Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Used to enjoy, then notes of limits of ingredients were posted on display screen, not as clean either...... Food seems old and sitting a long time....

My co-workers and I eat here about once a month - and we keep coming back. The food is very tasty and the burritos are fantastic. They have a varied menu and each time I visit I am able to try something different. This place is always packed during lunches - a good sign. The only reason I don't reward additional stars is that the tray area where you leaves your dishes is always messy and filled with dirty plates. Hello, Habanero - get someone to clean this area during your busy lunch.

Best burrito in town in my opinion, especially the Asada and Cilantro Cream. Add a cup of their delicious queso and finish up with trip to the salsa bar for a meal that will make your mouth, stomach, and wallet happy!

We had to run some errands in Fishers today. We were getting pretty hungry and Derek (thats my husband) said he wanted to try something different for a change, sooo we ended up at the Red Habanero!! You know how it is when you are starving and afraid to eat someplace new because you don't want it to be disappointing?!? Not a problem here!! Food is fantastic!!. I got the chicken enchilada with the cilantro cream sauce. I live in Bloomington so I wont get many chances to eat there, but the next time I'm in town I will make it a point to eat there again!!! Like i said earlier-- It was fantastic!!! :)

This is fast food Mexican. It's like a Chipotle in that you walk down a counter and tell them what fillings you want in your burrito/taco. Even the enchiladas are made that way which is a little weird because they don't put it in an oven after assembling it. However, the salsa bar makes up for these shortcomings. Order a basket of chips so you don't miss out. They are a half dozen different salsas to try and they are all excellent in their own way. Some spicy, some smoky, some thin, some thick. There's something for everyone.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. Both the fish tacos and the avocado salad were wonderful!

Very surprised I have not reviewed this. "Red Hab" is one of those places you make a special stop at whenever you have an opportunity. The very best Mexican fare in the area, their food is prepared in front of you fresh and hot. My favorite is the Wet Burrito, and with the Red Sauce, Queso, and Verde, it looks like the Mexican Flag. Quite an honor. Also excellent is their Fiesta Nachos, a large plate of nachos with beans, meat, basically whatever you want. They have a great selection of drinks like a bar would have, and they have a great salsa bar, with lots of selections in including their Habanero salsa, not for the weak. Prices are reasonable; no table service.

I am a big Mexican food fan. I will try and eat almost anything on any menu and when the pics show off flavor-full goodness, I get REALLY excited. I mean, when you walk in and everything is clean and welcoming, one will certainly be interested in what's to come. In addition, despite a busy lunch day, my hubby and I were seated quickly and served graciously. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was just "meh". I truly wanted to love my food and according to the menu, the Wet Burrito looked FULL of flavor with layers of sauces I would want to drown myself in. Um....let's just say it was literally one of the most bland things my tastebuds have ever attached themselves to. I wanted to send it back. I kept eating it and tore apart the chewy tortilla to get into the middle, where I thought I MIGHT find something good, but alas, I did not. It was as if they forgot to add spices at all. I don't want to spend my lunch adding salt and pepper, hot sauce and cheese dip to attempt an edible meal. I didn't say anything to the manager but I won't be back. Don't worry. My hubs is not as picky and this joint is super close to his office. Let's just be clear - with SO many Mexican restaurants in the area, this chain isn't cutting it.

The experience was a little weird; ordered at the counter like a fast food joint but the food was more along the lines of a sit down Mexican restaurant. The food was amazing but I don't think the prices are very appropriate for this kind of set up; $30 for two people seemed a bit much. However, I do recommend eating here, wet burrito was delicious.

There are TWO "Red Habaneros" on East 96th street. If you ordered at the counter, and took your food to your table, then you ate HERE. If a WAITER came to your table, and took your order, and brought your food to your table, then you ate at the OTHER one, yelp.com/biz/red-habaner…

Decent food. I placed a to go order and I was missing an item. Called the location back since I live nearby to pick it up. Guy argued with me and said I was lying about 1.99 rice. I was done after that. Poor customer service!

Really? Overcharged me for the lunch special and refused to re-run my credit card. Maybe you should ask me what I ordered before swiping my card. And definitely don't tell me it is my fault that I didn't tell you what I ordered. That should be the job of the cook. Or better yet, assume that since it's lunch time that maybe I ordered off the lunch menu. As long as I'm in this b@tchy mood I will also report that the tables are filthy and the shredded lettuce was brown and gross looking. You've lost a customer because of your crappy attitude and lack of customer service, and received an unfavorable review over maybe a dollar. I won't be coming back.

Like making out with a second cousin at a family reunion...you know you shouldn't, but you see her there looking sooo inviting; and man, you really start thinking just a taste...next thing you know, you're hooking up in a coat closet, feeling guilty and not quite satisfied. This place is a step up from a Taco Bell and a step down from a Chipotle. We were needing a fix of Mexican. This place was close. This is cafeteria style Mexican; probably fine for lunch, but not worth a dinner stop.
