Came here for brunch with friends before we headed north out of town. It's a very convenient location from the highway, gotta say that. Their actual brunch menu is smallish but covers the basics, and the full regular menu is also available. I know it's a chain restaurant in a sea of them, but we really had a pretty solid experience. Our waiter was pretty on top of things, and gave us time when we thought we had another coming, but then took our order promptly. He also brought out their bread basket and those rolls were really delicious. I got some kind of scramble with various veggies, sausage and eggs and potatoes. It was really tasty. Those breakfast potatoes are yummy. The coffee was solid, too. My friends got omelets and waffles and everyone seemed pretty happy with their food. The waiter was also glad to split the checks up for us three ways, which we really appreciated. I have no idea what their typical lunch or dinner service is like, but for a chain brunch place near the highway, I had no problems with O'Charley's.

There is a scene in "The Most Dangerous Game" in which Rainsford is given the choice between being hunted and being whipped to death. Upon arriving at the faux-asis known as O'Charleys in Northern Indianapolis, I sensed a similar sort of trap. "Would you like to wait for a dining room table or sit in the bar?" We took our chances with the bar. Like General Zaroff, the staff seemed intent on giving us an uninterrupted three hour head start. I sat with three of my oldest friends, listening to loud off-color jokes, and thinking fondly of Rainsford's Ugandan knife-trap. Ten minutes crawled past. It had been a long day of crushing the hopes and dreams of bright-eyed teenagers. Twenty minutes committed their respective suicides. My envy mounted. And though we were surrounded by an army of waitstaff, we were ignored entirely. It was breathtaking. I collected menus myself. I had to practically threaten legal action to extract a glass of water from the bartender for my friend's headache. There are occasions when service is so conspicuously absent as to amount to criminal neglect, when indifference is elevated to a transcendent art form, when securing a fork requires effort more befitting acts of international diplomacy. This was one of those occasions. There was a moment, a primal moment, in which I met the eyes of the young man we'd figured to be our waiter via process of elimination. He stood stock still and stared right back at me, as a man unafraid to be eaten by the tiger before him. After forty minutes we gave up and went back to try the dining room. If the ignorance and apathy displayed by the barstaff was spectacular, the dining room experience was spectacularly mediocre. I drank a semi-frozen margarita from a glass bigger than my last apartment. My friends were denied the prime rib. An entertaining series of mid-level management stopped by our table to offer their insincere apologies. We enjoyed ourselves. But it was rather like the way in which you might enjoy thirty-two seconds of a lukewarm shower after a twenty mile hike through a muddy valley in the rain. I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment. I give it four thumbs down, and may I suggest that if you are considering dining here, that you instead consider undercooking a Digornio pizza instead.

My first time @ O'Charley's. Was skeptical but very pleasantly surprised by: friendliness, prompt service from sweet Lila, great check-in w/us by manager Jeff AND really tasty dinner. Jeff stopped by to see how our dinner is going and shared some little July 4th experiences. Very personable. We had 1/2 rack of ribs which were meaty, yummy and fall-off-the-bone great. Sides: HUGE 'side salad', smashed potatoes and 'loaded potato' were great. My mother said the broccoli was the 'best'. (FYI - we love to cook and are 'picky'). The broccoli was cooked perfectly and had terrific flavors. Last but not least...Mom enjoyed her peach pie. I had part of a HUGE bowl of a decadent brownie w/vanilla ice cream, chocolate & caramel sauces. Insanely huge and wonderful; enough for 3 people. Oh, and the pre-dinner rolls w/butter were good (we were starving). We'll be back, definitely. Tasty food and great, friendly service.

We'll I have been a fan of o Charley's so reviewing them is easy for me I went last night ordered the potato soup and it was good not great very thick , the main meals were ok not on par withy other locations thou. The service was quick to the move drinks fast bread rolls were consistently refilled I saw about three time in the hour I was there. The fried food is iffy at this location my first order was burned and the oil you could tell it was fried In was dirty told this to the waitress order a re fry and it was great after words and manager was very respectable about me having over fried food and was not judgmental and very positive. This location was very clean restrooms were manageable and clean and the environment was acceptable just a little warm but it is winter out so keeping warm is a positive I guess lol hope this helps someone enjoy.

I have to say that I never really think about going to O'Charley's but I I happened to have gone twice in the last month and I was pleasantly surprised. The warm rolls that they bring to the table are just as delicious as I remember. And they'll bring you as many baskets as you want but you have to be careful because you'll enjoy them so much, you might forget that they're bringing you an entree. The first time I went to O'Charley's I wanted to get the chicken tenders but I gave up fried food for Lent so I went with the Teriyaki Sesame Tilapia off their $7.49 menu. I won't say it's the best fish I've ever had but for $7.49, it was pretty darn good. The fish wasn't over cooked, the wild rice was nice. The next time I went, Lent was over so I ordered the Chicken Tenders that I'd been craving. I went with the $7.49 menu again and ordered it with the naked twisted chips. The chicken tenders were not as good as I remembered them to be in college but they weren't bad. The naked chips were fun and delicious but next time I might get the sweet potato fries instead. Some of the friends I went with ordered salads and the lunch portion is a generous size. They also said the salad were quite tasty too so a win win!! The best part was that we all had 1:00 meetings to get back to and were in and out in 40 minutes. That's pretty impressive considering the restaurant was full. I'm not going to claim that O'Charley's is my favorite restaurant but I definitely prefer it over some of the similar chains that exist.

I love O'Charley's food, I really do. I used to work at a different location and everything is so tasty! It seems, however, that every time I visit this location the service just disappoints me. Not so horrible I wouldn't return but I am just so let down...maybe I have too high of standards since I know how I used to serve there. The last time I was there the manager looked as if he was about to scream and punch the wall. He looked so angry walking around and it was quite odd. Our server was pleasant...sometimes, she was busy, which I more than understand but when she was at the table she didn't really listen and it was so frustrating! Near the end of the meal, the angry manger came over to see how our evening was and he seemed so calm and pleasant that after he left my mom and I just looked at each other and started giggling. What a 180 he just pulled, it was so odd. As for the food the the last time I went, it was ok. Rolls were good but our appetizer was a disappointment. We got the chips with the queso sauce on them and it was super runny and just kinda made the chips soggy and barely stuck to it. We both got the Black N Bleu salad which was delicious as always except mine had a TON of bacon crumbles on it. Someone got a bit careless, overall though, it was still the good food I remember. I will still return, I just hope someday I will have a good all around experience!

A group of us went here before an outing and I just had to write a review. Our service was terrible since we had to ask for things two, three times and our server even used the excuse that the iced tea was "stinky" so they were making more which is why it wasn't out yet! (gasp).... Needless to say the service was horrible but the restaurant is dirty and the food is to be expected (is it microwaved?? I can't tell.). That said, I really don't recommend.

3.5 stars. I am surprised this location has not been reviewed yet. Came here for lunch and I ordered the fresh strawberry lemonade made from scratch and for the entree chicken tenders with chips. The biscuits were soft and fluffy, served with whipped butter. I thought the chicken tenders were pretty tasty and crunchy. The chips I didn't enjoy so much, they were clumped together and were not what I had hoped for. The lemonade was pretty bomb-ass delicious with real sliced strawberries. Overall, not bad but I think I would have to try more items to get a better feel for the food. Prices were decent and portions were filling. I would recommend this place for lunch or dinner with friends.

O'Charley's as a chain is one of my favorites. I love their soups, salads, solls, and I've honestly never ever had a bad meal. Service, of course, is another story. Recently my folks and I went for dinner. We were starving and elected to sit in the bar. There was basically no one there. It took a while to get service and our server was very unattentive. Also, I was getting over a really bad cold and wanted nothing more than a bowl of soup to go with my salad that I ordered. We also had an appetizer. The app came, but no soup. There was a long wait in between appetizer and dinner, and still no soup. Finally the dinners came out, and still no soup. I told the guy that I never got it, so please remove it from my bill. Naturally, he blamed the kitchen. Really?! As a responsible server, you should be the one to take ownership of an issue and check to make sure the kitchen is sending out what people ordered. I never get to go here because most of my friends don't like O'Charley's so going here was a real treat. I was really looking to forward to that soup making me feel better since I had a sore throat. So dissappointing. Our waiter was kind of a d-bag. he didn't care that he messed up and wouldn't take responsibility for his actions.
