Always right order every time. I wish they would put just a little more ice in the drinks at the drive thru, they always taste off since they aren't cold enough. Can dine here 24/7. New double car drive thru sped up the line.

I've been through a crap ton of Mcdonalds in different states, and I have never been disappointed until I found this one. It was close to our lodging location, so we stopped by at a familiar place expectin familiar service. We ordered just 4 McFlurries. It's only 10:30 in the evening and the staff couldn't be any more incompetent. This lady, I understood as my cashier because she was just in training. There were these two other stupid ladies that didn't process our order until we asked for it a second time, after 15 minutes have passed. Making ice cream isn't difficult. Surprise-surprise, I know yall work at McDonald's, but damn. Could you be any more stupid?

Worst McDonald's I've ever sat down in. No joke, not a clean table, trash on the floor, horrible service. Manager had no name tag, asked him to clean the tables and he looked at me funny. Who ever owns this location should be here look at this place. Would never return!

  • Maya H.

Obviously don't come here if you're looking for fine cuisine. It's fast food. The staff has always been friendly to me, (my boyfriend and I come here occasionally to meet people from craigslist to trade phones or to fix electronics). They have great energy and are usually really friendly even though this location is busy. They make mistakes sometimes but they fix it without any attitude. I've never heard them forget to say have a nice day or enjoy or something like that when they pass the food over. The food is just the same as any McDonald's, but I think the service seems to be better so I'm surprised the reviews are so terrible!

I give all McDonald's a one star because none of them can make a latte. It never fails they always put whip cream and drizzle in my latte or they'll give me a mocha instead of caramel latte. If they cannot do it right they shouldn't even try. They've made two wrong so far and then they park me next to a trashcan full of swarming bees. This is why McDonald's sucks!!!!!!!

    (1)
  • Patrick T.

The drive through line here is almost always packed. I got to the window once and their system had frozen. Need to be more efficient!!!!! Otherwise it's a regular McDonald's

    (2)
  • Mitchell T.

I'd recommend you sit at their drive thru window for about 12 minutes, sometime around midnight, honking your horn, trying to get someones attention inside. After waiting for 12 minutes you should then park the car, enter the building, and inform the first employee you see that their McDonald's sucks. Wait for it, they'll tell you to F&*$# off...or something along those lines. They must hear that a lot.

Somewhere inside this McDonald's is a trophy case filled with 'the worst of' awards. Having lived downtown since 2006 I have had the misfortune of dining here out of emergency. Literally, I only go here if it is the absolute last resort. Today was one of those 'emergencies'. I had no groceries and I was about to pass out. I just needed a snack! Just a few fries shoveled in my mouth and then I could function again. Of course, in true 16th street McD's fashion they failed at the mere task of fries. My fries were a wet soggy mess. Asking for ketchup was like asking the drive-through attendant for a piece of the moon. Of course she shoved 6 packets of ketchup for my small fries, not in the bag, but into my already full hands! I know few people probably read Yelp! reviews about McDonald's, because well it's only a few dollars you lose. But really if you think about it (and especially here at this joint) you PAY WITH YOUR TIME! People will sit in the drive-thru for over 30 minutes! I see the line almost daily and it wraps around the building at odd hours like 3pm. Those people aren't there for lunch... they are there for the simple ice cream or soda fix. Pulling a lever isn't hard is it?!?!?! Also you shouldn't have to read Yelp! reviews about McDonald's because as a franchise aren't they held to high corporate service standards? Don't people call in to corporate and complain about this place? My general thought about a franchise is that you should expect the same quality and service no matter where you visit IN THE WORLD. Why? Why does the world's worst McDonald's have to be in my neighborhood where I live in Indianapolis? My experiences here over the years have never resulted in a positive one. Even if I go inside to avoid the line from hell in the drive-thru the experience is the same. The order is rarely correct. Order orange juice? They will give you water. Give them $10 for a $6 order and they will give you a $1 in change back. I've even had the person taking my order be condescending toward me. About 80% of the time the employees barely look at you. They are multi-tasking their work with socializing. I mean literally turning over their shoulder away from you to yell at someone else about something non-work related! Once a friend picking me up for a 4am airport drop-off made the mistake of going through the drive-thru for hot chocolate. He was in line for 30 minutes. So even the time of day doesn't better the service situation. Us locals avoid it like the plague. I'm positive the length of the line from hell scares business off too. So how does this place stay in business? Also, my rating is totally generous. If I could, I would give this place zero stars for 'I wish it didn't exist'.

  • Krista R.

Super rude employees! Super slow drive-thru! I love McDonald's for their coffee and oatmeal -- the only things I've ordered from this location. This is how it normally goes down: "Hello?? What do you want?" -- Translation: Can I take your order? At the payment window: "So what did you order?" -- Translation: We're busy and unable to keep track of what you ordered. At food pick-up window: "Enjoy your..." Unable to hear her finish her thought as she closed the window mid sentence. No eye contact, no smiles. If you hate your job go work somewhere else. Food is fine.

  • Catherine K.

Very busy location -- service is always polite but tends to be slow. I don't frequent this location -- if I'm jonesing for a Coke Zero or a sausage mcmuffin, I will usually just wait until I get to the Binford location. But, as long as you're patient, it's not as bad as the other reviews would have you think.

This place might as well almost shutdown. It sucks, because it is the most convenient one in the area. Everytime you go to this place, you have to wait and idle FOREVER before you even get something as simple as a drink or a McDouble (which yesterday they got both of my friend's mcdoubles completely messed up). It doesn't even matter how busy the place is. Most of the workers are incredibly slow. However, today was a particularly interesting day. I went in to get a drink for my friend and me. I'm obviously sick and not feeling well, my eyes are watering, nose is running, I'm walking slow and my eyes are barely open. Therefore, I'm not going to spend my time fixing my hair when I'm just trying to run into get a drink. Who the fk needs to have his afro perfect to go to a place such as McDonald's? But some complete jackass as soon as I walked in started laughing and making fun of my hair with some of the employees in the back corner and was even taking a picture of me. I've never in my life was so pissed off. All of these grown people in their 20s acting like children. But then it was a wasted effort when they didn't take cards. WHAT?!?! It's 1:30 p.m. on a Saturday. How ridiculous. Someone immediately needs to get in there and revamp this staff immediately, get them excited, show them the importance or something. Coming from years working in fast food in high school and college, I understand it is a terrible job and you hope one day for something better. But the fact is that you all chose that job, you need that job, so you better start making your customers a priority. As of today, I'm officially done with this place.

Slow and poor service. Though most are polite. Here are some of the examples of service. Drive through 32 ounce drink out of lids they complained I refused the drink. Back when you had to sign the receipts for credit cards typically didn't have a pen for their customers. It took them years to take credit cards. It was only in the last few years they took credit cards. My last visit, the teen behind the counter staring like a deer in the head lights I stood there for over a minute and asked if she was available to take orders and she was but yet wouldn't even greet me. Over the years this is the kind of service I've come to expect. There was one time though where there was a manager who you could tell cared. Wasn't weeks I came back and he was gone. Also, the workers not working typically congregate on a table to the side of the counter or hang out and socialize before they decide to help customers. However, I assume relative to the attitudes they likely don't get paid all that much. Feel sorry for them really. They have one of those faith and blessed signs with a number one can call with service issues. I called and one has to leave a message. Never a return call. This would be a great location for the first Midwest In N Out Burger.

AVOID AT ALL HUMANLY COSTS. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, or to any single convicted rapist this side of the Mason Dixon Line. I've eaten here (not by choice) a good 6 times and every single time, I have the strongest motivation to stab newborn children, solely due to their incompetent staff and complete lack of time management. The manager of this establishment should be tarred, feathered, and forced to sit in their own drive thru for eternity.

  • Rick W.

Hadnt been to this location in a hot minute, and needed a little something for brekkie. I rolled through the drive through, ordered my free coffee and a parfait. (On a diet). I wait and get to the window, and they young lady informs me I have to park, they forgot to make them. Well it is 14 minutes to I start work, and there are 4 cars in front of me also waiting. ( I wonder if for parfaits?) I just take off. It just was not worth the dollar. This store has an obvious problem with their leadership, they advertise 9.00 an hour and still cant seem to get staff. Last time I was in there the manager was so crappy to her employees it made me cringe, I am guessing that is the rule rather than the exceptions. Perhaps Mc D's needs to review this franchise holder thoroughly.

The absolute worst mcd's I've ever visited. Horrible em pluses and horrible management. If you can get in and out in less than 20 minutes you did great! Stay away!

  • Andy T.

Avoid this McDonalds if you can. They have a very bad attitude and often screw up orders. They not only don't care, they actively dislike their customers. I can't understand why they are allowed to carry on the McDonalds name given their consistent failure in every regard. I fart in their general direction

Average transaction time, 20min. No matter the time of day. If it's busy it's about 90min.

  • Leslie H.

Worst drive thru ever! One we paid from the first window, the lady from the second window asked for our receipt and still screwed our order. They also didn't give us sauce for our nuggets even if it was listed in the receipt. Then they forgot to give our drinks. What's worse, the people working have attitudes.

    (1)
  • Justin M.

This is the slowest McDonald's I have ever patronized. To add pain to the injury, they only accepted cash. They apologized for the slow service without making eye contact - this business is far disconnected from the modern standard of fast food service.

  • Dana D.

Stopped in here for some ice cream cones after spending the day at the Children's Museum. We ordered 4 ice cream cones, 1 apple pie and 1 drink. There was no line when we went in. You would think that this would be an easy order that was quickly filled. We waited 10 minutes for that small order. I don't know if they had to milk the cow and hand churn the ice cream or what. Maybe they had to pick the apples and bake it themselves but it was border lining on ridiculous. We finally got our cones and such and sat down. We could not sit without people trying to bum money.

This place is target priority 1 for any upcoming nuclear strike from any country. For the love of God just replace it with Chipotle and someone who can wrap a burrito, clearly remembering a god damn sauce cup and a "have a nice day" was fried out of their heads being in that kitchen so long eating mcbitch wraps for breakfast. Tear. It. Down.

Sometimes you need food, fast. Thus we have Fast Food. McDonald's, a one time treat for me as a young boy craving transformer Happy Meal toys, has now become an occasional shameful meal due to pure laziness. Some McDonald's manage to produce food I can enjoy in a nostalgic way. This is not one of those McDonald's. The chicken McNuggets are stale every time, the fries are always limp and lukewarm. The employees are generally... unpleasant at worst, apathetic at best. What do I expect? Not a lot. Hot fries, fresh nuggets, people who speak in an intelligible manner through the drive through speaker, a flashback to my playing with a French Fry transformer. Is that so much to ask?

    (1)
  • Zach F.

Do NOT go into the dining room unless you want to be constantly hounded for money. The number of people that will come up to you begging for money or a free meal is astonishing. Couldn't even enjoy my breakfast sandwich.

This McDonald's is a treat. Everyone has been to one, so I'm not really commenting on the food. Their food is fine... when you can get it. Twice now, I've been over to get a meal around 5AM (I work nights at the hospital across the street) to be turned away with the comment "sorry we are switching from dinner to breakfast" When asked how long it will take, "I don't know." Can I get anything that was left over? Nope. Since this is a 24 hour McDonald's, I imagine this process happens EVERY DAY. Surely you have seen it happen before. Surely you can guess how long it might take? Instead I just get a blank stare and quietly walk out. Don't advertise 24 hours, if you are only open 22.5 hours a day... A coworker also had this happen and being a bit more upset, she emailed the store manager who later replied, "Sorry. God Bless." I suppose since this location is almost always busy, what is one disgruntled patron? To be fair, I have been around lunch time, and for as packed as it looks, you can still get your food in a decent amount of time. Just don't expect to get the right sauces for your chicken nuggets. Ever.

This is the slowest, rudest Mickey D's in town. Its also the only one close enough to walk to, so...I will be back.

If you are looking for a cozy place to grow old, then your car in the drive-thru at this McDonald's may be for you. There are glacially slow and have been on every occasion. Food is as you'd expect, it isn't any better with the wait.

    (1)
  • Michael C.

All I can say is don't leave without checking your order. They rarely get it right the first time around. And be ready to wait, not very fast for being a fast food restaurant!

    (2)
  • Thu N.

This mcdonalds gets PACKED around lunch time but they handle business at a decent pace. The drive thru line usually wraps around the building and sometimes into the street. It's nice to sit outside at the concrete tables during nice days. You get a variety of people from the city's homeless to business professionals to students to local residents to the medical crowd. People pretty much all mind their own business.
