Excellent Food, Drinks & Service....I'm already wanting to go back! I had the Los Cabos Sampler & the Cabos Blueberry Margarita a friend had the Camerones a la Diabla and another tasty Margarita! There's liquor in those drinks so brace yourself, they make sure they give you plenty! So many choices for drinks and flavors. Some of the best queso , salsa & chips I've had also! I will definitely go back again!!

My husband and I eat at Los Cabos at least a couple times a month. I haven't eaten anything I didn't like at Los Cabos, and I can be very picky about "good" Mexican food. The fresh made tortilla chips are the best. Roger, the owner, is very friendly, but not overbearing. My two favorite items are the Enchiladas De La Casa and the Steak Tacos. Delicious!

What defines this place is the freshness of the food and that everything seemed to be made in house. My quesadilla chicken was not overcooked; no canned tomato; no fakey sour cream; as is usually found in these places. If you're looking for a better version of Cancun, which used to be here, at similar prices then give Los Cabos a shot.

I love their Margaritas! The food was delicious as well. Would totally get 5 stars if the wait staff were able to answer questions since I have a food allergy (mainly speak Spanish).

Went here on a Saturday night during prime dinner rush time. The place was almost empty. Should have been my first clue. The staff was very friendly. Server was very polite and smiled often. The restaurant was garish in its decor. Menus were out of date (some items and names of dishes marked out.) We were seated near what I assume is a chip oven/warmer of some sort. There were chips on top of the oven and randomly scattered along the back of the booth it was next to. Should have been the second clue. There was a man with a guitar trying to sing. I couldn't decide which was more out of tune--his guitar or his voice. It was truly painful. We ordered the guacamole appetizer made at the table. It was delicious. Our entrees arrived VERY quickly (another clue. Why am I still here? *sigh) I took a bite out of my enchilada and had to pull a foot-long hair out of my mouth. The server apologized and took it away. My replacement meal arrived in less than 5 mins. This tells me that the food is not fresh and pre-made and frozen/pre-stocked. It tasted like it too. The red sauce on my enchiladas tasted like someone had opened a can of pureed tomatoes and added some garlic and onion powder to it. It literally tasted like ketchup. The enchiladas wraps were tough and chewy, clearly pre-made and heated up. The meat (chicken and beef) inside was dry and lukewarm. Really bad. I wouldn't go back here. Place is in need of a serious overhaul.

I give one star for the salsa, which is actually quite tasty. I took away the other 4 due to poor service on the two times my family and I have tried to have a nice meal here. The staff is downright rude. The food is very low quality (watery cheese, very fatty/chewy steak, dry chicken, etc) and you are not checked on, your drinks are not refilled and you can't have more chips and salsa unless you walk around, find someone and beg. They will try to add fees, as well. On both occasions they tried to charge me for kids drinks which say "included" on the menu. They also tried to charge me for beans, which came with my meal, and avocado slices, which came with my meal. If you attempt to correct them, be prepared for them to grumble under their breath in Spanish. Also, don't try to use a coupon. They will find an excuse to never let you use it and again, mumble in Spanish under their breath or to someone else nearby. Can you say uncomfortable???

Don't eat here unless you like ants! They were crawling all over the booth and the manager didn't care. His response, "yeah, the ants have been a problem."

Service is really bad and food is worse. Not sure what kind of food this is but it's definitely not Mexican. Perhaps this would be suitable if your taking your dog on a date. On second thought your dog probably would not eat the food served here.

Slow & unresponsive service. Food is below average and too expensive for what you get. The tea and soda was horrible.

(Tina Belcher impression) Uh..... Walls painted in day-glo colors? Check. Misogynist waiters? Check. The same schlock you could get at any other mom and pop Mexican restaurant except not nearly as good? Check check checkarooni. Dude, I love me some Mexican grub, but the last time I went it was... just not that great at all. That lovely picture of arroz con pollo you see? That was mine on my first visit. And I would be inclined to say that it was nice. I went almost two weeks ago and the very very much not fresh tamales that I ordered and didn't finish still haunt me. Also, I really don't appreciate being called "beautiful" by the person who handles my food. I realize that this is probably more of a cultural thing-- latin men aren't accustomed to the feminist ways of las americanas, but I'd like to eat in peace as my looks are extremely irrelevant to the situtation.

I'm going to split the difference right off the bat. The service was a 2, the food was a 4, so I'll give 'em a 3. Matter of fact, the food may have been a 4.5. Everything we got tasted fresh, was hot, and presented well. One of the better mexican food experiences we've had in central Indiana. However, the server didn't seem to care if we were there or not. We requested extra salsa, never got it, empty drinks just sat. I'm a forgiving guy, so I'll give 'em a second chance. Maybe the server was having a bad day. We shall see.

Great Mexican food! I got the steak and cheese wet burrito and was completely full after half of it!!!! Great service. Got a margarita; they did not stiff me on tequila!

I stop in Indianapolis twice a year and my family and I ALWAYS stop in at Los Cabos. They are extremely friendly and the food is delicious! It is something I look forward to every trip almost as much as the trip itself. We have been her during lunch and dinner and are never disappointed I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

My wife and I went to Los Cabos for the first time on March 28. The food was great and the service was excellent. We met the owner, who was very gracious. They even had a magician who came to our table. Great atmosphere!:

I wrote a review of this restaurant, but apparently it got filtered. It really is a shame, it was a most epic review. People lived and died for my review, wrote epic poems about it's beauty and launched 1,000 ships for it. Anyway, the food is good, but it's only Mexican-ish (or, as I prefer to say, 'Gringo'). The service was the reason why I give it 3 stars (instead of 2. Honestly, this would get 2.5 stars if you could give half stars). I think my server got a little too friendly when I spoke a little spanish, though.

Oh what disappointment! 1 star may be an over statement! My 2 children and I went to Los Cabos for lunch last Sunday. I've passed the place many times and thought we would give it a try. The first sign this was not going to be good was the unfriendly host who seated us. Service was slow to say the least. When we finally were asked for a drink order we were ready to order our food..... My children received their drinks But mine didn't come until after the food - terrible. And I had to ask for it??? About the food, oh my, my son ordered the kids Mexican pizza. What he received was maybe a 1/2 bagel with a little pizza sauce and a minimal amount of cheese. One bite and yuck- I couldn't even ask him to eat it. My daughter had the kids nachos. Well what she got was a plate of chips watered down cheese sauce and some chicken. No tomatoes, no lettuce, no sour cream,no sauce. We asked for the toppings to be added and the server was reluctant to fix it.... I ordered the steak Fajitas and the steak was the worst I have had. I had chewy fat in each strip.... And lastly our check, the server charged for kids drinks that come with the meal, the price was wrong on mine also. I asked him to fix it, no apology, just rude- one of the worst places ever.

Meh, top dollar prices for mediocre food. I won't be back. My quest for decent Mexican food on the North side of Indy marches on. I'm beginning to form the opinion that my idea of good Mexican food and what the people of Indiana think good Mexican food is differ dramatically. I have yet to find anything that remotely resembles Sanoran style Mexican grub, I got two tiny tacos with a side of beans and rice for about $10.00 with tax, A lot of beans, a lot of rice, and two tiny sized tacos.

Los Cabos is one of the better Mexican restaurants on the north side. The food is pretty standard, but the drink and dinner specials put it ahead of other restaurants in the area. The service is generally friendly and they have a few well placed HD TVs so it's a good place to watch a game. Before you go be sure to scout out some coupons either in the mail or online, it's a good way to knock 4 or 5 bucks off your bill.

I tried the extreme nachos appetizer. It was okay, but I'm a picky eater. I had to change it up more to my liking.

Slow and unwelcoming service. Chips and salsa were ok. Had the veggie chimichanga and it was mediocre. Not very fresh tasting though. But my husband and father seemed to love their chicken fajitas. Seems to be a hit or miss menu.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
