-a-seat space. I literally cringe at the idea of going here until I remember how delicious the food can be. You have to stand in line to order, and then stand in line to pay. Except there aren't really lines, and it's hard to know where to order OR pay. Every time I eat here, the bagel steamers are yelling at customers. I didn't order a side of bitchiness with my bagel, thanks. This place has been open for over 10 years -- you'd think they'd re-construct the ordering and payment flow at some point. Basically, I think Ripple Bagel and Deli is the only place around serving food like this, so customers are willing to put up with the rudeness. I guess I am, too. For now.
(3)Sonya A.
Sweet Baby Jesus! I had no idea you could steam a bagel and fill it up with all sorts of yummies and have this marvelous creation that is so delicious. The variety of sandwiches are endless and the sandwiches are huge so be sure to fast a few days. You'll thank me later. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Location: 4/5
(5)Ryan H.
This place rocks. A little indie bagel shop that make sandwiches on bagels. Not sure what else I can praise on that hasn't already been said. My buddy introduced me to this on my vacation. It was so good I made sure to stop in on our way out of Indiana for another bite to eat. Can't exactly remember what I had the first visit, but on the second visit I tried their garggabor... not sure how to spell it? Ya it's just as awesome as the name sounds. You won't be disappointed with this place. Stop in get a bite to eat. I know I will every time I pass through Indy this will be one of my stops.
(5)Jennifer V.
Best breakfast or lunch sandwiches around I love a local place so we can give back to the community. Prices are reasonable and food is so yummy. I love BR bagel deli.
(5)Richard H.
Really terrific sandwiches on tasty bagels, and as other have said, tons of choices. It's a little confusing at first (you order in the back, then pay at the front), but the staff was lively and friendly, offering tastes of the soup of the day. Warning: the bagels are steamed, and when your sandwich comes out, it's HOT!
(4)Mallory W.
I'm not a big lunch meat eater but I make exceptions for this place. Endless combinations with the long lists of standards on the wall as well as the make-your-own and lottery options. This is not a place to go on a first date. You will, I repeat WILL end up with some of the generously applied bagel toppings on your face. They know this. That's why they literally have buckets of napkins on the table. Do everyone a favor and pull at least 5 of these said napkins out of said buckets before you start eating. That way you don't have to reach into the bucket with messy fingers and ruin all of the napkins for the rest of us. I say this from experience, both as the one with messy fingers, and the one with a messy face and a bucket full of dirty napkins. Everyone here is super friendly. Great casual atmosphere. If you're checking it out for the first time and are not on a date, I recommend the Boilermaker - a blt with turkey on the house bagel, bialy (bee-al-ee...I think). If you decide to go here on a date even though I told you not to, I hope you end up at a napkinless bucket, in which case I say right now: Told you so!
(4)Kylie S.
We decided to try something new in Broad Ripple for lunch this time around and decided to give this place a shot. There are so many choices. That's an understatement. It's definitely overwhelming. The food was really good. The customer service could use some help. The employees were not very attentive or helpful. We would eat here again!
(3)Lindsay R.
Hands down, one of the best in Broad Ripple.
(5)Kayla H.
Loved this place! There's such a variety of different bagel sandwiches. It literally took me 15 minutes to order because I had no idea what to get, it all looked so good! So much to offer! I ended up getting the create your own (since I'm a picky eater). I got turkey, cheddar, lettuce, and cream cheese on a everything bagel. It tasted amazing and was filling. Wish there was more seating, but sitting at the awkwardly tall bar was fine. Can't wait to go back and try another combination!
(5)Amy C.
Normally a five star, but today they lost one due to making two of our sandwiches wrong. :(
(4)Bridgett M.
As always, the Bagel Deli doesn't disappoint. My fiancé and I got there Saturday morning just after 8 and found friendly, familiar faces waiting for us!!! This means a lot because it's always nice to catch up while your bagel is steaming away! I had been craving the Loxy Lady for days, but switched it up with the new sriracha veggie cream cheese!!! Omg! If you like spice, please do yourself a flavor favor and check it out! There is always a wait at the bagel deli, even if they aren't packed, but, I know my sandwich will be fresh, hot, and delicious!!! Thanks for the great treat!
(5)jordan r.
just like I remember them being back in Oxford Ohio at the original bagel and deli. I get the crunch and munch, so tasty. definitely advise anyone looking for a good lunch or dinner in the broad tripple area to go here
(5)Brian M.
Man, you've just got to love a good independent bagel joint with tasty food and a lot of character. Ripple Bagel & Deli is one of my favorites in the neighborhood. The sandwiches are so good that I even go there stone sober during the week. I love breakfast for dinner, so I usually go for the Ga Ga Gabor, which is scrambled egg, bacon, ham, & smoked cheddar. Try it on a jalapeno bagel for a little more kick. Don't be afraid to branch out, though. Cream cheese & honey mustard on a turkey or roast beef sandwich may sound weird, but the High Maintenance and the Philly are two of my go-to's. Be advised, they can drip a bit. I leave the foil on mine, peeling it back as I eat it. Grab a napkin or two. The soups are good. They rotate based on the day of the week. I really liked the chicken noodle soup the other day when I was rockin' a head cold. The list, along with all the sandwiches are at ripplebageldeli.com/Extr… Oh, if you're not much into the carb thing, or are morally opposed to bagels, you can get any sandwich as a wrap. You can't tip on credit card payments (weird owner rule), so take at least a couple bucks in cash if that bugs you. The staff is always really nice. Come to think of it, I'm going to do just that and go grab a sandwich for dinner. Cheers!
(4)Rachael L.
Hello morning - Goodbye boring! There is a bagel for everyone here. Go ahead, see for yourself! You wont be disappointed. If you are planning your first trip to the Ripple Bagel and Deli, casually walk to the back where they assemble the sandwiches, place your order, then walk back to the front and pay. You will look like a regular. I know I looked incredibly lost the first time I walked through the doors. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options available!
(4)Brian S.
This is a cool little place! Stopped in here while exploring Broad Ripple for the first time. They have a very diverse menu of sandwiches, veggie options included, some cool drinks and chips, and overall a great vibe! I had the Lox of Love, which has smoked salmon, cream cheese, sprouts, tomato, cucumber, on a jalapeno bagel. It was delicious! I was initially concerned that the small wrapped-up sandwich they gave me wasn't going to fill me up, but the awesome thing about bagels is that they can fill you right up. Definitely a fan of this type of menu. The food was great, and the atmosphere was cool (and it was easy to jump on the neighboring Starbucks' WiFi when their's wasn't working), but the thing that REALLY made this an awesome place to visit was the fact that they were jamming all sorts of funk and soul, some classic rock, and other good oldies, and the energetic guy that made the sandwiches was singing along and being wacky. There's not much better than a food place that you can tell the employees love working at. This place has spirit and it hit the spot to satisfy my hunger. Highly recommended.
(5)Miguel F.
Sandwiches were mediocre but tasty I guess...the service was absolutely awful! The manager yelled at us for not hearing her ask us if we wanted our sandwiches there or to go....literally yelled across the entire store expecting us to hear/understand. When she received no response she got an attitude with us! Avoid this place. McDonald's right down the road has better service and better sandwiches.
(1)Rich B.
We finally got around to trying this place and were pleasantly surprised! The soup of the day was chili, we were graciously offered a free sample and after one spoonful we were sold - I ordered a cup of it and my wife ordered a bowl. It was meaty, nicely spiced and perfect for a rainy Sunday. We both also had bagel sandwiches - the selection is amazing with lots of veggie options too and an appealing breakfast menu. They are fine with you making adjustments to their menu items and you can even craft your own from scratch. I had one with turkey and avocado - I really enjoyed it! The sandwich chef didn't get it exactly the way I ordered it but close enough. They offer a lot of deli style chips, cafe style coffees and some great iced tea. If you haven't tried this place yet, do it - bagel sandwiches rule!
(4)Divya V.
This place is AWESOME! I cannot wait to try some other bagels. I got The Jaguar, hubby got The Billy and my mom got Banana Surprise for breakfast a few weeks back. The bagels are steamed and the cream cheese is melty goodness with eggs and veggies. Get your coffee elsewhere... but the food is great!
(5)Charlie O.
This place has inspired me to make my own bagel sandwiches, but not of mine compare to the fresh, steamed goodness of Ripple Bagel & Deli. Experience this for yourself.
(5)Brittany L.
I love this place. The biscuits and gravy are among the best in the city. Savory sausage, well-seasoned gravy that is neither pasty nor thin, and the biscuits are light and crisp on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. Sometimes I get a breakfast sandwich with eggs and bacon, other times the "make your own" option. I usually go for a garlic bagel with turkey and an herb or spinach smear around lunch time. I've never had a bad sandwich here. The ordering/paying system can be somewhat hectic if it's really busy, but food is still made pretty quickly. Make sure to save room for a Scotcharoo!! Are you gluten free? Tough. Seriously...I don't think they have anything for you here other than bottled drinks and maybe the potato stick dessert bars. They might have a GF soup here and there but I wouldn't count on it. Great option if you're vegetarian, not sure if their bagels contain eggs or not for vegans. But there are LOTS of veggie toppings!
(4)Brian M.
Stumbled on this gem while on a short jaunt around Broad Ripple. Unique store with lots of personality and a mind boggling variety of bagels fixed any way you can imagine and then some. The store has character. You wan't mind numbingly plain robotic response - hit your fast food joint. Otherwise get in line for the good stuff. We fed ourselves and our four boys and had fun doing it. Boys liked it, thumbs up! Mighty tasty.
(5)Nick J.
I've been here three times so far and each time I have yet to be disappointed. Before I get into the review, let me just say that the staff is awesome. There was a surplus sandwich that they literally just gave away to us for free. He subsisted off of this gargantuan "Trekkie" on a road trip back to Huntsville. I personally have had the "Sid's Atlas" and the "Monon Roadkill." These were both excellent. Each sandwich has some major weight to it-don't even bother getting sides as you can subsist off of one of these on its own. They definitely do not skimp on the fillings. I have been here at midnight, lunchtime, and early afternoon. This is definitely a place to stop by after a pub crawl. The lunch rush is a testament to how badass this place is. The line stretched out of the door and onto the sidewalk. Their online menu is only a fraction of the actual one. They have a standard menu (online) and an additional one that is constantly updated. The only negative I would say would be that the bar stools are somewhat awkward. My best friend and I have an ever-growing list of places that must be visited on a "Sandwich Tour" of the United States. Ripple Bagel is our choice for Indianapolis.
(4)Bryan B.
In short, if you just want a toasted bagel with cream cheese, go to Einstein. If you are looking for more of a quick lunch/dinner and are into steamed bagels, this is absolutely the place to go. The menu would take a year to work all the way through, but my go-to is the Roast Beef Philly. You'll need about 8 napkins, by the way. My only complaint is that if you go during the busy hours (particularly weekends), getting your food order in feels like putting in a drink order at a Chicago nightclub; be prepared to be passed up for people who arrived 5 minutes after you. With that said, the employees are very friendly and the wait is well worth it. I just can't believe I went 5 years without noticing this place!
(4)Jenna L.
Delicious and great fun atmosphere. I only wish they had more seating. The "Deer Creek" is awesome if you like veggies!
(4)Kyle F.
The best decision you can make at the end of a night in Bripp is eating at Broad Ripple Bagel & Deli. They have about 50 different sandwiches to choose from and they all sound appetizing. I will never leave Broad Ripple without making a trip to Bripp Bagel & Deli. Drunk or sober.
(5)Kinsey C.
In a word: "meh" This place has a great location, so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a go instead of our usual hop down to Einstein Bros. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that it seemed pretty unorganized. We stood around for awhile before we figured out where to place our order (a big pet peeve of mine). Once we ordered (a plain bagel with plain cream cheese for me, and some fruity bagel with plan cream cheese for him) I got the feeling that the bagels were store bought. Maybe they weren't, but it tasted like a bagel you'd pick up from the refridgerated section of Kroger. The atmosphere and location are great, that is why it got two stars. Even though I'd love to say I liked this place so I could buy local, I'm going to stick with Einstein's. They have much yummier bagels.
(2)Brett P.
This place is a really great find. I went here after a long night out for some late night eats. The food is great and the staff are very friendly. I had the Philly which was fantastic. There are a ton of sandwiches to try, ranging from sweet to savory to things only super drunk people would order. I am really happy I found this place and very glad they didn't have one near the bars at Purdue, I would have been fat and broke...but very happy. lol Defininitely go here if your in the area, anytime of day.
(4)David S.
I ordered breakfast for delivery, the service was exquisite and the food was delicious. My entire staff was raving about the sandwiches and the muffins. I highly recommend Ripple.
(5)Becca P.
This place is the best. I'm a vegetarian and there's so many options and they're all delicious. It also is really cheap for what you're getting. Also love the fact that they have Jones sodas and Rice Krispie treats. Good for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Fast service, good and cheap food! I recommend the deer creek to anyone especially vegetarians
(5)William C.
An excellent eatery with a style and ambiance entirely its own; the sort of place you feel proud to have down your street. I'm faced with the same 4/5 star decision I had with Papa Roux Toux. That is, this is not a place to delight in the brilliance of the components: the meats are meats, the cheese is cheese, the bagels are (darn good) bagels. The Ripple Bagel & Deli does not have a food "theme" as ambitious and inspiring as many of Indianapolis' new local/traditional/artisan-focused lunch spots have demonstrated possible. And sometimes the sort of double-cooking from the steaming process makes the meat a little taste and feel a little, well, double-cooked. But the plot is awesome: bagel with infinite possibilities, hot-steamed and indulgently satisfying every time. The chalkboard menu is huge, and the walls around it feature an extensive melange of fan art designs depicting customers' own creations. If this doesn't hammer home the message, the kicker is my personal favorite option: The Lottery! At a mid-menu cost, one of the staff will stare into your soul, search your deepest desires, and craft an uncannily pleasuring off-menu bagel sandwich. (Actually, I think they just make things they like, which doesn't end up being detectably different.) My results have ranged from from interesting crisp turkey-veggie combos to sausage-bacon-ham-honey-syrup-cheese-egg last-meal-on-earth fare.
(5)Jon A.
Pastrami on Poppy seed! I wonder if they're aware of their unique offering. Nowhere else in Indy is it offered... Tell me... when's the last time you've seen pastrami on a menu outside of Shapiro's or a burger joint in Indy? Rather rare... really. I don't understand, why, but I understand what I need to do: come here more often! Their full-tilt menu really allows you to switch up in many ways... a sandie on a bagel is flipping the script to begin with. This place is a stellar alternative to everyday chains or sandwich shops. Plus, it's fervently local & a longtime staple... Schmear of all kinds & will cater your order to your liking... Like me, "light on the light cream." And, plus that Bagel Clock is rad, as in let's have Doc Brown hook it up so we can go back to Ripple 1995 when The Patio was alive!
(4)Angela R.
Get your bagel here! Support a local business. This is one of the locally owned bagels shops in town. You can get breakfast, lunch, dinner, even a late night snack on Friday and Saturday nights. I hadn't been here in several years and this place is just as I remembered it. The feeling is nostalgic, like you're walking into the 90s. Music, wall decor, evidence this place has been well loved over the years. Welcoming folks behind the counter, greeted me while they were quickly preparing these delicious bagel sandwiches. I ordered the Deer Creek, and yes I still call the big music center by this name. Not only did this sandwich shout out to me by it's clever name, I was looking for avocado for lunch. A few magical minutes later, the bagel appeared. As my friend and I were enjoying our food she exclaimed, "this is the first time I've not gotten messy while eating here." The sandwiches have wonderful flavor, so you're in for a treat.

I love butter as much as the next guy, but when you spread to the point where it's just dripping down your arm. I just don't think this is a good look. Especially when your Christmas present tie is permanently stained.
(3)Michayla S.
If there is something you think would be good on a bagel, this place can do it. It has all types of bagels and toppings. The have one sandwich made from honey, peanut butter, and bananas, and it's so good. Also, there are giant pickles. I love those. This place has options right for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. You can pretty much go there whenever. You just have to like bagels.
(4)Mike T.
Cool Atmosphere, Great Bagel Sandwiches, Clever Sandwich names.... and overall really nice people working there. My Friends and I grabbed a bunch of sandwiches for both lunch and dinner here and ate them through out the day.... And loved every bit of it. Say no to Einstein Bagels and support the little guys at Ripple Bagel and Deli.
(4)Kristin G.
Steamed bagels? I said, perplexed...then took a bite and said STEAMED BAGELS!!! Thank you, Ripple Bagel for making me a believer...for opening my eyes to the wonder that is a steamed bagel sandwich. Before I nauseate you all with all my gushing, let me get down to the nitty gritty: I ordered the Greek bagel: onion, feta, cucumber, black olives, cream cheese (and I had them add banana peppers) all on an onion bagel. The steam made the onion bits a little gooey but I kind of liked that because it seems to have woken up the toasted onion flavor on the outside of the bagel. It really was something special. I can't believe in all my days of making my own kid meals with a twist that I never thought to steam a bagel. It's quite genius, really. If I ever go back through Broad Ripple, I know where I'll be making my pit stop! Oh, and they have my personal favorite brand of root beer - IBC. Definitely a plus!
(5)Jarrod R.
I have it all planned out. I'm going to run for Congress and have as part of my platform to make this gem a National Treasure. Sure there may be other "important" issues out there, but this type of business needs to be celebrated to the nth degree. Ripple Bagel and Deli does have an extensive menu, which was a little jarring, especially with my ADD. But once you get in the zone, it's all very clear and the delicious goodies present themselves when you need them. The service at this pinnacle of deli delights is incredible. A team from the Kelley School should come up and take notes on how to best take care of a customer. Yes, it's kind of quirky, but every time I've left, I've felt very good about the experience with a full belly. While at IU, I would walk down to Kirkwood and visit a place called NY Bagel and Deli and they steamed their sammitches the same way the Ripple does, which makes them just perfect. That sense memory kicked in the first time I bit into my bagel and I was transported back to my Freshman year. And while NY Bagel and Deli is gone, replaced a few times over, I will do my best to keep you guys in business one bagel at a time. Thank you!
(5)Rye D.
Yah!! This used to be my favorite sandwich place when i was vegetarian. Now they have something VEGAN!!! on the menu Aunt Pins Peta approved sandwich on Pumpernickel with avocado and Hummus yum!! I love the atmosphere of the bagel deli it's always busy and there is never a line! Literally they don't believe in lines! The Sandwich's range for $4.50 to $6.50. They have about 10-15 veggie options and about 30 options for the meat eaters. Definitely try it out if you haven't been here already.
(5)Erin M.
Hands down the worst vegetable cream cheese I have ever tasted. Nickel sized chunks of radishes and it was SUPER sweet. I had to wipe it off the bagel it tasted so awful. I ordered it after they touted it was homemade. Well, that recipe is JACKED UP. They also put American cheese on everything, which is the opposite of gourmet. Get a sharp cheddar! I mean, come on. It's not hard. Seriously one of the worst bagel places I have ever eaten at.
(1)Brooklynn M.
One of my favorite places for breakfast. Their staff is very friendly and quick to get your food prepared. They also have something for just about anyone and are always adding to their menu. I went recently and they had Sriracha cream cheese! Delish! Great place for vegetarians as well as meat lovers! :)
(5)Brian H.
Disclaimer: I used to manage this shop, so my opinion is biased. That being said, I think this is hands down the best sandwich shop in Indy. The menu combinations are virtually endless and cater to every kind of taste. I challenge anyone not to find something they like!
(5)Samantha H.
Very good sandwiches. This place can get chaotic at times like breakfast or late night but most of the time there is not that many people in there. I think steaming the bagels is such a good idea. I like a toasted bagel and cream cheese but to have on a sandwich the steaming just works better than toasting. I can never remember what I got the time before when I go here. The menu is overwhelming but sometimes can trigger a good idea.
(4)Todd R.
Nothing beats a steamed bagel sandwich for breakfast. The anticipation is only surpassed by the wonderful smells of various bagels like banana nut, Apple walnut, garlic salt, onion, whole wheat, and much much more. My first experience here with the Ga-ga Gabore. A plain bagel made scrambled eggs, several cheeses to choose from, superbly shredded super salty cured ham, all seared and steamed to piping hot perfection. The delectable deli sandwich melts from existence and one is left to wonder what happened to that lingering feeling of anticipation. The only cure for this empty feeling is to, of course, order another. I'll be back!
(5)Byron J.
Broad Ripples best way to carbo-load! Bagel Deli is serving up the funkiest sandwiches anyone could ever think up, and they are simply irresistible. Walking in you notice right away that you couldn't possibly make a quick decision in this place. Between the 20 foot long 6 foot high menu board, to the scatterings of random customer creations that decorate the walls, you could spend a whole afternoon just trying to decide. Fortunately they have everything broken down by main protein (Turkey, Veggie, Ham, Roast Beef, Combo, etc.) So as long as you have some inkling of what you want you can come to a reasonable decision. But no matter, the sandwich you order will be the bomb. My understanding is that this shop started as a concept near the Miami at Oxford campus in Ohio and then branched out to Indiana's own version of a prestigious small private school. The menu constantly changes by adding customer creations that are turned into 8x10 pictures and hung on the walls. Local artists can also showcase their works at Bagel Deli and you can catch the pulse on Indy's Indie scene by reading the message board on the wall, usually pretty full of small time concerts and goings ons in the Broad Ripple area. The owners are usually in store, and nicer people you can not find, they love to chat and if you have a mouth and at least one ear they will certainly make your day with friendly conversation. Other offerings include a soup of the day and you can get biscuits and gravy for breakfast, a wide variety of kettle chips and miscellaneous juices to compliment your carbaliscious lunch. Check them out for all meals and a late night post Broad Ripple boozin' snack. Make sure to say hi, and try to know what kind of meat you want on your sandwich before you go in. One insider tip...they steam their sandwiches, and in my opinion, steamed hummus is pretty gross, so you might want to steer clear of the hummus based stuff, but anything with their veggie cream cheese, will knock your socks off.

Love, love, love. Dear Ripple Bagel and Deli will you marry me? They have a huge selection and everything can be personalized. Good is great every time and service is always wonderful. I would eat here everyday. In fact, I might already be eating here everyday.
(5)Lindsay P.
What to choose, what to choose. So many incredible options. It's a bit overwhelming at first to narrow down your selection amongst the huge chalkboard lining the whole back wall. I was happy with whatever I chose (forgot the name but it had turkey, bacon, cream cheese, smoked cheddar, lettuce and tomato on an onion bagel) and my husband will never stray from the Tonya Harding Club. Huge pickles available for $1! Bonus!
(4)Rebecca O.
These bagel sandwiches are amazing! They really hit the spot and the ingredients are mouth-watering. I got the Franks, which has roast beef, mustard, and cream cheese. The cream cheese is absolutely delicious! I highly doubt this is store bought stuff. Incredible sandwiches and friendly staff. A+
(4)Cassandra W.
One of the Better Bagels available in Indianapolis and yummy sandwiches. That is all I have to say.
(3)Bodie S.
How have I not eaten here before? It was perfect! I was extremely surprised at how much I liked and appreciated this experience. The food was fantastic and the staff was great; even during what they were going through (someone pooped all over the bathroom). I ordered The Ripple Rocket, which consists of bacon, cream cheese, avocado, tomato, sprouts, and mustard all on a poppy seed bagel. Did this combination of ingredients just blow your mind? Because it did mine. I highly recommend ordering this if you are looking to try something new. Sandwiches made out of bagels--I really wish I would have thought of that. I also bought some salt and vinegar chips and I unexplainably had a glass with me and they let me fill the glass with water. My late-night meal here cost around $7.50 give or take and it was beyond worth it. Please give this place a chance if you haven't already tried their food. If this restaurant was an ice-skating contest, I'd give it all tens.
(5)Matt R.
You're gonna have a YUM YUM! The sandwiches are a good value. Lots of choices, good but not extreme volume, and good prices. Great bagels and quality ingredients. Enjoy!
(4)Aly B.
5 words: MELT IN YOUR MOUTH BAGELS. 4 words: YOU SHOULD GO THERE! 3 words: THEY'RE SOO GOOD! 2 words: DO IT! 1 word: YUM :)

If you like to be overwhelmed, you'll love the menu at this joint. There must be at least a few hundred bagel and other sandwich recipes that will leave you reading the menu for several minutes. I wonder how many times the employees have heard the words 'I'm not sure what I want yet' from patrons. They have the sandwiches divided up on the menu by type, ranging from turkey, to beef to vegetarian bagel sandwiches, with several to choose from in each category. Don't forget to scan the area at the top of the regular menu, which is located on the wall above the counter, as many special recipes have been added since they opened. Many of the recipes, particularly new additions, have been named after someone, or something. In addition to the bagel sandwiches, they have Chicago Dogs, aka Chicago-style, all beef hot dogs with all the Chi-City fixins. This is the perfect stop for Indy-based Cubs or Sox fans who want to catch a game at one of the nearby bars, and wish to have a little taste of the Second City before or after the game. If you have a sweet tooth and/or you like Rice Krispie Treats, you must reach for one of their special krispie treats. These things are out of this world, with white chocolate, peanut butter chips and other deliciousness packed inside. Located right on the avenue near the corner of Broad Ripple and Guilford, the Bagel Deli is great for an afternoon lunch or snack, or a late-night treat after a night of professional bar hopping.

This place is UNIQUE to Indy, it offers endless possibilities you can make up on your own, or pick a combo off the huge board on the wall. The staff are welcoming and helpful. It can be crowded but there is usually enough seating room if you want to stay. It is good for breakfast/lunch/dinner.
(5)shanna r.
I will drive completely out my way just to eat lunch at this place. It's delicous!! The possibilities seem endless and the quality of food is fantastic. The system of ordering and paying seems to be a bit disorganized and the seating is limited but after you take your first bite those things don't seem to matter! This place is worth your time. Panera, Einstein's, or any other place don't compare.
(4)Beth C.
Yum! Never had a bad bagel sammy here-ever. And sooooo very many vegetarian options! Love all the fun and unique bagel names and the friendly employees. The only downfall is that it seems unorganized at times. You may find yourself wondering where the line is? Where should I wait? When do I pay? Just go with the flow... it's well worth it!
(4)Brian F.
Unique Bagel place, delicious! ..super friendly staff. Just good people. One of my favorites in town.
(5)Mia M.
All this time living in Indianapolis, and I had no idea that my favorite steamed bagel place in Oxford, OH had made its way to me! I thought I was going to have to make a trip across the state line to introduce my husband to the goodness that is the Bagel & Deli, but luckily, we only had to drive down to Broad Ripple. The menu is expansive - make that enormous. It's thankfully divided up into sections - roast beef, turkey, vegetarian, etc - because the names of the sandwiches rarely give any indication of what's actually on them. Take, for instance, my favorite - the China Cat Sunflower. While it does come on a sunflower bagel, it does not contain anything Chinese or cat-related. It's topped with vegetable cream cheese, smoked cheddar, red onions, cucumbers and Italian dressing. Of course, you can always choose to create your own sandwich, or let the experts behind the counter decide for you. There's a huge variety of drinks (Jones Sodas, Odwalla juices, iced tea, etc), it's not overpriced... I haven't been there after the bars close, but it has to be a better alternative to your stomach at 3:30 AM than a burrito as big as your cranium. We went there on a Sunday afternoon and it was fairly quiet. Skip Jimmy John's, skip Subway... go to Ripple Bagel & Deli.
(5)DJ S.
What can I say about the Bagel Deli? This place is a gem in Broad Ripple and is a frequent hangout of mine. I never knew the simple bagel could be so good until I found this place, as their secret is in the steam cooking method. With a menu that would take years to sample everything listed, you really cannot go wrong here. Truly something for everyone. The atmosphere is great as well--relaxed and casual as they let you pay at your convenience. After your bagel, grab a cookie or rice krispie treat by the counter...homemade and delicious.
(5)Matthew T.
This is another location in Broad Ripple that is a great experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Always great food and service. You will not be disappointed. Get creative with your order.
(5)Terrian B.
I absolutely love this restaurant. My first experience was in high school and I would go here with my friends after class at least twice a week. Whenever I come home from university I'm always craving a Cam 'N Swiss. I've said many times that I will be deeply depressed if this place ever disappears. Its that good and if you haven't been there yet, you are missing out!
(5)Emma B.
Are you serious! This place is nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom and nom! The menu is huge and everything is delicious. That's basically all that needs to be said. It will not disappoint. And....huge dill pickles. I'm talking HUGE. I'm drooling a little bit.
(4)Arnold P.
Dawg Pound is my favorite bagel here, i just wish they toasted the bagels...Steamed bagels just aren't my thing.
(3)Joshua S.
The wild honey pie was amazing and much better than the banana surprise. Needed a knife and fork to eat it as it was dripping with honey.
(4)Leigh S.
My bagel itself was good, but I'm not convinced about this "steamed" thing. I was hesitant when I ordered it, but the woman at the counter convinced me to give it a try. My suspicions were correct, steaming a bagel makes it kinda soggy and slippery. Gross. I won't hold it against this place, though. Next time I'll know better and just get it toasted. It was a neat restaurant, the workers were super friendly, and it could take an hour to read the whole menu, since it was so extensive. Oh- and don't miss the butterscotch/chocolate Rice Krispie treats. They are to die for...
(3)holly s.
i'd more than approve their enivornment because I require a good one while I eat. if not, I wouldn't eat properly. nah, it's full of spirits and noises that fit their way of decorating their restaurant, which I love the most! one of my friends bought a gallaudet univeristy flag for them to put up their wall and they did! as for gallaudetians who swing by, you'll see it there! thanks to scott cohen! :D oh food? their infamous bagels are unbelievably delicious! there are a lot of options that'd probably overwhelm you! be caution! :) I even brought some guests who stayed at my place to this place and they loved it! I'm dead serious. :) broad ripple's one of the best places you could ever find good delis like this! (I'm currently in cambodia, I can't stop thinking about this. when I return to home, this is probably the first place I will ever go to)

So it's about 11 on a Friday night. The Cypher is over, at Starbucks in Broad Ripple and right next door is a cute little deli shop. It's not that small, actually, bigger than Gourmet Franks. So I meet a friend there and we stand back and look at the menu that's been written on the wall. There are at LEAST 60 sandwiches to choose from. There are about 30 more that customers have made up themselves and adhered to the wall. All made with bagels and all are steamed. You'd think it was going to be a smaller sandwich, maybe not so filling, since its made with a bagel. Not the case... So, I order a Blonde Bombshelle; turkey, extra swiss, lettuce and vegetable cream cheese. Tempting was the sandwich with ham, bacon, turkey, cheese, mustard, lettuce and onion. But, I'm trying to watch my weight... So you kind of stand around in the swanky bright blue deli, waiting til they call your sandwich out. This isn't a place where they serve you and the napkins are cloth. We get our late night meals and sit on the sturdy wooden tables. The bagels are wrapped in a thin foil, likely to seal in all the juices from it being steamed. So I unwrap my sandwich and behold this glorious cheese come oozing out. It was beautiful, long cheese- the kind you can pull and it just keeps stretching. So, I dig in. Friend digs in. Two sandwiches (and Nick orders a Vitamin Water 10, *Hi Nick Williams*) for $14. Not TOO bad. My sandwich was big and messy (just how I like them) so I wanted to cut it in half. No knives around and I didn't feel like getting up so I just ate it. The bagel sandwiches are awesome. They can't really be compared to like Penn Station or Jersey Mikes because they're on flavored bagels and they're steamed. I'm not sure I've had another sandwich like it, really. The bread becomes really soft and the meat is fresh, cheese is gooey once melted and the flavors of the bagel and the cream cheese all come together to make a masterpiece in your mouth. I've GOT to go back and try another bagelwich. Once I had a bite I tried to stop eating long enough to take a picture of it. You'll see below I didn't stop until halfway through... They also have Chicago style hot dogs, soup and breakfast. They're pretty much always open, great for breakfast, lunch and late night snacks. I will definitely be going back. You should try it.
(4)Amanda L.
Great food great atmosphere! Friendly staff, you will leave full!
(4)Kylee W.
The very best bagels I've had in Indy. They have such a huge menu when you walk in, it's really hard to choose. I've tried a few different types, different sandwiches, and different dessert-ish bagel dishes. I've never had anything that wasn't great. I wish I still lived in Broad Ripple so I could go here more often, Broad Ripple is kind of difficult to navigate at times because the parking sucks. If anything is worth a crap parking situation, it's gotta be this.
(4)Karhma D.
My friend lamented to me that the steamed bagel sandwiches are the only things she misses since becoming vegan. I had to go try them. They're outstanding.. soft & chewy w/ melty cheese/cream cheese. The Weekapaug I had was dressed w/ a mild honey mustard that complemented the other ingredients perfectly, which is quite a feat since I'm not a fan of honey mustard on sandwiches usually. My son's Chia Pet was declared the best at the table. They have a huge selection & it's hard not to love a place that has over 10 different vegetarian choices alone, not to mention the other 50-some for meat eaters. Definitely a great place to grab an inexpensive delicious place w/ friends, kick back on their sturdy comfortable stools, & survey the art work/customer created sandwiches papering the walls.
(5)Kent S.
It's rare to have a healthier option such as this for a late night dining establishment. I can say that I've crashed through their doors on several occasions after a great night at the Alleycat. The selection is great, the staff is helpful, and if I can get turkey on a blueberry bagel at 3am then you have yourself a happy patron. Being a fan of potato chips, I was excited to see a variety of Dirty's All-Natural Potato Chips to choose from. I think that the last time I went there that I had one of every kind. I'm also told that the staff was laughing at me after I passed out. Still a great time!
(5)David W.
Yummy. I have never had steamed bagels before. They were delicious. I really enjoyed the atmosphere too.
(4)Kyle F.
Best place to get a sandwich in broad ripple. Also very unique compared to most other sandwich ideas, yet not 'unique in a weird way.' The homemade treats and cookies are another great addition. Awesome place.
(5)Kaitlyn T.
I had a garlic bagel with cream cheese, and it was perfect. My only complaint was that I'm a stranger to these parts and didn't realize that bagels defaulted to "steamed" rather than "toasted"... so we ended up with one of each. The toasted bagel was perfectly toasted, crisp on the outside and nice and chewy inside. Steamed bagel also got high reviews from my companion, but for me, an untoasted bagel is sacrilege. OM NOM NOM BAGELS
(4)Marc K.
The Ripple Bagel & Deli serves steamed bagel sandwiches with nearly every possible meat, cheese, and topping known to man. They have an extensive vegetarian selection, I recommend the Deer Creek, it's yummy! The homemade soups are also very tasty. I think they have sub sandwiches too, but the bagels are so goo, I've never tried one. Don't leave without trying a skeedoodle - a wonderful peanut butter rice crispy thingy on crack. As noted on their web page, the Ripple Bagel & Deli is patterned after the Bagel & Deli Shop in Oxford, OH.
(5)W V.
Overrated and not worth the price
(1)Mark W.
What a mess! but boy it tasted good!
(3)Matthew W.
AMAZING! Me and my family and friends love this place! Seems like they have hundreds of options. My favorite is the Big N. I have never been disapointed! If you visit Indy, you have to eat lunch here!
(5)Angela H.
Bagels....good. Meat...good. Bring those two things together you win a tighter pair of pants and utter ambivalence in regards to said tighter pants because your steamed bagel sandwich was totally worth it. That's what the Ripple Bagel and Deli is about. Steamed bagely sandwich goodness ( In case you had any bright ideas I am trade marking "bagely" ASAPely). For those of you who just want to do the bagel basics of bread and cream cheese you too will be set. The Ripple Bagel and Deli also has daily soup specials. Trust me when I tell you that the corn chowder will change your world forever. I haven't proved it yet, but there is crack in that chowder...actual crack. This is Indiana and I should probably compare it to meth, but crack has the better rep. If you are also in search of something in the lines of catering, I have had the Deli provide lunch on numerous ocassions...always a winner. Perfect hangover food and equally beloved by those whose heaviest drink thus far has been breast milk. Fantastic crew! It's like "Cheers" but with bagels, but I am sure if you ask Ken, the owner, nice enough he'll sneak you that beer. Norm! Ooops, I mean Ken!!!!
(5)Stacey B.
in the heart of broad ripple, it's open late so its perfect for a late night snack or to soak up some up that alcohol in your belly. there are a lot of veggie options along with a whole lot more not so veggie ones and it's friendly on your wallet.
(5)David M.
Why have I never been here before?? I've probably driven past at least 200 times. The deli is smushed in with a street full of other businesses, so it can get lost in the mix. This deli has been around for the long haul, which means they must be doing one or two things right...right? Right. The sandwiches are all served on steamed bagels. Usually what draws me to a good bagel is the mix of crunchy and chewy, but the steaming makes for a great sandwich bun. Not too tough to squish out all the ingredients but still chewy enough to play a starring role in the meal. I got the Ripple Rocket. It was awesome. I look forward to going back to try a new sandwich on the menu.
(5)Jeff W.
Consistently fantastic quality food, occasionally they want for seating area. In my opinion this is the best breakfast in Broad Ripple if you're among the crowd the enjoys breakfast sandwich-like items. Into spicy and cheesy? Try the Morning Mess, you will not leave hungry.
(4)Gordon W.
I'm pretty sure I could eat here every day for the rest of my life and not get tired of it. Try the morning mess add jalapeños, or the Monon roadkill, or better yet ask for a spicy lottery and you won't be disappointed. All-time favorite sandwich shop. Period.
(5)Jamie P.
Just amazing. It's so hard to choose a bagel, but the high maintenance never disappoints!
(5)Dylan E.
This is one of those places that people would look at me like I was crazy when I admitted to them that I have never actually been here, but I finally solved that issue by stopping in on a Saturday morning before the farmers market. All of those shocked looks finally make sense. Their location right on the main strip of Broad Ripple Ave means I walked by this unassuming little place more times that I care to count without ever stopping in to check it out. There was plenty of bike parking right in front of the store, and enough metered street parking during the time we were there that it didn't look like you had to walk far if you decided to drive and park. The shop has a big counter where you put in and pick up your order. There is no line, and there is not really a discernible process other than the people making sandwiches just trying to find the next person who was ready to order and getting to work. It was a little busy when I was here, which made it feel very hectic, especially in the small space. The lack of any written orders also leaves a lot of room for errors and one person in our group had to wait extra long because the person who originally took his order forgot about it until he asked again. There is a little bit of seating inside, but it isn't much and it feels very cramped when it gets full. Once you order, you just go up to the cash register to tell them what you got and pay for it, and then just listen for them to yell out the name of your sandwich when it gets done. The steamed bagel sandwich was a new one for me, but it was really good. It made it a lot more like a dense hamburger bun then the toasted bagel I am used to having, and it was super hot. There are a ton of options for sandwiches that they have written on a big chalk board on the wall, so deciding on just one sandwich is not an easy task. I cannot recall which one I got, but it was delicious, which is the same sentiment that everybody I was with shared about their food. My bagel got cut a little thin on the bottom so it made it pretty difficult to eat, but even in the best scenario I think you want to make sure you have a couple of extra napkins before diving in because they get piled thick with ingredients. The price for just the sandwiches was for the most part in the $6-$7 range, which is the top end of what I would pay for this. You can also make it a meal with a bag of chips and a drink from their fridge. I love that they are open after the bars close on the weekends, and this will be one place that will definitely be on my radar the next time I need a late-night snack to help soak up some alcohol. Finally, the girl who was running the cash register was probably the nicest customer service person I have ever seen, and the staff in general seemed very nice, helpful, and patient with our group who took forever to come to final decisions on what we wanted. That alone moves this place high on my list of places to grab a quick bite in Broad Ripple. I don't have a fifth star on here mostly due to the number of places in the immediate area to get a full meal for about the same price that offer more indoor seating, outdoor seating, and wait service. If they were a bit cheaper or had some better options for seating, it would be hard to beat.
(4)Tara Q.
Out and about and needed a bite...I always pass by this place but never venture in. A bagel sandwich just sounded right, ya know? My latest obsession is avocado...I add it to just about everything when I can. My order here was no exception. I got the Mr. Turkey that came with provolone, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a plain bagel...with avocado added. One thing I will say, the wait is worth it, but dang are these things messy! You will need napkins, so don't try to act cool and whip your bagel sandwich out without protection...be prepared. Any sandwich they have can be made in wraps too, they offer fresh soups, veggie options, tuna, salads, and more. Next time I visit, I'll be ordering their authentic Chicago hot dog...it just looks good. Each sandwich has a cute name, for example the Blonde Bombshell, The Vogue, The Trekkie, Deer Creek, etc. These folks mean business too. Have your money ready, they are quick at the cash register because they get so busy. There's not a lot of seating inside, but if you're one of the lucky ones to get a table, it's fun to watch them work behind the counter creating these fun and delicious sandwiches!
(4)Brittany S.
Finally! Hallelujah! Prepare yourself for the world's largest menu - - I literally had to write my order down so I wouldn't forget what I wanted. (In case you are wondering, I opted for the hippie on bialy with egg and bacon added). I'll probably go for the exact same order next time because that $6.38 dandy knocked my socks off and left me full for 6+ hours (miracle). If you're looking for other meat options, they also have ham, turkey, corned beef, boiled egg, pastrami and so on. I was amazed by how many ingredients they keep on hand. Kudos to this business for keeping orders straight and serving every sammie with a smile.
(5)Laura H.
This place. First of all, there's a bagel clock on the roof. So right away it's exactly the kind of cool, whimsical place that I want from Broad Ripple. It's always pretty busy, but the staffers somehow get everyone in and out cheerfully and quickly. Which is great, because I spend most of my time actually in the place staring vacantly at the menu because there are SO many delicious things to try. Suggestion: download the PDF and choose before you go, or get a Lottery. I picked up a Lottery for someone else and described his likes and dislikes to the staffer, who seemed genuinely excited to create something unique and, as it turns out, completely delicious. I've had the Big N and a salmon thing, both life-changingly good. We also like to snag a tub of Sriracha cream cheese because we're good people.
(5)Courtney R.
This place is seriously the bomb.com ! If you're looking for an awesome sandwich shop, Ripple Bagel & Deli is the one. Every one of their sandwiches is featured on a bagel (which you can choose what one if you like) and it's nice and fresh! They have so many menu choices, it's kind of overwhelming at first, but it's not a bad thing because choices are great! You can always create your own if you're not seeing anything you don't like. It's a little pricey to go there everyday, but if I could, I would! I definitely recommend this place!
(5)April T.
I was wanting a delicious bagel so after searching Yelp... I found Ripple Bagel and Deli. It is in hippie Broad Ripple which I have usually found neat and different places to eat, play, and shop. This was no different. It was similar to what the reviews I read described. It can be a little overwhelming with all the options on the wall. It isn't very big so place can feel tight when you walk in to order. To order, walk down the counter to view the menu board straight on. The staff is friendly and helpful...there is no rush to order. I decided on The Mess - they were out of bacon which was disappointing but it was nearly Noon. I optioned for the Garlic Herb spread over the Chipotle cream cheese. I paid for my sandwich and waited for it to be made. The steamy sandwich was piping hot in the foil. I made my husband hold it. Was it messy?? A little but in the foil I was able to enjoy it as we walked around Broad Ripple. I will definitely be back for another.

If you've got a hankering for a quick bite to eat and a pipin' hot bagel sandwich sounds up your alley, look no further than Bagel Deli! Pros: -LARGE menu. Turkey, ham, roast beef, veggie, breakfast sammies. You name it, they've got it. Or create your own! -Relatively quick service. There's not really a formal "line," just step right up to the counter when you've made your decision. Takes 5-10 minutes to get your food. -It's really good. They steam your bagel sandwich, so the cheese (if you got any) is melty and gooey. Nothing better than a hot sammy! -Relatively cheap. Sandwiches are $6-$7. You can grab chips or a drink, too! Cons: -It's tiny. Can get crowded on a busy day! -Not really much indoor seating. -Like the businesses adjacent to it, no outdoor seating. This is more of a grab 'n go style place. I got the Debbie Disaster (turkey, provolone, sprouts, avocado, cucumber, tomato) on my first visit and loved it! I'll be back soon to check out more varieties!
(4)Ayla W.
Delicious! I mean, this is a very very cool place. I should have known I would love it because well, I love mcdonalds breakfast bagels. I just never thought of having a lunch or dinner option. Anyways I got the philly and it was THE BEST! I Took my staff with me and the girls got the pizza bagel, the boilermaker and IU. They all loved them! Neither of us got the breakfast options but we really wanted to! We were just full. I'm sure you can't go wrong here! You can also build your own bagel just in cause you can't find something you like out of the 100's of options (it's really less than 100 but there are a lot). You have to go if your in broad ripple!
(5)Michelle L.
I have frequented this place quite often since living in Indianapolis. I absolutely love it! The sandwiches are so diverse and yummy! I normally get the Debbie Disaster and absolutely love it! The prices aren't bad either! I love the open environment and friendly staff!
(5)Rob S.
Break away from subs and burgers, have a bagel. The chalkboard filled menu has all the options you want and if not, then create your own bagel delight. The smoke cheddar is awesome on a bagel and I highly recommend the horseradish and sprouts, if available. Don't forget to sin a little and grab one of their magical rice krispy concoctions before you leave.
(5)Jon C.
Ripple Bagel & Deli is one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite when I'm in Broadripple. The place isn't fancy - the menus take up an entire wall and can be overwhelming, but it doesn't take long to drill down to what you're looking for. Feeling lucky or adventurous? Try "The Lottery" and let the experts make something for you. I've done this a few times and I've never been disappointed. Give this place a try - just beware when there's a lot of people, it can be chaotic. Find what you want, step up to the bar, and place your order. Then.. REMEMBER WHAT YOU ORDERED because they're gonna yell it out. Don't be looking at the menu and getting confused and forgetting what you ordered, or you're going to be waiting for awhile.
(5)Ashley S.
Oh my gawd Becky, this place is heaven. My go to since 2003. The menu options go on for days. Do not be overwhelmed though.. pick a bunch of your favorite things & they'll turn it into a bagel sandwich. The staff, over the years has always been patient & extremely helpful. I have found (rarely ever happens though) that if my sandwich was made incorrectly - they ALWAYS offer to fix it. Very much my happy place :)
(5)Laquetta D.
Love their sandwiches. If it weren't for the price I'd probably be there everyday. I had their Lady Lix sandwich twice (it's salmon, capers, cream cheese veggies) on an onion bagel. It was absolutely delicious. Friendly employees. I bet the owner yesterday and she was extremely humble and sweet. I'd definitely recommend this place.
(4)Clare L.
This is truly bagel wonderland.... If I could begin to even get a grasp on their extensive menu, I'd recommend a bagel sandwich to get. I feel like you can't go wrong with anything you order - I definitely have never been disappointed. Recently I've enjoyed the Ga Ga Gabor, Morning Mess and Peyton's Pigskin. But., every time I come, there are new pieces of paper hanging on the walls with even MORE bagel sandwich options than the menu board offers. If only I could try all of them... One tip: it gets REALLY hectic in here on weekends and sometimes finding a seat is an issue. There are 5 tables in the place.
(5)Sam M.
Holy Bagel Heaven!! When I was a little girl, my parents used to take me out for a bagel at Einsteins after church. I loved feeling all grown up when they let me choose my very own type of bagel with whatever I wanted on it. Having never actually grown up, I still love building my own bagel combinations, something which Broad Ripple Bagel & Deli is more than happy to assist me with! They have ever combination under the sun...from hearty breakfast options with bacon and eggs, to the sometimes unusual combos with peanut butter and roast beef! It's quite breath taking to walk in and survey an entire wall covered in menu options, including infamous posters of combos created by customers! I give these fine folks a huge 5 stars and a Yelper high five for letting this big kid enjoy her bagel fantasy

Steamed sandwiches? Sounded worth a try. GF got the tuna, which, in retrospect, may have been a poor choice. Hot tuna just didn't do it for her. I got something with roast beef on a dark bagel. It was pretty weird. It had kind of a nasty taste to it, and the bagel was really chewy. As I bit into it, it was so hard, most of the sauce oozed out, so it was a mess to eat. But that might have helped it a bit, because I think the nasty taste was the sauce. Not good. 'Seems like all of their sandwiches are weird. I wanted to like the place, as the names of the sandwiches are actually really cool. But the taste was just not good. I wouldn't repeat.

I had forgotten just how delicious a "real" bagel was. I had gotten used to grocery store and Einstein's until I popped into Ripple per a suggestion from a friend. I ate my everything bagel with lox and cream cheese an hour ago and am still obsessing about it. The consistency and flavor were perfection! We got two bagels with cream cheese (plus mine with Lox) and it was just around $7 and some change. Very reasonable.

Lots of options, good prices, friendly staff. Bagels are decent, the fillings are yummy.

There's something for everyone here with their extensive options. Go for the High Maintenance or Debbie's Disaster if you want something with turkey on it.

You won't find a better breakfast sandwich in town, and the owners of this place are some of the best people I've ever met in Indy. Feeling like breakfast? Snag an Egg McMahon or a Miami. Hungry for lunch? The Cardiac Ken is my favorite. Need something sweet? The Sweet Honey Pie is just what you need!

I have seen this place a million times and it has never crossed my mind to try it. I was going to an outdoor concert at the park and wanted to pick up a sandwich along the way so I thought is give it a try. Maaan, I have been missing out! They have a huge selection, I made my first choice - High Maintenance - but I saw so many more that I want to try. My sandwich was absolutely perfect, I can't wait to go back! Do not walk past this place, go in and try it!

I tried to love this place, I really did. I'm such a lover of bagels, so a bagel sandwich had me sold. On my first visit, I was a bit confused by the menu, so I played it safe and ordered a peanut butter and jelly on plain, which was yummy! My second visit, I ordered a steamed turkey with cheddar cheese on a sundried tomato bagel. The sandwich was soggy and chewy and did not really have much flavor. I enjoy the concept of a steamed bagel sandwich, however I don't like the idea of it being soggy. Maybe I'll venture back for another try, but I might have to stick to the peanut butter and jelly.
