Had a superb dinner here last night. The food and service were both excellent. From the small plates section we had the mussels and the octopus. The mussels were good, but the octopus was definitely the winner. From the entree section we had the scallops and the flank steak. I'd give a slight nod to the scallops. Everything was fresh and extremely flavorful. The kitchen obviously has done a great job pairing the right ingredients together. It's a small space and it does tend to get a bid loud. It would also be nice if they served a small basket of bread with dinner. Other than that, pretty much a perfect meal.

My husband and I went to check it out for Devour Indy. We were torn between the Devour menu or just ordering off the regular menu. It really didn't matter because most of the Devour items are on the regular menu so we were not missing anything. Everything we ordered was amazing and cooked to perfection. Great use of local ingredients and flavors. We want to go back just to try more of the menu. Great atmosphere and decor. Would recommend making a reservation as there are not many tables. My ONLY complaint is that it can get pretty loud in there. It was a little difficult to have a conversation with my husband who was just across the table from me. However, that will not keep us from returning.

The restaurant is located on the same block as the library so it's easy to find. Initial impressions were really positive - it's well decorated and feels very trendy. I was excited about their menu, and my lunch partner and I liked everything so much we decided we'd split our sandwiches. Given it was a weekday lunch, I would have preferred to have a quicker turnaround time to get our meals, but it was worth the wait. I strongly recommend the grilled cheese with fig jam. Also, the cost for two for lunch was just under $25, which I thought was pretty awesome. I wouldn't think I'd be this excited to go visit Indianapolis again, but I would seriously be thrilled for the chance to visit Plow and Anchor again!

After deliberating on which eatery to have an impromptu date night, we decided on Plow and Anchor. We didn't really know what to expect outside of Yelp reviews because neither of us had heard of it. In a nutshell, it was a fun, different, revolving menu, fresh ingredients, small portions, very delicious and a little pricey. We shared the charcuterie as an appetizer. It was very good -- high quality. My husband ordered the arctic char as his main entreé, but due to a waitstaff snafu, he ended up with the halibut which was still awesome. I ordered the halibut ceviche which was light, lovely and delicious. I didn't want it to end. For dessert, we shared the most delicious creme bruleé that I've ever had and the base was sweet pea! I'd say if you're looking for a fancy-ish dinner with an adventurous menu, then this is the place for you. However, if you're dining on a budget and have a picky palate, you may wanna skip it. We, on the other hand, will likely be back.

It may have been because it was race weekend (but we were nowhere near the Speedway, though?), but this place was really loud. Many of the tables had parties of 8+ yammering and hootin' and hollerin' away like it was Brooklyn or another stereotypical city where the people are way too loud. And these were all well-dressed yuppies, for the record. Lay off the rosé. There are starving kids who can't afford to shop at Whole Foods that would like that stuff. Apart from this, the decor is very minimalist, which works well for them. For my meal, I had a Moscato that tasted like grape juice (well, more like grape juice than Moscato typically does), the ramp sope, and the silky snapper. I'd really like to know what they did to the avocado in the ramp sope, because it tasted really great and the pork cheek was very tender. The snapper was also very lovely and silky as its name implied. There was even a jumbo shrimp hidden within the pilaf that was probably the best shrimp I've ever eaten in my life. For dessert, I had the peanut butter semifreddo, which was drizzled in caramel and topped with pretzels, and chocolate crumbs. Our waiter apologized for the noise that night, so I'll just assume that the place wasn't as cacophonous as it was when we went.

Went w a group of 6. Had the crab small plate which was quite good. Friends had calamari which was much better! My entree was Skate Gumbo - something I'm now going to need on a regulate basis.

Great vibe in this trendy new Indy oyster joint. Kudos to owner Craig Baker. I must concur with the reviewer who had oysters and the octopus dish. Order both! Fresh and fabulous. I can say we have never had such tender and well seasoned octopus. Chef Toby Moreno knows what is what. The seasonings of Mediterranean and Mexican spices shine through with grilled fennel. The arugula/rocket salad stands out, as it, too, has a unique citrus - blend dressing. Thinly shaved beets, carrots and radishes accompany. Shout-outs to server Taylor and sou chef Adam who makes the pistachio tortillas, good job to new employee Rory :) Great wine and drinks list as well. Awesome guys, M&N Witte MKE, WI

This is one of those gems of a place. Everything is just right, the atmosphere, food, drinks, service and feel. You really can't go wrong here, their apps / small plates are just the perfect size and their main dishes are always fascinating and perfectly cooked. The menu is small but always has a good variety. Their wait staff is incredibly knowledgable of both the food and wine selections. They also have a great rotating beer selection but this is the place to have your server recommend a wine to go with your meal / pallet. It has a very cool and relaxing atmosphere that just makes you want to enjoy and indulge!! As for the dessert choices, again small but always fresh and a perfect ending to a perfect meal. I have to give a shout out to Stevie, she has been our server twice now and is just superb. Will ask for her by name next time I go in. The food is more farm-to-table style and they specialize in seafood and quality meats. Typically there are 5-6 main dishes with about 8-10 small or appetizers. If you're looking for something that is a little different and off the beaten path this is certainly the place to go.

Had this place bookmarked for awhile and finally got to cross it off my list over the weekend! Hubby and I set out for sushi that night and realized the place we had in mind was completely booked up. For fear of having to wait until midnight to eat a meal, we ventured out for something new. My husband immediately said, "What about that Plow and Anchor place you told me about?" Plow and Anchor it is! We called on our way to make sure there was space and the receptionist mentioned that there was plenty of space at the bar. Walking in, the atmosphere is very inviting, warm. We were seated at the bar right in front of all the action. I loved that they had hooks for purses and coats within the bar so that you could enjoy yourself and not worry about holding on to your belongings. The menu items are ever-changing and since we hadn't tried oysters before, we thought we'd try them that night. With advice from the waiter, we ordered two east coast oysters and two west coast oysters. They were so good that we ordered four more. The oysters are $3/ea and they have a different daily selection each time. It's great to sit at the bar because they have all their oysters labeled by name and by location making it easy to remember which ones you had. You can also watch all the other appetizers being prepared and make a mental list of items you're going to try at your next visit :) We ordered the Grilled Octopus as well and I believe this was on buttered semolina toast. It was so good! The octopus was cooked to perfection and the sauce was very flavorful. For the main event, my husband ordered the Char and I ordered the Scallops. I can't speak for his Char, but my Scallops quickly became one of the top 5 meals I've ever had in Indy! The scallops were perfection - like butter. They sat atop potato soup and when you had a bite of scallop with a spoonful of the soup, it was just the perfect bite. I think I was in a world all my own as I enjoyed this dish. It will be very difficult for me to choose another main course on my next visit other than the Scallops. If it's on the menu when you go, you have to get this.... And, since the evening was going so well and everything was delicious, we couldn't stop there. Dessert was next and the Beignet dessert was calling out to us. The beignets came in triangle form and sat on top of an apple peanut butter mixture and a jelly concoction. It was like gourmet PB&J! Perfect bite to end the night. We will definitely be back! The staff was informative, polite, and focused. The kitchen is a well-oiled machine. Whatever they're doing, they're doing it right! Visit Plow and Anchor for your next evening out. You won't be disappointed!

Went here on a Thursday night. No problem being seated. We received excellent service. Red sangria was delicious. Cornbread small plate beautifully presented with a wonderful mix of flavored with the melon, tomato, roasted green chilies, and ham. Also had the corn risotto which was rich and delicious. Finally, for dessert the Nutella something ? Was one of the best desserts I've ever had. We will be back.

Plow and Anchor...I wanted to love you so bad! You did so well, but overall our experience here was just "meh." Despite that, the entree I had was absolutely phenomenal and saved the meal, so while there were some hiccups with the oysters and service; gotta give them props for delivering a fantastic entree. The experience started off with a late 9pm reservation. When we got there, we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table. No biggie, they were busy (and for those who read previous reviews about ambiance...they're right...it's LOUD!). We eventually got to our table. It would have been nice for our server to acknowledge and apologize the late seating, but perhaps he wasn't made aware. Nonetheless, we were excited (and hungry) to start off with a dozen oysters. They were pricey at $3 a pop and started off our dinner on a sour note. Why? Well they weren't cleaned properly! You know those sandy pieces of shell that you sometimes need to pick out of your teeth? We had to do that after every oyster! When you're paying $3 for an oyster, you expect things to be perfect and unfortunately...that wasn't the case. We were still hungry and finished them off. I think our server forgot to come by and check how our oysters were, so I didn't have a chance for them to correct it. My wife and I ordered our entrees. The vegetarian entree she wanted just ran out, so that was another disappointing note. I ordered the surf & turf special; pork belly and scallops along with some delicious garnishes and croutons. When the meal came, the portions were light (and the price tag fairly high at over $30+), but it was impeccable. There were only two large scallops and two assemblies of pork belly, but each bite was delicious and I was surprisingly full after eating it. When the bill came, we were overcharged for our meal and the $30 entree appeared on the check as being priced at over $50. I finally had to say something and explained my frustration to the server privately. He fixed the price of the entree (which was just a mistake in entering it on their part) and I also explained about the oysters. He was very kind as to give us half price on the oysters which I thought was a nice gesture. I wasn't expecting anything, but I was frustrated at this point that I wanted to go ahead and explain the situation to the restaurant. The apology + a little break on the price of the oysters was appreciated. Overall, it's not a bad place. I just hope if they continue to intend on charging $3/oyster, they be sure to source very high quality ones and clean them properly. I wouldn't pass on the restaurant, maybe just be weary of the oysters (or chalk up my experience to a fluke).

Word of mouth brought us here. Our excellent dinner will definitely guarantee a return visit.Service and food were excellent. We both had the scallops. They were extrordinary. We tried the French Silk pie for dessert. The pie was great, though the crust wasn't as flaky as it should of been, it still was very good. This definitely is a great addition to the Indianapolis dining scene. You will not be disappointed!

Overall: Fantastic food option whether you want seafood or land fare. The good: Great tasting food ranging from fantastic apps and salads to delicious main courses. Everything is fresh and the menu is always changing. The portion sizes are decent and there are a lot of interesting options. The bad: The service was lacking at times, we went long periods without being addressed. The prices kind of climbed quickly. Atmosphere: 8/10 Service: 7/10 Food: 9/10
(4)Marc M.
Inconsistent. Starting with apps, the octopus had way too much seasoning, we left 1/2 of it, yet the cheese plate with fresh preserve was fantastic. For mains, duck was pretty good, but steak and fish had so much seasoning we could not taste flavors. In fact fish had so much salt woke up with a dry mouth! Somewhere in kitchen was a heavy hand. Wine list was above average, great selection. Service was very good as well, we had a super server that made the evening fun.

I think you have to average out your experience over multiple visits, and my last one brought the average up! The halibut was awesome, fig and fields salad had the perfect balance and the dessert--semifredo-- was divine. In the top 10 Indy restaurants, I'd say.

I've been anxiously waiting to visit Plow and Anchor and finally made it there for lunch. I've heard nothing but wonderful things and was not disappointed. I went with co-workers and we decided to share our entrees in order to try more things. Best decision ever!! We had the BLT which is probably one of the best I've ever had. Pretty sure it had something to do with the egg on top, or it could have been the bacon...jury is out on that one. We also split the Shells & Cheese which went perfectly with the BLT. Even though it was lunchtime, I couldn't resist the Thyme biscuit for dessert. This stole the show. The black berries, custard and whipped cream, not to mention that biscuit were to die for. Absolutely going back...soon.

DATE NIGHT! That's all I've got.... Just kidding. Wasn't really sure what to expect but had hears nothing but good things. The place was packed which is always a gift and a curse. They seemed a little short staffed this particular night but my date was beautiful and we always have a great time so I was willing to let that slide. We placed our orders and after 10ish or so minutes, they came out to tell us that the dish I had ordered was out... No biggie, I'm nothing if not flexible. When our food was ready, I dug in.... DEEEEEELISH!!! My fish was perfect BUT... After several bites, I realized... THIS IS NOT MY FISH. they switched our orders with the table next to us which was slightly gratifying because what I received was what I originally ordered but then I felt bad because I realized that I had received the last of this particular entrée which was meant for another party. I took another bite and that feeling quickly faded. A little pricey but not crazy pricey. My date was worth it. With a changing menu, believe that I'll return for more options.

Caveat: based on only one visit for lunch. With that, whoa. I mean, whoa. Walking in the door, you're struck by the very modern decor. Looking out the window to the busy streets and buildings, you feel like you're in New York or Chicago and not a much smaller market. The crowd looks like power lunchers, and a power lunch this is! The manager took our order, and asked his opinion between the BLT+ and the Plancha Burger. He didn't hesitate in recommending the burger, so I didn't hesitate ordering it! This may have been the perfect burger. The patty was juicy and seared beautifully. Add bacon, an onion jam, rouille, and a little bit of a spicy sauce, and you're just in burger heaven. I want to go back for all of my power lunches.

The mussels and fries had a delicious cream sauce, and the arugula salad was very good. I had a bbq pork chop with Gouda mac and cheese - the pork was not especially flavorful and the mac and cheese was dry and not too impressive. Of the entrees at my table, the salmon was definitely the best. The service here is great, and it's a nice quiet place to grab a meal and catch up with friends. While this meal didn't stand out, I've had several great dishes here and their rotating menu and wine selection will bring me back.
(4)Stephanie U.
Excellent food! The shrimp ceviche was different than what I'm used to - it had a bit more crunch (I think it was a basil based chip?) but it was delicious. We ordered the rib eye and silky snapper, both were great. The portion size of the entrees were perfect. The main reason I wanted to eat here was for the beignets that I saw on Yelp. The waitress said they don't run out of them often, but of course they were out the day that I went. I was super bummed, but definitely not disappointed when I ended up ordering the peanut butter semifreddo (chocolate crumb, pretzel, blonde caramel, and sea salt). That was one of the best desserts I've had in awhile - I'll have to come back and see if the beignets top it!
(4)Tamara Q.
The space is in a cool, loft-like first floor of a historic down town building. It feels like a twist of clean modern lines and hipster finishing touches. It easily feels like a New York City restaurant. The service was superb-- smiling, knowledgeable, and attentive staff. We got several dishes to share like a salmon appetizer, a salad, halibut, ice cream mulberry pie and a bottle of French Pinot noir. The best parts were the dessert and wine. The food was interesting mixture of different flavors and textures you wouldn't normally expect. The menu changes daily. I would definitely go back. It's an experience to be had!
(4)N H.
Absolutely delicious! And...so dang expensive. The concoctions were superb and creative! There are few places with creative chefs like the ones at Plow and Anchor and if you have a happy bank account, head here for a nice night. I have to mention that the portions are very small and you should get an appetizer and maybe a late night snack afterwards.
(4)Lyndsey E.
Went here for devour and the menu they presented was one glass of wine included. The waitress was nice however hard to understand and brought a second glass of wine without asking. So our $80 dollar devour meal turned to $125. Food was under seasoned and I could have made at home. Will not frequent this establishment. Again I was Mislead.

My girlfriend and I had our first dinner date in Indy at the Plow and Anchor. We were impressed by the prompt, courteous service we received from everyone working that night. We sat at the bar as there were no seats available at the time we arrived; however, we had a great time with Sean (our server) and the other servers working the area. It was a very nice time for us to catch up with each other since we had not seen each other for several years and enjoy some great food. After returning to visit again, I called and asked the hostess if it would be possible to reserve two seats on the same side of the bar to relive the memories from our previous visit and create new ones. The hostess was very grateful and reserved the two seats for me, even leaving place cards with our name on it and the time of the reservation. It was made even more special as Sean was once again our server and the guys behind the bar were once again shucking oysters and preparing desserts. Again the staff hit all the high marks they did previously and helped make our second date at the Plow and Anchor even more special. I plan on moving here in July and can assure you that my girlfriend and I will be spending special moments with y'all. Thank you for caring about your customers and providing great service, tasty entrees and a very clean and happy environment.
(5)Jason T.
Very nice restaurant and decor, the food was fresh and delicious and the service was excellent as well! But unless you want to drop $20 for a hamburger for lunch, I wouldn't suggest going here. It was in my opinion extremely overpriced but you could tell the quality was very high! One thing they could improve on would be the chairs, every time you move them they are super loud and Obnoxious. You would think for a high-end restaurant they would have nicer chairs! If you want to take a date there and impress them I would take them here, but otherwise I don't think I would go here again. Thanks but no thanks.
(3)Tom W.
For a Foodie, this is a slice of heaven. The starters include amazing salads, a tartar choice, and my favorite...the Mushroom Flan. A small smoky and mushroomy flan served with arugula, and potato. Scrumptious! Entrees are creative and all delicious. Our party sampled the Skatewing, Quail, and Flounder dishes. Shared bites brought moans of approval. I had the Duck Breast which was perfectly cooked and seasoned, served on a bed of grains that could not have been any more delicious. Wow! The service and wait staff were terrific. The only downside is the noise level in the dining area makes it hard to have conversation.
(5)Amy R.
I am quite sad to give Plow and Anchor only 3 stars. This is in hope that my next visit will be better and that I just caught them on a bad night. We had a reservation for 7:30, but we're not seated until 7:45. Okay, it is somewhat understandable because it isn't a large place, but if that has been the only issue, I could have overlooked it. The first thing that I noticed when arriving was the complete haze over the entire restaurant. At first I thought that perhaps there had recently been a recent mishap in the kitchen causing this problem, but since it stayed that way throughout the entirety of our stay and I got to where at the end I couldn't breathe, I realized they have a huge ventilation problem in the kitchen. I would advise anyone with asthma to steer clear until they resolve this issue because otherwise you will need your rescue inhaler! Service was at a snails pace. Our server arrived somewhat soon to our table, but then discovered that our table wasn't set with any water glasses. I am guessing that she has to wait for some to be cleaned because 15 minutes later she came back with them. Let me just fast forward to the fact that it took us over an hour to get our food. Rediculous! The food was okay, nothing to write home about. It really was not as good as other restaurants that I have been to at a similar price point. Some of my opinion may be clouded by the smoke filled room or the long wait. I really did want to like Plow and Anchor. I will give it another chance, but will wait until I can actual enjoy my dinner rather than trying to figure out how to breathe while waiting for my food. Hopefully they will fix the ventilation problem otherwise I won't return.

I went here with 3 friends and every dish we got looked very good! Our waiter was very cool and informative. One of our friends never had an oyster before and he was very knowledgeable on what kind/flavor she'd like. I had some oysters as an appetizer and the roasted halibut for dinner. Halibut is probably my favorite fish to eat, and the only place I've been 100% pleased eating it was when I went to Alaska, AND at plow & anchor. It was very delicious, not heavy, and very flavorful. A+! For dessert we had the lavender biscuit and something chocolaty (can't remember). I wasn't blown away by the biscuit or the other dessert, but I could see how others may love it. Overall, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Indy and I can't wait to go back again. Besides, any restaurant with a seasonal (and small) menu already gets 3 stars in my book :)
(5)Stephanie S.
I loved the feel and decor of the restaurant. It was very hip but classy and clean. I had the Summer Risotto and had bites of the Fish and chips and the Salmon and all were delicious. The risotto was absolutely amazing. I wanted to order another one to take home with me. I will definitely go there again to try some of the dinner options! Price was a little more than I wanted to pay for lunch, so that is reason its a 4 STAR in stead of 5.
(4)Jerry W.
I tried this place out for lunch. My server was friendly and helpful. The decor and ambience were fine. My problem was with the food. I ordered the fish and chips. The fries tasted fine, and the fish was crispy. But it was completely void of flavor, not even salt. I tried dipping them in their house made tarter sauce but it was made with mustard and was awful. I tried the tiny side of slaw but it was coarse cut and used something other than vinegar as a base. It wasn't pleasant. I sent the fish back and just settled for dessert, semifreddo. It was very good and they didn't charge me for it. I would have paid for it since it was good but they charged me for the bland fish instead.
(2)Allison F.
I bought a miniature spatula after eating here, because you'll want to lick up every last bit of your meal. Get the skate!
(5)Laura Z.
Hands down, this is my favorite restaurant in Indy. They always have well thought out, vegetarian dishes. I appreciate that they don't just edit a meat entree or rely on pasta or fake meat, but actually design dishes around seasonal vegetables and grains. I have had some of the best meals I've ever eaten here, and the menu changes frequently, so you always get something new. My meat eating husband loves it equally, and apparently the beef tartare and skate fish are to die for. Service is always great, and they take reservations unlike a lot of places. I love this place.
(5)Michelle Q.
Enjoyed this for a Friday downtown lunch. Great way to end the week. The decor and service were impeccable. The inside had crisp, modern decor. The table settings were lovely. The beer list were limited but represented a few local favorites and all were quality. We started off with the P&A Ribeye Tartar. Would highly recommend this app as a unique and flavorful start for either lunch or dinner - house bacon and quail egg kick this dish from good to spectacular. Presentation and flavor both were spot on. Main dish was Pork Belly Rueben. This star stole the show. It was perfectly prepared and was easily one of the best sandwiches I've tasted in Indy or abroad. The meat was tender and charred to perfection. Bread was toasty but still tender. Fries with homemade ketchup were tasty but I was definitely wishing I had ordered the amazing looking onion rings. Overall, I highly recommend this as a downtown lunch stop and can't wait to try in the evening for dinner.
(5)Patricia N.
Fab night with girlfriends. They serve amazingly fresh oysters. My favorites were the "Naked Cowboys," followed by the Montauks. For the entree, I had the burger, which I thought was ok. It's hard to enjoy a burger solo though. Don't miss out on the beignets for dessert.
(4)Jim W.
This is the best restaurants I have been to since I could remember. I don't give out high rating very often but this place deserve a five star rating. This settings were awesome, the food is just absolutely amazing, and the price honestly isn't bad at all. I had the pork belly, which is amazing, the fat is rich and mouth melting. However, it was well balanced out with the fresh vegetables in between the pork belly and sausage on the bottom. The entire meal has a pour over soy sauce flavor touch to it. I have to say is a little salty since the sausage is already pretty flavored in salt but over its still amazing. In additions, the water they serve are from this vero water that tasted refresh. In my opinion this just adds to the uniqueness of this restaurant compares to others. They are amazingly detailed in their works, I came from a restaurant family so these things I pay extra attentions on. Such as noticing the waitresses changing out the forks and knife after salad for us. Coming over every often to fill up our waters when is only half full. This is what i called details and attentions.

Plow & Anchor is the latest farm to table restaurant to hit the Indy dining scene. Located off of 9th Street right next to the Central Library in what once The Bar, you will find the space has been opened up and is much lighter than the previous occupant. The modern design, open space, exposed ducts, and white walls makes the restaurant feel much larger than it truly is. If you happen to dine during lunch hours, you could use the libraries parking garage. If you happen to be there during dinner hours, there is some street metered parking spots right next to the restaurant. Like most farm to table restaurants, the menu is driven by the season. The current menu is full a nice selection of options that one wouldn't think of mixing together. While there isn't a specific gluten free menu, many of the items could be modified or were gluten free naturally. I was very impressed with the service, for the sheer fact that the server knew the menu ingredients very well and if there was anything in question, they worked with the chef in order to verify cooking methods and ingredients, including what I would like to call "hidden" gluten, i.e. ingredients in sauces. For starters, I opted for the spring pea and radish salad, which took a mix of sweet peas, radish, and arugula and topped it with horseradish and buttermilk dressing. The mixture of flavors was good. Nothing seemed too overpowering in that the bitterness and sweetness equaled out. I opted of the hanger steak for the main dish. The steak was cooked and presented well. The addition of the egg added a nice flavor and texture to the potatoes. While I wasn't a fan of the nduja, the dish was good and and extremely filling. I look forward to seeing what other inventive dishes they come out with as the season changes.

Overall, fabulous experience! Everything from the decor to the service was grand. Honestly a friend and I just stopped in to check things out and have a few beers before a show in Fountain Square. But boy were we in for a surprise when I asked to see the dinner menu; for a smaller menu it was filled with great options whether you want vegetarian, fish, or beef. I got the flounder and it was pretty much perfection. I was in awe of how delicious everything was. Because dinner was so great I HAD to try dessert so I went with the bartenders suggestion and got the twerx...an upscale play on the ever so yummy twix bar. It too was not a let down. Beer and wine selection was also on point. Though the restaurant is quaint, it doesn't feel small or cramped. The openness of the kitchen is very inviting. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. I will be back for sure!!

Heart set on fried chicken - out. Settled for steak - not enough meat. Scallops delicious. Very slow service. Water not refilled.

Returned to Plow & Anchor for the second time but my first experience wasn't the full deal (Devour Downtown menu). The food took a while to turn up to our little party but when it did it was well worth the wait. Very good food, large portions, great wine, cool place and excellent staff

I chose Plow and Anchor for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend this past Tuesday. We made reservations, but it was never more than about half full. Despite great reviews, I was afraid this hot new place would be a overhyped, but we had an incredible experience. Charles, our waiter, was great. The pacing was great. The music wasn't too loud. But most importantly, the food was great. We tried a LOT of dishes, and EVERYTHING was fantastic. - Attems Sauvignon Blanc: very refreshing and hit the spot - Octopus tartine: INCREDIBLE - Oysters from New Zealand and British Columbia: okay, it turns out oysters aren't really my thing, but this is the place to try them - Scallop ceviche: smallish but really good! - Salmon tartare: unique and tasty! - Fish taco: super good, and I'm a fish taco stickler! - Pork cheeks with gnocchi: This dish was to die for. Seriously one of the best things I've ever eaten. The meat was fall-apart tender! - Beignet: banana and Nutella?! Can't go wrong! - Cheese selection: it was really fun trying all 5 varieties, plus they came with a cherry compote with mustard seeds that was delicious I'm very grateful for a wonderful birthday experience! I can't wait to go back and try more items, especially the Plancha burger.
